Amazed by this product.
Im a percussion massage type of person. It’s what I was looking for but decided I’d give this type a try. Bare in mind I’m a heavy built 270lbs person and I only do deep tissue. I was amazed at how I was able to put all my weight in different positions and this thing folded me like a hand filled with dough. Highly recommend. The heat is soothing, the vibration is good and depending on the angle it will vary. But like I said I’m a percussion type so I judge vibration harshly. I will confess I take this thing to work every day, I have a power converter and I use it in the car (without the heat and vibration) and at home this thing will literally put me to sleep. Last tip; add a towel on top fold it to layer it to increase or decrease intensity. You will not regret this purchase.

Does Not Work Well For Me!
It has lots of power and appears to be a good quality product. However, for me it just did not work good. I am a small-frame, thin senior female. There were several issues I had with it that I tried and tried to work around but without success. It is heavy, and without a handle or strap, it was challenging for me to position it or handle it without two hands. I had a challenging time trying to position it for comfort, especially with the uneven size of the massage balls – one side always seemed to be uncomfortable to the point of literally hurting. I tried to place a folded towel or other item to pad the discomfort, but that was difficult due to reaching around to my back to do so. The controls are hard to feel for since they are soft and flat. I am returning it and will try the kind that has arm straps to fit my body better and be easier to work with.

Great back massager
I use this at night to help with back pain and muscle spasms. Helps my back a lot. Be careful because if you turn on the heat for a long period of time, the massage part will quit working until it cools down.

Excellent back massager
I have tried multiple of these small back massagers and this one is the clear winner for my purposes. I was originally looking for one with a remote control, which this one does not have, but all the other positives outweigh this nice to have: Very comfortable massage, no fuss controls, soft outer frame and most importantly for me a good heat without overheating. Heat is optional and you can select two speed / intensity levels plus what appears to be a vibration mode – with heat off or on. Love it – definitely a keeper!

Disappointed: Defective Personal Heated Massager
The media could not be loaded.
I recently purchased this Homedics brand personal heated massager and unfortunately, my experience with this product has been nothing short of a disappointment. From the moment I received the package, it became apparent that something was amiss.First and foremost, the massager does not rotate as advertised. I was eagerly looking forward to the kneading motion, which is essential for an effective massage. Sadly, this function simply does not work. The lack of rotation renders the entire massage experience ineffective and unsatisfying.On a slightly positive note, the vibration and heating features do work. However, without the rotating mechanism, these functions are rendered almost useless. It’s like having a car without wheels—it just doesn’t serve its purpose.To make matters worse, this malfunction occurred on the very first day of use. It is utterly frustrating to receive a product that doesn’t function properly straight out of the box. The lack of quality control and reliability is a major letdown.Adding insult to injury, I find myself in a predicament regarding returning the product. Living in a rural area far from a UPS dropoff location, returning this defective massager is an inconvenience I shouldn’t have to endure. I had hoped for a reliable product that would enhance my well-being as a mature aged individual like many others who are seeking relief from their hard worked muscles and achy joints, but instead, I’m stuck with a useless piece of equipment.Considering the numerous issues I’ve encountered with this personal heated massager, I strongly urge potential buyers to steer clear of this particular model. The non-functional rotating feature, combined with the disappointing overall performance, makes this a regrettable purchase. Todd company, good product
This is not cordless, but the cord is six feet long. I’m not in so much pain to require cordless. This pillow is bigger and heavier then the cordless types. I can see this pillow working great for a larger person. I’m average size for a gal and it beats paying for a message. It is not a quite device, but it’s not so loud that it’s annoying. I sweat easily so I took a pillow case and doubled it over on its self and pinned it. Works great that way. This product comes with two year warranty, which is better then most. I purchased after Christmas and got a great price. Some of these massage items can get pricey. It’s a very basic pillow with heat, massage and vibrator. When you use all three functions it does hum. Good deep tissue massage not for tender types. I use it in a recliner and I place it at the very top near my neck and use gravity to reposition lower where It’s needed. It’s not super warm and probably because I covered it in layers, but it’s good. I’ll try it for a while and see if I still feel the same about this product after a while. If you need it more for your neck I would go with the cordless. This one is more for shoulders and back and all over and that’s because the rollers do not come in closer on the cycle to address the narrower body part. Hope this review helps.

Works great to relieve neck stiffness
I had low expectations for this massage pillow but was pleasantly surprised! The balls inside are really hard and provide good pressure on sore spots in my neck. Add in the heat feature and it keeps my neck from tightening up between professional massages. The price is very reasonable too. I use it every day after working on a computer all day. The shape of the pillow allows it to sit exactly on my stiff, painful areas. I highly recommend for those with neck pain and stiffness.

Neck massager with heat
I love this. It not only heats the area on your neck or back area causing pain, but it truly breaks down the tension knots via the massage balls. I won’t lie sometimes it’s uncomfortable, the massage but it truly gets all the knots broken down. The he heats the process.

I use this every morning with my coffee. I flip it and move it up and down. It never hurts buts still feels strong enough to help my bad knots. I may try the cordless version of this in the future, though imagine it won’t be as strong.

This massage pillow does exactly what you want it to do.
I love this pillow. I carry it with me from room to room and from home to the office. The only negative I could say would be the weight of this pillow is a bit much for bringing it with me back and forth. This pillow should have a handle for easy carrying. I have been grabbing it by the tags so I don’t grab it by the chord to pick it up off the sofa or a chair.Overall: Relieves pain and feels great!

It works well .
I was dumb enough to work too hard for 50 years . The small of my back now requires ice , stretching , icy hot , stationary bike & this Homedics Massager . (& hot/cold shower) Every single morning . Only then can I become efficiently mobile . I run the trails daily . The Homedics massager is a must have . A straight forward design that’s very effective . I highly recommend this product .

Too rough
Should have been made with a thin padding over massage nodes, they are extremely rough. And the larger nodes do stick out way more than the smaller ones, therefore can’t feel smaller ones working much. Feel bruised from using.

It does work!
I have been suffering from constant back and neck pain for the last 15 years. Sometimes it’s mild, sometimes it’s terrible. Earlier this year I had a pretty painful episode and I didn’t fully recovered. I had some pain left in the upper back area. I have been using this device for 15 minutes everyday for the last two weeks and I can say that my pain has been reduced by 70-80%. It truly worked for me. I first tried laying down but that didn’t work, so I decided to use it sitting down in my sofa and tah-dah!… magic happened. The massage is rather intense and a bit painful for me (I’m very thin, not sure if that might make it more painful because it can “dig” deeper), but the immediate relief I after makes it worth it. I’m so happy I got this. I can’t believe in almost pain free!

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!! I bought this one and the full length one that goes onto a chair and rolls up and down the spine, and I have to say… I prefer this one more. Why? Because it can go ANYWHERE! I’m reading people complaining that this isn’t wide enough to hit this muscle or that… hello!… just move it! Of course, you need to avoid direct pressure on your vertebrae, and as long as you do that… the possibilities are endless! I have side-lied on this and dug out the connections in the underarm. I have sat on it and gotten the glute and hamstring attachments. You can do calves, feet, even the groin. Maneuvering to find just the right position and pressure can be a bit daunting at times… however, it is well worth the effort when you hit THE SPOT. I am a bit spoiled because I have a bed where I can adjust the incline and so a bit easier to find just the right position and pressure without so much work “holding” it. But I really can’t rave enough about this product. I have a lot of deep adhesions that require A LOT of pressure and time to dig out. When I first got this, I thought for sure I would break it within a week since I found I needed to apply all my body weight on it, and needed to use it for well longer than the 15 minute time limit. I could tell I was taxing the device as I bore all of my 180 pounds onto it. But to my surprise, it has withstood this type of repeated abuse for a year now. It is just getting to the point of break down as I can feel/hear something is loose inside and moving around when it shouldn’t be. And I will MOST DEFINITELY be buying a new one. Because even if I have to pay for one new one per year… the cost for one is cheaper than ONE, one-hour massage. And seriously, I have paid for massages that produced less results than this product. I like deep pressure and this product delivers…. better than some trained professionals. If you do not like deep pressure or are sensitive to it, than this may not be the product for you. If you have deep adhesions that have sat for a long time, it could be very painful initially. Do it as deeply and as long as you can tolerate, (make sure you can breathe throughout), and then take a break. Stay regular with it, and eventually you will find the freedom you have been longing for. Don’t use on bare skin, especially with the heat feature, as you can cause a skin-burn (like a rug burn), from rubbing the same area too long. (This may still happen even with a clothing barrier). But also don’t use your favorite shirt as it can stretch it all out in the spots where the balls are.If I could make any suggestions to the makers on how to improve this product it would be:1) Change the on/off button to a switch on the cord. It is very frustrating to be on a spot and then wiggle a bit and accidentally press the on/off button.2) Make the cord a wee bit longer.3). Make a car adapter for it, with a chair strap to hold it in place. :)Any shortcomings of this product, however, are outweighed by the immense healing ability it provides. I truly love it and again… highly recommend it!

Good but not great
I used to own a similar back massager of the same brand, that worked pretty well to relieve all over back pain. After years of use, it began losing power, and the internal pieces started coming loose.I ordered this one as a replacement. Unfortunately, there are some things that I just cannot adjust too. One being that the only thing covering the internal shiatsu moving parts, is a thin mesh like material that’s scratchy, and doesn’t provide any type of shield to protect the skin, or provide a barrier between the internal moving hard plastic parts. So it kind of hurts… but not in a good way. And tends to leave me in more pain than before using it.I was an Eastern and western deep tissue massage therapist for years… so I can handle, enjoy, and appreciate a deep massage. But this thing is overkill, due to it not having a barricade between the hard and scratchy parts and the body.My other issue is that the cord is too short. I have to plug it in very close to where I’ll be using it. My old one had a fairly long cord which was helpful, so I didn’t have to be right next to the outlet.Overall I’m glad that I have something when I really it. But, this isn’t what I had hoped for, or expected. I prefer the old model over this one.

Great massager but there are a couple of caveats for me.
My friend who is a Nurse Practitioner insisted that I ditch my old Shiatsu that is shaped to go around the neck and buy this specific brand. I can never argue with her because she knows everything. The vibration and Shiatsu are strong and the heat is a good temperature. It is soft and squishy and comfortable once you get it placed where it works for you.Because I use it for my neck, if I am sitting, I have to make sure to wedge it between my body and the chair or sofa back in the exact position where the Shiatsu hits the neck and upper back. The kneading can hurt other areas of your back that it’s not designed for, especially if it lands on your spine. If you have to lean forward to grab a remote or adjust your position or get up to refill your Riesling, it will slip. So, for the neck/upper back, it’s best used when you’re lying down.If you are using it for this reason, it may take 2/3 times to make sure it’s placed properly (and use it with the product name is readable upright…and away from you). Once in that position behind you, it’s hard to detect where the controls are and which button is which by touch. You could turn it on before putting it in place or you could draw a diagram to hang on your living room wall.To sum it up, it works for my neck pain.

Not relaxing.
The 3D shiatsu feature provides a Z-axis movement as advertised. But because it goes through the motion so quickly, it feels like being constantly shoved rather than a massage. It is not a relaxing experience.Update: This is nice on calf muscles.Vibration is fine.Heat is gentle. I found myself enjoying this feature more than I thought I would.

Definitely worth the money
This literally just arrived about 30 minutes ago and I am already so glad I decided to order it. I chose this over others because of the vibration function (which I haven’t tried yet) and also because it was clear in the description that heat is optional, which is very important for me; I overheat very easily and its getting into the hot months so anything with mandatory heat would be miserable.I have a lot of shoulder, neck, and upper back pain from a combination of working a desk job where I’m in front of a computer for 8 hours a day tied to my desk except for scheduled breaks, and having a large chest. I have a back buddy for trigger point release and its really great, but it can’t fix all of the deep aches that are more generalized. I needed something more akin to massage.And this is it. This is getting deep into the muscles I need it to most. It’s strong enough for me to feel it and for it to be working but not so strong that it’s painful. It just finished the first 15 minutes and my shoulders and upper back already feel a little better.(I’m going to let my mother try this, too, and see what she thinks. While i hope she likes it, I also hope she doesn’t try to steal it from me…)

Good massage pillow
The optional vibration is a great addition to the massage. The optional heat is mild, but enough to be helpful. I do wish the massage nodes had the ability to switch/reverse the direction of the movement, as some other Shiatsu pillows do. I find the “3D” shape of this one good for upper back/shoulder, but not as good as a flat shape for lower back.

Solid massager if you can get it in the right position.

I had an earlier version of this massager that lasted for years before it eventually stopped working. This one looks just like it so I purchased as a replacement. What I didn’t realize is that rather than having two large heads/balls as massager this one has a uneven 8 shape with a larger ball/head attached to a smaller ball/head. They move in unison, in a figure out type of motion (see video) but sometimes it can be more difficult to find a comfortable placement with the smaller ball/head attached. I still like this massager and it works well for shoulder, trapezoid, and back tension. The heat feature actually generates enough heat that you can feel it and the vibration is pretty strong. There are three massage modes that you cycle through by pushing the on/off button: shiatsu, vibration, vibration plus shiatsu. The heat mode has a second button. I would recommend.

It’s…ok
This isn’t the worst purchase I’ve ever made, but also not the best. It feels good at first, the motion, vibration, and heat all work well, but the shape leaves something to be desired. The bottom of the pillow is tapered, and the top of the pillow itself is much deeper, and even more so with the kneading mechanism. If you place the tapered part of the pillow at the back of the neck (which is what it looks like it’s shaped for), the kneading mechanism is basically on the back of your head and not at all comfortable or effective. If you place it lower down, so the kneading mechanism is at the back of your neck, then it’s so tapered that it gradually slides up when you’re leaning back on it, returning to the back of your head. I’m a 5’9″ woman, so I think my neck is probably pretty average sized, not like super short or super long. The design is just confusing, and it gets annoying enough that even when I think about using it, I think about all the work of constantly repositioning it and I just skip it. The mesh material is also not great feeling against the skin. At first you won’t notice, but after a few minutes with the material being kneaded into your skin, it will become quite uncomfortable. This is at least an easier fix than the positioning, by just making sure whatever shirt I’m wearing is pulled up high to cover it.

Was sent a used item!
When product was unpackaged, it was not the wrappings of a brand new item. Instead, the cord was wrapped around the product indicating it had already been used by someone else. I would have appreciated knowing that before I bought it!

Not bad at all
Works decent as long as you have it in the right position . You just need to keep adjusting the position . I start at the top of my back and then scoot it down my back every 30sec – 1 min . I even massage my hamstrings .

Excellent massage pillow
I love this pillow. I use it very often and have for months. My first one died immediately, I had it replaced by Amazon with no issue and have had no problems since. The balls inside are hard plastic, which works out knots wonderfully. The heating option is fantastic to really relax tense muscles. I also use this pillow for my legs after a hard day at work. 10/10 recommend

Life changing
I don’t normally write reviews, but had to for this one. This is by far the best massager I’ve ever used. It goes at the prefect pace, the massage balls are just the right size, and there are different settings to choose from. This product has made a major change in how my back feels everyday. I let my family and friends use it, and they love it just as much as I do. It’s also very easy to use and even has a 15 minute timer so you don’t overdo it. And I’ve never had any issues with mine not working. High quality and 100% worth buying! 🙂

Massage is comfortable, I like the vibration choice as well. Haven’t needed the heat cycle. Glad it shuts off automatically for safety.
