Fun but wish it had more options
This was bought as a party game for 4 adults on Thanksgiving. It was fun but I wish there were more options on the cat cards that you need multiples to use their power. Although they have different cutsie names (like Tacocat) on them, they have the same power. (to steal a ransom card)I know this is not even close to a power card game like Dominion but if you are going to have different names on the cat cards they should all be different or at least have a higher level of difficulty for a few. This card game can be played super fast so it is a good party game but… 5 players basically uses all the cards and makes it end too quickly. (all luck/ no strategy due to lack of cards on the pickup pile) And the opposite is the same for 2 players. (it can take longer and use some strategy)Would recommend 3-4 players for some luck some strategy. I will definitely look into the expansion packs to add more cards and more strategic powers.

i love this game
i love this game so much!! i really wanted to get the streaking kitten expansion pack because i have been mostly playing it with my friend who has that pack and it makes it more fun with the extra cards and actions. i do think that it definitely isn’t as much fun with 2 players than it is with 5 players. it is still fun but it’s even better playing with more people. something that i don’t really like is that the cards are different shades of red, i’m pretty sure the original version is darker than the streaking kittens expansion pack, so if you look really closely you can tell when a card from the expansion pack is coming. but otherwise i think it’s a really fun game

The first game I received had a crushed box. There was no option to contact the seller but I did a return and that went off without a hitch! I received the new game the next day and this one was perfect. Even though I could not contact the seller directly it was made right!

Slight learning curve, but a great game!
** Listen, if you are actually reading reviews for a game called “Exploding Kittens”, you are already expressing that you have the right mindset for this game. As long as you don’t take things too seriously in general, this game is right for you! **Bought this for a family member this Christmas (2020) on a whim because of a sale. Wasn’t sure how it was going to turn out after reading the reviews but I’m glad I did. This recipient was 23 years old and a very affable kind of guy – I thought he’d get a kick out of a game named “Exploding Kittens”. Christmas night we broke it out, checked out the rules and begin to play. It took us a little bit to grasp the concepts and rules, but in reality it’s not that hard. Just expect a slight learning curve. After the first couple games we had a 16 year old, 23-year-old, 44-year-old, and a 85-year-old all playing with no problems. Once we worked out the quirks of the game, we were having a blast! Think of this game as a type of Russian roulette with cards. You can use the cards to steal cards of an opponent, block their moves, skip your turn or go on the offensive, but at the end of your turn, you still have to take the risk of pulling a card that kicks you out of the game (with some exceptions). Is the game age appropriate? Depends on your values I guess. My opinion is that it would be best for ages 13 and above. When it comes down to it, this game is about survival and is very ‘self centered’ meaning you need to worry about yourself first. My gift was the hit of the night!

Fun, quick game.
This game is good with kids as a family, or kids in a party/group setting. It’s also fun with adult players (drinking or sober!). You battle it out using the hand your dealt, and a bit of strategy. The cards have different actions, some diffuse cat explosions, some skip your turn (and your risk to draw an exploding cat), you’ve action cards and make a player draw two cards, you can ‘Nope’ someone’s attack or favor (taking in some else’s card) or future-seeing (peeking at cards in deck), but the fun comes when they ‘Nope’ your Nope! And then someone else nopes that nope! And you battle it out avoiding the exploding cats with funny, individual cards, and just pure silliness. I’ve already gifted this to my daughter’s friend for her birthday after they’d played it together with a group of friends. Solid good game. It can get old after awhile (it’s all my son wants to play!).

More fun with 3 or more people
It takes one or two times playing the game, referring to the instructions, to get it down. Once you get the hang of it, it’s fun. It’s definitely strategic. My 11 year old enjoys it but I have to coach her to think about what she’s doing to get the best outcome. That’s a good thing though. We play, the two of us, to practice strategy before inviting her dad to play.

For kids or those who are kids at heart
So I bought this game for thee reasons.1. I like the website The Oatmeal.2. It got great reviews.3. Two of my boys (8 & 11) thought the name was hilarious. So how does it live up?On reason 1, it most certainly lives up. If you like The Oatmeal and the humor and artwork found there you will get a kick out of the game. Though we bought the PG version, so the humor will be on the potty side, but relatively safe. It’s funny and silly.Reason 2, well I can see why it got good reviews, but I could also see why it got some poor ones. The game play is very much dependent on you and those you play with. My boys spent most of the time giggling and hoarding cards. They were reluctant to play anything, which made it annoying at times. You have to play this game like you would play Munchkin, and the main point of Munchkin is to screw over the other players. It seems to me the game is meant to be fast paced and played for fun. Put down card that helps yourself, but stabs your fellow player’s in the back. Otherwise it will be boring and annoying.Reason 3, yes the name is funny, and so are the cards. See the aforementioned giggling. In the game you end your turn by drawing a card, which could be something good and useful, or an Exploding Kitten. An exploding Kitten puts you out of the game so you don’t what that. The game may go something like this, on your turn you play the card, feast upon a unicorn enchilada and gain its enchilada powers (see the future). This allow you to see the next three cards. You notice the second card is an Exploding kitten. So you play, deploy the thousand-year back hair (attack card), ending your turn without drawing a card and forcing player 2 to play two turns. Player 3 plays, feed your opponent a nope sandwich with extra nopesause (nope card, can be played at anytime). Thus negating your attack card. You figure oh well and draw your card ending your turn knowing you are safe, for now. Player 2 plays, don the portable cheetah butt (skip card) and ends their turn without drawing a card. Player 3 plays a pair of, tacocats, which allows them to pick a player and pick a card from their hand. Player 3 then plays, a plague of bat farts descends from the sky (shuffle). So they shuffle the deck until someone says stop, and so on.Like I said, funny and silly, but only if you are kid, a kid at heart, or maybe even drunk.

Barking Kittens is a great expansion for Exploding Kittens! It’s got new cards that make the game more interesting, and it’s fully compatible with the “Imploding Kittens” expansion. The tower of power hat is well made, but arrives bent due to the fact that it has to fold to fit in the box.

My teen will actually spend time with us
Now that my kid is a teen, she no longer wants to hang with her “uncool” parents. She’d rather sit in her room on her phone and watch TikTok videos or whatever.I came across Exploding Kittens one day, read the description and thought “why not?” to try to spend quality family time together.Instructions were clear, and it was really quick to pick up and it’s honestly a really fun game. The cards are funny and the games are relatively short. My kid asked for expansion packs to make the game longer/keep it interesting and I’m so glad I got some. Now she’ll come out of her room for more than just snacks and seeing her laugh and smile has been the best part of buying this weird game.

Such a great fame for the entire family!
Our family never really plays cards. Just didn’t grow up with them. Two kids in college and the wife and I played this game over Christmas. Wow!!! Such fun. Just the family interactions alone were worth it. At first the kids are like, say what?, a card game? I don’t think so. But I primed the pump earlier and told them we were going to play. Imagine! No phones were used during the entire time playing! Very fun, and quality family time to boot.

Pretty fun game specially for parties
Exploding Kittens is a wonderful party card game. It can be a really fast pace or can take longer depends on your luck :D. This is the first one of the two expansions available for this game, which adds more players to your game (up to 6). I was so excited when opening the pack. This Expansion deck includes 20 new cards featuring 6 new types of actions and completely changes the games if you are just playing with the base game.Card types:- Feral Cat (4 cards): Is a wild cat card in the base game- Reverse (4 cards): You reverse the order of play- Alter the Future (4 cards): Like see the future, but way better- Target Attack (3 cards): Played like an attack, but you get to pick the player you wish to attack- Draw from the Bottom (4 cards): Draw from the bottom of the pile- Imploding Kittens (1 card): This is the best part of it, where you replace one of the exploding kittens with this card and it cannot be diffused when drawn!Oh, the fun part of this expansion is the cone of shame in the pack for whoever forgets the turn. You get to make fun of your friends even more in the game :D. Some of these new cards make more sense if you are playing with more players. Also, this expansion cannot really be used with the party pack, although you can, I think, but most of the cards are already available in that pack. Overall, this pack is nicely designed and the artwork is terrific and funny and the expansion itself can make the game much more fun if you are the fan of the base game. The only bad thing about this pack is that the pack is a bit larger and could have been smaller, which is not a big deal at all. I include some pictures of the pack and the cards and hope that helps to make the decision.

One of my daughter’s go to games
Easy to learn, quick to play (about 15min a game), and definitely more fun if >2 people. My daughter loves card games and this one seems to strike a good balance with it not being too cutesy, but still cute enough to be enjoyed by a wider audience that includes kids. We changed the rules a little when playing with 2 players, by hiding all exploding kittens in the deck and allotting each player diffuse cards to start. Typical game usually takes 15 min at most to complete. It’s not totally mindless as there is strategy that can be employed and well as trying to read your opponent. This has been one of the games that is usually packed when traveling and on the plane.

Its a great time for the two of us just because its …
A very, very well done game.Playing a few rounds of this in the evening is what I use to reward my son for getting his homework done quickly. Its a great time for the two of us just because its so much fun, but it also sets the stage for us to discuss things like situational assessment, strategic thinking and being a good sport, (don’t worry, we don’t discuss it in such clinical terms or exhaustively, he’s 7, his eyes would glaze over if I did, but we do cover it just the same). Most of the negative reviews I’ve read about Exploding Kittens have pointed out that its not a very strategically deep game. I would refer those folks to the lower left corner of the game’s box. It says its for ages 7 and up. 7 year olds are not actually known for their nuanced understanding of strategy, but the light footprint of strategic thinking in the game is exactly what lets you begin teaching them the basics. As a quick example of gameplay, during last night’s game, my son played a “see the future” card and then immediately threw down an “attack” card after he peeked at the top three cards in the draw deck. I knew something was definitely up, so I played a “nope” card to which he replied with another “nope” card which put the “attack” card back in play. I threw a “skip” card that I had been saving down to end my turn with no draw and he immediately played a “shuffle” card to re-order the deck. It was VERY clear that the “exploding kitten” card was somewhere in the top two cards of that deck, but the important consideration is that the two of us had to take a few moments to stop laughing before we could continue playing. My suggestion to those who are looking at this game, but are concerned about its lack of depth…don’t let it stop you. If you’re playing with kids, the level of depth is just about perfect. If you’re playing with just adults…have a few drinks and the level of depth will be just about perfect.

Very Good Expansion if You Like the Base Game
If you didn’t like Exploding Kittens, the amazing Kickstarter success story, then this expansion isn’t going to save it.On the other side of things, if you love the felicide card game, you might buy this for the critical sixth-player expansion. With those simple cases out of the way, Imploding Kittens generally improves the original game. I don’t like the “Cone of Shame” that is provided for any human player to wear who screws up the turn order. It doesn’t add any rules or strategy, and it inflates what could be a sleek deck-of-cards package into an awkward 9×12 envelope design. The point of the expansion is the new cards, however. The eponymous Imploding Kitten card eliminates the drawing player and can’t be defused, unlike the original explosions. Alter the Future reorders the top three cards, where the original See the Future was fairly useless without an additional attack card to act upon your knowledge. Targeted Attack (Attack any player) and Reverse help with the slow cycling of a 5- or 6-player game. Draw From the Bottom is exactly what it sounds like.Feral Cats are a new breed of cat in town. They are wild card cats that pair with Tacocat or any of the other originals. This may compensate for how the deck has been diluted by an extra 20 cards on top of the original 56.The game still devolves into players exploding only after they’ve expended their various Defuses and Attack cards, plus one possible unlucky Implosion. But, there are new paths for you cautious cat-handlers to take, and the designers have taken care to make the larger 6-player game (as well as previously legal 5-player games) move smoothly.

This game literally caused one of the biggest fights my family has ever had
We played this in Florida on a big family vacation. The kids were asleep and the adults played this, I think it was the first time for all of us. We were drinking. My brother and I are competitive, as are others at the table. The rules to this game are EXTREMELY vague and open to interpretation. Eventually my brother and I got into it over rules and winning, our wives took sides -me and him ended up screaming at each other and nearly to blows.I eventually tore the rules up in disgust and stormed off. My 70 yr old Dad who detests confrontation was horrified and traumatized – his negative over-reactions to the kerfuffle and those of his new wife have in turn traumatized me tbh.My brother and I made up the next morning and basically forgot about it.The whole thing was a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy – because I had literally been talking about how my brother’s wife and her sister had once gotten into a huge screaming match while playing Scattergories or a game like that — and how funny I thought that was, after being initially a little shocked.I was given guilt because it was one of the kid’s brand new game, so I bought them a replacement, which I doubt anyone has played. 😀

What a nice surprise. This game is simple and cute
What a nice surprise. This game is simple and cute, easy to get into, while allowing you to use a little strategy to nail your opponents. You’ve read how it works: each players gets 4 random cards and one “defuse card.” During your turn, you have the option to play as many cards from your hand as you want – things like skipping a turn, making the next player take two turns, peeking at the next draw card, and so on. When you’re finished, you draw a card (unless you played one that allows you to skip drawing). If you draw an exploding kitten, you’re out, unless you play a defuse and then you put the bomb back anywhere (even on top, for the next player) in the deck. There will be one less bomb card in the deck than there are players, so you are guaranteed that all players (save the victor) will be blown to bits before the draw pile is empty. It gets really exciting near the end, when there are 2 players left, 5 cards in the pile, and one bomb! The strategy comes in when you decide if you want to just keep stockpiling cards, taking your chances you won’t draw a bomb, or if you try to do everything you can to avoid taking cards. When you’re left with two players, those skips can be very handy. On the other hand, saving that defuse till the end can win the game for you.The rules seemed kind of complex to get into, but this game really flows and reminds me a bit of Uno. My kids (8 and 11) had absolutely no problems getting into it and understanding how to strategize. It’s fast-paced and each round takes maybe 5-minutes, similar to Uno. My only wish was that there was a larger variety of cards. One note: you can’t “Nope” a defuse! We made this mistake a couple times before we got to that part in the rules.Recommended for good old fashioned family game night, and a great distraction from today’s handheld devices.

Lots of laughs
This was the first time ever playing this game. It took a few games to learn the cards and how to play them. After that the entire weekend was spent playing this game. There was so much yelling, laughing it was fun to just watch a group play. The youngest player we had was 8. It took a little bit for her to understand the cards and how to play them strategically, but once she got it down, there was no stopping her. It was neat to see the kids all figure out the best strategies to play their hand. I would definitely recommend for a gift or for a party to play and have fun. It is always nice to get the kids away from video games and just really sitting down and enjoying a card game. Then throw in grandparents and it was just a whole added level of fun. There is a max number of 5 players each game. That is because of how many exploding kitten cards and defuse cards are in each deck.

This is a fun and easy to learn game for groups. Unfortunately, the seller just wrapped the game in a layer of shipping plastic and didn’t use any padding. Overhyped a bit
Really I’d rate this more like 4 stars, but I feel like it’s a bit overhyped. It didn’t seem bad to me, just not amazing or ground breaking or anything. This is one of those games where you’re really going to want lots of people playing it. It’s not that great for 3 people and you really want something closer to the maximum number of people playing.

Awesome!
Exploding kittens is a FANTASTIC game! It’s great fun and the best thing about it is that you can play with ANYONE, unlike say Cards Against Humanity – which can upset some folks. Exploding Kittens works for larger and smaller groups, but we did end up buying a second pack to expand the game to larger groups or say 9. Although a few times before the second pack arrived, we actually had a great time playing with mixed couples (with those that had played before and those hadn’t). Once you’ve had a few drinks and played a round or two it can get really competitive and you start to get a bit strategic and start ganging up on people haha!If I am correct it was the quickest funded Kickstarter in history, from the creators on the Oatmeal. The illustrations and are weird and hilarious. The concept of the game is to not explode basically. I won’t spell out how to play the game in this review, because I’m sure there are other reviews that do it better than I do, and the game comes with a little leaflet that explains things really well and also encourages you to go online and watch a “how to play” video. Depending on your strategy, you might go for pairs more or keep as many NOPE cards as you can. Everyone has their idea of how best to play. The one thing we did, is put both of our sets into one box, but broke them out into the two sets – because otherwise the game pace changes if you play with 2 sets for a smaller group. It doesn’t “flow” as well with the one set as it does two. We kept the instructions though so we cna count out if needed again how many of each card goes per set.Buy it and you won’t be disappointed! great fun!

Outrageous Fun!
We’ve been longtime fans of The Oatmeal, and so we were looking forward to this game when he created it. It didn’t disappoint! Entertaining pictures, easy to learn game that goes quickly.
The artwork is entertaining, I’m sure most of us who’ve purchased this game early on are Matt Inman (the Oatmeal) fans, so for that alone I could give this four stars. I especially love the Nope cards, each one has different artwork. As to the game itself, it is very much like UNO in it’s game play so that it’s easy to learn and the game progresses quickly. We played it with a group of friends over Thanksgiving day weekend. They were new to the game and it was quick to teach them the rules and game play. We played a few rounds of this game and then moved on to a longer, more involved game, so Exploding Kittens was a good starter to our game night. I would definitely pick this game over UNO in the future.I will agree with another reviewer that you should pay close attention to the rules, while not complex it is easy to overlook something based on past game experience. For example, the first session I played this, I somehow overlooked a wonderful aspect of the special combos for collecting two or three of a kind cards. I collected the cards and used them as a pair to discard, but failed to realize that I could steal a random card from another player. The second session I played this game, this feature was pointed out to me and after playing it this way, the game was greatly enhanced. I do think this game is more enjoyable with 4-5 people. Also, I think as with any game, it can be more or less fun depending upon who plays it with you.Overall, I think if you’re looking for a fast paced, lighthearted game that’s easy to learn with some irreverent humor thrown in, this game with leave a big goofy grin on your face.

It’s good; but understand what you’re buying.
If you have already purchased the original game and expansion packs, this version of the game is redundant. The idea is that you simply devise variations of the game by building decks that utilize the cards of your choice. For someone withOUT the expansion packs on the original game, this “Imploding” version is great. If you already have the original game AND the expansion packs, you don’t need this version in my opinion.

Fun– but took me a minute to figure it out that it was
I played this game with my spouse and some friends and was soon bored– I echo a lot of the sentiment in the one-star reviews. It’s basically a game of hot potato or musical chairs. Basically, don’t get caught with an exploding kitten. If you do, you better hope that you have a defuse card. That’s it. And of course, that seems boring. The other cards– which allow you to cancel other players’ actions, steal other player’s cards, see the future, and force other players to swallow your risk of drawing the exploding kitten-all seem stupid and ineffective compared to a defuse card.BUT don’t let that fool you. If the other players expend themselves to collect all the defuse cards, steal them! Or if you know where the exploding kitten is, you can force the other players to attack. Or if someone is doing this stuff to you, you can cancel their actions. Beware if they cancel your cancellation! You might have to cancel their cancellation of your cancel.Yes, the first run was boring as hell. My spouse kept wanting to play the game and I kept biting my cheek. But then I discovered that there is more strategy than meets the eye. Yes, there’s chance, but there usually is in most board and card games. It really wouldn’t be a card game without some element of chance. But it’s not ALL chance. Where do you put the exploding kitten once you’ve drawn it and defused it? You can force the next player to draw it, but maybe they would expect that. You have to play against the other players, trying to figure out what they would do, or how you think they are going to play. It’s not as straightforward as it seems. So I like it now, and I’m the one initiating game play. However, it still is not as interesting as I expected when we backed it on kickstarter. There was a lot of hype, and it’s not as complex a game as I hoped for. It’s still a solid game, and do recommend it. The artwork on the cards is a lot of fun to read during the game– especially the exploding kittens cards– but I don’t know if I’d let kids play with it. I guess it depends on your kids. Most of the cards are fine, but some of them are just a little bit off– unsurprising from the author of the Oatmeal. They’re a little bit akin to Ren & Stimpy cartoons. If you’d let your kid watch Ren & Stimpy, then these cards are fine for them. A mom who played the game with us on our initial run said that she wouldn’t know how to explain the “thousand year back hair” attack card or the “ask for a back hair shampoo” favor cards to her 8 and 9 year olds. Or “feasting on a unicorn enchilada to gain its enchilada powers”. It’s nothing truly inappropriate for seven year olds, just a little weird.

Inconsistent size and color? – check if you got a fake original edition!
After playing Exploding Kittens at a friends house I decided that I needed to have this in my game collection as well. I purchased the original Exploding Kittens game, the Streaking Kittens expansion as well as the Imploding Kittens expansion pack on Amazon a little while ago. The game itself is fabulous but I do have a huge issue with the difference in quality and size for all three items. The original is somewhat pale red in appearance, has no texture and measures approximately 62mmx87mm per each card The first expansion is darker in color, has a grid like texture and measures approximately 63mmx88mm per each card The second expansion is darker shade of red in color, has a grid like texture and measures approximately 63mmx88mm per each cardThis might seem mediocre to some people but fact is that the size difference makes shuffling quite awkward. The color and texture difference further enables some really attentive players to figure out what the opponent has on hand. I have included some pictures of my cards as well. Hoping to be able to purchase another set of these cards with identical quality, size and appearance to make playing this game more fun.UPDATE: Well, it appears that some exploding kittens versions sold here are cheap knock of versions which results in inconsistent size and color issues as described by me in above. Meanwhile I have gotten The Original edition directly from the manufacturer and here are some pictures of my two versions.Original Box: is darker shade of read and reads ORIGINAL EDITION in the top right corner, has cut outs on the sides for easy opening, has holographic stick in the back next to the barcode, the card tray is flat black in color and deep enough to accommodate the entire original edition AND expansion packs and (as described in above) there is a size and texture difference between knock off and the real deal.Fake Box: Is slightly lighter in color and does NOT have the original edition written in the top right corner, no cut outs on the sides for easy pening, no holographic sticker in the back, very shallow shiny cheap card tray that barely accommodates the original edition cards.Hoping this info helps others! If you too received a knock off at your first try I suggest you DEMAND a refund!

Great Game – Poor Card Quality
I’m breaking this review down into two categories: Gameplay and Quality of Product.Gameplay: Excellent. Really fun game that the entire family can play. As adults, we’d rather play this than a lot of other family style/card games. We also have a 13 year old, 6 year old and a 4 year old. Our older boy is the one who suggested it and it was a hit. Took about 2 open-hand games and 2 assisted games to get our 6 year old going, but after that he was good to go. Our 4 year old can even play on her own now after a couple weeks of watching and sitting with us…she really doesn’t need much help. There’s definitely a strategy involved and each game is quite different. Where it can get tough, is if an older player is very strategic and the younger players are more basic (like most games). There’s a lot more to it, than say Uno. Overall, for gameplay, it gets 5 STARS!Quality of Product: This where the stars drop for me. First, for $20, I was expecting more than just a deck of cards. I didn’t know what the game was but figured there would be more than just a deck in the box when I opened. In the end, I’m fine with the price. It’s a great game. BUT, the quality of the cards is about as cheap as you can get. We’ve had the game for a few weeks and played it quite a bit, but that cards are literally falling apart already. The corners are peeling apart a couple are ripped a little bit, just from normal shuffling. They’re so floppy now, it’s difficult to even shuffle them. Several cards are easy to pick out, based on the blemishes. This is especially tough when it comes to the Kitten or Defuse cards, the two most important sets of cards in the game. It changes everything if you can pick out a Kitten just by looking at the back side.It sucks, because I would seriously consider buying the expansion pack but the difference in the cards will be so noticeable, I’m not sure it would be worth it. Pretty disappointing because, like I said, it’s a great game….the quality of the cards is just so low. They really should be more laminated, like a good set of Bicycle cards or something, especially because it’s not like you can just go out and quickly (and cheaply) pick up another deck. I’d rather have less packaging and better cards.Soooo, yes, I would definitely recommend the game, just don’t expect it to last too long.

Idiot-proof instructions and review
This game is FUN. If you are a fan of the artist’s blog, you’ll enjoy it that much more, but knowing previous work is unnecessary. The game is fun, and at first reading sounds very complicated, but it is in fact simple and quick. And a lot of laughs. Don’t be afraid of the cards or illustrations… They are quirky and strange (like the blog 🙂 but not offensive. Okay, the TEENSIEST bit rude, yes. But funny. Wildly creative. This game allows 2-5 people to play. If you may have a larger group, do buy a second set of cards. It is money well invested. The game is like russian roulette. Each person draws a card. At any time you may draw an exploding kitten, and if you do, you die for the remainder of the hand. But, of course, there is more involved than that!!For the first round, keep the directions handy. You’ll need them. For subsequent rounds you will probably not need them much at all.To begin play, everyone is dealt a hand of four cards (look at them but show no one) and one defuse card. The defuse card is your lifeline. Hide it within your hand. (Once you draw an exploding kitten card, you are dead for the hand. UNLESS you can play a defuse card.) You can play any card you have available… Some cards allow you to draw a card from another player’s hand, some allow you to peek at what’s coming in the draw pile, or to skip your turn, or make the next player draw twice… You CAN play anything, but don’t NEED to play anything. Once you are finished playing, or if you’ve decided not to play anything, draw a card (and hope it isn’t an exploding kitten. If it is, play your defuse)If you run out of cards, that’s okay. Draw when it’s your turn. If you accumulate so many cards they are difficult to hold, that’s okay, too. (And better for saving your life!) Keep drawing at your turn. You are not penalized for cards you hold or play. The only goal is to survive drawing the exploding kittens within the deck, or to cause others to draw them. (there is an exploding kitten card in the deck for all but one player. One player survives the hand)Making any sense?? Order the cards, play a hand… It will all be made clear. It is a fast and silly game, very fun. Particularly with people who will enjoy the strange quirky weirdness of the illustrations. Choose your friends well.If you are still on the fence, just do it! What are a few exploded kittens between friends?

Spice Up Your Session!
The Barking Kittens Expansion pack is a fun expansion pack that adds more volume to a game of exploding kittens. If you are looking to entice to your gameplay with friends or family, I would recommend this for you. Has not bended in the years I have owned it, good for spicing up a game shesh. The only reason I am giving this 4/5 stars is becuase it’s not a crazy expansion pack but it does the job of making the game more interesting.

New classic
I got this game recommend by an aquintance who described it as a “new classic” and in all honesty, they were right on target. It is exciting, even in a two player setting, though it does become funnier and more nerve-wrecking in larger groups. The game is incredibly simple to play, it is very self-explanatory to the point that even your impatient friend who can’t bare to read the instructions beforehand will get a hang of it in the first turn.Completely recommend you buy it for your group of friends or rven your family.
