ANC is pretty good for the price
Pros:It’s better sound quality and ANC than what I was expecting for this price. Battery life is great also and charges veery quickly.Cons:The overall structure and all of the plastics are very fragile and broke quickly. The button/toggle thing on the back makes it tricky to lay on the couch or lay back in a chair.

An Average Mid-Tier OTEH
Pros:- Decent price point for the product- Fully covers ears- Comes with a carrying case- Holds a pretty good charge (that being said, I am using these intermittently)- Easily connects to computer Bluetooth (used TP-Link adapter, myself)-Easy to use controls (on each surface and on the sides)-Easy to follow instructional card-Decent sound qualityCons:~ Subpar noise cancellation. This is the biggest draw-back to me using these any more than I already am. They are on par with my Raycons that don’t have any external noise reduction features. I can hear everything happening in a room. There are 3 controls for noise cancellation: going from NC to awareness OR off makes you feel like you’re underwater and there is no discernible difference in noise cancellation between these three very different settings. When compared to something like an AirPod Pro, it’s not even in the same league.~Uncomfortable on head. These squeeze a little too tightly and when they’re shaped, they don’t hold the shape super well. Other headphones/headsets I’ve had over the years will hold a shape after a few days, but these just won’t budge.Overall, these are an average set of headphones. I don’t personally see anything special about them. If you’re trying to get a pair of headphones solely for the noise cancelling feature, I recommend not getting these. Otherwise, they’re alright.

Good But Som Issues
they were good in the beginning and still are they just wear out very easily and the stems of the headphones crack easily and don’t stay in place once you bend them but overall the sound is great and noise cancelling is very good.

Best quality for this price
Do not expect incredible sound quality and noice cancelation performance. But as a person who listens all details in the music including bases and background instruments, i can say that it is satisfactory enough for this price (it was 79 dolara when i purchased). ANC works good enough. Material quality is good. Your purchase includes also a bag. It is a plus also.

Decent budget alternative to pricier philips models
The sound quality of these headphones is solid— crisp mids and defined bass, not too tinny highs. The controls are very intuitive and easy to get used to, and they’re comfortable to wear. I really appreciate the overall design, which is minimalist and simple with no shiny bits or excessive branding. A lot of headphones in this price range try really hard to look futuristic or “industrial”, which often just makes them look tacky and less comfortable to wear. I like that these are just simple and utilitarian. The one gripe I have is that the construction doesn’t feel especially solid— not cheap by any means, just rather plasticky. However, I would still recommend this to anyone as a solid pair of headphones on a budget.

I use these every day
These headphones are light enough to wear for hours, hold a charge for 2 days of use, can be used normally even while paired to a device in a different room, and are pretty comfortable for me, though they don’t open quite big enough for my housemate’s head. I didn’t want the noise-cancelling feature and it’s actually too effective for me, but for someone who wants everything but their music muffled I imagine it would be great. The only problem I’ve had with these is that (probably the same as most close-backed over-ear headphones) it can be painfully loud if something taps or scrapes the headphones while I am wearing them. A bit of rubber or other insulation between the headband and each earpiece would help a bit, but I think this is just an inherent trade-off with this kind of headphone.

Bad sound quality
I can listen to speaking with these headphones but they are not good for music. There’s so much bass it’s like being in a low rider and the higher ranges are not clear. I have been using them to listen to the news online and was waffling about returning them but now it’s too late and I am sorry I waited. There also doesn’t seem to be an indicator of battery strength. The buttons are clunky. The earpieces are very comfortable.

Great quality affordable price
I normally tend to shop lower prices and tend to think higher prices aren’t that much better quality, I was wrong. My wife likes to fall asleep with the tv on and I don’t so I play white noise with headphones to drown out whatever TV show she has going on. These headphones are so sound proof I normally don’t even need to play a sound to block outside noise. If I ever do play a noise I can’t even hear what’s happening right next to me. The comfort level is amazing and could even fall asleep with them on if I wanted

Producto a buen precio

Good Sound while New. Build Quality Subpar for Price
Im somewhat satisfied with the product. May update when I’ve had it for some time, but for now, the sound quality is amazing. I love it. The mic works great as well – the people on the other end of the call can hear me.The earcups are a bit small for my ears. They fit well, but they are noticeably smaller than my previous pair of cheaper headphones. They also warm up very quickly. It didnt take long for me to start sweating around my ears (less than 10 minutes). Thankfully, the pads dont soak up the sweat.I’d rather the touch pad didnt exist and there were just buttons. Sometimes my palm accidentally touches it for too long and activates Google Assistant while im trying to adjust the headphones. The tapping also doesnt work for playing / pausign the music. The swipping does work though for volume control (but only on my phone, it doesnt work when connected to my laptop)Edit : knocking the review down a star. I’ve been having an issue with the headphones recently. For some reason, sometimes when I connect them to my phone, it alters the sound. It’s hard to describe. I can hear some slight static in the background and all the voices and music sounds like it’s an octave lower than it should be.Edit #2 : knocking the review down another star. I’ve had these headphones for about 6 months and the subpar build quality is starting to show. Its still fully functional, but the price this pair carries, it doesnt show in the durability of these headphones. Everything still functions, but there are some minor issues that im sure will continue to get worse. For one, the “folding” mechanism no longer holds them open. Before there was a noticeable ‘click’ / shift between when they were in their full form and when they ears were bent in. its loosened now to the point that it casually swings open and closed. not a big deal though. my other complaint is that the padding that rests on top of your head is starting to come undone. the black leather-like material has started to separate from the headband, exposing the foam padding underneath.

I use these headphones daily, the stitching on the top cushion came apart after about 6 months. The left earcuff completely disintegrated in about 8 months where it expands, cheap material. Great sound though

Great purchase for the price
My only issues are that the ambient noise mode makes the music SO quiet. The active noise canceling is amazing though. It’s seriously like some dark wizard magic.🧟♂️ The only other issue is that it is tight enough to bother my ears while wearing glasses but somehow not tight enough to stay on while I’m doing sit ups or planks. 🤔

OK For The Price
My main ANC headphone costs 3X more then this. With an upcoming international trip I did not want to risk leaving it behind. So I got this Philips. My two primary issues are:1. Power switch feels somewhat flimsy2 ANC not as goodHowever, had I not had the other expensive unit, and simply compared with the sub-$50 units this would be a 5 star.

3 but then 4. I’ll explain
so these are a great value for the price. They are like 75% of the sony xm4 which are 3 times the price. Downside, its micro usb, the volume maxes out at like 75% of what I would like but doesn’t have the stupid ding noise sonys have with every level change.I like the way these get into the Google assistant and alexa with a hold over cup. The ambient mode completely mutes the music, well like 90%… would prefer like a 50/50 music to ambient noise. No app which really sucks. But overall for wstch tv at night, these are a better choice for the price.I had to return mine because the virtual buttons on the earful stopped for 2 days but then came back and worked. I decided to upgrade to sony xm4 but I’m not like blown out of water. Save your money and get a cheaper pair. Or even xm3s

They’re ok, but better than $20 headphones
I’ve owned these for over 3 months and it’s showing through the connectivity.I don’t turn these up super Loud but just enough to drown out gym music. I can still hear ppl talking or the quiet beep of my jump rope. They muffle noises but will not cancel them. The sound isn’t terrible and tinny like cheap headphones. But it’s not high quality like air pods.I don’t sweat heavy so I’m not sure what’s going on with the connection. Sometimes, it’ll seem like my phone is 100 feet away but it’s in my pocket.Charge lasts a pretty long time. I charge them about twice a month and I use them 3xs a week for at least an hour each time. The buttons… That power button is a bih!!!! It takes at least two attempts to turn it on and it’s literally impossible to turn them off while they’re on your head. The button to power on is the same button to adjust volume. The button moves too fluidly to be able to push it down and hold it properly. Definitely needs a separate power button.

I am spoiled
I got this because the office has gotten loud again now that everyone is returning to the office. ANC works well enough. Not complete silence, but much quieter than passive noise isolation, so that is quite nice. As a few other reviews mentioned, it is fairly tight around the head, but I expect it will loosen with use so I am not too bothered. As far as durability goes, the body is mostly plastic with the exception of the adjustment band which seems to be metal (aluminum?). Many of my headphones like to crack in that section if it is plastic, so that’s a plus. Now the big question: sound quality of the headphones and mic. My last headset was an Audeze Mobius. Absolutely beautiful sound and a clear mic that picked up no background noise even in a noisy environment, 10/10 will recommend 100% of the time every time if you are willing to spend the money. In comparison, these sounded distant or almost muffled. I tried a voice call with a friend and they said it sounded like I was talking through a sock. These are not the worst headphones I’ve had in this price range, and it is nice to have some quiet at work, but I’ll looking elsewhere once mine fall apart.

Great for price!
Love these! They are perfect for the price! Bass is really good in my opinion, a little surprising. Took a minute to figure out how to pause and the instructions are the best but still love them. They fold up and come with a carrying case and type-c charger. Noise cancellation is mid-tier but it’s better than none at the gym!

Love!
I bought these to replace my Seinheiser HD 280 pros. I loved them but they were not wireless and when connected to an iPad they fell and the jack broke. I should’ve gotten them fixed by the company but now they don’t offer that service anymore, so I bought these.I use these Phillips headphones mostly when I’m flying or when I wanna watch TV late at night and my partner is asleep.I love the fact that they came with an option convertible wired jack to plug it in on international flights. Everyone else had to use the staticy cheap ines that they gave you free on the flight. The sound quality is nice. The noise canceling is pretty good. The volume controls are actually built into the side of the headphone. The bluetooth pairing is pretty easy once you know how to do it too. My only complaint is that if they’re not charged you can’t use them at all, even with the cable. For just under 100 bucks I would say that they are the best you can get for the money. Please keep in mind that you should not wear headphones for eight hours a day. You can damage your ears! These Phillips headphones also came with a semi rigid carrying case that’s very nice.I would recommend them.

Owned these now for a year, mostly loved them
I wear these almost every day, I’ve had them now for a year, and this is my experience:My head gets hot and that means sweat. There is some minor wear on the pads, clearly from the sweat (see photo), even though I wipe them off after every use. I wear these sometimes for an hour when I’m working out, so this makes sense and overall, they’ve held up well. The bluetooth has always worked great for me, no glitches in one year of use.The loss of one star is from the stupid google assistant, which I don’t use but which will tell me it’s not available if I accidentally touch the right-side earpad. It does not pause whatever I’m listening to, so I’m just interrupted by ‘the google assistant is not available’ and this is a feature I really wish I could turn off.Pretty good headphones overall.

The Google Assistant is not connected
“The Google Assistant is not connected”That’s all you’ll hear if you attempt to use these headphone’s touch controls to pause and play your music. Instead of simply giving you a button for these functions, you’re supposed to cup your hand around the right ear speaker. The worst part about that notification is that it plays over whatever you’re listening to instead of momentarily pausing it. The touch pause/play function has honestly only worked for me about 10% of the time and I’ve been wearing these in my office since October 2022.The sound itself is mediocre with low volume levels and poor bass. The build quality isn’t great either, the plastic shell has started to crack after moderate use. Finally, these headphones are a bit tight and uncomfortable for more than a couple hours.1 star out of 100.

Nifty in theory, but not for everyone
Overall, the sound quality is excellent and will carry an even and clear sound. If I’m listening to a song with subtle details in the bass or instrumentation, those details will be heard as well. I use this while on public transit and on my bicycle and it works as a quality, low to mid price device for commuters.Pros: sound quality, and tension keeps the device on your head even when you’re moving. I love the option to plug in with a 1/8″ audio jack, which can save on battery life, but I don’t use this feature often because the battery lasts a long time.Cons: placement of the ANC (ambient noise canceling) switch and touch controls. If you move around a lot, you may trigger the ANC switch with your shoulder. If you pass the device to your friend to listen to, they may accidentally turn the volume all the way down or up with the touch sensor.

Bluetooth headphone with a serious flaw
The headphone is very good in terms of comfort, weight and design. It has Bluetooth 5.0 which is great but only supports SBC codec over Bluetooth. It does not support APTX or APTX-HD. So the audio bit-rate supported over Bluetooth is low. This headset does not support HI-Res audio over Bluetooth connectivity. There is some good rumbling sound it produces and the headphones vibrates on the ears. This headset have an overall satisfactory audio quality but it leaves a lot to be desired. The overall loudness at maximum volume is not “Too Loud” for anyone’s ears. In spite of all that, there is a serious shortcoming on this headphones. This headphone cannot handle low frequency Bass at max or close to max volume. The sound distorts and crackles whenever there is a low bass sound in the mix if you are close to max volume. This can only be handled by bringing down the max volume by at least 3-4 clicks on your device. Bringing down the volume towards 60-70% looses details from the audio as these headphones are not too loud. Also, I don’t understand what is the point of advertising this headphone as Hi-Res Audio compatible if it is not supported over Bluetooth. I cannot imagine a person who would buy Bluetooth headphones and uses it as a wired connection for better audio. These are certainly not studio quality. But apart from the issue described above, there is not much difference between wired or wireless connection to general ears.Lastly, the Noise cancellation is not very effective either. With ‘ANC ON’ I could still hear my AC noise, refrigerator noise etc. The Ambient mode seems to be working okay by lowering volume to about 20-30% and letting more surrounding sound to be entered.Overall, I am not satisfied with these headsets and the quest for “The One” needs to continued.

Work nicely
these work great in my opinion. I’ve had these for almost a year now and they still work like new! the sound is great. the noise cancellation is awesome, and my god… the battery! I could go a week with one full charge.Something i’ve had a problem with is the touch pad on the side. I’ll sometimes accidently tap it when leaning on my hand and activate the google assistant. I’ve noticed i haven’t been the only one with this problem. Another thing is that the headphones look more greenish/bronze than black or silver which is weird. I can’t tell if the color faded weirdly over time or if they’ve always been this way. Lastly, the power button is weird to where you have to hold the button for about 5-7 seconds before it powers on or shuts off. This causes me to sometimes think it’s off when i’m actually just wasting battery. This is just my personal experience though, hope this helped. I personally think its worth the 100 bucks

Sadly, I would like to luv this headphones
UPDATE JAN 2022.Sadly, I really would like to luv this headphones, but this is not the outcome of my experience. After light use, always at home I got to say that my personal experience has not been a bed of roses.PROS: Sound quality still really good. The case is great to keep them out of dust, mine still might look as new but will tell more after. Battery still lasting long.CONS: it broke… still playing music but the pad on top start falling a part (I add an image). The presure on your head is still to much so I end with headaches or pain in skull behind my ears. Bluetooth connection is ok but when I am away like 7 or 8 mts start having problems. Earpads still stiff and not very comfortable. I really wish I found a way to exchange those, but I haven’t been lucky to find a video or description how to dismantle those pads from this particular headphones; Philips do not give any kind of support on that respect so bad point for that company. Cable to listen in high quality is flat and that is ok, but the connector is small so the cable bends to close and probably will be broken very soon (I think they could design something better)In general I CAN’T RECOMMEND THIS PAIR OF HEADPHONES AND I WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER PAIR IN THE FUTURE. Even the sound quality is really good :-(. I read from a guy who can¡t hear BASS on this, well,I disagree but probably he like those headphones with MegaBass systems which is not my personal preference. Do not forget to use your equalizer to tune to your taste.ORIGINAL REVIEW:Perfectly packaged. It is awesome to get this beautiful (THEY ARE REALLY GOOD LOOKING) headphones with the hard case to protect them and for travel. People has been complaining about noise cancellation but mine works perfect… the only thing I do not like much is between songs I can listen little hiss from it so I rather to use it off but when are ON really blocks all noise from the street which is the way should work. So when is rush hour I turn ON and peace came to my ears…I like to listen many music genera, from barroque, to Glam or some Heavey metal, blues, jazz, rock and people critizing headphones for bass etc.. but in general you have to tune for each genera your equalizer, but is not only for each genera but also for each pair of different headphones or speakers you are going to use. For most people that is not an issue so is a personal preference.SOUND of this Philips is good.I try talking on the phone, and people said that they hear me like I was in a bucket or something like that… but to me their voices are crystal clear, but looks like my voice sound different but I did not experience that they do not understand me clear so I think works fine.Construction, materials etc… are as good as BOSE or SONY, probably this ones are more confortable to me and this ones fit better to me, earpads are super soft!!!! really confortable. The head pressure is little tight, not very disconfortable but makes me feel the pair of headphones on my head all the time.CONTROLS, I read some reviews about people having issues with their controls, well… READ THE MANUAL, is really easy and clear and works perfect as described by Philips. I do not use google assitant, mainly because you just open your mic to let google hear you whatever they can thru the mic (Probably they already doing it LOL).Another thing… Volume. Headphones have their own volume scale which is differnt from the source (phone, MAC or whatever u are using) so keep that in mind, try to protect your ears not listeing to high and learn to listen in lower mid volume so your ears need to be train for detailes (Just a personal sugestion). So If you want high volume, pump up the volume on source and headphones.I will try to update my review after the summer to see how battery last, if starts to breaking apart or moving parts start making noise or something like that. I hope this review helps you to decide to get this ones or not.Totally recomended, I got a great price, otherway I would finished buying some chinese cheap headphones.Bluethooth connection has been super relieble and can be around 10m (30ft) away from source in dofferent rooms.WOW, Bach start… got to listen this. Have a great day enjoy your music.**************************************UPDATE AFER A MONTH OF USE:**************************************Well, I wish I would like to fall in love of this headphones, but I am glad I had a chance to update my review about them. After a month of daily use I got my list and why I decide to reduce to a 4 stars my review.PROS: Battery is amazing, I only chaged once few days ago and the continue playing, will see how long the battery really last, then what is my question… Do I have to buy a new pair? Will Philips be kind to replace the battery?Sound still really good.Design is nice and most of the materials used are great.Connection has been tip top, no issues about it.I love that they came with the case, is really cool to have one with this quality. When I use with cable is also really good, and I do not hear the cable sound like on those small headphones that came with your phone.CONS: The only but very important cons I found were the earpads, mine were really confortable the first week, after that I need to constant change position of the headphones to avoid pain in my ears or my head which is no good, probably I shoud give 3 stars only but sound is really good. I do not know if I can replace those pads for different kind. The left and the right side have different shapes, left one has some bulky points on foam and are not cushing that well anymore.Material of pads is really soft, but because are leather or PU (fake leather) make them hot after long periods, but I live in a cold city so that is not a mayor concern.I don’t know if pads are made of memory foam but maybe I might need different kind, probably for someone else works that is why I only take one star only, is a personal experience. If any one know how to change those pads I appreciate your comments and help. The pressure from the headphones itself is strong, so probably if you consider that you have a big head, I recomend avoid them, brand new are so soft but after days of using you will notice. I would like to give a second chance if I can change the PADS maybe that helps in my experience using this beautiful headphones.

Great Alternative from Sony and Bose
Being a crazy avid user of over ear headphones i’ve used many of the top spec products out there before, I had both the Sony XM3 and the Bose QC 35II and they were amazing. In need of a new replacement for my worn out QC35IIs I wanted to try something new but not break the bank. That’s where I literally stumbled across these as they looked really similar at first glance to my XM3’s. I never heard of Philips making noise cancelling headphones before and through a quick youtube search it seems like no mainstream youtuber reviewed these pairs of headphones either. I tried my luck and decided to give these a go and im definitely pleased given its price. Ill go over its pros and cons below and since im no audiophile knowing what’s the right mix of highs and lows I will give my unprofessional opinion. Note that I got these for under 100$ because of a holiday sale. Take that in mind when you read the review and for the price you currently have.PROS:~ Great battery life, advertised as 30 hours and I got around 25-27 hours on mid-high volume.~ Quality on the band and the ear pieces are great. Didn’t notice any creaking of the plastic or flexing that caused any housing to pop out.~ Fairly comfortable. The ear cup design and cutout definitely mirrors the XM3’s, while these are not as good as the QC35IIs (which imo are industry leading in comfort), I would say they are actually slightly better than the XM3’s. I felt the XM3’s were more stuffy on my ear and the clamping pressure of the band made it uncomfortable to wear after 4-5 hours. I’ve been wearing these Philips for 6-7 hours at a time and I didn’t really notice any major discomfort. Of course, each person’s head shape is different and comfort varies upon the individual.~ For those who love bass, I think these were amazing, even slightly overpowering for me. They are comparable to the XM3’s.~ sound quality is great, it sounds just like the industry leading XM3’s and better than the QC35II’s. I have been using my Airpods pro a lot and these are miles better in sound quality.~ noise cancellation works well for its price range.~ carrying pouch it comes with is well made and compact enough to slide in your backpack.CONS:~ the ambient sound feature is absolutely horrible on these headphones. For those who don’t know ambient it lets you hear your surroundings better without you needing to take of your headphones. Even with these on I can’t really hear anything outside. For reference, my AirPods pro ambient feature uses the microphones to enhance the outside noise and it makes it feel like you’re not wearing earphones at all. These Philips do not do that at all.~ the microphones on these headphones are not great. I would not recommend using these when calling.~ the OK google tap function can get very annoying. every time I accidentally brush across the ear cup I activate the OK google function. Furthermore, I couldn’t find a way to activate siri instead of google. Other brands at this price point offer this feature.~ Touch controls to control volume were very difficult at first to get use to. You need to do more of a tap than a swipe. But once you master this, then the volume controls work great.~ on my second picture, you can see that the ring of plastic changes to a more piano black which picks up scratches and fingerprints like crazy. I wish they used a consistent design throughout the ear cup.Overall, I would say at my purchase price these were definitely a bargain for its quality. While it’s not as amazing with fancy features as the top Sony and Bose headphones, I received these at a fraction of their price. If you see a sale of these for under 100$ I would go for it for sure!

Good entry level ANC headphones
Notice: these pictures are after 2 years of moderate use!Ordered these headphones as my first ANC headphones and after 2 years and plenty of use they finally gave out.The ANC is decent but has some left to be desired. Has a very nice balance between highs/mid but lacks a little bit of lower end bass. (Note bass and NC affect can be boosted by increasing pressure on ear cups however not practical) overall the quality of sound is nice but even first time listening to it I knew it could be better. The gesture control / buttons are easy and convenient to get used to however the Google assistant function is a (press and hold) on the right earcup and was constantly getting triggerd TF they were wet or pretty much anything besides clothes contacted the earcup which was annoying. (Can’t be turned off)Served me well for the time that it did and I feel like it is a good choice for the price point. Replaced these with a $300 pair from Bose and first impressions makes me say if you have the money for it get those but if I was more tight with money I would order another pair of these.

Sounds Good But…
I am like different headphones for different kinds of music and have shied away from bluetooth type headphones because most of the ones I see are closed back. I own a pair of Phillips X2HR phones so I thought I would give these a try. The idea of not being tethered to my computer or music source quite appealed to me. Everything that follows are my opinions. Also, most of the comparisons I make are based on open back headphones specifically designed for great audio reproduction.First, the good: Music reproduction of these phones is good, not great, but pretty good. I miss the “wide open” sound that other phones reproduce. I really enjoy the fact I can move about the house and still hear my music. I love the capability of replaying or skipping a track from pushing a single button forward or back. I like being able to pause music when I take a phone call. I don’t use or care about the noise cancellation capability of this set. I like to listen to my music but not be cut off from the rest of the world. They are very comfortable, light weight and don’t clamp your head like a vise. Even with the noise cancellation feature turned off they very much seem like quality closed back headphones. Now, the not so good: I really like being able to adjust the volume by running fingers up or down the right headphone, in fact, I think that is really a cool feature, however in my opinion I think it is very poorly implemented because 3 out of 4 times when I try to adjust the volume I get an audio message stating “the Google Assistant is Not Connected.” In fact if you accidentally touch the right headphone that irritating message interrupts whatever you might be listening to. Seriously? Does Google have to be a part of everything?I really like these headphones, the price is decent and they sound pretty good but I would never recommend them because of the Google interruptions. I bought a different headset (Soundcore Q30) which are about as good sound-wise as the Phillips.

Truly surprisingly good performance
Highs:- Excellent noise canceling performance- Really nice fit and finish, comfortable to wear- Excellent build quality and durability (hinges seem very sturdy)- Easy to use, with very functional touch control- Good design, not intrusive or overly flashy (sophisticated in my eyes)- Easy to connect and Google Assistant functions are great (i am using a Pixel 3A XL)- Updated firmware (auto prompted me this) upon connecting the first time- Versatile folding positions- Awareness mode (so I can be aware of the surrounding without having to take these off)- Super fast charging timesLows:- Not the lightest but understandable with the quality of materials they are using- MicroUSB and not USB-C- Power button sometimes take a bit longer to shut off (have to hold down more than 3 seconds)- 2.5mm jack in instead of 3.5mm- Not the most bass heavy (this is both a good and a bad, depending on taste)Summary:These are surprisingly a great pair of ANC headphones that performs just as well as the Sony WH-1000XM3, the gold standard in ANC headphones, while costing almost $100 less than the Sony! It isn’t as functional when it comes to tuning its audio profiles but in terms of everyday usability and its ANC performance, it gets a 9/10 from me.Build quality is amazing for a sub $200 headphone, the leather, memory foam, hinges, and even the paint on the earcups are textured perfectly so that these should last a good few years of heavy usage with no worries.Audio quality is above average but it does lack the smartphone software that allows you to adjust the EQ and such on the headphones but I think this can be compensated by adjusting the EQ on the music player you are using. I tried playing some FLAC on a non-amplified line using the 3.5mm to 2.5mm cable that is included, it does a great job of delivering clear highs and mids without muddles from the bass. It definitely excels at the trebles, an indication that this is great for clear conversations too. And yes, calls are extremely clear when I use this for regular phone and VOIP conversations on my phone.Connecting to the phone is easy once it is paired, turning it on does the job automatically. Pairing is easy too, hallmarks of a good BT 5.0 implementation. It even show a picture of the PH805 on my phone after I click on its name in the Bluetooth devices. There are 3 excellent party tricks that makes this an excellent steal at $180 or so.1. The 3 ways that it folds: flat fold, curl fold, and flat and curl fold (where it fits in the pouch)2. Awareness mode turns down the music and broadcasts the environmental noise so that you hear whats around you easily and can carry a conversation with the person in front of you while wearing it, which is quite fun/funny but useful on commutes3. Google Assistant: I actually started looking at my phone less and less now that I own this pair of headphones. Having Google Assistant able to read back any text messages, even messages in Line app because that function is enabled when wearing this headphone means that I can focus more on work and not get distracted by the many other things going on on my phone! And having the touch control on the earcup, without any additional markings, is a great design in nature.4th bonus party trick: its touch control is really useful for turning up and down the volume, no more trying to find the volume rocker or buttons, just swipe at the right ear-cup and it adjusts the volume, although slowly.

Good and effective. Wish it was tighter
Good and effective. Wish it were tighter around the cranium. I use it for the gym but when I lay flat on the bench it slides backwards. But it is good for the money . Not cheap or tinny sounding.

Nice sound and the right price.
Pros would be that it does provide some noise cancellation, but that is to be expected with any set of over-the-ear closed-back headphones. They fit comfortably (thus far), and the sound is pretty nice for the price. A good balanced sound, with enough bass, etc.The 30-hour battery life is a great claim, we will have to see if it lives up to it before I can give a rating on that, since I just bought it. But that would explain the 2-hour charging time.Cons would be- it came with an extremely short charging cable- less than 2 inches long? Fortunately I had a normal length charging cable with exactly the same end and a charger, so it wasn’t a big issue.Another potential con is the swiveling hinges on the ear pieces- this seems like a weak point in the construction, and after owning them for a long period of time, I can see them falling apart at these particular points. I know I’ve owned enough bluetooth headphones that the joints where they either fold or swivel are ALWAYS the weakest points in the construction- and I know I have replaced two units that were still working great as far as the electronics- pairing, connecting, playing great sound, etc- because the joints fell apart and I couldn’t physically wear them anymore.I hope this is not the case with these phones, because I like how they look, and how they sound, and I have bought a hardshell case to carry them in to prevent unnecessary wear and tear from dropping them, spilling something on them, etc, etc.I have owned other Philips products, including a Professional Series home theatre amp that I’ve had for ten plus years which still puts out great sound- and I’m hoping my confidence in the brand will not be misplaced.

Good product
This product is a good choice for anybody looking to buy a relatively inexpensive headset. The noice cancellation is not the best, but audio is pretty good; better than what I was expecting.

great quality and comfortable but terrible sound leakage
I was looking for a pair of headphones and I wanted something lower priced to start out since I normally stick to my airpods. Overall these are pretty comfortable, I have a small head so they do slip around a little but they cover my ears rather than sitting on ear uncomfortably. Having an actual pair of headphones is great and the sound is ten times better than my airpods, however, the sound leakage is very bad. If I take them off and push them off to the side, even when the volume is very low I can still hear this music. This isn’t great especially since I bought them to wear around campus. So these certainly won’t be replacing my airpods, but they’re a good addition.

Good sound – bad controls
Really good sound and build quality for the $100 plus price point Loved the sound. ANC was great. They fit snug. The rest of the build quality was solid. They looked and fit great too. Another plus is the hard shell case that they come in. I would have loved to use this for travel. But I returned these day one. Here are my reasons. No app from Philips. Just used the built in Bluetooth which relies on Google Assistant (Android). The touch control gets stuck between failing to pause/play and launching the very annoying Google assistant. Touch failed to work well even after disabling Google Assistant. Given I did not feel I could even pause playback reliably, this was a deal breaker for $150 headphones.Minor complaints: Had an issue where the manual control button felt like it could break in a few weeks of use. The fake leather made my ears uncomfortably hot after twenty minutes or so. No USB-C butt instead micro USB. Weird 2.5 mm to 3.5 mm jack. Cheap cable included for both the power and audio jack. Microphone recorded my voice very sub par compared to higher end headphones.

PH802: Solid headphones for the price
I’ll try to keep this pretty straightforward, but overall I recommend buying these at the price. This is for the PH802 model, not the PH805What is different between PH802 and PH805?-Bluetooth 4.2 vs 5-No touch feature (not a loss because the slide/press all in one control is way efficient imo)-No case.-Lastly, no ANC obviously (but after trying ANC on other models at this price range of 100 + or – 50 dollars and comparing to the reviews on the PH805, and considering the sound quality loss with ANC on, one really isn’t missing much unless you fly or work in a very loud environment).Sound Quality-Pretty sharp overall. Rush of emotion when you listen to vocals. Some awkward noise on high pitched snares in Bluetooth mode. Unfortunately, this is an issue with bluetooth and can be solved by plugging them in. Definitely recommend plugging in for listening to rock.Build Quality-Smooth. Nice padding and overall craftsmanship. A bit fragile around the fold joints though, so get a case and dont throw it around obviously.Comfort & Fit-Covers my ear entirely. Feels good. After about an hr though I need to take a bit of a break to let the ears get some air flow. I can do pushups or lay down without them moving at all. Honestly a nice fit.OverallI’d say between the PH802 and 805, the 50 dollars extra (with the PH805 on sale) is a toss up in the air and depends on if you think you’ll need the case and ANC. If you need a case and want BT 5.0, buy the PH805. But assuming the PH805 goes back up to $199, I’d say these are a much better value for the price.A well balanced sound leaning more towards a positive impression vs “meh average”, quality build and comfort.Hope that helps! Props Phillips.

great battery life, comfortable, not too flashy
I love the excellent sound quality. I’m a college student and didn’t want to break the bank for some headphones so I found these. They’re budget-friendly and have excellent battery life. 45 hours of battery life with noise canceling on, is so good!! I bought them used for cheaper and I did have some trouble connecting them since I don’t think they were disconnected but other than that, I love them!

Top Dollar Sound
First things first: these are the best sounding headphones I personally have ever used. Some brands I’ve used include JBL, Apple, Taotronics, Jaybird, and Beats among a few others. These blow those out of the water, which is suprising, because I’ve never strongly associated Philips with sound technology. These headphones are very well balanced, and are pretty close to neutral sounding. Bass is clear and strong, but it doesn’t drown out the highs and mids. All frequencies are quite clear. No frequency is competing with one another. The sound remains clear at all volume levels. For the sake of preserving my own hearing, I haven’t cranked these up all the way, but I’ve gone up to about 75%,and they were very loud. I should also note that these sound best when wired to your device you’re listening to with the included aux cord. In Bluetooth mode, there is a little more background fuzziness than what you often hear with Bluetooth headphones. It’s a tad distracting at first, but easy to ignore pretty quickly. Just thought I’d point that out. There’s zero background noise in wired mode, however. The Bluetooth controls via a single button are handy. There’s no active noise cancelling, but enough sound gets blocked out for my liking. I must also note that the comfort level of these headphones are phenomenal. The substantial padding on the top and on the ears make it to where hours of use will not make you sore. The build quality is sturdy, yet undeniably plastic-y, but that’s to be expected at this price range. Overall, if you are just after amazing, mostly neutral, yet still slightly punchy sound, definitely give these a shot. I love them! I just docked 1 star because of the noticeable bluetooth background noise and the fact there’s no controls on the aux cord.

No Help From Customer Service
I bought these to help me through work and for some gaming. After 2 months the covering of the cushion started to fall apart. I connected it to my account through their site so I thought they would be able help me.It took them 6 months of multiple phone calls, emails, and even talking to their Twitter account before I finally got an email saying “No we can’t”.I wouldn’t of cared if they just said “Sorry we can’t do anything” in the beginning but after 6 months is ridiculous. As for the headphones themselves, they are really good sounding but the UI is really annoying and but you get used to it. The noise cancellation is amazing but that’s easily the only good thing about it.

Good ANC, lots of bass
I have a pair of Avantree ANC over ear headphones that are ok. These Philips ones fill in all the gaps of the Avantree, more full sound, smaller folding footprint and the ANC cuts out most of the low-high freq. noise as tested with a Bose speaker playing loudly in my home with an airplane sim track on. The Avantree only cut out the low freq sound and that made them just barely acceptable for use on planes. I’m very optimistic about these Philips headphones. The iOS app is also a nice feature for added EQ functionality. I disabled the touch controls because at first trial I found them to be imprecise.

Impossible controls and heavy.
These headphones aren’t bad by a long shot, but the design falls short in more than one area, making the user experience and comfort less than desirable.Pros:I found them to have pretty good noise cancellation and sound quality (although I am noy a very experienced headphone user), the sound is quite bass heavy though.Fit well over the earNice storage caseCons:After about 15 minutes wearing them, they start to become very uncomfortable to wear and even hurt the top of your head, due to their weight. I have not had this experience with other headphones I have owned. The controls are very bad. It’s better to just have buttons, because the touch controls are horrible. Swiping to adjust the volume actually works very well, but all of the other controls do not. When trying to tap the headphones to pause a song, the Google assistant would activate every time. Didn’t matter where I pressed on the sensor, it would always wake her. Once or twice when I got lucky it would actually pause my music, but 99% of the time it would just activate the assistant. Disabling the assistant didn’t work either, so that’s not a solution.Tl; DrOverall, they’re not bad headphones if you don’t mind them being very heavy and not being able to pause your music through the headphone controls.
