Buy it on SALE!!!!
Great mouse so far! It is one of the bigger mouses I’ve owned. I love how sensitive/smooth it is. I also love the way it feels in the hand. My hand rests perfectly on it. Way better than the traditional oval Logitech mouse I had. Gotta say for $30 its great! But if i had to pay full $50 price, I wouldve returned it. No RGB colors, just white. When you click it, it just doesnt feel like a $50 click to me. There isnt a DPI button. $50 is too expensive to only have 2 extra side buttons. If it wasnt such a clean white with a “fancy” logo, dont think I’d like it as much. But the fact it was on sale and it completes my white gaming theme. Gotta say I love it anyways!!!

Lifetime
This mouse has had a middle-mouse malfunction that is still active and hard to cope with. When I use it for the first few weeks, it works very well. Almost like a dream. Once I reach the first month, my webpage scrolling, game UI/settings scrolling, and even preferences scrolling for my main drive directories bounce up and down when I touch it slightly.

At The Price Point, Its Solid.
There is nothing special about this in terms of quality. But at its price point, what it intends to do which is serve as a gaming mouse, its pretty good.

Gaming a lot? Just buy something else
I’ve used this mouse for a little over a year now, and I can say that this mouse is (barely) okay if you’re on a budget and want a white mouse without RGB; however:The mouse feels very low quality. I used a black Deathadder mouse before buying this white one, and that felt like it was made of better quality material than this white mouse, which is super strange because they are supposed to be the same model but with different colors. This white mouse just feels like it’s made out of smooth, cheap plastic and does not feel satisfying to hold compared to the black Razer Deathadder. I also used my boyfriend’s Razer Mamba (Priced at $50 at the time of this review) for a few days, and going back to this white Razer mouse felt so disappointing and uncomfortable. The mouse also does not have the DPI buttons mentioned in its description. It also does not have the rubber side grips it mentions in the title. The side grips are just ridges in the plastic. Pretty frustrating that the seller is lying about these features.I purchased this mouse at $30, and it’s barely worth that price. If it was the full price of $50, I would definitely not recommend this mouse because of the low-feeling quality and the lack of buttons and features in general compared to other mice you can get at around the same price point. This mouse has served me fine as my first long-term mouse for gaming, but now I shall be looking for something way better and more comfortable. I would get the Razer Mamba I mentioned before, but it does not come in white. If you know you’re going to be gaming a bunch or using your computer a lot in general, do yourself a favor and save up extra cash to get something of more high quality and actually has the features promised. If you are just in it for the looks and/or don’t care too much about the feel of the mouse, this mouse will suit your needs.

Best $20 I’ve ever spent
Light cable, beautiful white coloring, and it will last for a good while.I’ve had this mouse for a few years now and I got it on sale for $20. I’ve loved it for a long time but I ended up getting another mouse. Not because of any issues with this mouse in particular but the ergonomics didn’t suit my hand too well after long periods of intense gaming use. Again it’s at no fault to the mouse but the way in which I grip the mouse just wasn’t sustainable.(I use a claw type of grip with my hand and ended up buying the orochi v2. Figured I might as well do a full upgrade to wireless if I was to get a new mouse.)Overall, good mouse and good quality. Lovely to handle when I’m not gaming

I can’t adjust DPI ? ? ?
Idk if this is a problem with the mouse or what, but when I first plugged in my Razer mouse, it made me install the Razer Synapse program, but after installing it, I couldn’t open it again. Like even if I search for the program, it doesn’t show up, like I never installed it to begin with. I went to the Razer website and installed Synapse from that website and when I did, my mouse never showed up as a device that I can adjust. I also installed iCue to try and adjust my DPI and again it didn’t show up as a decide to be adjusted. I literally play games like Valorant and CSGO on <0.1 sens. help meThe mouse outside of my DPI issues is fine though

Durability is lacking
I love Razer products and have been using their keyboards, mice & headphones for years. I work from home and game in my spare time. This is the 2nd Razer mouse I’ve had with the same issue.Pros: The mouse is very responsive, comfortable & easy to just plug & playCons: My middle mouse button/scroll wheel wears out after a couple months of everyday use. The issue is the same with both mice I’ve had so I believe it to be a quality issue not just a one off problem from repeated use.

Chinese Exclusive
Let me start by saying I LOVE this mouse. I’ve had the Razer Mamba Elite mouse for a few months now and decided to upgrade to fit my white set up. I looked damn near everywhere for this mouse, only to realize it was a Chinese exclusive! I didn’t realize the white mouse on Razer’s website for their Mercury collection was a Viper, not a DeathAdder. Anyway, so I took to Amazon. I bought this on a whim and then I realized that I probably didn’t buy an authentic Razer product so I was worried about some inconsistencies in the quality I’m used to. Sure enough, the white DeathAdder does exist to Razer, just in a different country! After receiving this mouse and getting it set up, I realized that there wasn’t that big of a difference from that of my Mamba Elite. I was worried considering I had small hands and a lot of people say the DeathAdder was designed for larger hands. Safe to say, that is not true at all! If anything, my hands rested on the little clickers perfectly! The texture of the mouse felt nice as well. It’s also a quiet click, if you’re into quieter clicking switches. To note, if you’re crazy about RGB (like I am) this probably is not the mouse for you. While the lighting on the mouse is nice, it is only white. But it sure is a BRIGHT white! So to recap, the mouse serves its purpose. The color and texture is nice, so is the lighting, the DPI is adjustable but only within Synapse, fits nicely in the hand, and doesn’t have that “cheap” feel to it. Awesome mouse at an awesome price point!

Not a gamer, but a fantastic mouse for everything else.
This is not a true modern gaming mouse, and I didn’t care for the software package. Pointedly the mouse lights up by default. It’s a distraction. You can turn it off, but requires installing the software. (You can change that, then disable the software on startup so it’s not eating resources … a plus). There also, in simplest terms, not enough buttons, including no DPI adjuster on the mouse, and no tilt function to the mouse wheel itself. It has push down and scroll of course on the wheel. (Though existing button location is good, and every button is crisp). I have hands big enough to easily palm a basketball and I find it comfortable, but my 4 year old girl does too. I just would not game with it. However, for the price, construction, and DPI accuracy, this is the BEST mouse I’ve ever bought for the money. Art in Photoshop, surfing the web, general use, again for the price, I’ve never seen anything that beats it. And I’ve owned, oh, about 100 mice in my day.

Comfortable, good tracking, iffy wheel, and too “light” in the hand
At approximately $30, I thought that this mouse was well priced; previously, it was selling for $50-60, which I think it too much for it. I would like to point out three features that stand out to me. (1) This mouse is comfortable in the right hand. It is slightly larger than average, which is a good thing. My hands are average, and smaller mice make me feel like I have to pay attention to where they are all the time, or they will disappear. This mouse does not draw undue attention to itself. Importantly, it is sufficiently wide for the thumb and pinky to rest on it comfortably, and it is raised just the right amount under the base of the index finger. This make it easy to hold without having to squeeze, and the hand rests on it comfortably. This helps make the mouse ergonomic and to feel “organic” in the hand. These are this mouse’s strongest features, in my opinion. (2) The mouse appears to perform quite well in terms of how the pointer motion “feels” on the screen. The coordination between the movement of the mouse and the movement of the pointer is flawless. Before this mouse, I had another highly sensitive mouse set up on my computer, and it was not pretty, although adjusting the software settings helped partially. The transition to this mouse felt like a major improvement, and I only had to weak the pointer speed slightly. The pointer movements feel smooth and precise. (3) I wish this mouse were a little heavier. I also wish that the wheel feet a little more substantial. Both the mouse and the wheel require a tiny bit of effort to move, and this is not enough for my comfort. This is especially problematic with the wheel. The finger slides on the wheel without triggering it, requiring mental effort to press on the wheel to turn it, but not too hard to click it. This is a major disadvantages of this mouse. I would say another 20-40 grams of weight to the body of the mouse would have made all the difference. And a slightly more resistant or rubbery wheel would have made a difference. The relatively lightness of the mouse and low resistance of the wheel draw attention to themselves and take away a sensation of substance that I enjoy in a mouse. That being said, the mouse feels more substantial than your average, cheap, smallish, light, plastic mouse. Some users may prefer their mouse on the lighter side, and some users may like a greasy wheel that is hard to rotate, but I do not.

Great standard mouse
This is my first Razer product. I usually buy cheaper off-brand peripherals for my PC, but I decided to give a more reputable brand a try.Something I should have been more aware of is the size and weight of the mouse. I tend to prefer small, lightweight mice, and have favored Finalmouse light replicas for a long time because of this. The razer mouse is a lot larger, heavier, and more ergonomic for the shape of the hand. It took awhile to get used to, but I’ve no complaints about it now, after the initial adjustment to the switch. The only major downside to this mouse is the Razer software. Razer Central usually works quickly and responsively, and also doesn’t show any increased CPU usage on my potato PC. Synapse, however, is awful. Which is a shame because Synapse controls every single feature on any Razer peripherals you have. It’s laggy, takes forever to open after turning the PC on, and upticks the CPU usage (not by much, but I tend to be extra aware of CPU because, yeah, potato PC).Overall, it’s a good mouse and my only real negative is regarding the software, which, technically, you aren’t forced to use, though you will not be able to customize DPI or LED brightness without it.

Good for general gaming but there are better options for specific games
So I bought this white Razer Deathadder since it was on sale and I had a black one already but my dad had been hogging the computer and therefore hogging my peripherals so I decided to buy another mouse. The box came with no dents or scratches on it and the mouse was fully intact.I mainly play shooters and a lot of minecraft pvp such as bedwars so I tried this mouse out for a decent variety of games. It was good for shooters but I can’t say I loved it for bedwars. Later down the line I got a glorious Model O and I can say that I love the model O a lot more than I ever liked the Deathaddet and heres why.The deathadder is a heavier mouse and is harder to flick with. It is also harder to click fast with compared to the Model O which is very light. It is also a pretty big mouse. Also the deathadder does not drag click so if you want to drag click then don’t buy this mouse. But for butterflying and jitter clicking it is pretty good. Overall I would say it is a good mid tier mouse.

There’s better mouses for gaming. This mouse is just a mouse. Lol. Not really a gaming mouse.
I had a razor naga molten that lasted forever and I gamed a lot with that mouse. Finally the left mouse clicker gave out and I had to get a new one but i stopped gaming on the computer so….This mouse here, I would not recommend for gaming, but it’s a good mouse for pretty much everything else and if that left clicker is half of what that razor naga molten was this mouse should last a real long time. Hopefully. I like it though. There’s NO customization for the color of the light that I can find. Its white.Yes also, the razor start up program is terrible. It’s slowed every computer that I’ve had down on the start up. I finally disabled it from opening. Screw that program. I stopped gaming. I dont want it no more.Yeah. Not a gaming mouse. I would go for one with more buttons. And disable the razor program from starting when you turn on or restart your computer.

Very good mouse for affordable price
I bought this mouse as a replacement for a cheaper one that started to move the cursor on its own due to damage to the light module. The older one lasted around a year.I read good reviews on this brand and it seems better quality and also feels like that. I have it for more than a month now and so far the experience is awesome. The build quality is very good and it does not feel too small or too big for your hand. The technology it uses is normal diode and not laser so it cannot handle any surface but for my purpose which is a working desk it works fine (with or without a pad). It has customization options you can do if you install the software (windows auto identifies it), but for the average user you don’t need this and just plug&play.Overall very recommended and much more affordable compared to higher end mice.

Broken scrollwheel. If you’re gaming, get another mouse
I purchased this mouse because I used to own an older model Deathadder in black, which lasted a long long time. However, after about 8 months of using this mouse the scrollwheel unhinged and no longer works. Comparing the two mice, I think Razer took a step down in quality.I use mwheeldown to jump in a lot of games, so MAYBE this won’t happen to you, but after looking at the reviews and doing some googling it seems like a common problem. If an easily-broken mouse isn’t enough, consider these points:Pros:+ Looks super nice for a white setup+ Nice matte texture+ Good fit for larger hands (can be a con if you have small hands)Cons:- Scrollwheel breaks easily (I never use the scrollwheel click, or squeeze/throw stuff out of rage. Simply broke from scrolling)- Common issue with mouse squeaking- Razer synapse is a terribly annoying program that you need to download in order to take full advantage of changing dpi or turning off/adjusting the white LED- There is not a “dedicated” dpi button as stated in the description. (You can PROGRAM the side buttons with synapse to change dpi, but why would you do that?) Of the “5 programmable buttons,” 3 of those include the left click, middle scrollwheel click, and right click.- Side buttons have a lot of travel, and collect dead skin easily due to the great amount of space between the buttons. It’s pretty gross.- Hexagonal “grip” pattern on the side doesn’t really help at all. Just another thing on the mouse to collect dead skin.- Mouse is on the heavier side (All about preference, but after a while my wrist started to hurt regularly while using this mouse. I upgraded to a lightweight mouse and I’m never going back)Note:* This mouse is NOT an RGB mouse. It’s just a white LED! With synapse, you can change the brightness, turn it off entirely, and I believe there is a “breathing” mode as well.If you’re using this mouse for gaming, look elsewhere. Even when this mouse is on sale, I don’t think it’s worth it unless you plan on using it as a pretty office mouse.

Really good entry level mouse
This mouse works great. It is comfortable to use, easy for beginners and not too complicated. The only reason I give this 4 stars is because I hate using Razer’s software for any of their products, but others may have a different opinion on that. The mouse itself is great!

Wheel stopped working after about one year. Replaced under warranty.
The scroll wheel stopped working correctly in less than a year. It was a little difficult to get them to replace it, but they did eventually honor the 2 year warranty by sending a replacement.Navigating their support process was a pain. I had to give a chatbot all of the info. Then email them several times. I had to create and send them a video showing them how it didn’t work. They were pretty responsive to emails and when I finally got to the RMA phase the return and replacement went smoothly.

Great quality for an affordable price.
The Razer Deathadder Essential is part of Razer’s best selling and legendary Deathadder lineup of gaming mice, and while most of its “cousins” tend to lean on the pricier side, the Essential is one that definitely stands out from the rest. I bought this for less than $30, but I feel like I got way more than what I paid for because it doesn’t feel like an entry level gaming mouse at all. It’s surprisingly light and its ergonomic design is perfect for my hand size. Some of the mice that I used in the past would cause me to feel small levels of discomfort after hours of continuous use, but this was not the case with the Deathadder Essential. I used it for more than about 5 hours straight and I didn’t feel any discomfort or numbness around my fingers at all. It’s durable enough to last for up to 10 million clicks, and unless you double click the left and right mouse buttons with the speed of a raging jack rabbit during mating season, I doubt you’re gonna be able to get through all of those clicks in the next 5 years or so.Some of the reviews that I’ve read here have aired complaints about the bloatware that comes with it, but for me it wasn’t really an issue. When you first plug in the mouse it will require you to install Razer Synapse where you can sign up with Razer and customize your mouse as you see fit.I only customized the lighting options as the games that I play really aren’t that heavy on macros. The Synapse software is pretty intuitive and easy to navigate, so most users shouldn’t have a problem understanding it after a few minutes of tinkering with its settings. My only complaint about the Deathadder essential would have to be the material used for its build. I’m not saying it’s flimsy and breaks easily, but it doesn’t feel as “aesthetically pleasing” as its more expensive counterparts. The quality is decent, make no mistake about it, but I guess for less than $30 you really can’t expect it to look and feel like the Razer Mamba or Deathadder V2.Final Verdict: The Deathadder Essential is a very good option for those who want to purchase a basic and affordable gaming mouse that feels great, works great, and has a pretty neat look to it.

IF ONLY the scroll wheel gear mechanism was made of better material
Im a dispatcher at an after hours line and a workaholic. This mouse lasted about 7 months when the scrolling wheel clocked outta place today and no longer worked. The mouse is cool light weight precise & pretty. & this mouse mind you was used almost non stop for 17 hours a day 6 days a week for 7 months, i was not the only user. me & my work mom share a desk. every other mechanism works fine but the scrolling wheel. if the scrolling wheel gear mechanism was made of better material this mouse would probably last a few years with the same regimen. it’s great for the price. got my moneys worth out of it twenty fold.

High performance, low quality – TERRIBLE warranty support.
So the mouse is great, when it works – and thats the issue. We all prefer to have products where support doesn’t matter because it isn’t needed but this is not such a product, and the product support is absolutely terrible. The mouse has scroll wheel issues (google it) that causes your screen to jump up and down as you scroll and it gets worse with time.I’ve contacted support and they take forever to reply many days. I got the first reply in 3ish days which I replied to instantly (they asked for proof of purchase which they could have done initially when they ask for other information but I suspect this is a tactic to make you give up) – another week goes on without replies and I call the support. They say my proof of purchase is good, the case is good, and escalates to the warranty department. They email me back in about 24h to tell me that I sent the proof of purchase in the wrong file format and to please send the correct format. I do this and I call the support back which tells me theres nothing they can do because the warranty department won’t talk on the phone.I first started my support journey on Aug 22nd, and today is Sept 2nd and I’ve gotten absolutely nowhere – I don’t know what will happen but I’ll update to let y’all know if you at least get help if you can be bothered to be persistent. I’ve had another razer product in the past that also broke down but I bought it used to so no recourse – this doesn’t happen to Logitech and Microsoft mice (well, I’m sure it does but so far I’ve never had a mouse die except the only two razer mice I’ve ever owned) so I don’t know whats up with the quality and when it isn’t backed up by good support it’s very hard to recommend their products even if they do indeed perform well while they work!

Finally…
As a person who coveted price over performance for many years, I have owned a plethora or mice in the budget discount market. Feeling that if I spent a third of the price of name brand mice, and still got 2-3 years of use, then I was winning the game so to speak. After my last mouse started not registering clicks at the most inopportune times, I finally realized that I needed to look at a quality mouse. That’s where the Razer Deathadder Essential comes in. What a world of difference! The Good: Size. It is LARGE. For someone with larger hands, typical mice in the budget category were often just adequate to just a bit too small. The Deathadder fits and feels like a substantial extension of my hand. Weight. The Deathadder is heavy. Not ridiculous heavy, but heavy enough you feel you are moving something. I happen to love this about the Deathadder. It gives me the weighted feedback that I am moving the mouse in a way that I want, not by accident because it was too light and it lifted and shifted it’s position because of a minute twitch of my wrist. Adjustable: Having multiple dpi and mhz settings allows me to fine tune the Deathadder to suit my use case needs. 5 settings will be all you need to choose what works best for you.The Bad: Lighting. The single color lighting would be nice if I could adjust that single color to fit the theme of my setup instead of just the Razer Green. If there is a way to change that color in the software, it’s well hidden. This is a cosmetic thing and in no way adversely affects the performance of the Deathadder.Overall, if you are a person with larger hands, that wants a mouse of substance to help you perform better in game or on task, and comes in at an EXTREMELY budget friendly price, this is the mouse for you!

The mouse disconnected and reconnected several times and then stopped working completely after about 5 minutes.Amazon quickly sent a replacement and this one is working great.I’m impressed with the Ryzen app that allows you to customize everything from lights (brightness and effects) to customizing buttons and mouse sensitivity (DPI). I think the best feature might be that you can setup “profiles”that you can switch between quickly depending on the game or application you are using. Basically, you can customize the buttons to do one thing for one game and another thing for a different game. You can also change mouse sensitivity between profiles if you need the mouse to move faster or slower depending on what you are playing. The death adder essential feels well built, good quality cloth type cord, and it’s good size that feels comfortable to use. I can see how having more buttons to customize (with the more expensive models) might be nice, but the essential model hits all the marks I was looking for and it was relatively inexpensive.

Solid Mouse. Fits my hands well. Very satisfied.
The presentation was very good, solid box, tissue lining, and quality packaging for the mouse itself. The mouse feels very solid and sturdy and fits my hand very well(I’m rather tall and have long fingers so having a good fit for the mouse was very well appreciated.) The material feels high quality, the mousewheel feels solid, and the clicks are all pleasingly tactile. The side buttons are in the perfect position to prevent accidental triggering while being easy to reach and use without issue, and the mouse lacks the extra top button for DPI switching that I know many people enjoy but I often find a hazard for misclicks personally. The mouse also glides very well across my desk, feels very slick and fluid, and this is only further enhanced when used atop a good mousepad. One minor critique is I purchased this model thinking it was the Synapse 2.0 version since my keyboard is Synapse 2.0, but given that I can run both 2.0 and 3.0 simultaneously and given how well the mouse rated in all other categories I consider it a net win and am very thoroughly pleased.

Junk
Main reason: I bought three of these things for different “spots” one in my home office, office-office, and gaming spot. They all have different issues (main click button broken/inconsistent, mouse wheel button broken/unresponsive, and the forward thumb button doesn’t work), I’ve reached out to razer’s support and get nothing but wasted time and grief from them about physical problems and never get the sense that they have any desire to help. They keep asking about drivers and software issues, but if I click hard as hell over and over it’ll work intermittently.Second reason: Their “supporting apps” are 1) suuuuuuuuuuuper annoying with ads, upsell, banners, updates, etc. which additionally need a TON of TLC to keep up and working/running, but at the same time all needed to unlock the features of the hardware. Windows keeps trying to put the default mouse drivers on top of this mouse, which breaks the app. Coretex, synapse, etc. all require too much upkeep and updates. Additionally, the razer official website half of the time doesn’t work – broken links, bad installers, connection reset… It’s a mess. All of these apps should be consolidated into one dashboard, one gui, one update, one download to control/configure all of the devices – sync to cloud, and update the others as needed and it should NOT be a mechanism to deliver ads.Third reason: Other than the blackwidow keyboard, of allllll of the stuff I’ve bought from this brand, it all feels like cheap chinese junk compared to other brands out there over time. The plastic coating rubs off, the texture wears down to smooth quickly, the rubber stretches, the buttons are junk. I’m over it. I used to think razer was a premium brand and it’s clear through all of the experience that it’s just chinese junk and it feels like the brand is struggling to do one thing right.I work in tech and I’m not hard on my gear and keep my stuff clean. I know how to disable devices, swap drivers, disable drivers, edit registry, etc.. I can also light/control these devices in Linux/BSD to compare without any effort. I use these devices often and for extended periods of time, but I am not hard on it. I expect better and I don’t think I am out of line. I have had microsoft branded mouse last 10+ yrs. Logitech 8+ and expect those numbers/cycles from this as well.

Love Razer, Hate their Software
I love the feel of this mouse. It feels very matte and the white glow is amazing. I don’t like how I can’t change the speed of the mouse from a button on the mouse itself. I’m sure you have to go through their software to change it but that makes it NOT ‘plug n play’ simplistic. I am mostly using this mouse for my work computer so I don’t want to download the software. It’s not that the default speed it bad, but it takes getting used to.

Honestly the best mouse I’ve used for gaming.
The mouse I had beforehand was a mouse that came with my gaming pc that I ordered. It was fine but it broke down REALLY fast. So I figured I’d just get a new mouse that wasn’t too expensive. So I got this and in all honesty I don’t regret it a single bit.I’m not sure if this is the right way to put it, but it has a very “soft” click. Not that it isn’t quiet, but the clicking is pretty quiet and satisfying. Not to mention I love the color of it. The actual mouse wire has a mesh wrapped around the wire so I love that as well because it makes potential tangling of the wire, minimal. I haven’t changed any of the settings of the mouse myself yet but I know that it comes with it’s own software to change it’s settings (i’m assuming) yourself. All in all, this is the first review I’ve left for a product and I didn’t want to leave a review until after I’ve had the product for a few weeks. This mouse is awesome, and absolutely worth your money.Thank you for coming to my ted talk

Worth its value and nothing more
As far as cheap mouses go (especially from razer), it delivers quality on par to its price. There’s no real imperfections or hardware issues that stray from said price, and you truly are getting a mouse worth the amount you paid for. That being said, it’s very heavy for a gaming mouse, which traditionally is a negative (I actually prefer the heavier mouse for easier pinpoint stopping, but it varies from person to person, typically favoring a lighter mouse). It’s also quite large in the hand, making it slightly uncomfortable to use for long periods of time. When using it for osu! for example, my fingertips lose blood flow after a while (this doesn’t affect gameplay, but it’s uncomfortable). Despite its large size, you won’t lose grip using it.Overall, it’s an alright mouse; cheap and for a “reputable” brand. It’s not a steal for its price, but you’re not getting scammed either. It’s exactly its worth.

Definitely more than enough mouse
I’ve got 3 of these, and one of them is being used by little kids who love to eat while they play. I worried they’d soon be gross-looking, since they’re white, but the material seems to do a good job of resisting the grime and discoloration. Additionally, I know the DPI is lower than some premium gaming mice, the cord is not braided, and it doesn’t do RGB light shows, but IMO (even as a gamer) that stuff is all superfluous, unnecessary. Even disregarding the extremely low price, this is a great mouse, with a great shape, size, look, and quality. I haven’t had a corded mouse that I’d recommend more highly, and I own a deathadder chroma, a sensei, a MS mouse, Dell, and a bunch of different Logitechs.Pro Tip: Do NOT install the Razer software, you don’t need it and you DON’T want it!

Another Great Razer Product
Good Razer product with great functionality, grip, and easy use. Plugs in and easy to program and get the most out of it.

Mouse is made well and the mouse can game well
The media could not be loaded.
This razer mouse is a really good mouse and it does game well with no major problems. The rgb on the mouse shines well nut it would’ve been better if their was an rgb version. I only have two complaints with this mouse. One is the mouse’s price which is a bit overpriced but this is the cheapest razer mouse but you can get a similar mouse from a different company. My second problem is the software which downloads on the computer right when you plug it into the computer and i would’ve liked it if it was optionsl to download the software but if you dont like the software you can just uninstall the program. But other than that this mouse is great for drag clicking as well as functionallity which is really good. This mouse was made well as well I wouldn’t expect anything different from razer.

Bought the Essential Deathadder on sale for 30$
For 30$ this is by far the best gaming mouse you can get. There are better options obviously including the better version of this same mouse, but they will all cost more. For a while around 2013-2015 I felt Razer had decreased their quality standard, but I purchased one of these more than a year ago and it has worked great. I think Razer have redeemed themselves at least for me because I bought a Cynosa Chroma keyboard by them in 2019 and it is as good as new even after COUNTLESS hours of gaming Apex Legends and Dota2. Doesnt seem like I will have to change is anytime soon. Personally, the deathadder has the best shape for me out of all gaming mice and the sensors on it are great, even the essential version. Just bought 2 of these on sale to have them stored ready for when I need to change my mouse so Im pretty sure in 2025 Ill still be using these essential Deathadders lol.

Death to Synapse
Had to return as I overlooked the fact that this mouse doesn’t have a DPI button. I can go buy the cheapest mouse at Walmart for $5 and it’ll have a DPI button. Why I expected something that’s so common on every mouse made in the past 10-15 years to be on this one is my fault I suppose.I already own a DeathAdder elite but I don’t use Synapse with it. Wanted this as a backup. I could have tinkered around with windows mouse speed settings on the essential to match the speed i’m used to, and did try briefly, but it’s impossible to duplicate without upping the DPI. The default DPI on this mouse is 450. I’m used to gaming on 900 DPI. Wouldn’t really be a problem if I could install Synapse, set DPI then uninstall it but there’s no onboard memory. The memory hogging bug ridden problem creating software that is Synapse must always be installed and running to go beyond 450 DPI on this mouse, so i’m gonna have to go with a different model.I love Razer mice, but I’ve consistently had terrible luck with Synapse. Granted I am running a 10+ year old system used strictly for classic FPS games, but still! With Synapse installed I always have memory hogging issues, sensitivity issues, etc.

Good ergonomics, but malfunctioning scoll wheel.
Really like the grip and feel of the mouse, but after 7 month use the mouse scroll wheel started to malfunction. The scroll would regularly receive an upward input even though I would be scrolling down, making some gaming very frustrating to deal with. Everything is sufficiently good, but I would have expected a mouse with a good brand name to last longer. Cannot truly recommend.

Solid mouse that’s responsive. Clunky Software/Driver
Bought this to replace a failing generic mouse. It’s very responsive and feels quality built to last. The buttons respond accurately and don’t give false inputs. The lighting is simple/stylish without being overbearing. The only drawback is the software needed to be installed to use & customize the device. It’s clunky and yet another startup program the can lengthen boot times. I find it unnecessary because I don’t use it to customize the hot keys. Just slightly annoyed at it needed to load every time I boot my machine.

Sweet mouse
I’m really impressed, never thought I’d find a high quality gaming mouse for under $50 but this is it. Only two side buttons but that’s about all I use anyway, even when there’s a bunch of them. You can adjust the DPI in the software instead of having extra buttons on the mouse, which I like as well. The software that comes with it lets you adjust the brightness of the led and you can set it to sleep after 5, 10, or 15 minutes, or turn it off. Yes I love gaming but I’m not into all that rgb rainbow lighting, gigantic keyboards and mice that look like they came out of a comic book. Clean, white, and softly lit is very pleasing to me (I turned up the brightness for the pic, normally I keep it just a little brighter than the ambient lighting). Glorious PC makes a white mouse for $90 but it doesn’t have that simple, aesthetically pleasing look I was going for, it would have looked out of place on my desktop. Now I have to get a white xbone controller and my setup will be complete.

Scroll Wheel Issues Plague this Mouse
I bought three of these mice – I am a huge fan of the Deathadder. Unfortunately, this version, the “Essential” version, is not up to the quality standards of Razer’s other Deathadder mice. Namely, the scroll wheel. After a relatively short time, only a few months, all of them exhibited the same issues with the scroll wheel. When scrolling, it would scroll down, then scroll back up a bit. Then, it would get progressively worse, to the point where you were scrolling nearly 2 to 3 times as much with the wheel just to scroll down to where you wanted to be.My first one lasted the longest. I replaced it, and bought a backup at the same time. The replacement and backup did not last long at all. If you like the Deathadder, unfortunately I have to recommend buying the more expensive model, because this one is just generating e-waste being this bad. I looked into repairing the mouse, but it’s just not worth the work needed.
