Finally!
I can’t tell you how many times I have switched my 8 week old son’s formula. We have tried Enfamil Newborn, AR, and Gentlease, we have tried Baby’s Only Soy, Dairy and Similac Alimentum. Every single one caused my baby some kind of problem, from spitting up to constipation, gas, and pain while eating. At 5 weeks he was diagnosed with silent reflux and put on rantidine three times a day. I did not want to give him prescription drugs at 5 weeks old, but I thought I would try it. He was in so much pain, it was awful to watch. It was also affecting his sleep because he could not lie flat without having pain.To make a long story short, the rantidine did nothing to help his reflux. After two weeks I decided to call it quits. My pediatrician gave me samples of Alimentum because we suspected a milk protein allergy. The Allimentum did no good and gave him diarrhea. I switched back to Gentlease, even though it produced horrible green swamp poops and did not really help anything either. I almost gave up looking for a good formula, assuming that they were all horrible. We tried everything I could find. First we bought a probiotic and started that once a day. It seemed to help aid digestion but did nothing to ease his pain. Then we switched from Avent to Dr. Brown’s bottles, which cut down on the gas and helped a little bit more. Finally, I decided to give this formula a try. I was in the middle of a feeding of Gentlease, and he was crying in pain. Just for kicks I popped open a can of the Baby’s Only Lactorelief and BAM! No pain! He literally stopped crying right in the middle of the feed, gulped down 4 ounces, and crashed.I did not realize until visiting the NaturesOne website that they do compare this formula to Enfamil Gentlease and Similac Sensitive. It’s the only sensitive organic formula on the market. The ingredients are similar to that of the other brands but it does not contain corn or hexane-derived DHA/ARA. It smells and tastes a ton better.I don’t think my son is lactose intolerant. Or maybe he is. There are also theories out there that some babies are sensitive to corn or DHA. Whatever the problem, I don’t care. After two days of eating this formula, the only time we are experiencing any discomfort is when he has to burp. Even that seems very minimal and the burps are easier to coax out. I always wondered how long I should wait to see results from a new formula. A day? A week? A month? In this case, I have seen improvement from the very first feed. I won’t say it’s perfect yet, but he may have inflammation from the previous formula. I will update.I know how frustrating it can be to figure out what the problem is if your baby is having reflux issues. It’s trial by fire until you nail something down. If you are feeding Enfamil Gentlease or Similac Sensitive and would prefer an organic alternative, this is for you. Please do not let these people who insist that the arsenic will hurt your baby scare you. Do some research on hexane and DHA and decide which is worse, potential small amounts of arsenic (which is naturally occurring from volcanic activities in the areas of the world where rice is grown) or the hexane derivation process. This is the ONLY formula on the market which does not contain DHA/ARA.Yes, it’s expensive. But so are Alimentum and Nutramigen, and if your baby needs it, it’s worth its weight in gold. I’m so glad it’s working for us, and I could not be happier with it.Update 9-14-12Still working great! After two weeks, it’s almost like my son never had reflux at all! We still get the occasional feed where he has an episode, but I think that might be stomach related and since he can’t tell me, I’ll never know. It seems to help to burp thoroughly when he gets that way.Update 10-3-12Over a month later we are still loving this formula. I had an extra can of the Dairy formula lying around and wanted to use it up. It instantly gave my son horrible gas and an upset stomach. I think he really does have a lactose sensitivity. I’m so glad Nature’s One makes this organic lactose-free formula. My son is growing and thriving on it, with no reflux issues to speak of.Update 1-23-13We were able to transition to the slightly cheaper Baby’s Only Soy formula at 6 months without a hitch. Tried the dairy formula again to no avail. I really think it’s the lactose. But the soy is working great and we are saving money while still using the same great company.Update 1-7-15My son is no longer a baby, but I thought I would do a finalUpdate because there has been interest. My son tested positive for a milk allergy after we introduced solids at 8 months. It was barely detected. We did a combination of almond milk and hemp milk at a year, and he continued to do fine with cheese and yogurt. Now he is 2.5, and while he dislikes cows milk he is free of any dietary restrictions. Despite the milk allergy, he tolerated this formula just fine until he bottle weaned at a year. We did end up switching back to this after trying the soy, simply because I did not care for the smell and texture of the soy, and was a little worried about the whole soy proteins mimicking estrogen thing. But all turned out well and he’s a perfectly healthy 2-year-old.

Awesome product but small
Was a little disappointed in the size of the cans in the case. Yes, I did read the fine print but you never see cans this small on the shelf. Slightly misleading but overall great , nutritional product for the little one.

This a life saver. THANKS
My baby had an intolerance to every formula she tried and believe me there were many, each and every one of them gave her diarrhea, blood in her stools. My baby was unhappy until we went to see a gastroenterologist and he told us to try this formula and I can tell you from an unhappy 50-day-old baby, with a severe diaper rash to a 48-hour later a happy baby who even smiles because her stomach feels relief , I know it says toddler but investigate why (the company wants to promote breastfeeding as the main and most important thing for babies). It is difficult to dissolve in water but I prepare several shots in a nutribullet and make my life easier. I know that all babies are a world apart but I cannot thank this company more for creating this formula that brought happiness back to my baby and me.

Better product all the way around
Cheaper than big brands without all the horrible stuff that mommy found out to be in major brands and my sweet baby girl never has gas and rarely spits up anymore and when she does it’s because her granny didn’t bother to burp her while also feeding her 2 ozs more than needed because ” she falls asleep easier that way” right Nana, sure. Just well enough to bring her to me bloated and miserable to wake up from hurting as she lays there. That woman, errrg. Other than that type of ignorance in human behavior , I can say this is our family brand of choice with my last two babies and I recommend to others all the time still

I’ve tried all the rest (8 different ones) and then I found the best!!
I started out with the intention of breastfeeding my baby but after a week I had to start supplementing with formula because my supply was too low (cue the overzealous lot who think I just didn’t try hard enough…I get it but you don’t know my circumstances so you don’t get to judge me and that’s not what this review is about). I slowly transitioned to all formula by week 6 and as more and more of my baby’s diet consisted of formula he became increasing fussy. He had green sticky blob poops that smelled horrendous and slightly acidic. He had gas and would arch his back in pain. His spit up was only slightly above average amounts except for the few times he projectile vomited it all up. We were giving him gas drops and gripe water at every single feeding and he still couldn’t get comfortable.Through out this time we tried 8 different formulas. Some were marginally better that others or seemed to fix one problem but exacerbate the others. As an fyi this is a complete list of formulas we tried: Gerber gentle, gerber soothe, enfamil infant, enfamil gentlease, Similac sensitive, Similac total comfort, Similac soy, and Similac alimentum. We even tried mixing them to see if that would help.At 2 months and 8 different formulas nothing worked and my poor baby was miserable and started only drinking 2oz. at a time and only because he was starving. I started doing research and I decided my next formulas to try were Baby’s Only lactorelief and Kabrita goat’s milk formula. I went to Whole Foods and was pleased to find both (I wanted something immediate because my baby was suffering but Amazon is cheaper). I started the Baby’s Only a week ago now and haven’t looked back (the unopened Kabrita remains on standby until week 3 and if everything is still great it will go back to Whole Foods). The first thing I noticed is that this formula smells good! No icky chemically smell. My baby is now eager to eat. The gas drops and gripe water are an extreme rarity. He is content and comfortable. The only drawback to this formula are so minor they do not require dropping a star. The formula does oxidize faster than other commercial formulas which means it turns brown and stains easier. Also my baby’s poop hardly smells (this could be considered an advantage) so sometimes he goes way too long in a diaper I didn’t realize was poopy so he gets diaper rash.It was never my intention to get expensive organic formula for my baby because we are a one income family on a tight budget. However this is cheaper than the small cans of Similac they sell at the big box stores and significantly cheaper than Similac Alimentum. It still breaks the bank but it’s worth it for my baby. There are 2 things I’d like to address in my review that I haven’t touched on yet. First is organic brown rice syrup is the first ingredient. In my research I found out that this is cause for concern because arsenic is naturally occurring in brown rice syrup. However a few years back Baby’s Only responded to this concern and now filters it so that there are no detectable amounts of arsenic. You can read more about this on their website. This next thing is that this formula is marketed as toddler formula which is age 12-24 months. From my research it is my understanding that this is for 2 reasons, first is that to be marketed as infant formula it has to be tested and approved by the FDA, a lengthy and expensive process. The next reason and the reason Baby’s Only states on it’s website is because they support breastmilk as the only source of nutrition during the first year. They also acknowledge that this formula meets or exceeds all of the FDA requirement for baby formula.I’m so glad I finally found the right formula for my baby. It might not be right for your baby but if you’ve tried them all and nothing works try this one!!! It’s only been a week so far but I’ll keep Amazon updated 😄Update: This one is a keeper. Baby is so much happier. He’s putting on weight and is healthy. I’m so glad that feeding time is no longer stressful.

A Believer!
I am not a huge organic fanatic. But I have tried many formula’s for my daughter. After being unable to breastfeed due her lactose sensitivity, I was forced to switch to formula. We went directly to soy, that was short lived as I know soy isn’t good for babies and she didn’t have good results. It bound her up really bad, and the gas was terrible too. We then went to Similac Sensitive. She started spitting up a lot…more than the normal spit up a baby should have. So I started to mix the Sensitive with Similac for Spit-up. It helped some but mostly it turned the spit up in to curdled spit up. After reading a post on facebook about GMO’s in formula and hexane I did some research and I decided switching to organic was a must. I researched formula and found Baby’s Only. I had reservations because the can is labeled toddler formula. Please don’t let this sway you. It meets all the needs of an infant and then some. Nature’s One is a breastfeeding promoter which is why this is labeled toddler formula. It doesn’t have GMO’s and this is the only milk based lactose free organic formula on the market. It does contain soy, but all formula contains soy and this formula just contains soybean oil and lecithin (sp?). It doesn’t contain DHA and ARA but it does contain other fatty acids that the body turns into DHA and ARA. Nature’s One also makes an organic GMO free supplement if you want to add it to formula. It also doesn’t contain probiotics (unless I missed that somewhere). I was already giving my daughter additional probiotics for digestion and immunity support so this didn’t sway me either.Awhile back an arsenic scandal erupted about brown rice syrup. Brown rice does naturally contain arsenic. Nature’s One has now filtered the syrup to contain undetectable amounts of arsenic. No worries there. How is my daughter doing on the formula? She is 3 months old. My daughter has been on this formula for a week. The spit up has been reduced to a normal amount (less than a teaspoon per feeding) an infant should have while on a liquid diet. She was always a happy baby but now is even happier. Her gas has reduced significantly. She usually sleeps through the night but would wake before with gas pains that has also subsided. She enjoys the taste and burps come more easily for her now, and that was difficult before. She was also experiencing some congestion for about 4 weeks which I believe could be related to a corn allergy or any toxin that was in Similac and that has also cleared up.This formula is darker in appearance and thicker than Similac. It smells much better and taste far better too (yes I tried it). Her spit up doesn’t have a strong odor, but it is darker than before but I haven’t had any issues with staining, we use bibs and those aren’t staining either. Her stools have been more formed than before but some constipation and formed stools are normal when switching formula.A can of this formula usually lasts about 3 1/2 days. She eats 6-4oz bottles a day. Just to give you an idea of how much a can yields in ounces. There you have it. I’m a believer. I am so happy that I finally found a formula I feel good about giving her and that makes her feel better too. I will update in a couple weeks.08/07/2013-Still very happy with this formula. My daughter is experiencing some firm stools though. I have incorporated some prune juice and it has helped.10/23/2013-Still very happy with the formula. We still have some firm stool issues but I will take that over her ingesting harmful toxins any day! She is 6 months old now and thriving beautifully! Her pediatrician even commented on how beautiful her skin is (she had eczema) and how she is growing well and not over weight.01/07/2015-We used this formula until my daughter was 16 months old. I still swear by this formula and if I have another baby and can’t breastfeed, we will use it again.

If only this was an “infant” formula
If this formula was FDA approved, regulated, labeled and commercialized as an infant formula, I would give this a 5 out of 5 star rating. My son loves this formula and he tolerates it better than any dairy or soy based formula that our pediatricians and nutritionist have recommended. The American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Academy of Family Physicians do not recommend routine use of toddler formulas for toddlers and use of these toddler formulas for infants is rarely recommended. Interestingly, most reviews I have seen for these toddler formulas, are from parents giving these formulas to infants not tolerating other infant formulas on the market or who prefer these formulas to traditional infant formulas. The argument of not offering these as actual infant formulas to support breastfeeding in the U.S. is flimsy and undermines the autonomy of parents and providers to make individualized decisions that are in the best interest of children. Furthermore, punishing those who cannot breastfeed or struggle to breastfeed for the shortcomings of employers, U.S. societal norms, the formula marketing practices in the U.S., etc., is cruel and shortsighted. Additionally, this approach fails to support the empowerment of women in the workforce, LGBTQ+ families with adopted infants, mothers who have true medical contraindications for breastfeeding, and vegan families… to only name a few. There are honestly better ways to support breastfeeding in the U.S.Our Story:I have struggled with maintaining my breast milk supply for months after returning to work as an ICU provider. I continue to struggle despite good social support, access to a hospital grade breast pump, and trying every recommendation from my lactation consultant. Short of leaving my career… I have tried everything, but often cannot keep up with his intake and have a hungry/angry baby that nurses around the clock during my stretch of shifts.I started supplementing with this formula only on days that I work and my son has gone from near the 30th percentile in weight to the 60th percentile in weight. Now I feel guilty for exclusively breastfeeding for so long and wish I would have started supplementing with this formula sooner. Initially, we opted to try, and eventually fail, several dairy and soy based formulas recommended by our pediatricians and nutritionist, before trying this formula against their advice. As a vegan family, this was the formula I preferred, however no provider I saw would recommend a “toddler” formula for my infant. Now I am left feeling guilty and unsupported for providing a formula that is not recommended for my infant.Who benefits in this situation? Definitely not mother’s and infants. However, there is no doubt that Nature’s One knowingly makes a significant portion of their profit on parents giving this formula to infants, while Nature’s One has not made the effort to have these formulas approved and regulated as an infant formula in the U. S.

I feel good about giving to my baby
This really is a superb product. I chose the whey protein because it seems to closely match that of breastmilk. Of course, nothing truly compares to breastmilk but this is one of the best formulas. Prior to choosing Babys Only Whey Protein my 4 month old (he started at 3 months) son went through formula after formula. I’m struggling with a low supply so I have to supplement. He was having constipation, gassy, fussy and I felt bad for him. I went through everything…Similac, Gerber, Enfamil. Variations of different brands…gentle, organic, etc. Nothing helped. He’s been on this about 3 weeks or so. No problems. His bowel movements are regular again, no more crying and it apparently tastes good because he doesn’t push it out with his tongue like he did with some of the others. Also this doesn’t have a smell…some of the others we tried did. The only issue is the price. You can find this on the Nature One website for $14.99 plus shipping which totals about $19 so I was comfortable purchasing it from Amazon since I have prime. The price was $19.08 with 2 day shipping so I was getting it faster. However, the price is raising…it’s gone up to $21….no sir….no ma’am. I shall not pay inflation price. I was considering one of the other kinds of Babys Only like Dairy or the DHA since they are cheaper, although I really want to stick with Whey. That’s when I discovered from one of the reviews that you can purchase at Whole Foods…I didn’t know that. I called my local Whole Foods and sure enough they have it. Bonus: they have the Whey Protein and it’s $12.99!!! I will no longer purchase from Amazon and their high price. If they dropped it to a reasonable price that’s on point to how much the original manufacturer sells it for then I would buy from Amazon but until then…off to Whole Foods I go!!! So happy that the price is CHEAPER! This is a great product!

Compare to Happy Baby
I bought this to substitute for Happy Baby Organic Sensitive. First, this formula does not mix well, AT ALL. It was clumpy. Took forever and then was very foamy from trying to mix it. Secondly, I’m not sure of the taste because my son didn’t finish the bottle. He only drank half of it. I know this stuff is one of the best formula’s in the United States, buuuut. Like everything else, doesn’t work for everyone.

The best formula
So I spent about 4 months researching formula so when the time came that we needed to supplement from formula in place of breast milk, our baby girl would have the best. I couldn’t believe the amount of crap that was in similac and enfamil when I started reading the labels. I wanted organic, and the organic similac used cane sugar, which is just down right terrible for your baby’s teeth. Also, the chemicals used to extract DHA in those brands disgust me. Baby’s Only extracts DHA and ARA from egg protein, which is awesome. It also doesn’t contain all the crap that is in the other brands. There are some chemicals that cannot be avoided when using formula, which there is nothing you can do about. However, you can avoid the other chemicals, and that is what Baby’s Only does. We have been rotating breast milk and Baby’s Only every other feeding, and our baby girl loves it. No problems with anything what so ever. The customer service is also great with the company. I’m so glad I found this product. So our baby transitioned from breast milk to formula only around month 4, and she is now almost 8 months old. This formula is still proving to be the best. Absolutely no issues with her feeding with this product. I cannot believe how fast she is growing. I swear, once she started using this formula, she started growing like a weed. The doctor says she is extremely healthy and is most certainly getting the best nutrition she can through this product. I am so extremely happy with this product it really is hard to put it into words. So many others have had so many issues with brands like similac and enfamil. I am really surprised this product isn’t so much more expensive, since it is so much better.

Baby’s Own is the Best Formula I’ve Found So Far
I’ve researched tons of baby formulas. This is the only one that I have ever found that contains very little of the unhealthy ingredients that others have. My only reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars, is because they use Soybean Oil which I do not think is a healthy ingredient for any human or pet.My wife’s breast milk natural ran out weeks after birth. It is really unfortunate that this formula, and this company, does not sell a product for any baby under the age of 1 year old. I decided to start our son at 8 months on this formula after my pediatrician agreed that it was the best option. If someone researches the ingredients of formulas like I have, they may wonder like me, why someone would want to feed their baby formulas that contain controversial ingredients like high 2-palmitic acid vegetable oil, soybean oil, canola oil, palm kernel oil, glucose syrup solids, mortierella alpina oil, or crypthecodinium cohni oil? the answer is simple… there are no other options that do not contain at least one of these. So parents are left to pick the ones with the least amount of these potentially harmful ingredients and just hope for the best.As far as non organic formulas, I think they are completely unhealthy for human consumption and would never feed my baby, myself, or my pets most of those non-organic ingredients unless there was absolutely no other options. There is just too much potential for exposing my child to more pesticide and other chemical residuals than necessary if I bought non organic formula.

Worked the best for my little one
I had to exclusively pump for my LO for 6 months due to problems with nursing. We began to introduce formula and it has been a nightmare. We have tried so many formulas: babys only dairy, similac advance, gerber soothe, gerber gentle, alimentum, honest co, Nutramigen, similac total comfort, similac sensitive–I think that’s the complete list. Every one gave him some sort of problem. The “best tolerated” was similac sensitive but gave him horrible gas and constipation. Decided to try this as a last ditch effort. It’s only been 2 days but seems to be working well so far. Less gas and normal poops (have been giving some prune juice as well so can’t tie this solely to the formula).5 stars for now. I will come back and update. I am praying it continues to work for my baby as I am desperate and don’t want to give him some of the ingredients in other formulas!UPDATE: It’s been 2 weeks since we started using this formula. My little one is still drinking it well! That is a huge victory for us. The gas is highly improved over the Similac Sensitive. We still have bouts of constipation. Not sure if that is from the formula though or the increase in solid foods he is eating. A little diluted prune juice every day seems to keep it under control. With all of the terrible formula issues we have had, I am so relieved to have found a product that not only is working for my baby but also has ingredients I feel more comfortable with. Still 5 stars!I just wanted to come back and state that this formula continued to work great for my baby until we went to whole milk. I am very thankful for the product and would highly recommend it to others.

It has a bad smell and taste.
Yea. I tasted it. I taste them all to make sure it is roughly not poison. They all taste bad. (to me, not the target) lol. This one, however, is different. It has a rancid aftertaste. Not the Iron aftertaste that makes baby formula gross. Or the somewhat chalky taste of Pediasure or similar products is hidden behind the sugar. No, this is more like rancid oil. The taste you would get from expired oil or oil-based salad dressings is going bad. It did taste like poison. The target agreed, and the face confirmed it.The smell doesn’t help. It doesn’t smell good. Most smell like a generic milk smell. Not great, not bad. This smells more like pungent cheese. I will likely donate or throw away the unopened containers. A waste of money, but we need something else. Lesson learned. Only buy one pack of something the first time.Bubs/enfagrow/pediasure/Nido = all consumable options. No issues with those. This one is something else entirely. What makes it so different? No idea. But it is its own category of taste and smell.

Do not buy from Amazon unless it is shipped from Amazon and has prime!
I stand by my previous reviews this formula is awesome. However don’t buy it from Amazon unless it’s available through Prime and ships from Amazon. Other people have been buying it and scalping it and selling it for more $ under other storefronts. Amazon really needs to get on top of this. I will be buying from the actual baby’s only website (they now have free shipping available for where I live) and I can save 20% if I subscribe and save to the 6pack.I really can’t believe there are people out there who are crappy enough to buy up the formula at a cheaper price and sell it for more taking advantage of people who really need it for their babies. It’s a sad world. will start this off with I have a 5 month old exclusively breastfed baby. For health reasons that I’m not going to go into detail on, I cannot continue to nurse him. I first got a free canister of the dairy formula from baby’s only website ( so if you were thinking of trying this definitely pick up a free canister from there). But this lactose sensitive version is my Holy Grail. I didn’t really run into many issues with the dairy except that he seemed a little more gassy than usual and had quite a bit of spit up, so I figured I would give this stuff a try. The lactorelief version is awesome! I have been mixing it half a bottle with my breast milk that I had Frozen for him and half a bottle of mixed formula and gradually transitioned him to drinking all formula. We haven’t had any problems with constipation, if anything he’s more regular. Definitely get a kitchen scale and measure out how many grams of powder to ounces of water goes into the bottle. I read another review that had mentioned doing that, and like I said we haven’t run into any problems with constipation. For mixing, warm water is definitely the best. I will usually mix it up with pretty warm water and then let it settle for a while cuz it is pretty easy to get air bubbles into this formula. I find mixing it with a spoon in the bottle (takes a little longer) but he’s a lot less gassy then if I would to just shake it in the bottle.

Best you’ll ever find
I’ve been feeding this protein to my new born baby in combination with breast-milk and we love it. My first born was to fussy all the time with the common formulas that contain taurine. But my second born is more calm never fussy sleeps a lot and is growing strong. Thank God for this product.

Amazing product
Well, I recieved this today and had to come and leave a review. I have the world’s most stubborn baby. I have tried to wean her multiple times. My daughter wouldn’t even take breastmilk from bottles or sippy cups for months. Finally, I got her to sort of drink from a straw sippy and a regular cup. She’s 9 months. Well I desperately need to wean due to severe PPD, so I continue each day to coax her to drink from her cup. Well, she will not go near formula. I have tried similac and enfimil (the new brand closest to breastmilk) thinking they would be sweeter like breastmilk, but no. I’ve tried multiple organic brands, even adding less than an ounce to breastmilk but nope. She started refusing cups again. It’s like she can smell it coming. I’ve even tried to see if she’d drink watered down whole milk, and she liked that over formula, but not enough to drink more than a few sips. Well, I stopped giving her formula completely to help her start accepting her sippy cup again. I bought this on a whim after reading reviews one evening and it was delivered in one day. I made a meager 2 oz. assuming she would push the cup away….BUT she sipped it, pulled away and then went BACK for another drink. She slowly drank the whole cup, but she drank it! This is a huge win for us. I did add more water like some suggested to try to avoid constipation. I hope this will be our new formula, and we can wean eventually for good. 🙂

Safest Choice For Our Baby
I was verrry nervous to try formula at 7 months with my EBF baby. My baby has really bad reflux and his milk intake was not consistent enough to keep my supply stable. So, I pumped a lot. I also went back to work around the 4 month mark and did not mind the pumping in the beginning. I was beginning to feel really unhappy and stuck to the pump. I felt like I was living by the clock and sick of planning my life around trying to feed and then pump to make sure my supply did not slow down. After weeks of debate & guilt of even thinking about it, I decided it’s time to take care of myself and start weaning my son from BFing. I have a nice milk stash from pumping to last him a couple of months, but I will have to supplement with some formula. So, I am going to do give him 2 feedings of formula a day until his milk intake begins to decrease as he starts to eat more solids.I was stressed about finding the safest, cleanest formula possible and I was beginning to consider if I should continue pumping when I saw how horrible all these known brand name formulas are!! How is it even legal for most of these to be even on the market??? I started to research formula and Baby’s Only was one of the very few that intrigued me as an option (HIPP was another one, but it seemed like a hassle to find to purchase). It was literally the only formula that gave me a sigh of relief at the thought of comfortably putting in my baby’s body. I read and read about how it was one of the cleanest and closest to the taste of BM. I even read into the brown sugar and arsenic levels. Do your research, people! The company has filtered it out.I wanted to test this out before I made a final decision to stop pumping so I went and purchased it from Whole Foods. To my surprise, my baby did not express any difference to it from BM. I started to test one bottle of formula a day and very quickly realized he would do just fine on it. God, it even smells delicious and helps me feel less guilty for supplementing with it. Since starting solids, my son gets constipated easily. I was also very nervous to throw formula in the mix in the chance that it would make it worse. I was so relieved to see this did not constipate him. Maybe the frozen breast milk is helping with breaking down the formula better (read this online). Whatever it is, this is working for us and I am relieved to have found this. Thank you for making this BFing/pumping mama’s decision to stop a little easier!!I have now switched to ordering from Amazon due to convenience, but it’s worth it to compare prices before purchasing each time. The formula is packaged smaller than other formulas, which makes it a bit expensive. However, I’m willing to pay as much as I need to in order to give my baby the best possible, but I will shop around for it.

Helped my baby for sure
When my baby transitioned into toddler formula and regular milk, she became constipated to all types of milk and toddler formulas. This formula is the only formula that doesn’t make her constipated to where she was always fighting and crying to go.

Like my picky toddler slurps this away. No need for questions dear. Y’all need to be buying this for your toddlers. I’m sorry I didn’t find it earlier. I bought this after Else toddler formula prices went too high for me to purchase. But lil one prefer this so this is where we’ll be staying.

Best milk there is
My kid loves this milk and she’s gaining weight too with this milk. BM is normal and looks healthy. I wish they will include the goat’s milk here on Amazon.

Best formula!
Hands down the best formula in the USA!Usually purchase from their website directly, but ran out and had to order from Amazon while my package arrived. Also, we use the dairy formula, but this was the only one available on Amazon and arriving overnight.Nonetheless we absolutely love this brand and have used it on both our littles. One is now 4yrs old and the other will be turning one soon and just started her formula journey. So far pretty good !

Love love love this formula
I cannot recommend this formula enough. After two weeks of breastfeeding I was informed that I wasn’t making enough milk to feed my baby so I began supplementing. First we tried enfamil. I didn’t know anything about formula and enfamil comes in those cute reusable containers with the flip lids that make it really easy to make a bottle with one hand. We tried a bunch (supplementing, gentle ease, acid reflux). All of them gave my baby awful green swamp poops that would irritate her bum and she was spitting up constantly. She had a ton of gas and would projectile spit up all throughout the day. Supplementing formula made her cry when she would eat it and she wouldn’t eat that much, gentle ease made her feel a little better but still super gassy and spitting up a lot and acid reflux was probably the most gentle on her but that isn’t saying much. Then I began researching formulas.I thought maybe she was lactose intolerant and started giving her organic soy whole foods brand formula, but then I read that you really shouldn’t feed your baby soy formula unless your pediatrician recommended it so I kept on researching and found an article from someone who’s job it was to classify things as organic. She broke down the differences between all the organic formulas out there (there aren’t that many) and compared their ingredients to regular baby formula.there isn’t a perfect formula out there, even if you are buying organic formula all of them have something wrong with them wether it’s the sweetener used or the method used to manufacture the ingredients, but after reading a ton of reviews and looking at the comparison chart of ingredients this formula looked the best to me so I gave it a shot.I am sooooooooo happy with my decision. It took less than a day for us to see the difference. My daughters poops turned from green swamp to brown soft poop. She still spit up a little but now it was a normal amount and just after she ate and not throughout the entire day. She stopped crying when she was eating and she wasn’t farting constantly.I tasted it to see what it tastes like and it isn’t very sweet and tastes like wheat. My daughter doesn’t seem to mind the taste. At about two months old I completely stopped producing breast milk so she ate just this formula from 2-4 months old and now she is 7 months old and eats solid food and this formula and is doing great. She is a very solid healthy baby. This will be my go to for any future babies if I am in need of formula again, I am so glad I discovered this and would recommend it to anyone. This is the cheapest place that I have found it and it is delivered fast. It always comes 2-4 days before the date they tell me it will be delivered.

My son was switched over from sensitivity premium formula to Baby’s Only Toddler Formula when he turned one and he has had no issues adjusting to it!I find that it does have a weird smell, but my son doesn’t seem to notice.

Probably the best formula on the market
I love love love this product for my 2 1/2 month old boy. I am his foster mom, so unfortunately I can’t breast feed him. I have used breast milk donated by others but it’s inconsistent. We got our little guy when he was 4 days old and I have always wondered if he had some type of dairy sensitivity. We have tried so many other formulas (all organic and non GMO) and have tried making our own. But, most have corn, whey, and glucose syrup so he has always had a hard time digesting those products. He was fussy and I could tell that he was in pain. I work as a Health Coach at an Integrative Health clinic and unfortunately, know too much about how corn, soy, and whey are higher allergen foods. I didn’t want to switch to a soy only product, because soy is worse than anything. Soy can cause hormonal issues as they get older, so that wasn’t an option. Again..I know too much..This is the BEST product that we have found for our little guy! There’s no whey and corn, which is awesome! However, there’s still soy but it’s impossible to find soy free formula unless I make my own goat milk…which maybe an option again down the road. I just wish it didn’t have soy in it and instead use olive oil along with the other oils.He is much happier on this formula. He doesn’t really cry much anymore, he’s not as gassy, and he rarely spits up. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars was because he only poops once a day and usually it’s diarrhea. He’s a baby, he needs to be pooping more throughout the day and usually he poops in the AM after I give him probiotics and DHA with his formula. I have read other reviews and it seems that this formula can cause constipation but our guy doesn’t seem constipated and uncomfortable. Sometimes, if I feel that he is uncomfortable I will give him a little baby DHA fish oil and that usually does the trick. I also don’t give him full scoops because it is a heavier, more nutrient dense powder.I have also been reading about the brown rice syrup and arsenic concerns. Again..being in my field, I have learned and researched as long as they are using ORGANIC brown rice syrup, it would be completely free of arsenic. So, no need to worry about arsenic in this product.I am quite pleased with this product. Overall, I will be sticking with this formula until he can eat foods.

Good, SMALL CANS!
I tried this Baby’s Only gentle dairy toddler formula because it’s palm free, no syrups, organic & non-gmo. My baby girl is 6 months old and had been using Bobbie organic infant formula prior to this toddler formula. She seems to like the taste, and so far no bad side effects from it. My issue with this is that the cans are very small for having paid over $80 for them. We go through a can in about 2 days. It also takes very long to dissolve. I have the baby blendy bottles that blend formula very well but with this formula takes double the time to blend. It has this greyish tone when mixed in water. Don’t know if this is normal? I wish the quantity were larger & easier to dissolve. I also would like if we could buy more in bulk (8-10) cans rather than 6 in the pack because we go through them so fast. So far this is literally the only toddler formula without palm & syrups I could find! All other ones either have one or both & I do not feel comfortable feeding them to my baby.

SPIT UP NO MORE!!!
My sweet baby girl was born at 35w. She has had a spit up issue since day one. She started on Similac Neo 22 cal and tons of spit up but they kept her on it for the high cal count. She then was moved to Gerber Goodstart. Still massive spit up, Went to Gerber Soothe and still tons of spit up BUT on this she was no longer fussy. She became very Happy spitter but at her 4m checkup she was not where she needed to be growth wise (20% for a 1 month old!, She was 4m, 3m adjusted) They said to try Enfamil AR. The only thing that did was make her spit up chunky. NASTY! Still a ton of it, just thicker. Then they suggested SOY, but at this point they told me it was more a “laundry issue” than a “medical issue” . I finally started my own research and started researching nutritional values. This one nutritionally beats everything HANDS DOWN. Added bonus, my sweet baby girl literally has used this for one week and by day 3 her spit up had COMPLETLY VANISHED! She is able to eat more without her tummy getting upset (before she ate2-4 ounces and would throw up about 2 of it each time) Now she will consistently eat 5 ounces and 6 ounces before bed and in morning. She has already put on some weight. I can not say enough about it!MAJOR CON: (I’m not deducting a star for it because I do believe in the formula)If there was a star rating for packaging, convince and size, it would be a 1 star! Only ONE store in my area has it and every time I go in they either have ONE container or are completly sold out resulting in me having to overnight it from amazon, an added expense. This is super expensive alone. In store ($15 a can) and last my little one a day and a half. Yeah, that hits the budget pretty hard. It ONLY comes in a 12.7 0z size. The Gerber and Engamil came in a much bigger package for $23. The size and the packaging was so much better with Enfamil and Gerber. They had a place for the scoop mounted on the lid and lasted me about a week. $23 a week for Gerber/Enfamil verses $60 a week for this (and thats if I order from here. More if I have to buy in store.)THat adds up fast and is a huge dilemma when it comes to paying for it. 🙁

Excellent company, high quality ingredients. Check out the “Dairy With Whey” if your baby is having digestive difficulties.
Prior to the birth of our adopted daughter I spent a good 40 hours researching formula because we wanted her to have the best we could find. We considered importing Holle or Hipp from Germany, but were concerned about the cost and complications of importation. This is when we found Baby’s Only and began researching the company. I was pleased to discover they sourced DHA & ARA from a source I was comfortable with (eggs vs. the standard algae/fungus grown and hexane filtered) and I was very happy with the high quality of every other ingredient. We started her on this formula right away and for 2 weeks she did great. Shortly after her stool became very hard and clay-like. She would go a day without a BM and would struggle. This is when we made the switch to Baby’s Only with Whey Protein. You see, the regular dairy formula has a protein whey to casein ratio of 18:82, whereas breastmilk has a whey to casein ratio of 60:40. Baby’s Only created their new whey formula to match the 60:40 ratio, allowing a more natural digestion of the formula. Within a day of switching my daughter was much more comfortable and passing stool as normal. This issue could have been avoided if I would have combed their website a little more thoroughly to find under nutritional information the breakdown of the proteins in the standard dairy formula, and then found the whey version quicker!I highly recommend switching to the Whey formula if you are finding this type difficult for you child to digest. As a bonus, the whey version does not contain brown rice syrup and is sweetened by lactose only. If you are concerned about the lack of added DHA & ARA in the Whey formula, the following information is from their website, “To date, the Academy of Pediatrics has not come out with a definitive statement on the necessity of adding these two non-essential fatty acids (DHA and ARA) to formula. Nature’s One’s Whey formula is a complete formula even without the supplement because, as mentioned previously, it has two precursor essential fatty acids (linolenic & linoleic) that convert to DHA & ARA fatty acids in the body.”Lastly, my experience with the company’s customer service has been quick and very thorough. They respond to emails with questions timely and with great customer service. Also to note: we find purchasing direct to be much more efficient than Amazon. The price does not fluctuate like it does on Amazon, the shipping is a flat $5.95, and because of where we live in relation to their distribution center, orders arrive FedEx within 1-2 days as opposed to Amazon free shipping arriving 5+ business days.

BEST FORMULA EVER.
After extensive research, I came to the conclusion that Baby’s Only is THE ONLY FORMULA on the US market that I would feel completely comfortable feeding to my baby. I breastfed my first two and never dreamed that this would be an issue. Then my third came along and we had problem after problem after problem nursing! I pumped exclusively for 5 months but then my supply went away and I had to supplement.Let me start by saying I’ve already tried many other brands, and almost all of them have given my son troubles (severe diaper rashes, intense diarrhea, projectile vomiting). He has an extremely sensitive tummy, and this is the one brand that I have tried that has not affected him negatively whatsoever. We’ve been using it for a couple of months now.In addition, this is the ONLY brand (yes – even out of all those organic brands on the US market) that doesn’t use high fructose corn syrup, AND the absolutely only brand that uses egg yolks as the source of DHA, rather than algae that is hexane filtered.Last but not least, don’t let the “toddler formula” title mislead you. They put that on all of their cans because they want to encourage breastfeeding for the first year, but this formula is perfectly fine for infants! That really confused me when I first saw it, so I wanted to clear that up for anyone else who was perplexed by that.Bottom line – do your research, decide what’s best for your baby, but after many long hours of searching/comparing I can honestly tell you that Baby’s Only is the best you can find in the US. I say US because I know there are European brands that are just as excellent, if not superior, but you DO have to weigh the cost and time of having it shipped to you from overseas if you go that route. :-)Best of luck to you all!

The Absolute BEST!
Baby’s Only Lactorelief has made a huge difference in our 10 week old! Our baby was breastfed with supplementation for his first 6 weeks. After being advised to stop breast feeding due to medical issues, we had no choice but to switch to 100% formula. Our little guy had constant gas pains, terrible reflux and colic which began when he was 2 weeks. We tried Enfamil Newborn and Gentlease which made him gag and cry for hours. We then switched to Similac Sensitive which he tolerated better, but still presented terrible reflux and was crying through the night. We then tried Simliac Soy, thinking he may have a dairy allergy; this gave him terrible gas, not to mention thick and pasty dirty diapers. He had choking spells during feedings with all of the above formulas, including breast milk. He was sleeping 4 hours max at night and having many bouts of crying spells due to gas pains and reflux. We switched to Baby’s Only when he was 8 weeks old. After two days on this formula he began sleeping through the night and became a different baby. His colic stopped as he only cried when he had obvious needs. We went from giving him prescribed Prevacid (for his reflux) once a day to once or twice a week. He now sleeps 7 hours through the night and is such a happy baby. I am so thankful we found Baby’s Only. My main concerns about this formula in the beginning were “Toddler Formula” and the “DHA and ARA.” I emailed the company and received a response within hours. They stated this formula is safe and intended for infants. It is advertised as toddler formula to promote breast feeding for the first year. They explained that the non essential fatty acids (DHA and ARA) are not added to this formula, but the essential fatty acids required for DHA and ARA are. A healthy infant or toddler has the capability of making the essential fatty acids into DHA and ARA. It is comforting knowing my baby is still getting the essential fatty acids without the worry of algal and fungal sources being added like they are in all other formulas. Another benefit to this formula is it does not contain Hexane (a type of gasoline) that is found in all other formulas. As a parent we want to ensure the health and safety of our children, and I believe this formula is the best choice for our child!

The best formula we have tried; easy on the stomach; pay attention to the ingredients
We were given a son with a sensitive stomach: he was prone to spitting up, gas, hiccuping, and constipation. This was the case with breastmilk. He was also unhappy while drinking breastmilk–whether that was because he always seemed unsatisfied, even after eating, or due to other reasons, we’ll never know. But after a tongue-tie surgery for him and a prescription drug for my wife (for her supply) and lots of heartache, we finally made the switch to 1/2 breastmilk and 1/2 Baby’s Only lactose free. He seemed happier but still cranky and still full of reflux. Once my wife finally threw in the towel on breastfeeding, we went to 100% Similac Alimentum (read my review on that), and he was still cranky and full of reflux. After several weeks on that, we then switched back to Baby’s Only–this time exclusively–and he was a changed baby. Even my mother-in-law (who thought we should breastfeed) remarked on day two that he was like a new baby. His gas and spitting up nearly went away completely. His mood improved dramatically. And we, as parents, felt happy for the first time in his young life. And this has remained true to this day, months later. I cannot recommend this product enough! An important note: the can says “toddler formula,” but pay close attention to the ingredients. There’s a chart online at the Nature’s One site that compares various popular infant formulas to Baby’s Only toddler formula; through this chart, it becomes apparent that Baby’s Only is nearly nutritionally identical to the popular infant formulas (with a few differences here and there in mineral content and protein). Indeed, the chart shows that Baby’s Only formula meets all of the required amounts set by the Infant Formula Act & Amendments. The Baby’s Only website also explains that the company uses the name “toddler formula” because the company believes that all babies should be breastfed exclusively until one year of age, but that the formula is indeed suitable for earlier use.In sum, although I don’t know what will work for you and your family, this formula has done wonders for our son. He’s almost like a new baby, we think because of the formula–it’s the only change we can definitively point to during that time period and we were paying close attention to everything going on that could possibly have accounted for his mood.If you have any questions, feel free to post a comment–we went through such a struggle with his feeding for so many months that I would be happy to help out.

I tried Earth’s Best at first
My baby was breastfed exclusively for the first six months of his life and then we decided to put him on formula (for multiple reasons). Anyhow, I tried Earth’s Best at first, but my usually happy baby became very irritable. He would take the milk, but would scream bloody murder afterwards, and first thing in the morning his normal pleasant demeanor changed to anger. So, I switched it up to Baby’s Only. So far so good (it’s been about a week). He drinks the milk great- but truth be told, he’ll drink/eat just about anything. His demeanor has gone back to normal, he’s happy all the time and playing. The only reason I give this a 4 star instead of a 5 star is because of last night. He was half asleep and hadn’t had his nighttime bottle. So we “Dream Fed” him, which we would do with breastmilk all the time. We about 3 hours later, at 1 am, he began screaming bloody murder, for almost an hour an half. After he burped about 5 times, he seemed happy, and we right back to sleep and didn’t wake up until I woke him up at 9 am.So is the gas because of THIS formula, or would this have been the problem with any formula if you fed the baby and didn’t burp them? I don’t know. What I do know are the following:1) He throws up MUCH less on this formula than he did with Earth’s Best;2) He’s NOT constipated, though this could also be because I feed him green leafy veggies and fruits (boiled and mashed);3) He’s seven months (not a Toddler) and the formula appears to suit his little system just fine; and4) HE SEEMS HAPPIER, AND THAT’S ALL THAT MATTERS!So, in sum, we’ll be sticking to this stuff. There is no perfect formula (especially compared to breastmilk), but this one does the job.

100% Recommend
After doing a ton of research on formula’s when i realized i would not be able to sustain my baby just nursing, I found this formula. A friend of mine who’s a breast feeding advocate recommended it being the only formula she would ever even consider if she could not nurse for some reason. After researching the ingredients and realizing it did not have corn syrup sweetener, palm oil, carrageenan, or DHA/ ARA derived with the hexane method, i was sold. Corn Syrup/ maltodextrin in itself is linked with childhood obesity and isn’t even good for us adults. Palm oil is linked with decreased bone density. Carregeenan can be linked with dangerous inflammation in your baby’s gut. And the hexane method is a way to derive DHA/ ARA by use of ingredients extracted with neurotoxic solvents from algae and soil fungus. Which is not exactly the way mom (breast milk) makes it. Studies repeatedly failed to show benefits from adding these additives to formula, and the FDA had been receiving dozens of reports from parents and pediatricians who noticed some babies do not tolerate these ingredients. Another concern with these additives is how they are produced which is with oil extracted from the algae and fungus with the use of hexane, a neurotoxic petroleum-based solvent. The only company that adheres to the legal requirement that DHA and ARA oil must not be extracted with the use of the neurotoxic solvent hexane is Nature’s One, which has chosen a water-extracted source of DHA and ARA (derived from egg yolks) for its Baby’s Only Organic formula. This in itself was enough! My son has taken so incredibly well to the formula. He transitioned from breast milk to this formula no complaints. I gave my first child similac and after knowing the ingredients it consists of now, I will NEVER consider those products again!PLUS subscribe and save makes this more affordable than even similac. The non GMO similac is $25 for 170 ounces. It takes two of these small cans to make 170 ounces however that adds up to a little under $18 with subscribe and save. Saving money and offering my son the best product on the market.

Great Product
I primarily breastfeed but needed to supplement because I wasn’t able to pump enough to leave the baby. Also he wasn’t gaining weight so I have to give him a few ounces after feedings. I was a little hesitant to buy this product because it’s a “toddler formula” and the negative reviews about baby’s getting constipation. So when my little one was about 10 weeks we started with Earth’s Best Organic he tolerated well but I really wanted to try Baby’s only. I knew that Baby’s only was superior to Earth’s Best and if I had to give formula I wanted the best out there. After more research and reading many reviews I decided to take a chance and switch. I got a free can from the Baby’s Only website to start off with. We made the switch gradually alternating between the 2 formulas for about a week, then ran out of Earths Best and just started feeding Baby’s Only. Around the 3rd week he didn’t poop for 3 days and I got a little worried. I gave him the garden of life probiotic for kids mixed with a little breast milk. This worked and he pooped the same day. His poop was normal looking, it wasn’t hard, he didn’t cry like it hurt him or strain when he went. I think his tummy had to get used to the formula change. He is now 4 months and hasn’t had any problems and has taken to this formula really well. When mixing the formula for use right away I like to warm the water first and mix with a spoon it seems to help break it up. When I make it for later use I shake the bottle and stick it in the fridge it does create lots of bubbles but by the time I use it they are gone. The formula seems pricey and it seems like you are buying more because the cans are smaller but when compared to earth’s best but it is actually only a few dollars more. I am willing to pay a few more dollars since I know it is the “better” choice when supplementing. If I have to supplement with my second child I will not hesitate to start with this formula.

Pricey, quality product.
There appears to be yet another shortage hitting stores, toddler formula. After checking Amazon I decided to give this product a try. I should’ve paid more attention to the ounces because the can is pretty small. Most brands offer double the amount of product for the same price. Still you’re paying for the Made in the USA and the organic ingredients. Regardless, my 15 month old has taken to the formula just fine. He drinks whole milk during the day, and then this formula at night. It thankfully hasn’t given him any gas or other intestinal upsets. The formula doesn’t smell like anything in my opinion and I like that it doesn’t have any corn syrup.

The Next Best Thing to Mother’s Milk
Sadly, we had to supplement breast feeding with formula and originally started with the doctor’s supplied can of Enfamil. The baby hated it and would take maybe a half ounce at a time. After two days of that, I got the Baby’s Only Organic Whey Protein formula and it has been a 180 degree experience. Our baby boy has been thriving on this formula. I supplement my breast milk with this formula and his poo has been very similar to that when on exclusive breast milk feedings. He guzzles this down and smacks his lips in pleasure when finished. I kid you not! I still feel guilty for having to use formula, but that guilt has been greatly diminished by knowing I’m feeding him the next best thing. Yes, breast milk is preferred, but when your body cannot keep up with your baby’s demands, then you have to do what’s right for your baby. His health and ability to thrive is all that matters in the end.I called the company and spoke with a rep to get information regarding if a product labeled for Toddlers is okay to feed a newborn infant and the woman I spoke with was very informative. I did my own independent research to find what is considered minimum guidelines for a product to qualify as an infant’s formula and Baby’s Only Organic not only meets those standards, it exceeds them. I ran all of this by our pediatrician and got the thumb’s up from her for us to feed this formula to our baby and the proof is in the pudding, so to speak. He is gaining weight like a champ, has minimal spit ups, and seems to enjoy the milk. For those on the fence, try going to the website directly and ordering from there. They allow a free full-sized can as a one-time gift/promotion with your first purchase. Also, for reference, we considered the two highly rated formulas from abroad, but in the end, decided there were too many variables that were dicey and chancy going that route so opted to find something domestically manufactured to fit our needs. We could not recommend this formula more highly!

Formula changed so daughter hates it now ;-p
April 2016 Update:I had given Baby’s Only LactoRelief a 5 star review but had to come back and change that since they changed their formula to add DHA & ARA. We were part of Amazon’s subscribe and save program so we would get regular deliveries of this formula for our daughter. The Amazon website still displays the original can but all the shipments we got were for the new formula. I’m annoyed with Baby’s Only for eliminating the regular LactoRelief completely, instead of just introducing a LactoRelief with DHA & ARA as an additional formula option. I had left a message with Nature’s One the makers of Baby’s Only and actually go a call back from their customer service department. They were really nice and helpful in recommending the Soy formula since it is the closest in taste to the original LactoRelief. They even offered to send a free sample of their Soy formula for my daughter to try. Hoping it will be a suitable substitute. My daughter has a milk protein allergy. She was on Allimentum at first but hated the taste so much that she refused to eat most of the time. We then switched to Nutramigen, she seemed to tolerate the taste at first but after a week she started to refuse it as well. We were pretty frustrated since she needed to improve her weight gain. Allimentum and Nutramigen was suppose to be better for her digestion, but it didn’t help if she refused to drink them. That is when we decided to try Baby’s Only LactoRelief, it had a mild smell like flour or oatmeal, at least that was what it smelled like to us. It was also mildly sweet like rice cereal so our daughter really took well to it. She has now been on the LactoRelief formula for almost 2 months without issue. Of course every baby is different but thus far this has worked great for our child. We mix the formula with bottled water (room temperature) since tap water, even filtered still seems to have issues allowing the formula powder to dissolve easily. I would suggest pre-scooping the desired amount of formula in a bottle and just mixing with bottled water when needed. We like that better than premixing the complete formula, since that means you have to store it in the fridge, and than having to reheat it when needed, which thickens the formula and makes it less appetizing for the baby.

Tried and failed my toddler couldn’t handle it
Since my daughter stopped infant formula she hasn’t been able to stick to one type of milk and when I finally got her to take NAN there is a formula shortage. We tried this formula but unfortunately it didn’t work for her it made her stool really loose throughout the whole time she was on the formula

Pickiest baby in the world accepted this.

when I read an article that was showing all of the ingredients in organic formulas that are still not good for babies
Going back to work, when your baby is only a few months old, is tough on a mom. With each of my kids, my supply suffered tremendously once I went back to work. With my fourth baby, I knew this was inevitable. I tried everything to keep my supply up and was able to make a huge supply of frozen milk before I headed back to work when she was only 6 weeks. By the time she turned 4 months, my frozen breastmilk supply was dwindling and I was only getting 2-4 oz when I pumped at work. I knew it was time to get a formula for emergency purposes. I was looking for an organic formula, because that is important to me, when I read an article that was showing all of the ingredients in organic formulas that are still not good for babies. I had no idea. I considered making my own formula, but with 4 kids and a full time job, I just did not have the time. After doing more extensive research, I fell upon Baby’s Only. It was the best on the market, and, right now, its cheaper than enfamil. So, I decided to give it a try. My baby took it right away without hesitation and her stomach and digestion seemed to be doing the same. I was happy! Now, I only breastfeed about 3 times a day, so she is mostly getting the formula. I do notice she has a lot more gas, but it doesn’t seemed to bother her. Her poop has become a bit more solid than with breastmilk, but no constipation. She is 5 months now so if we do have that problem, I will just mix in some prune juice to help regulate her. Overall, I am very happy with this product. If I can’t breastfeed, it’s the next best thing. Plus, I love the convenience of it showing up to my front door every week.

Only formula my son will drink
I’m one of those moms who decided to go to formula after much effort of bf. My friend recommended this product and due to my guilt of not being able to bf, I purchased this formula without much thought. After I ran out of formula, I decided to try the free samples I received from Similac and Enfamil. With Similac, my son would show his distaste for this formula by making a sour face every time I tried to feed him. Also, his BM was very yellow and runny. Enfamil seemed to match him a little better but this formula made him very gassy throughout the day.I decided to switch back to Baby’s Only and my son seemed to enjoy it immediately. My biggest concern, based on other’s reviews as well as my own experience, is this formula can cause constipation. When my son was just a about a month old, he screamed in pain due to his BM. I was shocked to see how big it was compared to his size. After reading more reviews, I learned you shouldn’t pack the formula when scooping. So instead, I loosely scooped it and made sure if I’m making 4oz, I went a little above the 4oz line.I also like that this formula has non-GMO ingredients, no corn syrup and lipids naturally derived from egg yolk. Also, the milk is not derived from any dairy cows that are given artificial growth hormone, steroids or antibiotics. No fake stuff here!!! My son is currently 7 months old and he is still on Baby’s Only. I’m not sure if the formula contributed to the fact that he’s currently in his 97th percentile for height and 70th percentile for weight. This formula is extremely expensive and will make a dent in your wallet but for the quality, it’s well worth it.

Good, but baby had allergy
I was so happy to find a good organic product and my baby really liked the formula, but unfortunately had a bad allergy reaction to it

Best organic formula
LOVE this formula-granted my daughter wasn’t on many different ones before this. We had a difficult time breastfeeding-she is my first and I didn’t get much help with the latch. By the time she was 3 weeks old, I was in pain and desperate and she was losing weight. We saw a lactation consultant a few times but nothing changed and my supply started to plummet. Finally, it was 2 months later and we couldn’t nurse anymore. We first tried Earth’s Best and baby broke out in an awful rash (still hard to look at this baby pictures). The pediatrician recommended Nutrimagen which was just awful. The smell was horrendous and baby hated the flavor. BUT her rash went away. I did some research and figured it might have to do with the dairy that was in the Earth’s Best formula so we went out on a limb and ordered a few cans of Lactorelief (there weren’t any local stores that carried this formula in our area at the time). Baby took to it so well. Her skin cleared up, she was less gassy, she slept better, and on and on. Now, 10 months later, we are beginning the process of weaning off this formula. My daughter is beautiful, healthy, and smart. This is probably the best organic formula out there and finding this definitely took some of the guilt of not breastfeeding away. My sister in law gives it to her newborn and he is doing just fine as well. My only issue is that the prices on Amazon are much higher than in store. Whole Foods sells this formula for $14.99 in store. I’ve watched the prices fluctuate a lot. DO NOT order on Amazon (unless you have to) if the price is above $14.99. It shouldn’t be so high for a product that people NEED.

Great formula, but CALCIUM amounts are high for babies under 9 months!!!
I selected this when we needed to supplement breastfeeding our baby-he needed extra calories due to a serious heart defect, and we used this from birth to when he was about 5 months old and are using it again now that he is 8 months (see below for why we stopped using it for a while). After lots of obsessive research into ingredients in the formulas out there, looking for something organic with a natural sweetener (no HFCS etc.), and minimal chemicals. This one has the added benefit of DHA/ARA sourced from egg yolks which appealed to me (instead of the chemically processed/algae derived sources in ALL other formulas in the US). Re: why this is labelled a Toddler formula-it goes beyond the company wanting to support breastfeeding for the first year!! Nutritionally, the amount of calcium in this version is higher (135 mg) than is recommended for babies 0-8 months old. The amount of calcium in this version is better suited for the needs of an older baby (say, 8-9 months +). As a result, the pediatric nutritionist at our (top-rated) children’s hospital recommended switching form this version to Baby’s Only “Lacto-relief” version for our 5 month old, which has an amount of calcium better suited for younger babies (85 mg). Recommendation was purely based on the calcium content, and not related to our baby having any kind of lactose intolerance or related to his special health concerns. So, we used Lacto-relief for when baby was younger, and are now switching back to this Dairy version as he is now ~8 months old and has higher calcium needs. He did great with both versions, and I wanted to pass on what I think is crucial nutritional info from a reliable, expert source! Hope it helps others!

Liked by our Grandson!
He has an animal protein allergy and 10 months old. Had a hard time finding a supplement formula that he would drink. He drinks this one and likes it as much as his mother’s breast milk !

We wanted to love it BUT…
I read the reviews but decided to try it anyway. It does smell … bad like dog food… but all formula stinks to me. It wasn’t impossible. My daughter hated it. I tried mixing with breastmilk and she still refused. Her CMPA symptoms unfortunately appeared with this non-milk formula too (reflux coughing and wheezing). The formula clumps, I had to use a strainer to clear them out. After that, I started using a protein shaker cup to mix it which helps. Overall it did not work for us. I gave it 2 stars because it ships fast and the item matched what I ordered.

Digestive issues cleared up quickly
At about 3 weeks of age (& still eating the special formula he left the NICU with) our baby was experiencing a good deal of spitting up/vomiting every time he ate. His doctor recommended we try a low lactose formula & we purchased a conventional brand locally because that’s what was available. He improved, but still had issues. I really wanted him on an organic formula, so was thrilled to find Nature’s One offered LactoRelief. We used this brand with our last baby & I find the ingredients to be the cleanest in any American made formula.According to the pediatrician, conventional low lactose formulas are about 20-30% lactose. Before ordering LactoRelief I called Nature’s One to inquire about the amount of lactose in it. They said it’s less than 1%-that’s a big difference! I ordered it right away & our son has been on it ever since. His remaining gastric issues cleared up almost immediately & he’s now 3 months old & doing terrific. We’ll keep using this formula until he no longer needs formula.FYI, don’t let the “Toddler Formula” labeling make you nervous. This formula is approved by the FDA as an infant formula. I like that Nature’s One encourages breastfeeding, but in my opinion the labeling is confusion-causing. The simple fact is, not everyone can breastfeed. I’d love to see them remove that labeling so all parents who need or choose formula know this brand is a viable option. Other than that, I love this formula for our baby.

Good for reflux, bad for constipation
I was torn as to how to rate this formula. It completely got rid of my daughters reflux, however she became insanely constipated. She is currently 8 months old, and this is my 2nd try with this… I added 1 Oz of water extra per bottle (if she was eating 4 Oz bottle, I’d have 5oz of water) to be sure she had enough fluid intake. We wound up having to do several suppositories & physically helping her pass rock hard, golf ball size stools the entire time on the formula the first go. We changed formulas & she was still constipated, however it was not even close to the way she was with this formula. Our pediatrician recommended using a stool softener once per day to help soften her stools. Since adding the stool softner, we have gone back to this formula. Our daughter is thriving. She seems to stay full longer, has much less gas & is having daily bowel movements (she is still on daily stool softener)! I am rating this a 4 because it was HEART BREAKING to see my baby struggle to have a BM, to the point that by the third week we were both in tears & I have never felt so helpless… we are weaning the stool softener now, I will update again in a few weeks to let you know if it is my daughters body or the formula being the source of such severe constipation.

tell me if I could be wrong…
OK this might be long-winded but it’s to prove a point. so this was the first formula I chose to supplement my now 7 week old son with. I was happy with it at first and was surprised that his stools were soft, not formed like is usually the case with formula. My son was born with low blood sugar so I check his sugar regularly and they are always highest when I breastfeed but not so great when supplemented and I chalked that up that he finished the bottle quicker and so went longer between meals and so had a lower fasting sugar. His doctor seemed to agree.I’ve tried other formulas around the same time. I really wanted a goat’s milk based formula even though he was doing well on Baby’s Only. I tried Kabrita but it actually started thickening his stools and he got eczema where sweat would collect like the side of his face where I cradle his head (I blamed it on the palm oil, and mystery vegetable oil). I tried Similac organic ready to feed but that garbage gave him the runs because of the carrageenan and similac actually uses sugar instead of lactose. The one in hospitals uses lactose so apparently organic lactose is too expensiveAnyway, when taking mostly this formula, his sugars were dipping to the low side. I couldn’t figure it out since for the passed few weeks they’ve been really good.Well I finally made the connection with the brown rice syrup in Baby’s Only. Most infant formulas use lactose because that is the “sugar” in breastmilk. It has a glycemic index of 46 which is low. Brown rice syrup is 98, which is REALLY high! double the sugar spiking capability of lactose. High glycemic foods generally spike blood sugar quickly (which I witnessed with my son) but will cause a crash in sugar later (also witnessed). They also leave the feeling of being unsatisfied (he wanted to eat more and more of this stuff). I never made the connection until I could compare his sugar on other formulas, or with just breastmilk. So I would really caution against this formula for babies under 1, or even toddlers, or even adults for that matter! It is not close to breastmilk and I encourage moms to look into the research regarding ketosis and babies. Babies are hardwired to not have high blood sugar, their brains thrive on lower glycemic foods. The best formula I have found is a homemade one using goat’s milk. Mt. Capra offers a kit. I have yet to use it longterm, but it is simple ingredients and probably the closest to breastmilk out there.. I was worried that the sodium was high but I calculated it to be 1 mg more per ounce than regular formula.I hope this helps anyone and welcome any comments that think that I could be missing something. I’ve actually found conflicting glycemic values for brown rice syrup and sugar and am still doing research. Thanks!

PERFECT Nutramigen replacement
Corn syrup in my LO’s formulas had been disgusting me to no end. It’s a ridiculous idea especially with all the obesity issues with children in the US. Nutramigen saved our little one from severe reflux but luckily at 4mos of age, she overcame the severity. Instead we had to deal with the stinky smell of the formula, the spit up, the RUNNY BMs = was it all still necessary? After seriously stalking Baby’s Only formula for the entire 5mos of my LO’s existence – I took the chance and made the switch. I chose Lactose-Free because pre-Nutramigen, Similac Sensitive (lactose-free) seemed to be the only thing she could digest, yet obviously she was spitting it up pretty badly. Doctor supported the selection of this. All I can say is WOW! This stuff mixes up like silk. No clumps. No residue. No funky smell anywhere! Her BMs have gotten solid, that combined with baby food twice a day and half of her bottles are BM (I give her all I can get!). She immediately was drawn to the taste and we are happy to be converted. I’m not giving her the DHA supplement they offer since I’m able to provide BM to her but if I were to dry up, I definitely consider. LOs need DHA until 1yrs old!OH and don’t be discouraged by it being a Toddler Formula. It’s completely suitable for infants. The company endorses breast is best, which it is but for those less fortunate to provide EBF – this is an amazing supplement.I find it’s easier to buy with Prime on Amazon then pay shipping for a few cans on the manufacturer’s website. No plans on buying a case – too much $.OH and wow the cost-savings from switching from Nutramigen! It’s amazing. $15/can versus $24/can.Her babysitter prefers it too!
