    Excellent Low Profile Typing Experience

For me it has been difficult to find a low profile mechanical keyboard that gives me the same experience or similar typing experience as with a normal profile keyboard. This has been one of the first to meet my expectations in this regard. Typing experience is fantastic, keycaps feel nearly like a standard PBT keycap. RGB is fantastic, RGB edge lighting is a nice touch without being obnoxious.Keyboard has a really solid feel to it, no flex. I believe it has a metal top plate or all but a small portion on the underside is metal. Also very happy that keyboard has built in dongle storage, built in 2 position feet to change the typing angle. Also has power switch (also metal) on the side of the keyboard which is very accessible vs the bottom. Also has 4 rubber pads on the bottom side to prevent it from sliding around on your desk while in use.Typing experience is really pretty impressive for me for a low profile keyboard. I find I can type very fast with really good accuracy on this keyboard much like on some of the more expensive keyboards I own. I have several low profile keyboards, including some of the expensive brands and none come close to the typing experience I have with this keyboard.PBT keycaps feel very nice and are shine through as well which I don’t have to have but prefer with all black keycaps. Legends are crisp with a nice font. Sound profile is really good, does not sound hollow and switches and stabilizers don’t rattle or ping. Keycaps are very stable and don’t wobble. Love the switches, not sure if that is the difference as compared to other low profile boards that have not stacked up but they are super smooth and fast.Personally, I would highly recommend this keyboard. I have spent a lot more and been less satisfied as I have been with this keyboard. To look at it in photos does not do it the justice it deserves in my opinion, holding it in your hands it becomes obvious that it’s not a cheaply made keyboard but rather much higher quality than you might expect.

    Extremely Well Made

From the second you pick up this keyboard you can tell it’s well made, It has quite the weighty solid feel to it! The base is a big slab of metal and it has feet to raise up the back to angle it.This is my first compact keyboard and whilst I do miss the keypad and other keys there are just times I want something small and handy and this keyboard is perfect. The keycaps are nice and smooth with very clear legends. Switches feel nice and it don’t make much noise as mechanical keyboards go. It also has a nice low profile which I like a lot.The lighting is absolutely top notch with a bunch of patterns and effects to choose from or just a single color across the whole keyboard. Brightness is adjustable as is the speed of any of the patterns. All of these are selectable using the Fn key in combination with other keys.Charging is via USB-C and a nice USB-A to USB-C cable is provided. This keyboard can also be used as a wired keyboard using this cable.Connectivity is excellent a dongle is provided which clips into the underside of the keyboard if you aren’t using it. It can also connect to up to 3 Bluetooth devices and all of which are easily selectable using keys on the keyboard (Fn + Q, W or E).The manual is a single page but very clear quick guide. This really is all you need as it’s so simple to use.Battery level is available using the key combination Fn + Backspace and shows the battery level by lighting up the number keys accordingly. Low battery is also indicated by the Fn key flashing in red.I have a nice Ducky brand wired keyboard and I like this one just as much. The fact it is so small and wireless also opens up a lot more possibilities too. I like this keyboard a lot.

    Great sounding stock keyboard

This board is a pretty great budget board for anyone looking to get their first board. Budget boards have recently come really far and the quality of them has taken huge leaps. This board specifically (the Durgod tgk 300) is great out of the box. The body sounds pretty solid and not very hollow sounding at all. I was prepared to do some cheap mods like the tape mod to it but actually I was actually pretty happy with how it sounded stock. It comes stock with kailh box reds and lubed stabilizers, 2 details that show that they actually care a bit about how the stock product experience would be.The only 2 issues I have with this board is that the space bar is a bit pingy on the rebound, so pressing it is fine but when it comes back up is where you can hear the ping and could probably be fixed with a few mods if you wanted. The other issue I have was that the rgb lights on the side forget their settings whenever the board is unplugged or turned off. Meaning whenever I shutdown my computer it defaulted back to rainbow. This board is pretty good and a great deal for the sub $100 range. It’s a little clacky and doesn’t thock but stock its great and could probably get alot better with some mods too. Overall I give it a 10/10, its a board that I enjoy typing on every day and among my 20 other budget boards, it’s definitely up there.

High quality keyboard at a decent price

I’m a writer by trade and I’ve known about mechanical keyboards for awhile now. They’re most commonly used for gaming but they’re equally as useful for high volume typing. Since I travel a lot and work on the road the trend toward ‘60% keyboards’ that dispense with the keypad has been great. They’re much more compact and that means they’re easier to carry. This is my first experience with this brand but it impressed me with its quality and functionality at the price point. Most of the ‘name brand’ mechanical keyboards are significantly more expensive. While I’m not a serious gamer and thus can’t vouch for this item’s performance in that realm it works very well for writing. The red key switches are really fun to type with–they offer a nice tactile feedback but have very short (0.3mm) actuation. Switches are largely a function of personal preference/personal typing style but this switch fits my style perfectly. The keyboard also has several connection methods–Bluetooth/2.4G wireless/USB-C. Personally, I’ve never liked Bluetooth connected keyboards. Maybe it’s just me, but it sure seems like there’s a bit more latency that you don’t get with other methods. When I travel, I usually connect with the USB-C cable. If you’re in a hotel or airport there’s plenty of wifi/Bluetooth traffic and in that environment there seems to be value in just using the old fashioned wire connection. The RGB lights might not be a ‘necessity’ but I sure enjoy them. This keyboard gives you the best of both worlds–with the lights off it looks downright utilitarian but you’ve got all of the color and effects options if you want them. Very solid keyboard for the price point. Recommended!

Very solid gaming keyboard, lots of RGB

The media could not be loaded.

This is a very nice keyboard with linear Red switches instead of the clicky Blue or Brown switches. I typically like get Blue and Brown switches because of the click they give off, plus the mechanical bottoming sound when the keys are fully pressed and released. So the only sounds these Red Switches give off is at the bottom of the key strike. Exactly what one wants out of Red switches plus the earlier actuation speed. This keyboard has a very solid weight and build to it, plus, a magnetic wrist rest that snaps into place. The keyboard comes with two tools: one for pulling the keycaps and the other for pulling the switches if one needs replacing or for adding new switches and keycaps down the road for extra flair. It also comes with a detachable cable for connecting to the PC. That is always a nice feature if one wants to switch out to a longer cable or if the cable should end up damaged. What was equally impressive was the sheer amount of RGB settings this keyboard came with. Some where between 21 and 25 different RGB lighting schemes with the ability to program in your own RGB lighting schemes. Really?? Haven’t seen that on a keyboard before. And it’s just not a gaming keyboard if it doesn’t come with all the RGB lights. Joke aside, this is a very nice keyboard worthy of competing with many of the name brand gaming keyboards on the market today. Worth a pick up if the price is competitive against one of those name brand companies you might be searching for. 5 stars.

    Excellent low-profile mech TKL

I’ve been pretty excited by all the new low-profile mechanical boards hitting the market. I prefer the thin form-factor for travel and setups where I don’t have easy-access to a wrist pad. This board does just about everything you could ask for and it’s built solid, while still being a very shallow profile. The linear keys respond well and typing on it is very comfortable, even with your wrists on the desk surface. It’s small enough to slip in a bag and provides the thin aesthetic many people appreciate. The shine-through is nice and having hot swappable keys is an awesome feature, especially considering the relative new-ness of the low profile switches. I’m very happy with this board and would highly recommend it if you’re looking for something a bit more wrist-friendly or easy to transport.

For the price, this is actually a great keyboard

At 66 bucks, I don’t see many keyboards that have dedicated media control. They did a pretty good job with the stabilizers on this one, just an overlubed left shift key and the space bar isn’t balanced, but for 66 bucks, that they lubed the stabilzers pretty well is pretty good. This keyboard is indeed hotswap, so for modding or making it custom, this keyboard would be a pretty decent option to make custom. For lightning modes, they packed alot of different things in here. If you like static light on certain keys they have a bunch of options. Many different color arrays. I’m not a big fan of RGB, but I was impressed with the built in lighting options. the side RGB is a nice touch. After reading the manual, you can create “custom backlight effect”, but you can just choose what keys have what color, up to 6 presets. Usually not an option you see when there’s no app made for the keyboard which is another impressive part to this. The switches in this keyboard are nothing amazing but they are linear and quieter than tactile and clicky switches. You’re paying for what you get in this situation. In conclusion, this is a pretty good budget keyboard for those that don’t want to throw their wallets in the drain if you’re looking for something with dedicated media controls. Do keep in mind, this is a wired keyboard. I know a good amount of people do not like seeing cables, but if you’re trying to keep cost down, then leaving 2.4GHz and Bluetooth out is a good choice.

    Good experience typing

The keyboard appears to be of excellent quality and durability. It utilizes Low Profile Mechanical RED Keyswitches, which offer the same level of flexibility and comfort as the red axis, but with an incredibly short 0.3mm actuation distance and a tactile bump for a more responsive gaming and typing experience. This helps reduce fatigue and increase productivity, making it an ideal choice for both work and play. Although lacking in advanced features, this straightforward keyboard provides an exceptional typing and gaming experience at an affordable price.

    Fantastic

This is a great mechanical keyboard that really hits all of the notes very well. The fact that it’s low profile puts it in a niche where there aren’t so many options. But they went above and beyond with this, and this thing is fantastic.Pros:Lighting is excellentThe key caps are solid and the shine through is great. Very visible.PTB caps have a good feeling texture.Mechanical switches have a great tactical field despite their short travel. No issues connecting and reconnecting with android iOS PC and Macintosh devices.Good battery lifeKeyboard has a great fit and finish and feels extremely solid. There is nothing cheap about thisPerformance is excellent with no glitches, bad switches, and typing is extremely responsiveHot-swappableTri-connect optionsVery compact and easily stowedLooks fantasticCons:The only thing I can think of is that the switches could use a little bit of lubricationKeyboard looks ridiculously gigantic in the picture. Those must be infant handsVery impressive keyboard at its price point.

    Awesome, compact, low profile keyboard!

This is my “work and play” keyboard. I use my gaming PC for video editing and occasional office work. The compact nature of this keyboard is awesome; I move it between two computers (one connected via USB dongle, one via Bluetooth). The overall construction is solid… no flexing, creaks, etc.The low profile red switches are great for my use case. I’m not a heavy gamer, so I don’t mind any shortcomings. The keys are very responsive and the clicks are distinctive. The RGB lights add extra level of “fun”. Overall, I’m very happy with this keyboard!

    Good quality

My young-adult kids are mechanical keyboard gurus. I am not, but I’ve wanted one for a while. I really like the feel of the travel of the keys. I’d expected them to be stiffer, but they’re comfortable. I am adjusting to the placement of the backspace key, as this is my first 60% keyboard and I keep pressing =. The keyboard feels nice and solid. Setup was easy (at least with the cable and the 2.4 plugin – my MacBook wouldn’t find it via bluetooth). The instructions are clear. I felt like this was a good value. I’ve spent more than this on cheaper-feeling keyboards for work. The kids seemed to agree that this was a good choice.

Amazing Keyboard with great RGB modes

First off, the keyboard FEELS perfect. Keys are soft and yield well. Size is great. Second, the controls and RGB modes are awesome. So many ways to customize your lights! I really like the one that makes a ripple of colors out of whatever key you press. This is a great mechanical gaming keyboard that I would say rivals the big names, but for a much better price. I do not see any issues with this keyboard, I say go for it if you want a high-quality mechanical keyboard for your setup.

    Slim Design and Good Feel

I have only had this keyboard for a couple of days but at this point I am very satisfied. The switches have a very positive feel and the weight is perfect. This spends part of it’s workday on my lap and part on my small desk.I like the backlighting and that the switches are replaceable as well as the key caps. There are varied bluetooth and wireless options included as well as a USB charging cable. This arrived in a nice display retail box and presents well if given as a gift. Recommended high quality product and I recommend it.

Keys can be easily taken off if needed of cleaning.Cons: N/AOverall: If you are looking for a portable keyboards for gaming purposes. This is a good one as the response time seems adequate. Literally made my entire family smile!

This is one of those rare moments when you love a product so much, you hand it to someone else, they get a big smile on their face, and they don’t want to give it back! It’s fun when a family can fight over who gets to keep the keyboard. (Don’t worry, this company will sell you more than one!)I had just finished reviewing a sub par product, and felt really bad. Just…you really hate to write a bad review about a bad product, and the universe decided to send me the ultimate palate cleanser: this keyboard.First off, the packaging rivals Apple’s packaging. It looks nice, it feels nice, and things open up so nicely. the keyboard was thoughtfully packaged in that soft silky thin plastic, and the box came with a pair of tools – I think for removing the removable key caps. I looked at those tools said “neat!” and tossed them back in the box. (This keyboard is perfect as it is, so it’ll be awhile before I start to explore keyboard customization on this one.)Once I had the keyboard out of the box, and before I even took it out of the plastic, I could tell something was very right about this product. If I could choose one word to describe this 60% keyboard, it would be: ultimate. Granted, this is not a full-size (100%) keyboard, but these two keyboard designs have two very different purposes. The 60% keyboard is small and portable. Limited size, but certainly not limited functionality. True, you aren’t going to get a 10-key keypad on any 60% keyboard, but plenty of companies sell stand-alone 10-key units that you could absolutely have both of these on your desk, and arrange them however you’d like.Speaking of desks, this fits perfectly on a regular desk, a lap desk, your lap, the floor. You name it, this keyboard will fit in that space – and look beautiful doing it.Do you want to use this as a wired keyboard? Bam! It comes with a 6′, high-quality USB-C to USB-A cable. I was shocked that they went out and sourced a fantastic USB-C cable to match their fantastic keyboard. It’s heavy duty and it means business. Anything less would have been a letdown.Inside the box, it also came with a Quick Guide, which I wish they had printed on two sides, because some of the keys’ alternate functions aren’t obvious at first glance. A manual (printed or online) that explained each icon would have been nice. I feel like DURGOD should have comprehensive PDF manuals on their web-site for each keyboard. Also, on the included Quick Guide, the 2.4G function says “FN+” without any key, so I’m not 100% sure which key actually switches it into the 2.4G mode. It’s clearly just a typo/misprint, but that’s where an on-line PDF manual would have been nice. Once I get done writing this review, I’m going to pop on over to the Amazon technical support and ask the seller directly if there’s a PDF manual somewhere, or if they can just tell me how to enable the 2.4G dongle mode. I feel confident that their customer service will be equal to the product, accessories and packaging. (This keyboard exudes happiness and hope.)So, because I couldn’t (yet) figure out the 2.4G dongle mode, I tried wired and Bluetooth – they both worked great! This thing has three Bluetooth pairing modes, so you can pair this up to three devices and switch between them with a single hotkey? So thoughtful, so cool. None of my wireless products do this. Someone put a lot of thought into the design of this product.I love the fact that it comes with a charging cable that you can also use to turn this into a wired keyboard! Wired keyboards are great for getting into things like BIOS settings (which you generally can’t do with the Bluetooth side of things) and are way more reliable than 2.4G dongles (which tend to experience interference due to the congestion of the frequency band). Overall, I’m super happy that this keyboard gives you the option to use Bluetooth, the included 2.4G dongle, OR the included USB-C cable. So flexible!Speaking of flexibility, yes, these use standard, high-quality keyswitches and you can absolutely customize your build with different keycaps or remove the keycaps to clean around and underneath. No more impossible to remove chip dust after a lengthy gaming or programming session!Oh, and it comes with a two year warranty? That’s pretty fantastic for a HID (human interface device). They clearly know that these keyboards are built to last, and aren’t going to see a lot of warranty issues. When you get a two year warranty, they are betting that the keyboard will last at least that long, and that’s good for both you and your wallet. Two years? I see this specific keyboard lasting 5 or 10 years, depending on how hard you are on your keyboards. They might not last forever – especially with a sealed battery – but you’ll likely be happy with how long they do last. The weight of the keyboard is very nice. Balanced. Not too light, not too heavy. I tried typing with it on my glass desktop, and also my wood desktop, and the combination of the rubber feet and three-height foot-rest system, means this keyboard stays put. Three-heights means you can get the keyboard to the most comfortable angle for you, which is pretty cool. Before I even took the keyboard out of the plastic, I saw on the Quick Guide that it has 19 LED light modes with fun names like “Dreamy Rainbow” and “Ripple Expansion.” Not only did they put a lot of thought into the software built into this keyboard, but they also named the presets in a thoughtful, descriptive way.And that’s not the only combination key you have. There’s a dozen or more things you can do with this keyboard by pressing the Fn key and some other key. It’s incredible! I just wish the extra functions were fully explored in this Quick Guide, as I mentioned before. Good news is, this company can easily fix this by putting an updated PDF of their Quick Guide up on their web-site, and this problem will go away instantly. One thing that was really cool, was that you can check the battery percentage by pressing Fn+BackSpace and the LEDs light up to tell you how charged it is. Very nice!I do find myself wondering if this keyboard’s PROM/software is upgradeable, because they may have improvements to the integrated software in the future. Do I have to buy another one if they tweak the way something works? For example, in the battery example above, it’s a little confusing to tell how charged the keyboard battery is, based on the Quick Guide. It’s possible that my keyboard is 100% charged if all ten keys light up, but then it also has a “below 30% red, below 50% yellow, above 50% green” so maybe it doesn’t matter what specific charging level it’s at, as long as it’s above 50%? I intend to keep this on the charger most of the time anyway, and the battery seems to last long enough for most typing sessions – hours, possibly longer if you turn it off when not using it.That’s one nice thing I like: it has a physical on-off switch on the side. You turn it off to use it as a wired keyboard, and turn it on to use the battery/wirelessly. Very intuitive.Back to the LEDs, not only does this keyboard have individually addressable LEDs for each key, but also, there’s an LED “band” around the base, that’s also pretty. Right now, I’m not sure how to change that, but I’m sure it’s addressable and not just “always green.” This is another example of where a full manual might have been nice – to explain what each component is called, and how to control it.How does it type? It types fantastically and, comparing it to my other, well-built keyboards, I can say that it has the perfect throw, and when it bottoms out (I type heavy), it’s half as quiet as all of my other keyboards. I type a lot, so I can’t have mechanical keyboards (with the constant clicking), but I do like to have a mechanical like feel, and these keyswitches provide that. Just enough push-back that I know I’m typing, but yields easily enough that I don’t have to fight it. For me, they found the perfect balance.Overall, if you need a 60% keyboard, and feel comfortable with the size, this keyboard is, in a word, awesome. Top to bottom. If you need a 100% keyboard, or one with a 10-key, this company (DURGOD) makes those too. It seems like those are wired, though? So you’re probably only going to get a wireless keyboard in the 60% form factor. But if this size is what you want? I don’t think you could do better than this. The kicker? I saw a $30 off coupon here on Amazon, and bought a second one, because one of these keyboards is absolutely not enough for this household.

    It feels a bit ‘mushy’

Overall, I am happy. The chassis is sturdy with little to no flex, and the entire keyboard is thin. The RGB is excellent, with an accent ring around the permitter of the bottom. The switches are not standard pins, I have not found any that will fit, and I am not the biggest fan of them. They are not very well stabilized, and they lack consistent key travel.

Decent keyboard with Kailh switches, but mine needed some TLC

The media could not be loaded.

This is a nice 80% gaming keyboard. It’s a mechanical keyboard (using “Cherry MX” style switches), so each key has its own switch as opposed to the far more common membrane-style keyboard. This gives a different feel, which many gamers (and typists/coders) prefer. This keyboard uses keycaps with the Cherry profile. The height of the keys in the middle row is approximately 7.5mm, which is consistent with this profile. This is good for me, as I prefer this lower profile to the more common OEM profile. The keys are double-shot, shine-through PBT (according to the product description). They feel pretty good, but the larger keys that use stabilizers definitely have a mushy feel. More on that later. The switches on mine are Kailh Turbo red switches. Be aware that red switches are linear and offer no “click” feedback or tactility. Personally, I like blue clicky switches for everyday use, but prefer red for gaming. Since this keyboard uses hot-swappable switches, you’re free to replace the red ones with blue or any other kind you like. Both a keycap and switch puller are included. Each key has its own RGB LED, so this puts the product above similarly-priced keyboards with only fixed-color LEDs. This gets you way fancier animated patterns, which look really nice on this keyboard. While I’m not so much a fan of animated patterns in general, I do like that I can change the backlight to various solid colors (red, blue, yellow etc). The keyboard also has RGB LEDs on its sides. The side colors can be cycled with Fn+End, but I leave these off as I don’t really need the side lighting.I tested key rollover, and was able to make as many inputs as I have fingers (I have 10, btw), so it appears the keyboard supports N-key rollover. I also didn’t have any issues with skipped or missed inputs, so the polling rate seems sufficient. The switch mounting plate is plastic, and is in fact integral to the top molding of the keyboard (not great). The keyboard is wired, and connects via the included USB-A to USB-C cable. If you’re on a Mac, you can swap the Windows and Alt keys by pressing Fn+Caps Lock. There’s a volume control wheel in the upper-right corner. The keyboard has feet you can extend, but I found that to be too steep of an angle. I think it’s fine as-is without using the feet. The instructions are printed on one sheet of paper, which is great. All the functions are explained here and it’s easy to understand.I encountered two issues with the keyboard. The first was the stabilizers being mushy-feeling, as mentioned previously. This causes the larger keys to feel like they’re never bottoming out like the rest. However, the reason isn’t because of the excessive lubrication as the other reviewer suggested. It’s because the stabilizers have plastic springy bits on the bottom that cushion them when bottoming out, which doesn’t feel right (unfortunately, clipping them did not help). The fix is to just replace them, which I did—and it totally fixed the problem. All keys feel exactly the same now. The other issue was a couple sticky switches. Fortunately, since this is a hot-swap keyboard I was able to swap the switches with a couple others. Because of these issues, I took one star off the review.Overall, I think this is a good keyboard that ticks a lot of boxes (Cherry-profile PBT caps, hot-swap red switches, full RGB lighting). Repairability is also a big plus. And remember, you can always change parts later if you want to try different switches or keycaps.

Good mechanical keyboard, LED effects are both cool, and can be useful.

The third party “red” mechanical switches feel good, not too loud. A good quality compact keyboard.LED lit keycaps have several settings, my favorite “ghosts” the keys you type, they light up and fade out so you can see what keys you hit. Useful, naw. . . , but looks kool! it has some gaming presets “WSAD” for example lights up all the keys commonly used in gaming that use WSAD keys to move. It has like 8-10 different presets.Cycling LED lighting on the sides of the keyboard are bright enough to be seen, but not so bright that they are distracting.Has a good volume control knob thingie that works well, and Fn+Function keys to do standard multimedia functions, play/pause, Fast Forward, Rewind etc..And has a useful, simple reference card on how to change lighting settings etc. Also can swtich between Windows and Mac keyboard layout as the press of a button.A good gaming keyboard at a excellent price. For gaming it’s quite good, very attractive

OK Mechanical Keyboard with Volume Knob

I mainly got this keyboard for the volume knob. The mechanical keys are not bad, but not great. It does not have a foam backing, so the button clicks have a hard landing. The button next to the volume knob is very cheap feeling. The LEDs are nice. I do not like the texture of the keys. The keys have a texture and feel cheap. Overall the keyboard is not bad. And the volume knob is nice. But it would take some upgrades to make it really nice.

Some Nice features, but falling short in lighting

I’m really liking this keyboard so far. The switches are pretty good compared to some other reds I’ve tried. I appreciate being able to change lighting without need for an application. A couple other nice features are a keylock and the magnetic wrist rest. There is plenty to like about this board, but it isn’t flawless. There is a one major issue for me and that’s the lighting. None of the lighting has the same shades as the other pieces. So if I want to have the backlight, border lights, and wrist rest to be blue, they’ll all be different shades of blue. There are various blues to choose from, but none of them look the same to match. This makes it hard to have a color themed build involving all three lights. The only setting that the lights aren’t very visibly different are the rainbow modes.Overall, this is a solid keyboard with plenty of good features, but for a 100 dollar board, this isn’t a slam dunk for me.

    Decent little TKL

In a vast sea full of 60% keyboards, It’s especially nice that it’s a TKL/80%.The keyboard itself is just “good”. It’s not amazing, but it’s not bad. The keys are smooth and the “clack” is fairly dull (if that’s what you like). The keycaps are a fairly matte plastic reminiscent of 80’s-90’s electronics. The light is nice, and the keycaps are nicely illuminated beneath the keys. The volume dial is an especially nice addition – but the light on/off button next to it feels like it could have been better used for some other function key. The preset lighting effects are nice – there’s some goofy one’s pretty much nobody will ever use, but the fact that you can select single solid colors is a very welcome feature (you’re not stuck with ONLY RGB effects). The key shortcuts printed on the sides of the keycaps is also nice. All around, not the best keyboard ever. The price point is fairly daunting considering that there are higher overall quality offerings for the same/less, but since it’s something of a diamond in the rough as an 80% keyboard, I would give it a pass.

    Clickity Clack!

If you like the clickity clack of a mechanical keyboard this is for you. The red keys are responsive and have the sound we love. The RGBs look nice but as one reviewer stated, the colors don’t really match on the palm rest. Though the RGBs look nice there aren’t many lighting patterns to choose from. The reason I gave this a 4-star review because the boarder lights reset when I shut the computer down, there isn’t a volume knob, it’s a pain to hit the Fn key and F key to adjust volume in the heat of battle. I will say this is a sturdy well-made keyboard.

Solid, small mechanical keyboard that has weak key action

Overall, this is a solid little keyboard–the backlighting is bright and has a wide degree of customization; it has a scroll wheel to adjust volume easily; it also has side lighting and a button to turn off the key lights with a single click. Cosmetics and basic functionality is pretty good.Where it’s lacking, and unfortunately this is the main reason to have a mechanical keyboard, is in the key action. Instead of a satisfying tactile experience, this keyboard is mushy and unresponsive. It’s not a whole lot different than the action of my laptop keyboard I have it plugged into. It’s not bad, but it’s lacking in the primary attribute a mechanical keyboard should have.

    Absolutely love this keyboard!

I honestly didn’t know what I was missing while using my older keyboard. I am not a huge fan of all the RGB lit gaming accessories as I think it is a little overdone but with this it can be used as little or as much as you like.As far as the RGB aspect, I’ll admit that there are some cool effects, with the actual keys having illumination through it, and then there being a very thin line around the top of the base of the main housing. Both of these can not only have the brightness increased or decreased, but also the speed of the effect (if you have one that cycles or “breathes”). There are quite a few options and you can have either (or both) lights off, or set the combination and colors you like.It is extremely comfortable to type on this keyboard, and while it took a bit of getting used to the 60% keyboard– once I did, I am very fast as the response is excellent. It might be even a bit too touchy as sometimes I will barely press a key and realize that I have entered a number of characters! The only drawback is the instructions which is just a single sheet and confusing with the wording used. For a higher-quality product like this, some extra care and time should have been taken to provide an intuitive set of detailed instructions with proper grammar. As it stands there is still things listed that make no sense no matter how many times I read it! This is certainly something that makes the final product not feel like a premium product.Really a good keyboard, whether gaming or using for general typing/work. Highly recommended– though be prepared to be a bit frustrated with the instructions and learning curve for functions and settings that, as a result shouldn’t take this long to learn.

The feeling of typing on this keyboard is completely UNMATCHED

The media could not be loaded.

Genuinely impressed with this keyboard. I originally got it for my husband, but here I am using it to type up this review on my PHONE. Yes, you read that correctly. I’m able to connect this keyboard to my iPhone and use it to type anything I want.In the attached video my husband demonstrates the key features (no pun intended) of this keyboard. The attached photo was taken just a few seconds ago when I started writing this review (while also sitting in my bed lol). Below I will list my overall thoughts.1) I have literally never typed on something that was this satisfying. It feels SO good. I assure you I’m not exaggerating. I’ve only ever owned keyboards and laptops from a certain company named after a fruit. You know the one. I have exceptionally high standards in product quality, and I’m absolutely shocked that this particular keyboard was able to exceed them.2) The overall quality is just fantastic. This does not feel like a generic keyboard from Amazon. This feels very high-end. It’s got a really solid construction and the user-experience is unmatched.3) It’s super compact, but it’s not too small where you’ll have a difficult time typing on it. It’s literally perfect. It can easily fit inside a laptop bag or a backpack. It’s perfect to use with smaller devices such as phones and tablets, but it’s even great with desktop PCs! My husband actually switched out his full-size keyboard for this one because he loves it so much. Only problem is I love it too.4) This keyboard has all kinds of neat features. Most of which are shown in my review video. For instance, you can change the RGB lighting to make really cool patterns. You can connect multiple devices to this keyboard at once and seamlessly switch between them with the click of a button. You can switch from Windows mode to Mac mode. You can even check your battery life.5) It’s extremely user-friendly. I’m someone you could consider ‘technology illiterate,’ and I was able to learn how to operate it just fine.6) Battery life is surprisingly pretty great! To sum everything up, I absolutely recommend this keyboard. This is one of the best items I’ve ordered from Amazon this year!

Good Wireless 65% low profile board with a few drawbacks…..

I purchased this keyboard because I wanted a 65% low profile rgb keyboard. The build quality is really good. It is compact, looks great, and the layout is perfect. The keys feel great and the rgb looks good. Little details like storage for the dongle and a good quality usb-c cable make it feel even more premium. The main issues I had with the keyboard were the rgb coloring and the switches. This keyboard does not have software to adjust the color of the rgb lighting. The stock colors controlled vis the keyboard are okay but it needs to have more options and the edge lit coloring did not match up to the key backlighting. When I switched the backlight to white it looked pink. When I tried to adjust the edge lit rgb to match it did not offer a white. A little thing but it drove me crazy. I could not customize the colors to what I wanted. The keycaps feel excellent. The switches on the keyboard are very very quiet. For some that may be great, but as for me I like a little sound. The is one of the big reasons people buy a mechanical keyboard. My biggest issue with the switches is definitely the typing feel. They feel a bit mushy. It would be great if they offered a tactile option. A brown switch on this keyboard would great. If they had software to control the rgb and edge lighting so I could customize the color to what I wanted and offered a tactile switch this would be the perfect keyboard. If you aren’t too worried about the rgb colors being specific and you like red switches then this keyboard is a great value.

Very happy with my new mechanical gaming keyboard!

Im more a programmer than a gamer actually. I bought this to replace my old mechanical keyboard as shown in the photo comparison. The new one is full size, build quality is exceptional. The sleek, black design with customizable RGB lighting is not only visually appealing but also adds a touch of personalization to my work studio. The keycaps have a premium feel, well tuned dull soft metal clicks sound, and the anti-ghosting feature ensures that all of my key presses are accurately registered. Long work sessions can be taxing on your hands and wrists, but this keyboard has addressed that issue with an ergonomic design and a detachable comfortable wrist rest. It also comes with two snitch tools that I assume is for easy keycaps removal and cleaning. Overall, this keyboard is worth every penny and has exceeded my expectations.

There’s a lot to like–and show off–but not if your hands shake in the slightest

I’m typing this review on the Durgod TGK 200 in Win11 using Bluetooth. It ain’t easy.Don’t get me wrong — at a gaming rally, this keyboard will attract both attention and envy. It is (by far) the most RGB-capable keyboard I’ve ever used. Each key has its own mega-color RGB LED triad that shines brightly through beautiful keycaps in daylight in an ever-enthusiastic display of rainbows and sparkles that is hard not to notice. In fact, of all the different whirls of color, there is no “plain single-color-mode” I’ve been able to find. Just “white” like a “normal” backlit keyboard? Forgeddaboudit. That’s not what this peacock of a device is all about. The keys themselves feel good and have lots of travel — but they don’t use the latter. The barest touch of a key records the keystroke. If I’m gaming with WASD, not having to “bottom” the key likely helps my reaction time a little, but for typing? This isn’t a keyboard aimed at that — it means I use the backspace key a lot. And if you happen to brush the Caps Lock key . . .Though the layout is surprisingly small without skimping on key-spacing, it has been hard for me to get comfortable with the unusual key arrangement and being “cramped.” I write it off to the compromise needed for its superior portability, so I’m not fussing. Where I DO fuss is the need to use the “Fn” key to get to common keycodes, such as the Fnn keys, Home, and Insert. When writing or programming, I typically use these keys without thinking or “looking,” but here, I have to both think and look. But the TGK 200 doesn’t pretend to be a productivity keyboard, and I applaud the designers for still letting it serve that purpose in a pinch, often by adding a 3rd and 4th function to some keys. For instance, there is a Ctrl-Break (as Fn-Ctrl-Shift-PageDown) which (though it isn’t easy) is still there! As a programmer, I NEED that key, and I despise that so many “modern” keyboards ignorantly think it’s disposable. For the heck of it, I wrote a quick program to map this entire keyboard — nothing is missing. Every keycode is there (somewhere). Thank you, Durgod.Other things I like: it is solid and uses a metal base. There are two “feet heights” (or none at all). The keyboard can also be used with a USB receiver which is included and fits securely in a special slot — very handy. It works. And after a week, I’ve yet to run down the rechargeable battery — it’s got endurance. So, if I needed an external keyboard in a cramped space, such as on a plane, this would be the keyboard I would take. But be prepared to be interrupted by the stares of your seatmates.

    Solid HOT-SWAP low profile keyboard

I have one of the Cherry low profile boards, and overall, it is OK.This thing is less money, and WAY more solid. There is only one thing that really bugged me about it overall.I wasn’t expecting it to be aluminum, so that was a nice surprise. The board was nice and hefty, and I didn’t feel like there was much in the way of flex that I was expecting. The rear chin where the feet are is plastic, which makes sense because you need something like that to be able to get the wireless signal out of the board. It looks extremely in place with the style, and appears to be have been a key part of the design when they were coming up with the board. The red switches are OK. I didn’t find them overly scratchy (unlike the Cherry board, that thing was like sandpaper in comparison). They aren’t tactile, unlike what the description says.”Offer an incredibly short 0.3mm actuation distance with a tactile bump” lol no that is not really the case. The actuation distance is a little higher than that, but it isn’t outrageous by any means. I had no issues typing away on it.This has storage for its “dongle”, which is almost a must have feature for me. I do like to switch up keyboards once in a while, and having to keep track of these is a pain when you have no way to keep it with the keyboard. This also makes this more portable than the Cherry board, since that one doesn’t let you store the dongle with it.The adjustment feet are great. They have two sets of feet, so I have no issues with getting the height I want (the Cherry board had rubber plugs, almost like they forgot about keyboard feet)I don’t like to use third party software for my keyboards, so I base my experience on how easy it is to adjust on the board itself. This one has legends on the keys to adjust lighting and whatnot, so I didn’t have too much of an issue poking around to get what I wanted. There was a card inside the box that had better instruction on what to do.The key switches being swap able is a big thing too. I had no issues using my normal pullers to get them out. This is much nicer than Cherry’s board, which solders them in.My biggest gripe is the accent lighting around the edge of the keyboard. I thought it was broken until I looked at it straight on. It is SOO dim, you can’t notice it at all when sitting at a normal height. It might make a nice shot for the gram, but you won’t find it useful in every day use.Sound wise, this is OK. It is a bit more pingy than I would like, but the board is also 1/4 the thickness of my normal board, so this is to be expected. I don’t think there is much room for improvement, unless you were to tape and possibly silicone any empty space inside (battery and stuff takes up room too)Overall, this is absolutely the board to get if you want something that is low profile and nice to use. Being able to swap to a different switch as you learn what you like, or just to make it your own is a great thing on something of this price. The build quality is much nicer than I had expected as well. If you are dead set on having the trim lighting to be bright, you won’t be happy with this, but I honestly forgot about it after about 20 minutes. YMMV

Lots of features, but could be better

I’m conflicted with this review; I want to like this keyboard more than I do.On paper, it has all the features I would want. Hot swappable, roller volume knob, RGB back and side lighting, USB-C connectivity… but, the overall experience is just average at best. For every good there is something that drags it down. The board is incredibly light and detrimentally so. It has possibly the worst hollow sounding typing experience I have ever heard in a mechanical keyboard. I haven’t felt like fully disassembling the board yet, but I can see there is no damping material between the plate and PCB, and I can almost guarantee there isn’t any damping material in the bottom of the case either. The Kailh red switches are un-lubed, but the stabilizers are; and on my board, they are actually over lubed causing Shift/Enter/Space to feel mushy and return slow. There is also no dedicated mute switch, as the button next to the volume roller only controls the lighting on/off.Visually, the board is sharp looking. The keycaps, while basic, have the simple non-gamery font and clear easy to read legends. The alt functions for each key are printed on the south side of the cap giving the tops a clean appearance. The volume roller works great! I love analog feeling volume controls and while knobs are nice, rollers are just so much more convenient to adjust with a single finger or thumb swipe. The backlighting is nice, but the side lighting is what kicks it up a notch. That you can adjust both independently should be commended. I do wish there was some software available to fine tune the lighting as I can never select the shade of purple that I prefer with only on board controls. So, is the board good or not? It’s really hard to be so black and white like that. This board has a lot of potential to be made sounding and feeling better. A few mods to dampen the hollowness, some more interesting switches, fix the stabilizers and some aftermarket keycaps, added to the already good side lighting and volume control and it’s a great board in my eyes. But…there are other keyboards out there that start at a better value proposition if modding is going to be done. At this price point, you have to really want side lighting and a unique volume control. I can see this being a board I’ll love eventually, but out of the box, sadly it isn’t.

    Good keyboard, has some quirks

This mechanical keyboard has some great features. It is wired which is always better than wireless when gaming, it has thick buttons, and the RGB lights are pretty neat. Because this is a mechanical keyboard it is going to sound louder when pressing the keys. It is definitely not a soft-sounding, soft-touch keyboard. It is meant for gaming. The RGB lights can change colors, do different designs, and have multiple colors going at one time. Every once in a while there will be a key that is a little sticky or the RGB lights will start doing some crazy stuff, but it hasn’t been something I can’t fix. Overall this is a pretty good keyboard and I would recommend it for gaming purposes.*This product was given to me through the Amazon Vine program for my honest and unbiased opinion. I have no affiliation with the company/seller. I hope you find this review helpful in your decision-making process. *

Bright RGB, Smooth Volume Control, Mushy Switches

For a budget keyboard, this Ollyn has some nice features. The RGB looks amazing, the volume control is perfect, the form factor is great for saving on desktop real estate, and the modular USB-C connection is a welcome touch. The switches feel mushy, especially the larger keys like space bar, shift, enter, etc. The space bar is so bad on my unit that it makes the whole typing experience feel awkward and disjointed. I deliberated on giving this 3 or 4 stars, and only gave it 4 stars because of the reasonable price.Perhaps this keyboard can be modified to fix the mushy keys, but this should not need to be done.

Be the envy of your (gaming) friends!

The media could not be loaded.

There are no less than 19 different types of lighting effects on this keyboard. The video shows them all! To choose the one you want, just click FN + [ until you get the one you want.I shot the video in a low light so the keyboard was dominant. The pictures show you what you get in the box, and the list of 19 named lighting effects. The keyboard is sturdy and well-made with feet you can swing out to use the keyboard at either of two different angles. There is a USB dongle clipped underneath. If you want a keyboard to be an experience rather than a utility, get one of these!

Very compact, quiet, nice feel to the action

This is a very compact keyboard and the keys have a very nice quiet and smooth action. I’m always looking for keyboards that have very lightly engaged action, as additional pressure makes my hands hurt. In addition, I love keyboards where the letters themselves allow the light to pass through, since I can easily use it in the dark. Overall, just what I was looking for in a small keyboard.

Solidly alright mechanical keyboard, uncomforable wrist rest and missmatched LEDs

This is the most middle of the road keyboard I have used in a while. Inoffensive, but terribly bland. It sounds very very hollow, the switches are average, the keycaps are average feeling, the functionality is all there and just fine, the wrist rest is a bit of a gimick but it might work for you.My two biggest critiques are:The wrist rest is not terribly comfortable when combined with how tall standing the lowest row of keys are, your wrist will be at an uncomfortabley sharp angle which will cause fatique pretty quickly. I found I could not use the wrist rest with this after about 30 minutes of use.Second, the LEDs are very difficult, if not impossible to color match. Unless you want the RGB cycle unicorn vomit you will be limited to Red or Blue to have all the LED’s match. And even then the blue is very slightly different on the wrist rest, quite noticably as well. This is really frustrating to someone who likes to keep things color coordinated. Also if you accidentally disconnect the wrist rest and re-attach it, it will be back to the RGB Cycle. And when restarting your PC, or shutting down, if you do not have constant power supplied through USB the border effect and wrist rest will reset to RGB Cycle, which is superbly annoying. It is very difficult to capture a picture of how sligthly different the colors are, but I tried to get all of them pink. The keys were a shade or two lighter than the keyboard border LEDs, and the wrist rest was more lylac colored than pink.Typing on the keyboard itself is fine. The Red switches used are not spongy, they are pretty good linear switches. While the keyboard and typing sound is very hollow. The case of the keyboard is 100% plastic, and I do not think there is any foam fill or dampening at all in the board. That being said, the spacebar sounds nice, at least to me, it has a very solid sound to it. But the stabilizers on it are not the best. The switches used in this really is the best part of the keyboard, they are 3 pin Kailh Reds.Price to feature set I would say is not too good a deal. There are more inexpensive keyboards with better build, nicer switches and better RGB implementation.I would really only recommend getting this if it were on sale. A direct competitor to this one would be like a Corsair k90, which also includes the wrist rest, thoug is not hot swap. But if you were to get this for being hotswap there are much better options again.Perfomance wise this is inline with a budget entry level mechanical keyboard, but priced as if it were a midrange board. I cannot really recommend this unless it directly matches a look you are going for.Typing Experience: CLighting: C-Customization: B-Included Features: BLighting: C-Overall: CVery mundane, slightly overpriced.

It’s so beautiful I could cry! My first gaming keyboard !

I couldn’t have asked for a better gaming keyboard as my first haha! I read on some tech website that a gaming keyboard will outlast a regular typing keyboard, among several other benefits in terms of switching from a typing keyboard to a gaming keyboard. This one is amazing. absolutely beautiful, don’t think about it. Best purchase I’ve made in a long time.

Looks cool, was the main concept here.

My son and I are big gamers and really liked the look of this keyboard. Love the features and lighting on it which goes great with our setup, but the keys are a little stiff and loud. We have decent noise canceling headsets so it is not that bad for us, but I could see how this would be annoying for most. Would love for the keys to be more responsive also.

Decent mechanical keyboard, but corners are cut.

The RGB lighting is fine, the way to configure it is a bit too complicated though. If you lose your user manual, good luck on remembering what key combination indicates what lighting effect. The scroll wheel is a cool feather but I hope I can configure it to functions besides volume control. The biggest issue I found is that the abnormal sized keys are not real mechanical switches. keys like Shift, Ctrl, Alt, Space, Caps lock etc. Any key that’s not a standard square size key, it feels significantly differently and feels much mushier. Made me almost wanted to return it instantly. But at this price range to find a real mechanical keyboard is difficult enough, maybe I can bare with the cost cutting on the other function keys that I don’t use all that often. But time will see how long it lasts me. The space bar and enter key feeling mushy is kind of a deal breaker to be honest.

    Seems okay

I’m new to mechanical keyboards so I’m not sure if this is correct, but these red switches have a very shallow actuation point. When I rest my fingers on the keys, its easy for me to accidentally hold a key down unintentionally. All of the stabilizer keys feel different from the letters and numbers. They have a smoother downforce curve and rebound slower but are very quiet. After using brown switches for 10 years, I wanted try out this new trend of custom keyboards. This is my 3rd board with red switches. I don’t think I like red switches but at least this board is hot swappable and the keycaps are decent with good printing and lighting transmission.

    I love this keyboard!

First off and probably most important, I am not a gamer. I was raised on the old typewriters, so I love to hear the click of my fingers on the keys. This suits me perfectly. I also love the lights. Not that I need to see the keys, but hey we all look down from time to time. If you just want an excellent keyboard this is for you, gaming again I have no idea.

    Slow response time

I use this for my PlayStation 4 and it is important that a keyboard have no input delay when playing. Also, the keys are bulky for me and just does’t assist me in my preferences during my play time. Besides those two factors it’s still a good keyboard.
