It’s great but…
Somethings in the case do not always stay attached to the case. They are free to disconnect and float freely in the case. It makes opening the case when you need it a “Quick grab it! Where did it go?” moment. Also, closing the case is challenging because things want to fall out and block the seal.

Very nice toolkit
Though this is a very nice toolking, its not a complete kit and you most definitely will need to get another kt or two to complete every day tasks…This kit has mostly sockets… Not enough spanners however.. Lots of lil bits n pieces that you may find useful at some point are in it. Tools seem very durable and the case is easy to cary and i love the fact that it has latches on the sides as well as the top.No doubt i would encourage someone to buy this but you have to be mindful of the areas in which you will mainly work.I purchased two sepereate wrench sets because of few areas i know i would be working.as for big sockets, such as 28mm and so forth…. you will def need a different kit or purchase those seperately.Overal i am very satisfied with it though it lacks spanners……there are these sized socket wrenches in there and i wish there were an adapter in it that allowed you to use middle size wrench with the bigger drive sockets

A DeWalt set that will last (not impact rated)
First of all, thanks DeWalt/Amazon for moving the impact drivers and power drills out of this grouping on Amazon so that it is not as confusing. All of the reviews now that mention the drills, however, are now not worth anything so the reviews are not off. Oh well. This DeWalt tool set seems to be well built, with quality pieces, unlike the Allen Wrench socket set that I had previously whose case fell apart and is currently being held together with duct tape.CONS:-The toolset is pretty heavy, but a general rule of thumb is that quality and weight usually run harmoniously with each-other, so this is not a big deal.-It does not have the attachment adapter for a drill or impact driver for the largest sockets, but it does come with an adaptor for the smaller two sizes.-They are not impact rated, but I think that they will hold up for a battery-powered impact driver (I use a Greenworks 24V impact driver, I will include a link for my review of this product from Amazon.)PROS:-It has a very good, solid, well-built case that should last a lot longer than our Allen Wrench socket set, whose case fell apart. The case is made with a premium composite plastic material that looks and feels durable.-The hinges and latches are well made and should last a long time.-All of the tools are made professionally and nothing seems like it was poorly engineered.-All of the sockets, wrenches, and ratchets are well built.-lifetime guarantee with free replacement which is a perk.Time will tell and I will update my review if something goes wrong, but these products work very well and I am not ashamed to have them in my toolbox. The Pros outweighted the Cons and the only way that I would not recommend this would be if you work repeatedly with high-powered air-powered impact guns. Decent toolkit
Stays in my truck but more often than not it gets taken out to fix tractors and equipment on my grandpa’s farm. Easier than hauling up a truckload of tools or use his old rusty tools when something breaks. Just did a water pump and radiator on his John Deere 2750 and 90 percent of the work was done with this toolkit. Worked great.Nice 6 point sockets. Ratchets work well. Useful extension lengths. Long wrenches. It comes with a foam insert in the middle of the case between each side of the case. Still not sure if that is meant to be trashed but I set it back in there anyway. Until it blows away that is. None of the tools on the top case ever fall out. People must be opening it wrong. The only problems I’ve had is small 1/4 drive sockets in the bottom left near the handle such as 1/4, 5/32, sometimes fall out into other spaces. You can see this in some of other reviewers photos of the set. Other than that none of the sockets have moved on me.

They’re alright. Quality is on par with other name brand tools such as Craftsman, Kobalt, and Husky. Plug in whatever store-bought name brand, it’s all the same IMO.And, like those other brands, the case could use some improvement. The smaller sockets in the bottom vibrate out of their spot (I keep these in the car), and sometimes the sockets in the top fall out. I’m just gonna glue some magnets in the lid, behind the row of sockets.There’s no “empty space” for tools that aren’t included, so a handful of extra 10mm sockets is out of the question.My only real complaint about the tools is the ratchets don’t have a quick release. I may buy some others and keep the included ratchets for spares/backups.Watch the price. The 205pc set cost $132 when I added it to my wishlist, when I ordered it later THAT DAY it was $144, and before they were delivered, they were $128.

Loved it till I needed a 12mm combination wrench!
So I wanted a set of tools all organized that had everything I needed to work on my toyota truck because I was tired of having to sift through all of my tools in my tool box. The tools themselves are all solid as DEWALT tools always are. So far nothing has broken on me after a year of wrenching on my truck. The ratchets all have great smooth action and have no complaints on that. My only complaint that I have ran into a few times now that is annoying me more and more is that there is no 12mm combination wrench. Working on toyotas means you need that 12mm a lot of times. I have needed to go sift through my toolbox again to get that 12mm I need which is also too big to just add to the set. Super annoying and why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. I might go down to 3 as this issue is such an annoyance. Why would you have 247 pieces to a set and yet not have a 12mm combination wrench? DEWALT gets a C in this department and should fire whoever organized this set. I have not needed an 11mm at all but hey it’s in there. I wish I could send it back but I didn’t run into the issue untill about a month and a half into my purchase so my return window had passed.

Fantastic Product !!
Very nice set – you can feel the quality in every piece. It’s odd that there is no 12mm Combination Wrench, but no complaints other than that, I am VERY HAPPY with this product. Very well made, and here’s an important point: The case holds the sockets in place – mostly. If you accidentally kick it in the garage (which happens from time to time), parts won’t go flying. My old socket set was notorious for that.

Very Comprehensive Set
I bought this to replace my old craftsman set that was missing a lot of pieces. It has everything you need to do most anything. My favorite part is each piece locks in, so nothing is ever out of place. I’ve really put this set through it’s paces, and it has really held up to some pretty extreme abuse. Some minor issues, good set overall
The set is really good and has lasted me a bunch of jobs. The few issues I have with it are the case and the screwdriver. The case can be finicky sometimes, and the sockets will fall out of their place, but it’s typically just a few of the larger deep sockets. The screwdriver is kinda a pain though, bc the bits wouldn’t go in it, so I’d have to use the 1/4 in Drive socket with a 1/4 in bit. Great durability and easy to use.

What a pleasant surprise! The pictures don’t do these DeWalt tools justice. These are good quality and sturdy tools. You always see the pictures in the ads and expect the item received is going to be smaller. At least that what I expected for some reason. That’s not the case here. And yes, the case that it comes in is also a good quality, sturdy case. I wasn’t disappointed for the price($115+), quality and name.

Be carefull
Good tools, this set comes with sprark plug sockets ideal for most engines. I have had this set for three years without problems, slight issue when the ratchet got stuck. But with enough pressure it would work normally again. Until last week, all off a sudden the lever broke off when I pulled it down. Not sure if lifetime warranty would count for this, after 3 years.

Loose pieces not problem
I recently received my new Dewalt tool set, I am not a pro mechanic but I do many misc projects and this set seems perfect for me. It is too soon for me to give a rating on Durability or Value for the money, I will follow up on on a later date. For now though I read reviews that complain of loose parts coming out of position during transport with the case closed, the first time I opened the case there were a couple sockets floating around. I’m sure many others have solved that issue but for me I simply cut a piece of cardboard that matches the foam pad that come with the set, I glued the pad to the cardboard and that took care of the loose parts problem.

awesome set / suggestion
Awesome mechanical set. showing my age- wish the engraved numbers were larger.suggestion- keep the foam that is packaged inside the case and then cut the dewalt cardboard that its comes wrapped in. Tape them together and leave inside the case. this will prevent all the sockets from falling when you open and close the case.

So close to being aweome
Gogeous set of tools, much larger than I thought it would be.Biggest let down is the about 12 of the smaller rachets and the bits for the screw driver fall out every time you open the case. This is a great way to lose tools and it’s a hassle.If anyone has reccommendation on how to solve this, I would be happy to try, but I may return it becauase of this.

Solid Set Case is Problematic but overall a good buy
The actual tools and sockets are solid and good quality, However the case they come in is terrible. Every time you open it Sockets fly around everywhere and I have some missing pieces since I opened it one time. When I opened for the first-time sockets were everywhere, so take care to open it with the Dewalt logo facing up.Update: I am overall pretty happy With this set.

Decent for the money
I really haven’t use them that much but what little bit I have used seem to be OK. But they will not stay in place when you carry them. I had to cut a piece of cardboard and put in top with the sponge to take up space so the sockets would not fall out.

It’s a good set but the ratchet jammed on me. The case is helpful and it has everything I need. Not too much, not too little. I’ve never had a ratchet jam like this on me. Gonna have to send it in on warranty.

Know this before ordering
Seems like decent quality. No as good as American made tools. One thing that makes no sense to me. there is a 14mm open end box wrench, a 13mm, an 11mm, a 10mm. But no 12mm? Odd. I work on Toyotas. they are either 10, 12, 14,16. Excluding the 12mm is just dumb.

If your a mechanic for any vehicle this is the set to get.
I myself am a diesel mechanic and got this to do the easy things or jobs that require a deep weld or a short weld for tight spaces it helps with replacing an engine mount on a Peterbilt with the very tight spots you need to get to and the 72 teeth on the rachet makes it so much easier with moving only centimeters at a time haven’t struggled with this set and is worth the money hoping to make this last for years.

Simply the best Mechanics Tool set available for $100. Buy ’em now!
I bought a new project car (BMW E30) and decided to treat myself to a new set of tools and hopefully the last set I’ll ever need to buy.DeWalt has a reputation for making long lasting hand tools and back it up with the lifetime guarantee. I can’t imagine ever needing to replace these tools but it’s reassuring to know I’m covered.The spanners offset head design is great with tight tolerances – This reduces chances of rounding off bolts and makes them narrow enough for those hard to get to places. The shafts have a subtle ergonomic shape along the length that prevents slippage. It looks dead straight but has very slight ridges for your fingers. You wouldn’t pick it in the photos but the end result is that they feel good in your hands during use. You’ll understand when you hold them.The engraving on the tools is easy to read and the etching gives good tactile response. Only one of my spanners had a small divot out of it’s head (see picture) and probably shouldn’t have slipped through quality control. I’ll contact DeWalt to see about replacing it. Otherwise the chrome finish is exceptional.I have put a number of the sockets to use already and they performed well. The ratchets have a nice firm ‘click’ during operation. The width of the handles is just right too, they feel solid & durable.The case is laid out well and holds all the pieces firmly in place – Mine turned up with just one set of Alan keys loose after international shipping. The buckles are metal and the case feels like it could stand up to a lot of punishment.To sum it up – This tool set is filled with just about everything the home mechanic could need without a bunch of unnecessary filler items. A great selection of useful empirical & metric pieces in a quality case. You’d be hard pressed to find a better set for the money. You’d really need to step up to Snap-On (or equivalent $) for a better tool. These are fraction of the price and amazing value for the quality.FYI – the case does not come with the colour coded numbering. I added that with a couple of paint pens, it improves visibility at a glance and gave my OCD something to do for a couple of hours.
