Excellent!
I saw this advertised online and was so intrigued. I debated buying this but after doing my research, I am very happy with this purchase. It’s a bit expensive for a speaker, but you will not be sorry. Not only is it beautiful to look at and is exquisitely made, it sounds like a dream. I bought it to use in my office at work rather than stream music through the computer speakers. My only complaint…the USB-C cable that came with it sucks. After carefully unpacking it from the box, I plugged it in and nothing. My heart sank thinking I was sold a defective unit. It then occurred to me to use another USB-C cable (I used the one from my MacBook Pro) and voila! It turned on. I ordered more USB-C cables from Apple to replenish my supply. That was the hardest part. Set up is very easy via the B&O app and it is very easy to use.I stream via AirPlay and Bluetooth using Apple Music and it sounds and works great. No issues.Highly recommend.

Beutiful Design and Awesome Sound (Long Term Use)
If you like a balance between impressive sound and delightful style, this speaker is an incredible choice (if you don’t mind the price).I have several speakers, and this is the only one that respects the finish — it’s real wood! The design is impressive and minimalist, the materials feel really classy and durable, and when you open the box and have it for the first time, quickly you know this is not a simple speaker. You feel the weight of the three speakers, which is heavy (in the world of speakers, this is a good sign). After several high-end speakers and over-ear headphones, I make my research about the “break-in” or “burn-in” of the speakers, and this B&O is not the exception… after 5 or 10 minutes to integrate the B&O speaker in my Google Home ecosystem, the sound… hmmm, I can’t tell you my big deception about the sound of these speakers, after several music and streaming tests, I remember about the break-in of a new speaker, quickly I search in Spotify a Burn-in playlist, this process takes 12 – 24 hours with this type of music, and… guess what!!! After 20 hours of continuous music (playing at 40% to 50% volume), my B&O speakers sound impressive. My wife, who doesn’t feel the difference between a cheap speaker and a professional one, does feel the difference with these speakers. But I have a complaint about the signal quality of these speakers, I have a house with a great WiFi mesh, but in some kind of problem with the signal (in 5ghz) experiment with an intermittent signal fault, I make some changes in the WiFi, and now I force this speaker to work only in 2.4ghz band, and it now works almost perfect, I hope with a new firmware solve this problem.Highly recommended if you want a great sound in your office or small room and fill the space with an incredible sound, the design is an absolute delight, and you can’t imagine the impressive sound of the speaker after you hear it!

Awesome sound! Awesome craftsmanship! Subpar functionality…
With 100 years of history in hi-end audio products you can’t really expect anything less than the most amazing sound in the most amazing package on the market. And it is! The Danish craftsmanship of this real wood and premium materials speaker is just a benchmark in the hi-end portable speaker industry! It just feels and looks so good in every way, from every angle! I would give it 10 stars if I could!Likewise the sound quality, from such an unsuspecting thin box you get amazing waves of depth and clarity that would surpass many floor standing full size speakers! And yet, to be able to enjoy all that beauty and goodness you need to have some basic functionality along with the amazing sound. And here I was quite bewildered once I realized what they did… They offered an amazing sounding speaker that will only play their own radio stations in their app or spotify! What a teaser! You have a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth speaker that connects to your phone but you will not be able to play any content from your phone because we at B&O don’t think you should! You should be more than satisfied with the 12 local stations our app found and kindly offered for you! Tak skal du have herrer Bang & Olufsen! I think you get 1 star for that amazing offer! They also decided to punish you with a lifelong USB cable and power adapter buying, as no other USB C adapter or cable will work to power this speaker! You have to use theirs and theirs only, and if it doesn’t work, the instructions politely tell you go order another one, the cable or adapter, from B&O. Thank you B&O! Another 1 star for the ease with which you can convert a bewildered new customer into a life-long customer!Overall, if what it plays suits you (namely local radio stations and spotify) it will be the most amazing portable speaker in your home collection you will never want to turn off! And if it doesn’t, it will be a wasted opportunity reminder and an eye sore as it will always remind you what it could have been and yet it never will be!

Did not work well when paired via bluetooth to Amazon Echo Show
I have an Amazon Echo Show 15 in my kitchen and we listen to music while making dinner fairly often. The speakers in that are not very good, so I figured if I paired this via bluetooth to the Echo, I’d be able to upgrade it to having better speakers. The setup of the speaker was a little clunky, but it worked well enough. Downloaded the app and stepped through the wizard; at one point it said something along the lines of it lost connection and had to start over, so I started over and it worked fine that tine. I played some audio via the app and it sounded great, this is a very good sounding speaker. I had my hopes really high that this would work well for my Echo.I paired it via bluetooth to the Echo and immediately I started seeing some issues. While the speaker sounded good, I had to set the bluetooth volume on the Echo to 100% and even then, it was not nearly as loud as when I played music via the app or built-in streaming services. So i had to turn the volume up a lot higher in order to hear the Echo at a volume that made sense. Then I quickly realized that if the volume was at 100% on the echo and I could not really use the echo to control the volume “up” because I was already at the max. So I then had to turn the volume up even higher on the speaker and then set the bluetooth to about 50% so that I could actually do volume up/down. I thought I had it working OK until I then decided to use the app to play music again; the thing was absolutely blaring because of how loud I had to have it set to make the echo sound reasonable! I had to panic lower the volume as everybody in my house was going “WHY ARE YOU PLAYING THAT SO LOUD!”.In the end it seems that if I want to use it with my Echo, I can’t use any of the other features of the speaker as there is no way to sort of “equalize” the volumes so where it’ll be a normal volume over bluetooth and streaming music. It is a great sounding speaker, but the bluetooth issue is a bit of a buzzkill for me and really made me unhappy with this speaker overall.

Wonderful sound and impressive technology
If I were to rate this speaker strictly on sound quality it would be 5 stars, no question about it. Bang and Olufsen know their way around sound and they have some exceptional engineers. This is an exceptional speaker for it’s size, and I have not taken it up to half of it’s volume yet, because it is in a fairly small room. In addition to really exceptional sound, there is some very innovative technology. It is a pleasure to use and to listen to.It is full range and then some (extending beyond the limit of human hearing) and each of the 3 drivers are tuned within their individual range. The speaker/ software enables to to change the tone of each along 2 axes, and there is also an equalizer with presets. You are given a pretty broad range of control in terms of tuning. The set up software does room compensation so that it is tailored to your space. The resulting sound is full and rich, and room filling.I have over a dozen blue tooth speakers and some very nice ones but this is undoubtedly the best in terms of sound quality. The reason for my 4 star rating has nothing to do with sound quality, and it even pained me to rate it 4 stars. If I could, I would rate it 4.5 stars. The reason for my 4 star review is that I feel like Bang and Olufsen have made some unfortunate trade offs. It is a streaming player but you can only stream from Apple or Spotify. I am on Amazon music unlimited at the moment. I like the availability of ultra high res. I can not stream from Amazon with this speaker, or from Pandora…. or, anywhere else. It does have blue tooth, and I was happy that I am not forced to stream from my phone which does not sound anywhere near as good as my FIIO, BUT (and this is a big but) it does not have aptx, aptx hd or ldac. Why? It is hard for me to believe that Bang and Oliufsen would sacrifice sound quality to lossy transfers, and while I have commented on other blue chip audio companies not knowing their way around blue tooth sound, that is not the case with B and O. They have been doing blue tooth sound for a long time, and have some other innovative blue tooth products. That said, this was a choice. They absolutely could have used lossless blue tooth codecs but opted not to. They also do not give their customers much freedom/ choice with respect to sources. My husband is a recording artist. If he wanted to hear his own work in high fidelity he would have to subscribe to Spotify or Apple, and not because he does not have high res copies. That’s a little crazy. We have a lot of music, over 1,000 LPs, hundreds of CDs, tapes…. but to listen to them in high fidelity we either have to use another speaker or stream from 1 of 2 services. In addition, there are a lot of privacy issues using it. It took me a long time to set up because I was out in my yard when I downloaded the app. and when I was setting it up I was inside. It found the speaker and connected to wifi, and then I hit next, and it couldn’t find the speaker. I went through this process 3 times before I connected it to the network at the other end of our house, from which we barely get a signal, but B & O grabbed the network as soon as I installed the app, and would not consequently let me connect the speaker to a router a few inches away.I think that if you use Spotify or Apple you will be happy with this speaker. If the former, you probably do not know how much more detailed music is with lossless transfer. {The chain is only as good as its’ weakest link} which brings me back to, why would Bang and Olufsen sacrifice sound quality by not using lossless transfer? They have quite obviously put a lot of thought and energy into the technology, and have created a speaker with really brilliant, innovative, sound enhancing technology. But, you only get high fidelity if you stream from Spotify or Apple. Not if you use your own source, music you have purchased, or, even recorded because you can not do a lossless transfer over blue tooth..All that said, it is a brilliantly engineered speaker, but it can only be enjoyed in certain (specific) ways.and it is “wireless,” but needs to be plugged in (tethered).

A 5 star speaker as expected for this price
I was extremely impressed with it. The speaker is a bit on the expensive side at $800, but it is definitely a premium speakerOne of the things I love most about the Beosound Emerge is the sound quality. It’s simply excellent and the speaker is able to produce a wide range of frequencies with great clarity. The gold tone/light oak finish is also very stylish and adds a touch of sophistication to my home office. The speaker is very easy to set up and connects quickly to my Wi-Fi network. The accompanying app is user-friendly and makes it easy to control the speaker and access various streaming services.Overall, I would highly recommend the Bang & Olufsen Beosound Emerge Wireless Bookshelf Wi-Fi Speaker to anyone looking for a high-quality and stylish speaker. While it’s definitely on the expensive side, the excellent sound quality and sleek design make it a premium speaker

OMG🤯 Amazing Sound
So much and such a small package. The design alone makes it unique and beautiful add to that the incredible sound makes it a 5 🌟 speaker across the board. The only thing I did not care for about this speaker has nothing to do with the speaker, it has to do with the instructions being difficult to follow for even a basic start up.Trying to contact the company for customer support for answers to my questions was equally as hard. What should have taken 30 minutes or less to resolve, took over 3 hours.Still haven’t spoken to anyone from the support they offer. The good news is I figured it out and the speaker is working GREAT.

Excellent speaker for small to medium sized spaces
Beautiful product which is exactly what you would expect from Bang & Olufsen. The sound from such a small speaker is quite amazing and fills even larger sized rooms; perfect for a home office, bedroom, kitchen, etc. Although the Emerge has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, I really appreciate the inclusion of an ethernet port. The only possible negative that anyone who likes tons of bass will find is that there is limiting technology built in which at higher volume and with lots of bass will bring the bass down a bit.Note, before judging the quality of the sound I highly recommend using the app to let the speaker map the room and tune everything for your environment.

Great quality and connectivity
Quality is superb, connectivity is perfect, and it is also suitable for large living rooms as it is very powerful. I never play it with high volume since it is too much for our living room.
