Well done, Amazon Basics
With a toolset like this you are not paying for high quality tools, you are paying for decent tools and a collection of the most common ones you will need around the house or in your car or boat. In other words, you are paying for convenience and having all your most commonly used tools in one organized place rather than scattered over multiple tool bags. You know who you are.I saw complaints about the case not holding tools well. I have not had this long enough for it to be a problem but have two suggestions. 1. always open the case with the “Amazon Basics” logo on the TOP. That way the sockets are on the bottom and won’t fall out. The items on the top half may but they are easier to put back then a bunch of loose sockets. 2. keep and reuse the thick foam pad that ships with the product and closes between the two halves of the case. This should keep things tight while you’re carrying around the closed case.Time will tell but I consider this a good buy for typical household small projects.

A must have for every vehicle
I bought this for a friend when I discovered she had no tools in her car. Between the socket set and the screw driver it will allow her to do small maintenance jobs on the car. The other tools, like the hammer and saw, will occasionally come in handy around the house. I chose this kit because it had all the tools I thought she would need as opposed to other kits which lacked one or two items that I thought essential.

Very good starter tool kit, has all the basics.
This toolkit has some quality tools in it. The level, tape measure, and screwdriver are the only 3 I’ve used extensively so far. I am a little scared to use the hammer because there is a bit of glue visible between the handle and the head, not sure if it wasn’t cleaned up or if the head wasn’t slid on the whole way.I rated it 4 stars because some of the ratchet sockets fall out of the case depending on which side you flip up. Very inconvenient and I open it the wrong way 50% of the time.

Not the best quality ever but they’re cheap. For the money it’s nice to have an extra tool kit available. Having tools is better than not having tools.

Versatile set of modest quality tools.
We got this set to be a “spare set” of tools to keep at a remote site for light duty “around the house” the work. The set is reasonablely comprehensive and has both English and metric sizes for sockets, wrenches, and Allan keys. The problem is that the tools are pretty low grade. The screw driver tips, for example, are pretty bad. Driving screws into wood leads to slipping and the screw head chewing up the driver tip. Haven’t gotten to use everything in the set, but I’m not expecting these to last with any real use.For the price, it’s ok as a cheap set to keep around, but I wouldn’t call it good.

Great Housewarming Gift!
I can’t say enough good things. It has all the basics you would expect and some really nice surprises like clamps and magnetic screwdrivers. Great for your Johnny homeowner or just a quick inside toolbox so you’re not constantly running to the garage.

Great set, bad tools.
I’m not exactly sure what I was expecting from a cheap Amazon tool set, but I was hoping for more from a billion dollar company. The saw for one is not much better that tinker tots saw with a jerry rigged blade. The hammer looks the most effective of the bunch, screwdriver sets are great, claps have strong springs on a cheap body. My razor in particular was already rusted out of the box, was honestly hoping for bigger of everything else, the wrenches are 4 of each system but essentially the same size. The wire cutters were cheap but very capable from what I can tell. Levels a level, and the needle nose was what to expect from them, the small box of nails and screws for what I imagine was framing pictures was nifty but not essential. Last but not least the sockets. This is the only thing I imagine made this box what it’s worth, due to the number of them and their small sizes, however, I don’t think even the biggest ones could take the lug nuts off my Honda Civic. I might be wrong on that but it would be close. I think Amazon could put more Money in a bigger box with longer and stronger tools, and still sell it for the same price and make a profit. The mass production capabilities although proven impressive for size and economy, the durability of mass production methods makes such economics an investment to catastrophe.

It’s a nice little tool kit!
It’s a nice little tool kit! Especially for beginners. It’s got both household & mechanics tools in one case. The case is a little flimsy, but other than that, it’s alright. I would recommend it for someone looking for their first tool set.

Marginal quality
We bought this set to keep in our camper. When we tried to use the socket wrenches, we found that the socket wrench did not actually stay in the actual corresponding bolt. Unlike more expensive sets, the two stay together, so that when you’re unscrewing some thing it provides friction. This does not work as needed, so we need to change for another type set. Hope this helps.

A great variety of light duty tools for home use
I love the variety of tools that come in this kit. They are not heavy duty, but perfect for light duty around the house and outdoors. The only issue that could be improved, the tools do not fit securely in the molded plastic case so when you open or close the case, some of the tools fall out. Just a bit aggravating but overall a nice kit to have around the house.

Great Grad Gift
Our son recently went off to college out of state. Its sort of a tradition in both mine and my wife’s family to gift some sort of a tool set when a son or daughter goes off into the world, and I was looking for “just the right” kit. I wanted a kit with a tape measure, level, hammer, pliers, and common wrenches and sockets. This kit had it all! Most kits run up the piece count with stupid things you seldom use, but this kit doesn’t do that (not sure what I’d ever use those two small clamps for, but other kits add even more junk.) This kit was easily the best one I found on the market, even at twice the price. This should last our son many years. He’s already used it a number of times at the dorm (and once folks found it he had a tool kit, they came knocking).

Would not recommend, but will not return.
It’s good enough for it’s purpose (small repairs, a variety of tools for different tasks, etc.) I’d say it’s good enough for the price, but overall not high quality. Screwdrivers are hard to twist & hurt my hands – bad grip & feel cheap, tape measure is already bent & doesn’t have a great length, and overall the set feels very mid to low grade. I’d recommend picking it up if you don’t plan to use it much, otherwise go for a higher quality set.

Overall pretty happy
Some tools feel cheaper than others. I wasn’t expecting much at less than $0.50 per tool. Everything stays where it should for the most part except for a few sockets. The most annoying thing is that they gave me a wrong size socket. Instead of a 1/2 I got a 15/32

It’s an ok starter set.
Look, my brother took my decent tool kit. Since he denied it, I had to start over and I was short on time and funds. This isn’t a great kit, but it’s ok— see what you use often- then go out and buy a decent version of that. And for G-d sakes, step one should be a good pair of safety glasses. Even if you are just putting together your ikea furniture, if the thought crosses through your head, “do I need safety glasses, then you do.

The tools are good. The plastic case is ok.
I have used many of the tools in this package, multiple times since purchasing. I am happy with the tools. The plastic case is ok, it could be better, it works but it does not feel very sturdy nor does it hold all the tools as securely as I would like. However, I did not buy the product for the case so I give it five stars and do recommend it to others on the caveat that this item may want you to purchase a good tool box or bag.

Lots of tools, don’t expect them to stay where they belong.
The variety of tools is great the case that holds the tools not so much as after opening it once the tape measure and the pliers would not stay where they were supposed to be.I would have to very quickly shut the case while holding them in place and then moving my hands out of the way to keep them from falling down and keeping the case from closing. You get what you pay for with this.

Tools don’t always stay put
As some others have mentioned, the tools do not always stay in the places intended. The pliers did not go into the holder after the very first use. This is a bit of a pain but does not detract from the usefulness of the kit. I bought this for my daughter who was moving away from home. We used the tools a lot when setting up her new digs. I would still buy this again as it has a great variety of tools and they seem to be well made for the price paid.

You get what you pay for
Needed a quick simple kit of tools to be shipped to a location so I didn’t have to pack it in the suitcase. That part worked out great and it was very handy to have when I got there. But you kind of get what you pay for. The Phillips screwdriver tip wore out in two days of use. The hacksaw blade failed immediately into a dull mess. Overall it worked out well but they are cheap tools for a quick cheap job

Great for a dorm room
This is a good solid tool kit. I have bought these in the past for my kids starting college. Parents: Ignore the eye rolls and insist your children take one of these to college or their first apartment. Both my sons said it was the most used thing they had. They also said they were the only student on their floor that had tools. It made them very popular.

Could Be Better – But A Good Value
This might be the cheapest tool set, but it’s not the worst by any means. It is missing a few things you’ll wish had, like a legit monkey wrench. It has some things you might never use. It also has some items that are uncommon for kits like this that end up being very useful, like the mini level. That thing is perfect for leveling a new washer and dryer. The quality of the tools is mostly mediocre. They work, but are bad enough that you don’t want to use them. None have broken yet, but that could happen. For the money this isn’t a bad option, but there are better quality options for more money, that could be a better value over the long run.

Really cheaply made
The quality is super cheap, something you would expect from a dollar store or something. Don’t expect to do any heavy work with any of the tools, they’re flimsy and certainly not of any quality. Probably fine for light tasks, but I guarantee the tools won’t last long or work very well.

Go to harbor freight if you are looking for cheap tools
Why would you include a quick release socket wrench, but not the matching sockets? The sockets aren’t grooved for the ball bearing in the wrench to latch in place so the sockets just fall off. The case is not fitted for the tools well, some are overly tight to push into place and some just fall out. Quality is less than harbor freight quality.

Great Tools – Bad Case
Really like the quality and the convenience of the tools, especially for the price point. The downside is that I do not like using them as I know it is a pain to get the case to close up again. Give the case a slight bump and you are putting all your sockets back in their slot.
