Bought three sets of these!
I have been using these drill sets for several years now. I first bought my first set several years ago for myself and now have purchased two more sets for my sons. I use them for a variety of purposes: projects around the house, small construction jobs and building sets for film projects.Having the two different drills is great. The impact drill is essential for driving screws into studs without pre-drilled holes. Yesterday I used may impact drill to take out 3 inch screws that has been in place for a decade. A regular drill wouldn’t do it, but the impact drill handled the job effortlessly. The light on the drill was a real help because I was in a very dark area. I use the standard drill for drilling holes and as a driver for smaller easier projects. But the greatest feature for having both drills is on projects where I need to drill pilot holes and then drive in screws. I can drill with one and then use the impact to put in the screws. This keeps me from constantly changing bits and is an incredible timesaver .Dewalt products have proven exceptionally reliable. With each kit that I have bought, I have also added a drill bit set and screwdriver bits as well. You don’t have to buy Dewalt, but I found the Dewalt bits often better than other brands.The batteries that come with the kit are a great starter set. But I’ve added a larger battery so I can do longer projects. When I am working all day and using my drills heavily, an extra large battery and charger is all I need to have power continuously.

Dewalt = Durable
Love the product. Durable AF. I have dropped this from balcony onto the deck below, garage floor, even left it on the tonneau cover on the back of my truck and threw if off going down the road. Still going strong. Some may suggest that maybe I shouldn’t be trusted with nice things. I use this drill/driver for everything from driving screws, to wire brushing, to even putting my shoe shine spindle in the drill and shining my party shoes running the drill for long durations (given under light load).Having the combo set is great for projects where you need to drill and drive screws. Prevents having to switch between drill bits and Phillips drill bits saving a ton of time.Anyways.. a few knocks. Does get hot if you aren’t careful about where you put your hands and blocking the vents. Also, couple years in the battery life is starting to dwindle but that is to be expected. Still a great product for the price and getting two batteries is fantastic.

READ CAREFULLY
I bought this set after just buying a house and needing to do some home improvements. I knew I wanted a cordless brushless hammer drill because I had used a cheap one from harbor freight that had balls, but I wanted to buy a solid one. So off to Amazon I go, searching for “Cordless Brushless Hammer drills”. Among the first few results, this thing pops up. Only $150? For a brushless impact AND drill?? What a steal! …Or so I thought. Didn’t read the product page fully. Somehow Amazon is pushing advertisements for this set despite it being excluded by my search parameters. True, the product page says nothing about brushless or hammer drill, but I was under the impression that they were.All that being said these things seems solid and have some backbone. But they were not what I meant to order and Amazon needs to fix their biased search result system (this was an Amazon recommended product…)

Great Product
Tool set arrived the day after I ordered it. The drill and driver are lightweight, compact and feel great in the hand. Came with a nice, heavy duty tool bag to keep the drill, driver, batteries and charger in. I will be replacing all of my Ryobi cordless tools with Dewalt from here on out.

Well built, easy to grip medium size , nice torque adjustment.
Finally threw in the towel since my hand me down driver started getting finicky with the NiCads, it was time to retire that one to quick use here and there and to move on to something new that had charge capacity.I purchased a Dewalt Impact wrench that out does almost all air wenches and even some corded ones on max torque. I was impressed with it and the hammer action being able to spin off 1′ rusty nuts and from something that was battery powered? Why did I wait years and use cheater bars?I’m back and did the math, pulled the trigger on the impact, two battery, charger and driver combo at a good price. I didn’t need the small impact but I got the bag and two batteries and the driver I needed. I don’t regret it at all. I also ordered the bit collection (DWA2FTS100) and do like Dewalt’s stack-able snap together cases, I wasn’t expecting that and didn’t read that anywhere. I do like the bit-bar design though it took me about a minute to figure it out , works well to secure the bits so they are not rattling around or getting lost if the case does happen to come open for some reason.If the need arises I will continue to look at Dewalt offerings, so far not disappointed with quality, the 4′ storage racks are excellent but a tad pricey though.

Dewalt wireless drill and Impact driver
So far so good. Had one project trying to get a TV mount off the wall. The screws were real stubborn. Went home and grabbed the dewalt impact driver and it made short work of it.I’ve seen a few reviews commenting on the sparks and smell coming from the back of the set. That is friction. This is normal as it is not a brushless drill.

Great Starter Kit and Upgrade from my older 18V Cordless tools

Not brushless motors, so stop the negative reviews
These are the brushed motors version, hence the sparks when used. That’s what happens with all brushed motor hand held tools, they spark. Eventually they subside with use over time, but they will usually always spark. So please ignore the reviews complaining about the motor sparking…..

This is not a brushless drill and impact
These are quality items, I buy them for my business and we use it almost every day. Unfortunately I didn’t have to correct part number and was under the impression it was the new brushless 20volt system. They work great though and we will upgrade next time. Overall great product and great service and delivery.

Plenty of power, battery lasted pretty well but… Originally the Charge time on the battery seemed to take forever and less than satisfactory. However, it isn’t the charging time, it is that it is very difficult to tell if it is charged or charging. Red light on the charger blinking or solid. Looking at a Red light generally tells you something is Not Ready. Still uncertain how long it actually takes to charge, but the drills are very nice and powerful.

Love DeWalt but get bigger batteries.
I’ve owned DeWalt tools exclusively for 15 years, and have many. Never been disappointed. My latest product (DCK240C2) came with discontinued batteries that were extremely bad at run time and holding a charge. DeWalt rep offered me two updated version batteries under warranty. I explained all the above, and that I was interested in purchasing upgraded batteries (DCB206-2) moving forward, but they cost twice as much as the entire two drill set I purchased. The drill set above ran $140 during Xmas….two drills, two batteries and a charger. The upgraded battery set (DCB206-2) with charger (DCB118) runs $275. DCB206-2 runs $185 by themselves. The batteries that came with this set (DCK240C2) run $40 each. She sent me two upgraded batteries (DCB206-2 $185 value) for being a valued customer at no charge, and I can confirm as they just arrived. I happily ordered the charger (DCB118) for $63.

Great for the price.
For what you get and the price I can’t complain to much. It’s an impact driver and drill set with everything it comes with its a great deal. Now I know it comes with the smaller batteries but with that being said if your just driving screws with the impact or drilling small holes with the drill it’s great. But if your going to be using a worm bit or hole saw for any amount of time it kills the batter super fast. So I think with the bigger batteries this set is perfect.

Not as light and no to the light..!
I’m a DeWalt girl from the get go and wanted to upgrade my 12v to a 20v. After much research and reviews I went with this DeWalt 20v drill being that it had the power I needed for my builds while advertised to be light weight. I’m ALWAYS happy with DeWalt but have wished it to be lighter. A bit bummed that not all chargers are alike and work together.. I had to return the bigger one I’d bought and went with a slimmed down version of a lithium battery that made me happy but still too heavy. The light’s power is good but the location doesn’t work for me. Still prefer it at the point of contact NOT having to fuss if it’s lined up or not or if it’s blocked with shadows. Think DeWalt could of cut back on the weight considering what their full size power cord weighs. Still DeWalt ALWAYS a good drill over Makita and the rest. Thanks 👍

I love this drill!!! I used to get stuck trying to drill into the studs, not anymore!! Heck I could probably drill through the stud into the cement with this thing!! Buy this drill it’s awesome! Only issue is the included bag smelled like grandmas 100 year old basement. Kind of a bummer. Still love the drill.

What a Difference Two Volts Makes…
We’ve used and approved of DeWalt tools for decades. For example, the 18Volt drill and driver we bought in 2004 (background pic one) have drilled and driven thousands of holes, screws, and bolts. But recently, we noticed the old 18Volt batteries weren’t holding a charge as well as they had in the past. It was time to update.We ordered the DeWalt 20V MAX drill and driver set.DeWalt didn’t disappoint! What a difference those two volts make! The new units are smaller, and far more powerful. They hold a charge way longer. They’re lighter. We look forward to having them busy in our shop and worksites for the next twenty years. ~ The Duffian

Lives up to the reputation
I got these because I do a lot of utility work in technical theater…everything from repairing props to large set pieces, set construction and repair, and stage lighting maintenance…and I got tired of waiting for the screw gun and drill that we already owned to be available (and then hoping there was still enough life left in the battery to do it). In the year or so that I’ve had these, the one time they let me down was removing bolts that ended up requiring penetrating oil, a top-end wrench, and a 30″ breaker bar to get loose (and even then, it took a guy who has another 30lbs of body weight to put enough torque on them to get them loose). Well worth the money and my only regret is that I didn’t buy them sooner.
