Moldable wire not “string”
I found a previous purchase and thought I ordered the same but I guess they changed them. The are gumdrop sized lights on a wire. They still work to hang around the window as a night and hooking them up to google took about 5 minutes.

I’ve been using these in my living room since it has no light fixtures. They’re good for general lighting as well as mood lighting.Set-up is really easy an app will take you through the steps and with the exception of the initial pairing you’ll probably never need to touch the physical lights and its controls again. I rely solely and exclusively on the app and haven’t had a problem yet.The brightness isn’t so bright. They provide decent enough light to see but they aren’t going to light up a space greatly. For example I also have a polaroid that needs decent lighting to take a good photo and even two of these set across the ceiling aren’t enough to really illuminate the space enough.All in all though they are great lights, good price and easy to use!They come with some additional features like ” Scenes” and picking up on music but I don’t use them for that too much. They do their job.

Good string of lights
Connected easily to the app. Was able to control with Alexa. I cant figure out how to change modes with Alexa, but colors and on/off work.

Easy to use
I put ping pong balls on each light and put all of them in a large glass planter with artificial flowers. The effect was amazing! Now I can change out the flowers for each season and the lights can be changed too. Because they are LED lights they don’t overheat and burn out. Love it!

TV Remote interferes with these lights
These lights are great for my loft bed. I needed something more cheerful to light up my bed space at night and these work great. The brightness and color is adjustable and there’s a good variety of pattern/twinkling options. I love the app to adjust the lights to custom settings. I mostly use my phone for adjusting them. But the remote is handy for bedtime to just flick the lights on and off or to fast change the brightness.The only downside to these lights is the remote for my television changes and interferes with the lights. If I change the volume/channel/etc via the remote on my TV I also suddenly changes the colours and settings of my lights…. that can be a bit annoying in the middle of a movie… or funny depending on your mood.If anyone knows a fix please post one cause I have no idea how lol. The only other thing I would like to see maybe added to the app if possible is the ability to set specific colour options to twinkle. Not just multi-colour twinkle. I love having my lights set to a reddish pink for bed. But I’d love to be able to have the lights twinkle in that colour.Either way I’m super happy with these lights and I definitely want to buy some more for the different sections of my loft.

Lights up the room great
When I first got the product in and opened it I thought it wasn’t going to be bright at all, but then I turned them on and it lit up my kids room very well and love that you can change colors and control it with an app. There are many light modes that include changing colors to music. I liked it so much I bought another strand to finish wrapping around the whole room. My kids love these lights and they plug in so no more wasting sets of batteries.

Prettiest twinkling Christmas lights

These lights are absolutely beautiful. For Christmas 2021 I bought a 66 ft for my picture window 2 33 ft for the outdoor Christmas tree and a 16 ft for my little indoor tree. For Christmas 2022 I loved them so much I decided to go all out and do the entire front of my house. I’ve gotten so many compliments from my neighbors and from posted pictures on Facebook of how pretty they are. Is there any chance of them being made in a longer set than 66 ft? I would definitely buy them. Very easy to use. Love the fact that I can operate it from my phone with the popotan app.

Not very Alexa compatible
Alexa does not register all the device capabilities. Alexa can tuen on, turn off, change colors, dim or brighten. Difficulty in understanding patterns or connecting to music. The string lights are flimsy metal wire in between each light. They are very easy to break and hard to hang as they hold the shape from being wrapped up into box. My TV remote turns on my lights. So if I turn on, turn off, change channel or turn up volume. My lights turn on…

Super Bright and lots of features
GET THESE LIGHTS!!!For real tho, if you are looking for a good set of “fairy” lights, you can’t go wrong with these. They are very bright and have great color. The remote included is great but I highly recommend the phone app if you can. There is an amazing amount of options you can use(different patterns, scenes, etc). It even has preset “suggestions” (ie: lights on the xmas tree, lights around a wreath, lights along the fence) that follow certain light patterns for that “scenario”. These lights even can be set to react to music/sounds. And with the app you can set the sensitivity as well, which is a feature more of the “sound activated lights” need to have.If you made me say something negative about the lights, the only thing I can think of is that the metal wire used is a copper/gold color….and I would’ve preferred maybe black. But that’s so minor it shouldn’t matter at all. I will say it again…..GET THESE LIGHTS!!!I was not paid for my review, and I was not part of some ‘test’ group or anything. I searched online, sifted through various ads, decided on these lights, and paid out of pocket for them.

Effected by every remote!! Use popotan app not smartlife!
1st set i bought looked great but didnt want to get into pairing mode no matter what i did. Held power button for 5 seconds to pair but turns off after 3 seconds. On/off cycle 3 times, no pairing.After contacting seller, they sent me a new set. This one pairs using 3-on/off cycles. Used smartlife app since they suggested using that & i already had it installed. Picked an animation but after 20 seconds it would go to the next animation. I dont care for the flashing animations. So i figured id paired it to the popotan app instead to see if that would be better. Using this app WILL keep the animation on the style you choose unless you change it. (Or a random remote changes it). 🤯Yes like other reviews, pretty much every remote will effect these lights. Roku, my wall mounted fireplace remote, JBL soundbar, other light remotes,… thats just what i have found so far. I’ll probably cover the remote sensor on the lights with a layer of foil & electrical tape so nothing will interfere with it and stick with using wifi & the popotan app.Would i buy again? Doubt it. Id probably get a different brand & read all the reviews rather than look at how many stars it has.UPDATE: Told Alexa to turn off the lights after i put them on my tree earlier this week & the next morning, i found 1 single bulb still on, the rest were off. I ended up just turning off the surge protector. Had Alexa turn them off again tonight & same thing but different bulb on the opposite end. Dont feel comfortable that random bulbs are still getting power after “turning off”. Lowering rating to 2 stars

Bright, vibrant colors. Lower light density on longer options.
I recently ordered a set of the 16ft lights to hang from the ceiling of our hallway as an alternative to normal nightlights. Colors and brightness out of the box are good. Remote is simple and straightforward, the app seems to function well.I decided to get some for use in my bedroom as well, and ordered the 33ft option so I could go around 3/4ths of the ceiling. However, the 33ft option does not have the same LED density as the 16ft, after measuring there is about a 2″ difference (4″ between each LED on the 16ft, 6″ between each LED on the 33ft). I feel this should be mentioned clearly in the description.

It’s ok.
YOU NEED CLEAR TAPE!!!!You have to tape or staple these to the wall. They don’t have stickers. They’re very pretty when the lights are on but if you’re not using them it looks a mess. I’m planning to cover them with some fake plants.I don’t think they’re bad but the pictures are misleading in my opinion because they don’t show them when you don’t have the lights on. And with out something to cover them it looks abit childish and ugly.Would i buy again yes for the price only… the lights really do look good at night, But just have a place to set them. Also the lights are long but the plug isn’t so…you need an extension cord. and clear tape i can’t stress that, lol.

Great with phone app
Overall, it was an easy set up and my son really likes that the lights move to the music. The remote has to be aimed at the little box attached to the lights which was inconvenient. Once it was attached to the phone through the app, there are so many more options and settings that can be done to the lights. Very bright and vibrant Very cool!

Nice for the price.
There’s actually nothing I dislike about these lights. Look perfect around my TV. Love the different modes and the sync up with music. ~ The remote is another story. It would’ve been better if all the colors were available, instead of just the pre-selected Red, Green, & Blue. You can only select the other solid colors from the app (Unless I’m missing something). Not too terrible, just an inconvenience if not near phone. Overall happy with my choice.

Great color! Didn’t sync, though.
So they’re really pretty! Great color modes and whatnot. I had issues configuring to my phone, though, which doesn’t make sense. It sucks because I feel it decreases this products value given you’re supposed to be able to use it via your smart devices but it wouldn’t allow for a WiFi connection without 5G, which not everyone has access to on, I guess. But other than that, the included remote works so I can’t complain.

Want to love
They’re really cool and everything worked as advertised for about a week. I thought these are the coolest thing ever… to have fairy style lights that I can actually plug in and set on a timer or voice control rather than just going through batteries non stop. However, on day 7 one light in the middle of the string wouldn’t turn off. On day 8 (after an unplug and replug situation to get that one light off at bedtime) that same single bulb won’t come on again. Not sure where we’re headed but assuming the worst (and can’t help staring at the black spot in the very middle of the string now)

Great for Alexa Users – with a bit of work
I adored these lights, although making them connect to and work with my Alexa app the way I wanted took a bit of work. I finally realized that I had to install the iffy and somewhat questionable (in terms of what I was giving them access to in exchange for controlling a string of lights) Chinese app in order to get what I wanted out of this product, and then had to create an account inside the app, which was also a bit of a pain. However, while the lights lasted, I decided the joy they gave me every morning after telling Alexa “Let there be light!” was worth it all.Then my cats (we have 3) discovered the string of lights on the wall, and when I came home from work after the 5th day of their brilliance, I discovered I now had 3 strings of frayed, non-functioning lights rather than the 1 I began my day with. Cats aside, I still recommend this product – so long as you aren’t worried about Chinese companies spying on your phone you might even let Alexa control them.

Fun lights
We have them in the dining room and use them for an evening atmosphere. Love that I can change the colors for different holidays and not actually having to change out the whole light strand. Great having the app on phone to be able to change colors.

Best color and patterns
The color vibrancy is as pure as you can get. Pure reds, greens, blue, and everything in n between. Whoever programmed the patterns for these lights is brilliant! I forgot and don’t even care that they have wifi, I don’t need it. I’m leaving this review when I can back to buy another set. I’m keeping them up year round because I find myself happily staring at the chase patterns they cycle through.10/10

Too bright
This was very difficult to connect to the IOS app and it wouldn’t connect with Alexa at all. The lights are too bright and can’t be adjusted to a softer light. The app is full of ads wanting you to pay way too much to have an app without ads. I’d go with something different.

Great lighting and setup, annoying cycles and unexpected activation
Pros:- great lighting, if I need a little more bright I can, but also the dim setting is perfect for that soft sleepy time glow- set up was super easy and the flexible metal string made it very convenient to put these in lanterns- no problems getting the remote to work, and instructions explained what patterns were availableCons:- First major grievance I have is that the solid mode is the only one that stays. Any other mode will run it’s pattern and then cycles to the next mode. With this, it frequently feels like there’s no point in even picking a mode- Even bigger grievance: It randomly picks up signals from remotes not associated with this product. I do not appreciate the surprise disco lights when I’m turning up the volume on a sad movie scene

Beautiful and automated

It’s Fine, I Wish I Had More Control
This is fine. It does the trick. I wish I had more control on the colors. They have pre-set colors and it’s usually flashy stuff OR solid colors. There’s not really a middle ground. I wish I could set a series of colors (that don’t move or flash) and then call it a day. Then again, the price is amazing soooo…. I’ll live.

They are bright and with the thin wires disappeared on our little tree. I initially got them because there was a disagreement on what color lights should be on the tree. This gave us the option to change to whatever color we wanted so that was great.Minor negatives:TV remote would interfere and turn them on. This ended up not as much of a negative as first thought because you start the Christmas movie and realize hey I want the Christmas tree on and you already have the correct remote at hand.The colors on the remote do not match. Red was pink the others I don’t remember. Simple solution use the app and customize it with the color wheel.That’s it. Overall I would buy them again and they will be used again next year. If they break putting them up I will buy again.

Lights are great, remote is terrible
The lights are colorful and bright and offer a number of fun modes. However, the remote control is terrible. You have to be within three feet and aim at a specific angle for it to work. Also, the wifi reception is week. I think a serious upgrade on the remote and wifi side is necessary. I purchased multiple sets and they all behave the same way.

Very good light set

They kinda work
So setting these up and pairing them with the app was fairly painless for me. My issue comes from the fact that they often “freeze” up. I ended up plugging them into an Amazon smart plug so I can use echo to turn them on and off when they lock up. I could see this getting quite annoying for users.

Perfect amount of brightness and it is adjustable. Very beautiful and easy to control! Very cool features such as sound activation! You will not regret this purchase. One of the coolest things. And I utilize the timer function before I go to bed because I use as a sort of nightlight!

Both sets not working
I ordered my first set, when I got it, I plugged it in, followed the directions and it stayed on white. Nothing I did changed it. So I ordered a replacement, and when that one came, I did the same thing, followed the directions and it worked until I pressed the button to turn it white in the remote. Once I pressed it, it changed to white and it won’t change. I didnt have a chance to return the products due to my work schedule so no im stuck with 2 defective strands of lights. Will never buy again.

Lights worked well
Dislike: The wiring between the lights it is stiff and VERY thin, that makes it hard untangle and work with.You need to have the controller end close to a speaker for them to pick up sound.Lead from controller to first light could be longer.Can’t add to the string.Likes: Lights worked and looked good.

Very Inconsistent, but beautiful when using the app
I love how pretty these lights are…when they work. I have sent this brand of lights back 3 times because they either quit working or they haven’t worked to start with. After only a few weeks one set just wouldn’t change colors and after I unplugged them, they wouldn’t turn on again. One set stayed on only red as soon and I received them and wouldn’t connect to the remote or to Bluetooth to make them change colors.I have 2 other sets of the same brand set up in my classroom. As long as I don’t need to change the settings with the remote or the component that is attached to the lights, I use the app, they are amazing!!

Broke but replaced
The lights had a broken line so the item was quickly returned and replaced. The tempted control is a little ornery and you have to be close to the lights for the remote to work. Lights change colors which is nice

Buyer beware
The lights are very bright, and when they work they work wonderfully. However, the software is buggy at best and often does not work. The remote control is also very poor. The “smart” lights respond to any remote control, and so will turn on and off or randomly change modes when I adjust the volume on my TV with the remote. Might be worth it to spend a little more for a product that actually works as advertised. Not worth your money

they work
they work but i downloaded the app and it took 30 minutes to set up and actually connect to wifi network… and after about 5 minutes of looking and trying the features in app and on the remote the lights glitched and were stuck on colors or not lit up… they also wouldnt turn off til unplugged but waited a few minutes and plugged back in and they worked great again for 10 mintues while i was trying out more features and again glitched and wouldnt turn off…. i unplugged again and wiated a few minutes and plugged them back in and they work….

It turns on out of the blue
Sometimes it turns on out if the blue and wakes up my toddlers which is not fun at the middle of the night. The control attached to the cable for me works only to turn it on and off. If you happen to change to the blinking mode from that small control there is no way to go back to continuos light (without any blinking modes). That is kind of annoying when you can’t reach the remote. Other than that lights are very cute and you can select brightness which is perfect!

They lasted 2 months
Yeah got my lights and they were very tiny but I liked them. I enjoyed them every night before bedtime. I hate darkness so I need soft lighting to sleep. Tonight they stopped working I would notice a few lights staying on during the day but I didn’t have issues till tonight I will sleep in the dark.

your tv remotes will interfere with these lights
As everyone stated, other remotes will interfere with these. You can cover up the sensor but obviously you cant use the remote that came with it then.Very very cheaply made. Wire is super thin and at least one light was nonworking out of the box.App would be better if it was more customizable.All that being said, I’m still pretty happy with my purchase. They are plenty bright and can be dimmed when needed.

Weird wires
Have to keep adjusting the wires and control box. The remote randomly stops working as well as the color and power buttons, the app also stops working randomly

Would buy again
They have 3 settings for brightness not super sensitive to music but its ok because maybe that might be to much.I had to buy a third one because my sons cat chewed them the second day 😒 but I use them in my room.

Awesome lights and great price!

Awesome Christmas lights
I bought them for my Christmas tree and they look awesome. Be aware that they are held only by three thin copper wires and feels very flimsy
