Nice set, but I’m giving it to my Girlfriend’s son
This is not a toy set, that is not why I am giving it to a kid. These tools will do fine for common tasks around the home or office. Hanging a picture, putting Ikea stuff together, changing a vent cover…yadda yadda. The levers on the slip joint pliers didn’t line up evenly. Not a big deal, but it just bugs me a little. The hammer and allen wrenches seem well constructed. Tape measure is ok, but I fele like it wouldn’t survive a lot of use. I also purchased a 3 piece pliers set from Stanley, and the Stanley pliers are slightly better quality and feel more solid in the hand. I’m sure this Amazon set will last my girlfriend, and her son for years. However at just about $10 more, I’m going to go with the Stanley tool set. Again, the Amazon set if fine, and well priced, for what it is intended for. As the description states, it’s good for the office, dorms, or a kitchen drawer. My reason for going with Stanley is I like to tell myself I need something a little more “manly”.

Decent for basic home repair/maintenance
Everything is of decent to good quality, but as other reviewers have said, don’t try to push these tools too much beyond basic home repair, most of them aren’t built for it.A couple of the Allen wrenches already had rust on them, the wire cutter isn’t machines very well and you can see light through it when it’s open, and the tape measure is pretty cheap/the tape won’t hold its own weight up. Odd that it includes drill bits, considering it doesn’t come with a drill, but I’m not complaining about that. The size of the bag is nice, and there’s plenty of room to add other items on your own, like say, a drill to go with the drill bits.Overall, I’m satisfied with it for what I bought it for: basic home repair and maintenance so I don’t have to dig out my heavy duty tools every time I need to do something basic around the house.

Great Toolkit for apartments
Honestly, I didn’t have many expectations when it came to this toolkit, however, it has more than paid for itself. It has just enough commonly used tools included to solve all those little problems that pop up in your first solo-apartment. I bought mine when I moved into my first studio, kept it by my desk in the carrying bag, which is nice and compact, and it was always easily accessible and easy to use. Highly recommend for those of you that are also getting your first place, you don’t realize how often you really need some of these tools until you don’t have them.

The perfect starter tool set for adults
This set (unlike most tool sets) contains high quality tools that will last for a long time. It has basically everything you will need for basic household repairs and the tape measure/level/hammer and bag are especially high quality for what you normally get in something like this. Just pair this with a good socket set and power drill and you’ve got everything you’ll need for most household and small vehicle tasks. This is the only tool set I would recommend to somebody when they get their first apartment etc.

Toolkit with about all the tools one needs for projects around the house
I already have a lot of tools and a massive tool chest in the basement. So why did I buy this? Well, it was on sale. And what guy/gal can’t use another toolkit around the house. Quite simply I am surprised with all the tools that came in this incredibly sturdy tool bag. It is easy to carry around. So far it has met every need I have had for various projects around the house. I’m not a big fan of the handle on the screwdriver but it functions.Somethings I’ve used these tools on. Putting locks on doors. Cutting cardboard down for recycling. Cutting cardboard for craft projects. Allen keys for tightening bathroom hardware. Measuring tape for measuring. Wrench for straightening a piece of bent metal.Really, you can’t go wrong buying this tool kit and saving some money.

Amazing quality at even better price
I bought this kit at $21. Its amazing how good of a quality it is for the price. I had bought a $15 set before this one and immediately returned it because it was so clearly cheap, pastic and cheap everything pretty much. Of course i didn’t expect much from a $15 tool set but this one blew me away, for $5 more it was seriously 10x the quality. Every piece feels sturdy and most is made from metal even the level is aluminum not plastic. The tape measurer was very nice and most cheap kits come with a really crappy one. Even the bag was very nice. I dont have a single complaint with the kit, if you want a nice, well rounded very inexpensive but enough quality kit, get this one. At the time of this review the price is now $33 but i honestly would pay $60+ for it. GET IT

Okay basic tool kit
This is an okay basic home tool kit. In here you will find about every tool you will need for tasks around the house and whatnot. My main complaint is that the case does not allow you to organize the tools very well. I would have given this five stars but for the fact that the case really does not do much more than act as a big bag in which the tools can be thrown haphazardly. On the plus side, there are some useful tools here. There is a very nice screwdriver set, useful Allen wrenches, and a nice socket wrench set. I just wish that they put a little more thought into the carry bag. RJB.

Great little tool kit.I just moved and had all my tools in storage. I didnt want to break the bank as I needed tools to install things around the new house(blinds, tv mounts, art work etc….and this was a great piece to have. This will become my car kit that can stay in the car for any issues once I get my household goods. Well worth the money.

We recently purchased a second home for a vacation rental and I needed a decent set to keep there for when a need arose. It’s a couple hours away and didn’t want to take my home set back and forth. Was happily surprised at the quality of the tools for the price. And the tote was just right and seems quite durable. Plenty of room for more stuff, so I tossed in the old duct tape, WD-40 and a few other items. All set now and ready to go. A great deal for the price – don’t hesitate…

The sturdy canvas carry bag holds a treasure of home repair tools.
If I add my cordless drill and cordless screwdriver, I’m all set for the majority of jobs around the house. These are quality tool, and I’m certain the cost of buying them one-by-one at the hardware or home improvement store would be double if not triple. And there is room in the bag for a few more if there is some favorite that isn’t included, though short of power tools, I don’t know what that will be.

Everything I could need and more
I bought this as I moved into a new apartment. While I have miscellaneous tools from various cheap kits, I wanted something to consolidate all of my tools and this kit certainly impressed! I don’t have to worry anymore if I have the tool for the job because this has seemingly everything I’d ever need for day-to-day housework. Everything also seems to be decently higher quality compared to cheaper kits, which makes this a great value in my opinion.

Good tool bag
I got this tool bag to have some tools up at the office for minor repairs if needed. It serves its purpose. Don’t get this thinking this will be your primary tools at home. While the product is nice, you can’t beat the craftsmanship of other major tool brands. However, this makes for a great cheap bag of tools for little things when you don’t have your other tools available.

Has all basic tools at decent quality
Pros: Most of what you’d need for furniture assembly without a motor is inside. The bag itself is quite sturdy and the pieces are organized neatly. Better option than most other kits at this price point.Cons: Probably not the best quality. Now that I’ve assembled everything for moving in, I see that the commonly used screwdriver heads (no replacements in kit) are looking worse for the wear.

Great for first college apartment!
Decent quality tools, and good selection of useful items. The hammer is a good weight and not flimsy like in other kits. The bag is very nice and has extra room. Put together dresser, desk, nightstand and other apt items no problem. Cons: needs a multi blade small hand saw had to buy one separately. Also doesn’t come with basic screws/nails for hanging pictures or any electrical or duct tape. Adjustable wrench would also be a plus. All in all a decent set for the price. Just know what you need when comparing – no one needs a 100 piece set where they count items you will never use.

Nice basic kit at a basic price
Everyone needsA little tool kit, agreed?Even those like meI am totally non-mechanical, a non-DIYer, but I’m always needing a screwdriver for something. Or a hammer. Or a wrench. Mostly to rig something that broke just until I can get someone out to fix it. This kit is perfect for that. It doesn’t have anything fancy that I would never use (well, maybe the level) and has a non-fancy price tag to go along with it.The tools are heavy and seem well-made. There are a ton of different heads for the screwdriver and sockets for the wrench (I think that’s the correct terminology — ugh, sorry, I told you). Plus, they all come in a nice sturdy bag, so I always know where they are, as opposed to now where one old screwdriver is in some drawer somewhere, the hammer is who knows where, etc.

What do you do with the drill bits Amazon?
The price is good and you get everything you may need for Home repair. I got this set to give to my sister because she moved into a new house and she has zero tools. I got a few other things to put in the bag that I thought she might need, but I’m still confused as to why Amazon put drill bits in that you can’t use with any of the other tools in the set. I would have even excepted them bundling a drill or something in the Frequently Bought Together area that could use them but no not even that. It’s just odd to through those in just to get the tool count to 115.

Budget friendly for general handyman work
I just graduated and I needed a budget friendly toolkit that could handle minor repairs and general handyman tasks. This was exactly what I needed and I have used it several times since purchasing it. The tools are of decent quality and can handle most tasks. There is a ton of empty space in the bag which leaves room to add a power drill or other supplementary items. I managed to utilize the interior pockets in such a way that the tools are neatly organized and I decided to wrap the safety glasses in a neckerchief to reduce the amount of scratches it receives from jostling around. This usually camps in my car trunk and it doesn’t take up much space. Overall, for the price, this is a fantastic purchase.

Not a bad little kit for someone whose just looking for the basics. It would be nice to get a few more sockets in the kit, being that the largest size is a 3/8th. However, like I said it’s not a bad little kit. The quality of the tools is something you’d come to expect from Amazon, Which is pretty darn good! If you’re looking for a kit that you’d be able to rebuild an engine with, then you might want to look at something else; but if you’re looking for a kit to keep around the house and use for the little odd jobs that pop up, then this should work just fine for you!

A Mixed Bag, No Pun Intended
For the casual home DIY-er, this is decent – that being said, in hindsight I wish I had purchased slightly higher quality tools from the get-go. I am slowly replacing most tools in the bag.The bag itself is alright – sturdy enough, through organization is limited. I could never get the wrench “organizer” to stay closed. The little hand saw is OK for casual cutting, but after a couple of PVC pipe cuts it quickly lost its effectiveness. That being said, the hammer is plenty for hanging pictures, the level is functional if not short (and the built in magnet is handy), and the pliers work well enough.I would call this “renter grade” – but if you are a homeowner, I would recommend going to your local store and buying a tool box or bag and picking up a few higher quality tools for a bit more money.

Decent entry level tool set
The 115 item set is decent for around the house projects. The tape measure came damaged. I simply got a higher quality one over dealing with a return. Add a Ratchet set and duct tape and you have a decent starter kit. I added some wire strippers and a few other odds and ends. I did go aheead and put a light coat of oil on the tools to prevent rust just in case

Good basic starter set
This seems like a good set for someone who uses tools once and awhile for basic things. All the tools seem to be of good quality, and the bag is great. The bag has pockets in the inside too which is nice to keep things separated, and plenty of space to throw in some more tools, or add on. For the price it’s worth it I’d say for more casual use. I haven’t used them yet, but the hammer feels a lot like my higher priced Pittsburgh hammer from Harbor Freight, and the tools feel somewhat better than similar sets by Apollo, if that helps with determining the quality.

Excellent as a starter tool kit!
Okay, I’ll be honest. I’m a 34 year old bachelor and I’ve never owned a toolset, let alone anything above a screwdriver and hammer. I picked this up so I’d have something at the house for small repairs and such, and it’s worked wonders for me! I would recommend it as a gift for a new homeowner or a teenager/young adult that’s starting to venture out on their own, or for others like me who are starting to really make the transition into grown-up life.

Has everything you need for the odd times that you may need them. Got the 115 pc bag is very large and can fit extra stuff in if needed. Kind of weird it comes with 2 boxes of drill pieces but no drill. Just seems a little odd to get something you can’t use ithout another purchase in a kit but overall good for the price

EVERYTHING USED AND WEIRD SMELL
(Note: I recieved everything today. I have not used anything from this delivery yet. Pictures are from straight out the packaging)I did not order a refirbrished set of tools. I was excited to receive a new set of fresh starter tools for projects in my new apartment and I get dirty tools with dents, dull blades, and a weird smelling oil (not even typical greaser smell). I’m very disappointed this is coming straight from Amazon Basics and would’ve at least expected receiving clean new tools if there is nothing in the title stating its used or refirbrished.I understand it’s not like they are broken and I get that I could sharpen the blades myself and still use tools that have minor dents and marks, but WHY do I need to worry about that? I would expect to pay less than FULL PRICE for this lower level of quality. At this point I would not recommend ordering tools from Amazon Basics if their standard is to sell used tools and call them new. I cannot say anything about durability as these just came in today and these can be very useful around the house don’t get me wrong… But I can’t help but feel cheated to be given odd smelling tools that appear to be played with prior to shipment to a paying customer.

Lifesaver
As a first time homeowner, I can’t say how many times I’ve said to myself I’m glad I bought this. Sure, it’s all loose in a bag, but it has everything I’ve needed, even things I THOUGHT I’d never use, but lo-and-behold, I’ve needed when doing some work around the new place. If you’re a first time owner or someone with home tools, this tool set is absolutely mandatory.
