Excellent THE BEST tasting but buy in store if you can
My dad, who is in hospice and has trouble eating and swallowing, received a box of these purchased from Trader Joe’s from a visiting friend. They are absolutely delicious. Everyone who tried them, loved them. They are so thin, not so sweet, kind of like a less sweet melt in your mouth graham cracker who went to Harvard. So I ordered them online when he ran out. Every box I received (6 in total) arrived mostly in crumbs. It may be that due to how thin these are, they cannot avoid breakage. Still they can be eaten in pieces and are delicious, but if you want the actual thins, try to find them in a store.

Great cookie but poor shipping container… we got crumbs not cookies
We had these at an in-laws and liked them enough to order off of Amazon. Unfortunately, the method of packing and shipping sadly left us with more crumbs than cookies. Would not recommend purchasing from this vendor as you CANNOT RETURN them if they are damaged.

This is a rip off!!!
I purchased these cookies about a month ago and didn’t mind paying the $15.95 for the 2 packs at all. The cookies arrived all broken, there wasn’t a single whole cookie in any one of the packs. I was disappointed but still enjoyed the cookies because they are so delicious. What got me pissed off was after I found out how much a pack is at Trader Joe’s, $2.76, I bought 4 packs which cost me $11.04. 2 packs would have only cost me $5.52, compare that to the $15.95 it’s been sold for on Amazon. I will never buy these cookies on Amazon, I’ll rather get them at Trader Joe’s. Beware potential buyers of these cookies, you’ll be paying more than 5 times the amount it will cost you at any Trader Joe’s.

Flavorful but arrived crushed.
Although the product tasted very good and the boxes arrived in pristine condition, all cookies but 2 were crushed into small pieces and therefore suitable only as a crumb topping and not as actual cookies.

They showed up smashed to smithereens
I don’t recommend buying these unless you can buy them from the Trader Joe’s store. The cookies just don’t travel well and there seems to be no attempt to pad them or even to put them in a box that would lend some protection. Instead they come in a flimsy envelope all smashed. They still taste good but you certainly can’t serve them to anyone in this condition.

butter almond thins
got two boxes together with the drapes. boxes was damaged and open one and contents was severely broken into small pieces. The biscuits should have been placed in a box to avoid being squeezed by the curtains which are heavier. In addition, the 2nd box was totally damaged, contents was crumbled like cereals. Never heard from the seller.

I read the reviews about the cookies being broken … however I thought the problem would have been fixed … sorry, the problem was NOT fixed … there was not one cookie in either pack that was not broken … the packs were wrapped in shrink wrap and bubble wrap but the wrapping was so tight both packs were crunched … very disappointing … other thin cookies in the same order delivered in same delivery box, from the same supplier were in perfect shape … :{

About 90% of both packages I bought were broken. Not sure how they could be packaged any different. I was not able to serve them to anyone unless I used the broken pieces over ice cream or something like that. I would order them again – they are that good.

I love these Belgian Butter Almond thins BUT like everyone else, they arrived broken up. Some were just fine but I would say half of them were broken. I knew they would be because they are so fragile but the small broken pieces tasted great anyway. Big downside is the price. I would never buy them online again since my sister, who lives near a Trader Joes, just told me she pays under $3.00 for one box! Thus the reason for four stars.

Broken cookie crumbs.
Most pieces smaller then corn flakes. Taste great, but even with boxes being wrapped in bubble wrap and placed inside their own box, with no apparent damage, the cookies were almost all crushed.Furthermore, the packaging does not provide any separation of cookies. Compared to Jules Destrooper cookies, the taste was okay, but not as good. Jules Destrooper cookies come in boxes with 4 individual sections and, while the packaging (12 boxes) seems less substantial than the Trader Joe’s cookies, the Jules Destrooper cookies are mostly whole (less than 10% cracked and none crushed).

Crumbs, not cookies ………
I’ve ordered a half dozen boxes of these cookies in the last few months. Every single box is filled with broken cookies. When I say broken, I mean not one cookie is whole, nor can be used in a presentation. Each chard is smaller than an American dime. It’s as though the boxes had been shaken by a paint can mixing machine. Every box. I’m not convinced this damage occurred in shipping, either. It would seem they were damaged prior to packing. I won’t order any more because I can’t serve them to anyone. Shame, too. They’re delicious.

I love these cookies & the nearest Trader Joe’s is a 5 hour round trip away. I see lots of reviews here disappointed by the cookies being broken to chips. I’ve been getting these cookies from TJ’s stores for many years & it’s rare to get a box from the store that has all the cookies intact. As thin as they are & filled with nuts, to me it’s not unexpected for the cookies to be broken. I won’t give less than 5 stars just because cookies are broken. No vendor packaging could prevent breakage for these delicate wafers. In my shipment, about half of the cookies were broken. I don’t care. These things are so delicious that even as crumbles they are wonderful. These suckers are worth 5 stars even if I have to pour chips into my mouth from the foil bag!!

The package was in good shape but not one of the cookies were whole. Nothing but broken pieces. Really good flavor if you like eating tiny broken cookies. We have had other cookie type orders arrive in good shape so not sure what happened in transit with these.In the future it might be best to go directly to Trader Joe’s if you are lucky enough to have one.And this item is not returnable.

Very good but not perfect
I LOVE these cookies! I don’t want to discourage others from buying them, just report that they aren’t perfect. One box tasted almost rancid even though the expiration date was next year. I sent them to work with my husband. The other box was perfect in taste but less than 50% of the cookies were intact. Broken cookies still taste good but the delight in biting into one of those thin wafers is lost when they are in tiny pieces. I will order again and hope for better luck next time.
