Unfortunately, stuck in fur.
Although this was light and did the job reasonably well, it ultimately is not something i would order again as it got caught in my cat’s fur and was challenging to get out.

Clumps well and the jug is the easiest thing.
I’ve tried out a lot of cat litters in a variety of containers. There are still some others I like, but this is probably my favorite. The jug is easy to store and easy to lift, and easy to pour. It’s a decent size, for litter (I have 3 cats so it doesn’t last real long). It’s fairly lightweight, considering. It clumps SUPER well. Even for my one rogue cat who doesn’t cover up his business… I can still scoop it. (Unlike the walnut litter, which I really liked but did not work with this cat, the clumps would fall apart if not fully covered.)Also, I haven’t noticed it being tracked all over the place. So… it’s my favorite right now.

Packaging woes
The cap on the litter arrived cracked, allowing litter to go everywhere.I had a soggy mess on my hands because the escaped litter combined with fruit juice from a few damaged fruit cup.Hopefully this won’t happen again!I recently switched kitty litter brands to this one. My cats seem to like it, and there’s minimal dust from pouring the litter into the pan.I will have to see what the next delivery of this litter is like. If it spills all over because the lid is damaged, I may have to switch brands.

My cat’s favorite litter…paw’s down.
I own 3 cats and therefore, have 3 large litter boxes that my husband and I have fashioned out of oversized, plastic, covered Sterlite boxes from Target. We cut out a square on each box large enough for them to step through, but high enough off the ground, so as to prevent as much litter from being pushed out by their little paws as possible. Anyway, it works beautifully for any of you cat owners looking for solutions for large, roomy litter boxes. We keep everything in the garage, where they have access through kitty doors, which cuts way down on odor as well. I recently purchased Cat’s Pride Fresh and Light because the litter we were using was so dusty and terrible at odor control, (I believe it was Arm n’ Hammer, but I’m not sure. I was probably buying whatever was on sale at the time.) Right away, I noticed how incredibly light this litter was and how the grains were somewhat larger, which must account for the fact that it is virtually dust free! There is never any dust stirred around while I am scooping this litter. I decided to do a test and put the Cat’s Pride in one box and continue to use the other litter in the other two boxes. Well, my cats LOVE this litter and use the box with the Cat’s Pride litter in it 90% of the time. The other 2 boxes barely get used and probably only when they decide the Cat’s Pride box is too full (even though all 3 boxes are scooped religiously everyday). Bottom line is I will be using this litter and only this litter from now on. And if the my cats’ preference wasn’t enough to sell me, for every purchase, a part of the proceeds goes to the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation to help stop animal cruelty and promote animal welfare. Watch the video underneath the pictures listed.

Great Lightweight Litter with Excellent Value
I recently switched to this brand of cat litter from the lightweight litter at Target. This litter is much better and it’s almost the exact same price! This litter has a mild scent to it. It’s not as strong as some of the Tidy Cats litter, but the Target brand is unscented. This litter does a lot more for odor control than the Target brand and performs on par with Tidy Cats. With the Target brand there is an overwhelming ammonia smell from the urine after only a day or two and the entire batch needs to be thrown out. With this litter it lasts about a week without needing to change it.This litter also clumps much better than the Target brand. It makes it easier to scoop the urine clumps without it disintegrating and spreading around into the rest of the litter. The last thing I love about this litter is the granule size. The size is the same as the Target brand but is much smaller than the Tidy Cats. With the Tidy Cats brand the granules would get stuck in our cats paws and they’d end up tracking them all throughout the house. With this litter, we keep the box inside a washing machine pan which is plenty sufficient to keep the granules from getting all over the place. This litter is really great and much better than any competitor I’ve tried.

I won’t buy it again
I will not buy this litter again, the ability to catch the dough is too poor, all can not form a dough, and the wet sand is very difficult to scoop up, like a brick

I’m diggin’ this litter!
And so are my cats, I have 4 of them. $4.32 for 10lbs can’t be beat, less for Subscribe and Save. No noticeable dust, clumps well, scent is mild, weight is very manageable for an older person. Thank goodness none of my cats are prima donna’s, they all use one big litter box, I scoop it out twice day. Any little grains of litter are going to be tracked, I run a cordless vacuum every few days around my small condo, I’d never go barefoot, tiles are too cold anyway. My dining space is my utility room, has litter box, portable washer and dryer and storage cabinet, sure you smell a fresh poop, but not after it’s buried and they all bury it well. I’m pleased with this litter after trying most others. Delivery was weird, supposed to be 1 day, got emails it was running late, finally got it 5 days later, UPS left a note that I’d have to sign for it, they’d try and deliver it the next day, I wrote a note on their note saying it was ridiculous to has to sign for $5 worth of litter and inconvenient to have to go to a UPS store to pick it up. They left it at my door. I ordered another in between and got it in one day thank goodness as the litter in the box was getting too low. I’ll keep buying this litter.

Great Kitty Litter but Amazon packs 2 to a single box – very heavy to lift especially for elderly
This litter is really good – best I’ve ever used for the money and my elderly cat doesn’t mind using it, as long as I keep it clean. Urine clumps can be huge (depending on the cat), so don’t empty an entire container into one litter box but make sure that when you clean the box you and add a bit of new litter to the litterbox. Makes the entire thing smell better anyway. Love this litter as much as it’s possible to love this kind of stuff.AMAZON issue only: They pack these 2 to a box and they are heavy to the point of often tearing the box apart during shipping. I live in Senior Independent Living apartment and the front desk seems like miles from my room. Only if I get the right front desk person working, or one of the maintenance guys happens to walk do I get somebody to help me lift it. Our regular front dress staff isn’t very nice. What doesn’t help is that the box is starting fall apart anyway because it’s overloaded. I then have to take the box apart with scissors and put them in my cart, along with my oxygen canister. It’s actually the best method other than I then have to take the empty box to our outgoing trash place which is quite a distance. On top of the two big cannisters it’s not uncommon for some avid amazon work is able to sneak in a couple more items into the box. One of these items are likely to fall out due to how much damage to the box that happened during shipping or after being crushed by a UPS worker.

Love This But Received Different Quality
I’ve used this for the past few years and like it. Cat does too. However, the bottle I received in February was much light color and weight sand and it worked Wonderfully. So I ordered another bottle and we’re back to the dark colored sand that doesn’t clump as nicely as the surprise bottle of sand. Wonder what happened there?

It’s a nice smell & easy to scoop. Except
Better then the typical clumping clay little. Not as heavy. I use the crystal also in one little box but wanted to try something different to see if they are just clawing it out & all over bc it was light weight or too full in the box or too picky to make sure it’s all covered? I guess since the 5 of them don’t talk I’ll have to keep experimenting.Turns out I’m dumping & scrubbing this litter box twice a week since even scooping it twice a day I’m realizing after a few days I can smell a smell I don’t want to smell!

Great price and good quality litter. We have two cats and automatic litter box. The litter is good enough for our cats. No ammonia scent detected. It does clump though. Heavy big clump. Need to scrape it off bottom of litter box to get rake to do its cleaning.

Pleasantly surprised
I was skeptical of this stuff. I usually have to get 40lb bags of litter that clumps in huge masses, so I go through it like crazy. I’ve had 3 spine surgeries, and so, I always dread when the litter is delivered and I have to pack it around. This stuff is so light weight and the pee clumps aren’t football sized chunks. It also tracks less than the clay based litter, because that clay gets on their paw fur and goes absolutely everywhere. Since the clumps are small, one container lasted a couple of weeks, or maybe almost 3 (which is about how long the 40lb clay litter lasts), which was a surprise. The cat doesn’t seem to care, so I’m sticking with this brand so that my spine doesn’t explode.

Not as good as the total odor control version
Decided to try this one out because it’s slightly less expensive, and it has a strange rubbery smell to it? Doesn’t seem to cover the smell very well, but works as expected otherwise. Will be switching back to the total odor control.

Manufacturer accidentally put the unscented version in fresh scented container.
I normally absolutely love the fresh scented version of this litter! One container will last me a month! And there’s never any odor! The clumps stay tight and don’t break apart.I have tried the unscented version and it does not cover up the urine smell, it does not clump very well, it’s full of dust, and it’s just plain awful. The only way you can visually tell the difference is the unscented is a lot darker than the fresh scented. The manufacturer is accidentally putting the unscented product in the fresh scented container. I got one of them. I actually contacted the manufacturer to let them know. Just because I love this litter so much! Hopefully it gets fixed soon. Because the unscented litter that I got by mistake in the fresh scented container has lasted a week and a half. And I’ve had to just dump the whole litter box. What a waste.

If you’re like me & thinking about switching litters….. DONT.;
If you’re like me & thinking about switching litters….. DON’T!! Especially not to this brand here.I’ve used every litter that’s out here available for sale. I usually order it off the Chewy app and usually order Fresh Step because that’s what has always worked for us and our cats for years.I don’t know why I got a wild hair up my sleeve to even switch up their litter, but I did, and I ended up ordering this kind here – Cats Pride, or whatever the name is.I read almost every single review there is posted about the litter and everybody is just like “in awe” of this litter, like it’s good or something. So I figured it must be some awesome and spectacular litter like we’ve done never had before!!!Boy was I wrong and these people reviewing the litter must’ve been paid or something for their falsely review.Let me be honest and just give you some truth about this litter here…. Alright?First, it says fresh scent, but there’s no fresh about this litter scent. It smells exactly like the plastic container it comes in. Like plastic. No fresh smell, no flower smell, nada!Ok second, clay litter? This is more like sand. It’s so fine and powdery like.Third, in my opinion also, it doesn’t clump so well and as well as the other brand of litter that we’ve been using for years. And I think that happens because the litter itself is so fine and sandy like.I had to buy 3 of these green bottles because one bottle only comes with enough sand (litter) to barely cover the bottom of the litter box. You’re supposed to have 1 litter box per cat inside your home – therefore, we have 2 litter boxes, and even though I did purchase 3 of these green litter bottles (whatever you want to call them?), it still did not fill up both of the litter boxes that we have.Maybe that’s why they make this litter so fine and sandy?? Is because they know that you won’t get much in only buying 1 green bottle…. So they keep the litter fine and sandy so buyers will have to buy more – more – more. Who knows. But when the litter has been used enough and it’s time to dump out the boxes completely and fill them back up with fresh new litter, it will not be with this kind here. Lesson learned.I hope my honest review helps you out in making your own decision. 😸

Easiest litter I’ve ever had to clean
This litter is lightweight. Which I absolutely appreciate. It has very minimal dust Factor. It doesn’t have any of the dangerous crap in it that you really shouldn’t allow your cat near ( always really check for that. If your cats peeing outside of its litter box there’s a problem with your litter. Or you put it in the main traffic area and freaked your cat out. One of those.)Best part? Super easy to clean out your litter box even if you only have time to do it every couple of days. The clumps don’t break apart. And the wet litter really clumps.Did I mention it was lightweight? Normally toting that much litter is like a workout. I could not believe how late this was the first time I used it. So this is my second order. My cat took to it right away without having to mix the old Litter with it.TIP: like with any other litter if you don’t want to have to scrape concrete off the bottom of your litter box, or at least what seems like concrete, fill it up. Make sure you’ve got four or five inches of litter in there. Although this hasn’t happened with this particular brand, I thought I would throw this tip in there because a lot of people like to skimp on litter and then complain about how hard it is to clean the litter box.Dust: yup. Like with any small grains litter, there’s going to be dust. Don’t dump it from a high level above the litter Box. And it’s best to use a high-sided litter box at the very minimum. Using a high-sided, or covered litter box , will eliminate dust problems when the Cat uses it. But this is true for almost all small grained litter. Especially the kind that doesn’t have harmful chemicals in it.Just BUY it. Your cat will thank you. Your arms will thank you every time you pick box litter up. And the time it takes to clean the litter box becomes minimal. Oh, and the price is pretty good too!

Why I wish I had known about this brand!
I’ve been that person who has used all of the popular brands and still super strong ammonia fumes from my cat’s litter box. My cat tends to pee in the same spot and instead of allowing the litter to properly clump in a way that would send him to a different part of the box he would keep it would be one soft giant clump of melted clay of urine stuck to the box. Now let me tell you I purchased a new sifting litter box and attempting to use the clump and seal with him completely backfired. He doesn’t like to also cover his waste…so just imagine how he could funk up my house in an instant! After cleaning the box, I added this litter and knew I was off to a good start, with no dust clouds on my face and no perfume smell. This morning he had urinated in the box and it was a perfect clump and slid out with no problems. The best thing was no Ammonia Order which usually happens right after he goes…Thank You Lordt!!!!

Better than the Expensive Crystals
My husband ordered this on a whim because our cats were starting to dislike the expensive crystal litter. I was surprised at how fine the lightweight litter was and how much better it clumped than other brands. . It is truthfully a no-odor, long lasting litter. Absolutely no odor. This is an excellent product that we will continue to purchase.

Ineffective Odor-control
PROs• It clumps well and is easy to scoop, and I definitely like that it is overall a lighter-weight.I really, really wanted to like this brand, BUT…CONs• It is no where near as effective at odor-control as other brands we’ve used. Even scooping 2x daily as we do, my entire started to smell like a cat box after just a few days using this.• It is certainly not dust-free. My opinion: All the manufacturers mislead with this, don’t they? Just a guess here, but maybe 99% of each individual granule is dust-free, because *collectively*, that 1% sure seems to make a lot of dust.

Tops in odor control, dust and tracking
I’ve had several cats over my life, and Cat’s Pride Fresh and Light is the very best litter that I’ve bought and that my cats have used. I have also purchased most of the other kinds of litter and this one, by far, clumps better. The picture above shows a couple of clumps that have been in the box for up to 24 hours. They are “rock hard” and don’t fall apart when I scoop them (if the clump is more “fresh”, it might separate some, but not like other kinds of litter that have completely disintegrated for me). Also note that my cat oftentimes will “go” near the side of the box. Those clumps don’t break apart easily either, like I’ve had others do.Another other good thing about Cat’s Pride Fresh and Light is the small amount that’s tracked outside of the litter box. I have the box in my small bathroom, and used to walk into a spattering of litter all the time, even with a good mat in front of the box’s entrance. Now there is much less…which is great on bare feet. I’m not sure if it’s because of the fact that it’s lighter, or that the individual grains are smaller than usual (they are more like grains of pure cane sugar or fine sea salt). I also don’t find many these grains in other places… like my bedsheets.I’ve also found that this litter doesn’t create alot of dust (both when pouring it or over time). As I’ve already stated, the litter box is in my VERY small bathroom, just in front of the vanity. To see the results, I’ve let it go up to 5-7 days until I wipe the top of the vanity. After that time, there really isn’t a large build-up of dust, especially factoring in that there’s also just regular household dust mixed in.The last very important factor I have considered is the ability of this litter to control odor. So far, it has done a superb job in this aspect. I personally have not smelled any offensive odor, nor have any of my visitors (I have asked a couple of close friends and family what they think).I 100% recommend that you try this product. I’m glad I did.

Bit dusty, but works well with my automatic.
This litter is the second I’ve tried since becoming a cat owner and it’s pretty good so far. It definitely shines in absorbency and odor control, which means it works great in my automatic litter box. Her pee disks are hard and clumped by the time the timer runs and don’t often break apart, and I don’t smell poop except for right after she goes.It starts to lose efficiency the older the litter gets, so clumps start breaking more easily and that’s how you know to change it. I add arm and hammer deodorizer to the litter just for an extra oomph but it does pretty well on its own.Biggest issue is how dusty this litter is. I have a sphynx so it makes her a little grey and sometimes sneezy. If I find another one with less dust I’ll switch but it’s not pressing, I like cats pride.

Could not be any happier with this litter
As an avid cat lover I have spent a lot of my life scooping my 6 litter boxes. I used to swear by and only buy fresh step due to its ability to cover ammonia odors. That being said I now only use and swear by cats pride. I’m not sure why there is some reviews saying it doesn’t clump well because I can’t say enough about how well it clumps and stays together. Using fesh step I always hated how much dust it created and how often I had to wipe everything down so it didn’t smell like cat litter and have dust all over. However I have not had a problem with dust or anything smelling like litter with cats pride. I will say I do scoop my litter boxes once a day but if I skip a day it’s not terrible. The smell is very subtle and lite which I love. I also have a diabetic cat who pees very large puddles always in the corner of the litter box which when using fresh step was always a problem but I just shake the box and away from the sides it comes using cats pride. This may seem like a paid endorsement but it most definitely is not. I would also like to add it seems like I have to fill the litter boxes with less of this litter then other litters. It is pretty fine litter but I have litter mats outside of the boxes to catch any litter that may escape and it saves it from being all over the house. Thanks cats pride for making a quality cat litter.
