Love ’em like a hug. Love ’em with ThunderShirt
ThunderShirt is vet recommended¹ and may help calm your dog in stressful situations. ThunderShirt applies a gentle, constant pressure to your dog’s torso, like swaddling an infant or a comforting hug to help them feel calmer.
ThunderShirt is safe, easy to use and drug-free. There is no training required to use ThunderShirt, simply put it on your dog.
For many dogs, thunderstorms can be a terrifying experience. Using ThunderShirt can reduce panting, drooling, shaking and other signs of anxiety. If your dog is still nervous during storms try closing the blinds and leaving their crate or kennel open with a blanket to create a dark “safe space.” Some dogs are not just scared of the sounds but also the flashing lightning of a storm.
Due to the fireworks, 4th of July is one of the biggest days for pet stress of the year. ThunderShirt has helped millions of dogs stay calmer during the holiday. Make sure your dog can stay inside during fireworks so they do not get scared and run away and become lost. A collar with updated contact information and a ThunderShirt will help your dog stay safe and calm during fireworks and loud noises anytime of year!
Using ThunderShirt while traveling can make it a more comfortable ride for you and your dog! If your dog’s anxiety with the car comes from them thinking a car ride = a vet visit, taking them on fun, short trips can help them to disassociate the car with negative emotions. If your dog is still stressed, try combining the power of calm with the ThunderEase Spray and ThunderShirt.
Separation anxiety is a bigger concern now more than ever! Even if you wanted to, you can’t be home at all times, so ThunderShirt is a great option to soothe your dog while you are away. Return to office with peace of mind by using ThunderShirt.

It works no joke
Our chihuahua mix Brodie looses his mind ever year come 4th of July. We have tried just about everything to keep him calm to no success… until we got this Thunder jacket. I am truly amazed it worked like nothing else we have tried. It would kill us to see how terrified he was every year when the fireworks started. This jacket is no joke it really works! From a dog that would run in circles and try to dive under any furniture just to get away from the sound. Trembling and panting like crazy to sleeping peacefully and completely calm. This jacket is the real deal, we all got a good nights sleep last night. I just wish I had bought this years ago!

I’m a believer so far
I went in skeptical but needed to try something since one of my dogs developed a bad case of anxiety and fright after a horrible hailstorm I got a couple months ago.So far, after he gets it put on, he still shakes a bit and pants when he thinks he hears a storm or fireworks but compared to how he was before with constant pawing and climbing on top of me it’s a vast improvement.Getting him used to it involved a lot of chasing him to put it on and he was not a fan but now he seems okay and even stood there and let me put it on him the most recent time I used itI guess we will really see how well it works in a couple days when it’s the 4th though!

Really works to calm my dog
My Bernedoodle hates loud noises – thunder, doors slammed, heavy rain on roof, fireworks – you name it. When an event happens he cannot leave my side and trembles and shakes. So today, I am sitting on the sofa with my Berne in the middle of a heavy thunderstorm with rain on a metal roof. I put his shirt on him just before it started and with the first clap of thunder he did sit up and look around. After 3 or 4 minutes he was lying on the sofa – not up against me. The storm has lasted for about 1 1/2 hours and he has slept through most of it! I was a skeptic but now a believer!

Shocked
I honestly didn’t expect this to work. We had some gnarly thunder today and usually my girl is shaking and panting. Not today. She was calm as could be, she acknowledged that the thunder der would boom, but she wasn’t phased. I put the jacket on her about 20 mins before the storm started and she was good to go. She’s had it on all day (besides outside because it’s 90⁰+ and raining) and she’s seemed quite comfortable. She usually moves around when she’s hot (she didnt). So I think this product is worth a shot for your fur babies! Might put it to the test at the vet to see if it helps her anxiety, fingers crossed. Good luck out there pet parents!

Miracle Shirt!!!
I was doubtful that anything could calm my little guy down during thunder and fireworks. I bought the thunder shirt as a last ditch effort because I was willing to try ANYTHING to make my dog less anxious and boy was I in for a pleasant surprise! The first time we put it on him he was slightly less anxious, but by the second or third time, he was asking us to put it on him and when we had fireworks going off next to our house he was happily sleeping belly up, relaxed as could be. I will forever tell any dog owner to BUY THIS SHIRT NOW!!!

My dog actually like to wear this
I got this for my lab who suddenly developed a huge fear of fireworks and thunder. Even if she hears something in the distance, she starts to pant and crawl all over us. Now, she runs to the room where I keep her Thundershirt, and she looks up at the shelf that it’s on. She gets excited for me to put it on her. She then stands super still for a few minutes, and then she mellows out. She’s a weirdo, but, hey, it works!!

Wish I bought this sooner
The first day of putting them on my two dogs was a task. Not because the product, but because my dogs were being difficult….Between the firework and back to back thunderstorms the dogs took a liking to them. They now will go in the room where I keep them and are eager to have me put them on….They even get playful instead of hiding in a closet or under the bed… these are so good!! You owe oto yourself and to them. I choose these because the material is easy to clean and use.The stitching seems high quality and durable!

Worked Great – Calmed him Down! – Well Made.
My Terrier Mix had developed significant anxiety with Thunder and rain storms and fireworks – panting, pacing, drooling, climbing behind things he shouldn’t etc. I put his on Thundershirt on him (which he did not mind at all) and after just a minute or two, he laid down at my feet and he was a calm 25-pound dog. The first one I ordered was too big so I exchanged it – this process could not be have been any easier with Amazon. As noted in description…if your dog is on the edge of the sizing chart, order smaller size. I thought the product was well made and and designed.

Not a cure but close
2022 our dog Finn laid in our master closet, which is the only room in the house without a window. I had to play music and he was medicated during the 4th of July fireworks. Fast forward to 2023. With the vest and half a dose of medication, he was able to walk around the house, eat etc. It’s not a cure, but it made a huge difference. I would highly recommend this. The photo is from him laying at my feet in the living room. Never ever would’ve happened before the vest.

Comforts our dog when we’re gone
Our dog has separation anxiety and starts shaking when she knows we’re about to go somewhere for a few hours. We try not to make a big deal out of us leaving, but she just knows. We got this for her and it actually helps! Often when we’d get back home, she’s leave lots of drool on the floor from panting. But with this, we’ve found that the floor is usually dry and she just seems to wind up sleeping. She’s not bothered by storm she or fireworks, so we can’t speak to that. But this seems to help her separation anxiety.

Seems to help
My dog badly needed anxiety relief during rain and thunderstorms. He seems to be getting worse each storm and I feel terrible for him. The only relief I can give him is holding him in my lap during the entire storm which simply isn’t something I can always do. So I tried this thunder shirt out of desperation with very little hope. Frankly, I thought this shirt was a gimmick but it actually does seem to help. Is it a magical shirt that completely relieved my dog of his terrible fear of thunder? Certainly not. But he does seem to be more calm and handles the thunder better. He’s able to actually fall asleep during storms and his shaking seems to be reduced. We also used it during the 4th of July fireworks, which he’s also afraid of, and again, he seemed to be okay. The product does seem to be made of a quality material with a solid design. Do I think it should cost nearly $50? Absolutely not, but like most brands that make products for us dog owners, they know we’re willing to do and pay just about any price. So I guess I can’t blame them…minus one star for that price tag though. It’s way too steep. $30-35 is much more reasonable. So, bottom line – if you’re in a similar situation and you are desperate, I think this shirt definitely can help. It won’t completely fix the problem but anything helps in my view. Any any relief to the pups is worth trying and worth the money.

Size Chart’s Off. Size Down If On The Cusp!
So many reviewers don’t mention the size they ordered! My dachshund mix is a size 21.75” chest, 22lbs, and has a 19” back from collar to rear. The cut off between the M and S is 21” cheat, so I had a difficult time deciding which to order. The customer photos of dogs I found that looked like my guy didn’t leave their size. Every dog body shape is so different, so it’s hard to decide just going by chest alone. I decided to go with the Medium because all of his other clothes are Medium, and it should have fit based on the size chart. It did not! It’s enourmous on him. I was able to wrap it tightly, but there’s so much bunched-up material and hook-and-loop that it seemed uncomfortable, and it was so long that I couldn’t send him outside with it on, he’d make a mess. So I’m returning for a Small, and then I’ll be able to gauge whether or not it works for him. He’s lost a few rescue dog siblings over the years, and seems to get more and more anxious with each loss, even though I always adopt again. He’s on a prescription anxiety med and doggie-CBD oil, but they’re not really helping.

Bit Pricy but Works
My wuns are terrified of lightning and thunder (oy vey, hurricane season), so I decided to test out a thunder/anxiety shirt on my most scared girl. When I say scared, I mean she buries herself behind me or under me and hyperventilates even when we cover with a blanket. I get so worried that she will end up with a heart attack. This little vest has been such a comfort to her during the last three mild storms. A couple minutes after I put it on, she settles in a corner and curls up, at which point a place a blanket over her and she doses off. I am not sure how effective it will be for those crazy lightning and thunder strikes that make the ground shake…(crossing fingers) The material is pretty basic and I wish it was held with something more securely than basic velcro which is easy to pick up lint/dirt and which isn’t to strong hold wise. Honestly, I do find this one a bit pricy considering the materials it is made, and it seems to run a bit on the smaller side, however, anything that will help my babies feel safe during a storm deserves a few stars.

Miracle!
If you’ve ever wondered if a Thundershirt would help your dog, I encourage you to try it. We have a sweet dog that has always been mortified of fireworks and thunderstorms. If we’re in the den she will hide under my husband’s chair and if she’s in her kennel we have always had to let her out so she can be near to us at night when a storm starts. A few days before Independence Day I thought, Duh! Try a Thundershirt! I found one that came on July 3rd and quickly put it on her because our neighborhood kids had started lighting fire crackers. The change was immediate! You could actually see the change come over her! And what was even better was she knew it! You could tell she suddenly felt comfortable even though there were loud noises all around. Later that same evening we had a violent thunderstorm and she remained calm throughout. This from a dog who the previous week had climbed into the bed with me practically hyperventilating. Just amazing! She doesn’t want to take it off now so I’ll have to buy a second one so she’ll have one to wear while the other is in the wash.

Definitely helps!!!
I don’t know why I haven’t tried this sooner. I’ve had my rescue pup just over 5 years and we’ve worked through a lot of anxieties and fears together, however, loud noises (thunder, fireworks, car door slamming, etc) just sends her shaking and bolting back in the house and under the bed. She’ll pace around and tremble so hard she could just explode. I’ve been medicating her with trazadone and gabapentin from the vet all this time.4th of July was coming up and I saw my friends dog wearing one while we were over on a play date so I ordered it. What an immediate difference! Now, my little Xena definitely is still bothered by the noises, but it’s like she can tolerate it. Instead of hiding under the bed or pacing, she can lay right next to me like in the picture. Still not gonna walk in thunderstorms but she actually tried to! And instead of pulling hard to go back in when thunder struck, she just calmly looked back at the house and started walking that way.Overall, I’m impressed. I don’t have medicate my babygirl to take the edge off and the material is really nice. Definitely feels durable and of quality. I do want to try the pheromone spray. My dog is about 30-35lbs golden mix and we got a medium. We live in florida so we get lots of thunderstorms.

They worked!
Have a German Shepherd and a Mountain Cur who are both extremely frightened by fireworks. For the last several years I have sedated them for the week to 10 days before the 4th with vet prescribed meds. Was very skeptical that the shirts would work but didn’t want to continue drugging the dogs due to how it made them act and decided to give the shirts a try (kept the box to return them if they didn’t work!). My Cur who usually howls and barks at the fireworks basically laid down and slept with the shirt only barking a few times on the 4th when fireworks were nearby. The picture is of my Cur wearing the shirt and sleeping on the sofa while fireworks were going on in the area. My Shepherd who usually runs around looking for places to hide curled up and laid down every time the shirt was on. I used them nightly leading up to and including the 4th before writing this review. All I can say is that they worked well for my dogs and I will continue to use them as needed – no more drugs for them!

Worked well
Purchased a Thunder Shirt after a recommendation and I was surprised at how well it worked. We had 4th of July fireworks and a thunderstorm on the same night, and my boy was pretty calm throughout. He did quietly bark from time to time, but no pacing from room to room barking at every noise. I purchased 2 and my other dog did not like the velcro sound. He was pretty calm because his brother wasn’t running through the house barking. I did take the shirt off for a few hours before the ramp up of fireworks and thunderstorms and the change was immediate, he began incessantly barking and worrying…he just could not deal with the small mid day fireworks. We did add a calming cbd, which I think complimented the thunder shirt. I am very happy with my purchase and hope this will calm him on car rides as well. Would definitely recommend, and with the guarantee, it is worth a try to help your pet through these traumatic events.

Seems to be working. Issues with Amazon’s sizing – in review.
OK – currently I’m rating this 4 stars, but I may come back and change this depending on how things continue to go.For some background – I have a chihuahua mix who is deeply attached to me. He has issues with separation anxiety and a hyper-aggressiveness toward other dogs, particularly large dogs. If he so much as sees a dog or anything else that may be threatening (a person walking by or a noise downstairs) he will start barking as ferociously as a chihuahua can bark. It’s problematic for me because he is an agility dog and I have to constantly be aware that he may try to attack the dogs near me at any moment he feels like they’re encroaching on his territory (namely, me). I’ve done obedience training with him since he was 10 weeks old and he’s a SUPER well behaved dog aside from these issues. After researching online, I came to realize that he may be suffering from some form of anxiety, which is causing him to act out because he feels threatened. Thus, I came upon the Thundershirt.I’m really not the type of person to purchase items that seem gimmicky, and admittedly, this shirt screams gimmick. However, with nearly 600 reviews on Amazon and a 4.5 star rating, I had to try it. Anything is worth trying if it will remedy a big issue in my dog’s life. I don’t want him to feel like he has to protect me all the time as that causes undue stress. So, after receiving the shirt, I opened the box and was greeted with a very cute plastic packaging for the shirt. Almost like a manilla envelope except see-through. The shirt was very well made and soft to the touch..but I was more concerned with testing it out rather than inspecting the intricacies of how it was made.I put it on my dog after taking a moment to think about the logic behind the velcro straps and it fit him nice and snug. I ordered an extra small – my dog is about 8 lbs but very lanky and it fit him perfectly. I opted to go with the sizing on the Thundershirt website vs. the Amazon website as I’ve been burned by Amazon having improper sizing info in the past.I was debating on an XXS vs. a XS.For example – on Amazon an XXS states:Size XXS for dogs less that 12 pounds and with a chese size of 9″ – 13.5″Whereas the Thundershirt website states:Size Chest Size WeightXXS 9″-13.5″ < 7 lbs. That's a HUGE difference. So I highly recommend using Thundershirt sizing to decide on which is best for your dog.-----------------------------------Here is the complete chart:Size Chest Size WeightXXS 9"-13.5" < 7 lbs.XS 13"-18" 8-14 lbs.S 16"-23" 15-25 lbs.M 18"-26" 26-40 lbs.L 24"-32" 41-64 lbs.XL 31"-40" 65-110 lbs.XXL 38"-50" > 110 lbs.———————————–OK so regarding the efficiency of this shirt.I tested it outdoors with my dog on our front driveway just absorbing the sounds and sights of a normal neighborhood. My dog laid out in the sun and didn’t seem reactive to much, whereas he normally would be. A neighbor walked their dog relatively near us, and my dog barked a little but he didn’t run after the dog despite not being on a leash. Usually he won’t leave my side but it can be unpredictable when it comes to dogs. The next day I took him out again and this time I forgot to put the shirt on. He was more on edge, and when a neighbor brought out their little dog, my dog went crazy and went running up to their dog barking. I grabbed him and took him straight inside. The next day, I tried it with the shirt again. This time children came running by, other dogs, etc. and he didn’t move.. he actually just lay on his side and didn’t react much. He might give a little bark here and there, but no where near his normal level of intensity.I tried his shirt during his advanced obedience training. He’s in a class with all large dogs and the first day (without the shirt)he was shaking and just terrified. He would bark everytime the other dogs seemed to be a safe enough distance away, and wouldn’t perform anything in front of the class since he was so scared. (sometimes I think my dog is bipolar). The second day of class (with the shirt) he was way more calm and less scared of the other dogs. We walked by 3 large dogs and he didn’t make a peep. He performed in front of the class and was just more mellow overall, although he is still shakey and seems scared.I gave it 4 stars because I DO see improvement in my dog and it has only been about a week or so. However, I feel that although it takes the edge off him, I don’t feel like the videos they post showing miraculous changes just by putting on the shirt are accurate. Perhaps there are dogs that this effect will happen, but I would consider it a rarity rather than the norm. I would have preferred more accurate marketing that really stresses the need to do behavioral modification in addition to the shirt. They do mention this, but its very brief compared to the marketing showing it as a miracle shirt. And after reading so many reviews, it seems I’m not alone in this shirt being part of a process rather than a fix.Overall, I recommend it and I’m going to try it with my friend’s dog who is VERY hyper and see if it solves any issues with him.EDIT: The shirt worked miraculously on my friend’s dog. The dog is high strung, paces, jumps up on people and overall just “starving” for attention. Won’t let you pet any other dogs and has to be the center of attention constantly, which wears my friend out.We put the shirt on him and he just calmed down completely to normal dog levels. He lay down, relaxed.. yet, when the other dogs wanted to play, he still had energy to play. I played fetch with my dog in front of him and he just lay down and watched and didn’t have the urge to go get the ball himself, which he normally would do.We took the shirt off him to see if maybe he was just in a mellow mood and he immediately got hyper and started pacing everywhere again. She’s going to be buying one of these shirts because it made such a big difference in how he behaved.

Not Just for Thunderstorms
Our adult daughter rescued a dog that is terrified of thunderstorms (and sometimes of people and other animals). The jacket definitely helped with the dog’s anxiety during storms. She drools and stays close to us but is not running around terrified. We discovered other uses for the jacket during fireworks and walks where there are distractions. We have spent thousands of dollars on dog training, and she is significantly better, but the jacket has helped reduce general anxiety (like a weighted blanket for humans). We put the jacket on walks or when there is a lot of activity around our house. She stopped barking at everything. It’s not a total fix but a tool to help her. I can’t say enough how much good has come from this. Don’t leave it on all day because it can rub, we do less than 4 hours at a time.

Makes All of the Difference!
We have a mini Aussie who we’ve come a long way with, with his anxiety. He is always pacing and our long walks don’t tire him easily. He also does not like loud banging and popping noises (balloons popping, guns (we live on a military installation), thunder, and fireworks. It really drives him crazy and our comfort and love is not enough to soothe him. Let me tell you that this shirt has made all of the difference! He is much calmer and does not pace around like before and is not constantly begging for our attention. He has adjusted to it very well and we are on day two. I am curious to see how he will be wearing it on 4th of July. I would say put it on them on at least 30 minutes before a triggering event to get them used to it. It takes our dog about 30 minutes before he starts to calm down. So if you know thunderstorms are forecasted or you plan to take your dog to an event where there’s a lot of people and loud noises, give them some time of wearing the shirt before these things start. We are happy with our purchase and have zero complaints.

Very anxious dog happy with her new shirt
My dog has relaxed big time since having the thunder shirt. She wags her tail every time I take it out and enjoys wearing it. I give it a 10/10 and recommend it to all. I do think it has made training a lot easier for with the shirt on and she is a very anxious dog.

Love but Medium too small for older beagle
My 11 yr old beagle has a very big belly because they love to eat! She’s only 32 lbs so the medium should have been fine, but it barely covered her chest properly. Had to reorder and get a large. Otherwise, LOVE the thundershirt and have used one her whole life. They don’t wear out!

I thought it was never going to work because there is hardly any weight to it. I thought it was supposed to work like a weighted blanket. We put it on our dog for the fireworks and it was amazing how well he reacted. SSo glad I tried it before returning it!

Works great
My dog is deathly afraid of fireworks and thunder. He runs behind my couch every time it starts. This was the best invention for nervous dogs. Fits good.
Bought this for my dog when me and my husband split because she’s never been alone. One of us has always been there with her and she also had her sister with her. She’s very skiddish and was always shaking when I got home from work so I figured I would give it a try. Helps a little, but started giving her calming tablets also. The combination seems to be working, but the jacket alone doesn’t except she’s already use to it and hates it being taken off!

Worth Every Penny!
As I type this, my 2year old Miniature Poodle is calmly laying on the bed as my neighbors compete to see who can pop the most firecrackers and light the most fireworks. In the past, my dog would be barking, whining and running through the house. So thankful for this Thundershirt!

Comforting
So this just came today. I put it on our dog to see how she took to it. She doesn’t like storms or fireworks. She let me put it on her with no issues. She seemed ok with it. She jumped up on the couch and was comfortable enough to go right to sleep. Tonight is July 3rd… fireworks should be any time now. We just put it back on before the fireworks start. We’ll see if she still shakes and runs and hides. Fingers crossed! 🤞

Best item ever!
My fur baby panics when we travel. She pants and is has crazy anxiety ( panic-attack). I put this on her once we started driving because she was getting crazy nervous! Within 10 minutes she turned into putty. Relaxed and not stressed. I did put the calming collar on that they sell separately and did not add the essential oil to the Jacket. I thought that might be overkill. She is traveling safe and calm. I’m one happy fur baby mama! No more crawling under my feet or trying to get on my lap!

Exceeds expectations
I got this for my nervous, 55lb, husky/lab mix, and honestly just hoped it would take the edge off for him, but didn’t expect much more than that. I took him to a coffee shop this morning, and it was a miracle. Last time I took him, he barked the whole time I was inside ordering (while he waited outside), and couldn’t relax when we sat on the patio. This time he didn’t bark at all, and laid down very relaxed on the patio – even when another dog greeted him and waited for its owner on the other side of the fence. I never would have believed this was possible for my highly anxious dog!

It’s doing it’s job so far
Just got this and my dog loves it! He didn’t want to take it off. Out walking and a fireworks went off and he reacted but not as badly. I know it won’t be enough on the 4th he will still need meds but its great so far for the occasional fireworks going off at night. I am putting it on every night when we go walking for the occasional fireworks. The material is lightweight but has just enough weight so my dog feels the comfort. I like how much velcro is on it so you can get a just right fit. Now I want to try it on my other dog who gets car sick.

We weren’t sure how this vest would work with our dog who has anxiety with thunder and fireworks. It was amazing how it had such a calming affect when we put it on her. Amazing!
When I opened the box my first thought was “No Way Is This Thing Going To Work”! The 4th of July was going to be the ultimate test. We put it on her and she was very calm while the neighbors were going crazy with fireworks. We couldn’t believe it! It worked better than the description said it would. Absolutely Amazing!!

Great for reducing anxiety, especially fireworks!
I can’t say enough what a GREAT item this Thundershirt is for our dog. We have a German Shepherd dog. Prior to us placing this shirt on our her, she was stressed, whining and pacing around our home. We put the shirt on her, created a hideout and she laid there calmly. We wish we had gotten this Thundershirt sooner. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Oh snap! I think this might be what we need

My dog cannot handle rain or a thunderstorm AT ALL. This weekend it’s been raining and I have been up at night holding a shivering panting dog. He has meds that I give occasionally but the storms have been pretty much every night so. I do not want to medicate my dog like that on a consistent basis. I purchased this thunder shirt last night, actually during the storm as I was holding my dog, shivering and shaking frantically. It came the next day, which was super fast! I tried it on him for the first time with a little light rumbling going on outside. As you can see in my video, I have the TV turned up to try to drown out the thunder which if you were anything like me and have a dog like mine, you know that nothing helps however, upon putting the jacket on, he became super calm like he was medicated. He was stiff for like 15 seconds 🤣, My voice is annoying in the video so forgive me, I haven’t been to sleep in like two nights but I’m really happy after 2 nights of no sleep to see him calm. I can’t wait to test this out during the real heavy thunderstorms coming in about an hour or so because we have a severe weather alert out this evening. I was surprised to see he didn’t want to take the shirt off. But I followed the instructions and gave him a treat to reward him for wearing the shirt after 10-15 min

Works within minutes!
We use the shirt on our pup when he gets too worked up and can’t calm himself down. If we let him go too long he can become aggressive. Once he has the shirt on he will stop jumping on people, lay down and eventually slow his breathing down on his own. It has been a life saver for our family!

Holy Hekkin Heck. It Worked.
I have a boom-shy rescue coonhound who cannot stand thunder, fireworks, or gunshots. It’s pretty likely running away from one of these sounds is how we got her in the first place. She shakes so badly, and the hemp treats were only doing so much to take the edge off.I bit the bullet and got this for her Legginess, size L, and immediately, last storm, the trembling stopped. We’ve been bundling this dog up and holding her for years, so I could kick myself for not trying this sooner. This fits snug, but not too tight, and for the first time since I’ve had her, she settled down and slept through the noise. I was so skeptical, but… it worked like a charm for our neurotic princess.5/5.

It really works!
My rescue dog shakes and quivers when fireworks, thunder, and lightning happen. The Thundershirt arrived on 7/3. Thank you, Amazon, for delivering it 2 days early. Once I got the hang of putting it on him, he was much more relaxed and not trying to get in my lap.

Overshot my expectations by about a continent
I have the most anxious dog I’ve personally ever encountered. He’s very sweet and gentle but his bark is not, especially for a little Havanese guy, and he’s triggered by literally everything and everyone. The moment I put on his Thundershirt his entire demeanor changed. He’s incredibly calm and so visibly happy. I’ve tried prescription meds from the vet, I’ve tried CBD, and nothing has come close to accomplishing what the Thundershirt did instantly. I’m astounded by this product. Worth noting that my boy does seem to like wearing shirts in general, so I was reasonably confident he’d like this product, but I’m still blown away by its effectiveness and regret not purchasing sooner.

Comfort and Security
I used the size chart and it was a perfect fit for my dog. As soon as I put it on his eyes lit up and wagged his tail. Never seen anything like it. Then he ate all his food. Fireworks have gone and off all morning. Next I’ll see how it works for storms .

I think this helps my dog; it sure makes me feel better.
This is my second time, purchasing a thunder jacket for my small dog. It arrived on time and well packaged. I ordered the same size as I already had, which was an extra small for a 10 pound dog. It is much smaller than the one I have already. Not sure if it’s miss marked or is just smaller. It barely fits my dog. I do like the product and recommend it overall. I gave it the four for the size.

Great for anxious car rider
Our terrier mix doesn’t do car rides so we’ll. He gets anxious (moves around a lot, shakes, pants) especially when I’m the car for a long time or in stop and go traffic. The first day of our road trip was a pain, but we stopped off at my brother’s house and I got one of these thunder shirts. It was amazing! He has used it on 3 separate long car rides now and it changes everything. He hardly pants or shakes and he sleeps most of the ride! It’s startling how big the change is. I don’t think we’ll go on a car ride without our thunder shirt again. It’s hilarious when we take it off, it’s like a switch flipped and he gets all excited 😆We have a wire-haired terrier/mini poodle mix, 18 lbs, long and lanky.

Works Wonders
Our Flynn is terrified of thunder and fireworks. The day the shirt was delivered there was a very loud thunderstorm later that afternoon. I immediately put the shirt on Flynn (very easy) he was on my lap, fell asleep and was snoring vs shaking to pieces! Will let you know how he does with fireworks!

It worked pretty well. I believe you should put it on earlier than I did.
It was not easy to put on my wriggley dog and for the first half hour he was still upset with the booms. After that he calmed.

It works.
Didn’t take long to figure out how you put it on. I have a large breed who is terrified of thunder and fireworks. I have meds from the vet but I wanted to try this.It works for him. He immediately calmed down and laid down without meds. He slept so well. I am so relieved.

Really helping!
Years ago I had a Great Dane that was scared to death of storms/fireworks/anything loud. Had gotten her a thunder shirt and it didn’t help her at all so I didn’t put much stock into them. Got one the other day for my yorkie mix…she’s a trembling panting mess when it storms. It’s storming now and even with the thunder she barely shook and no panting! She’s not happy but she is definitely so much more calm! Glad the hubby talked me into ordering!

Great product
I am not a newbie with Thundershirts. I have owned many and this is by far the best one I have purchased. The other Thundershirts I have bought were a t-shirt material and difficult to get the massive amount of Velcro fastened. Also so much hair would collect in the Velcro. This one has far less Velcro and easier to fasten and adjust. The material feels like neoprene to me and fastens easily. So glad I found this model and have retired all the others. My big boy loves his but the little one is not a fan! She is playing statue and thinks she can’t walk in it! She is a big baby though……

Covers his pee pee
Its too big and too long based on the size chart. I was hoping to exchange it for a smaller size but when you try to exchange it there’s a list of things you can exchange it with. unfortunately the thunder shirt is not in the list of things you can exchange this with so I’m gonna have to send it back, get a full refund and then reorder it again 🙁 what a pain in the a*s. Other than that it looks good!

Calm at last
I was skeptical but thought I would give it a try. My 100 lb German shepherd has always been a nervous “Nelly” always pacing and panting. I really did not think a shirt was the answer. The moment I put it on her she was a different dog. Actually relaxes and lays down. after my husband got home I asked him if he saw what I saw. He said she was a different dog. Thank you! Thank you!

I have purchased ThunderShirts for three dogs in the past four years
This is the third ThunderShirt I have purchased over the last four years. None of the dogs I purchased the shirts for was afraid of thunder, but I have found these shirts to have a calming effect for other anxieties. The first ThunderShirt I ever purchased was a size XL for an elderly 84-pound labrador retriever to help her deal with the anxiety she experienced following a stroke. It also seemed to give some relief from the itching caused by her meds. She really liked wearing it, and would have gladly worn it 24/7, but I didn’t think that was a good idea. I was concerned she would get chafing or circulation problems from overuse, so she only got to wear it for a few hours a day. Still, I think it was an important part of the various things we did to increase her comfort until she was ready to leave this world. After she crossed over, the shirt was donated to help rescued dogs in foster care, and it was much appreciated by the foster “mom”.The second shirt was a size XS that was purchased for a rescued 11-pound rat terrier who has no issues other than sibling rivalry. He wanted to wear a ThunderShirt because his “sister” was wearing one. It also helps give him a little extra warmth in cool weather, which he really appreciates because he chills easily. And he looks really, really handsome wearing it.The third ThunderShirt was a size XXS purchased a month ago for a 5-pound chihuahua puppy I adopted two months ago. She was found abandoned in a storage container with three other dogs. She was rescued by the county animal control department and given veterinary care until she recovered enough to be adopted. She has issues. Many, many issues. She hadn’t been socialized at all and was absolutely terrified of people. She hadn’t been potty trained. She was not much more than skin and bones — you could easily see the outline of every rib. She obviously had been badly abused and she has a leg injury that may never heal completely. She didn’t know how to walk on a leash and was terrified to try. She shook with fright for fifteen minutes when shelter staff placed her in my arms. She screamed and screamed and screamed in absolute terror when a very gentle friend of mine tried to pet her. After a month of training and socialization, and lots and lots of love, my chihuahua had gained a whole pound, was starting to get the idea about where to go potty and where not to , and had learned how to use a doggie door! But she was still exhibiting a lot of fear and anxiety, so I got her the ThunderShirt. I forgot to go through the recommended training process to introduce her to the ThunderShirt, but thankfully it turned out to be one of the few things that didn’t frighten her. She loves it! It doesn’t make all her issues go away, but it definitely seems to reduce her anxiety. She doesn’t have very thick fur, so she appreciates wearing any shirt, but this is the only one that helps to calm her. She, too, would love to wear it 24/7, but I won’t let her. With lots of love and positive reinforcement and her new Thundershirt, she is getting a little braver. She can’t tolerate a leash attached to her collar, but she loves to walk in familiar places with her
Bright Mesh Heart Printed Dog Cat Pet Vest Harness and Matching Leash Set in Blue for Dogs Cats (Large)
. She will cuddle with me for hours, but she cowers if I move suddenly or use a stern voice. She is afraid of anyone new, except delivery people. They might be bringing
Dogswell Nutrisca Dog Food, Salmon and Chickpea, 15-Pound Package
or
GREENIES Dental Dog Treats, Teenie, Original Flavor, 130 Treats, 36 oz.
from Amazon! :-)I wouldn’t call the ThunderShirt a miracle, but I would call it an excellent tool for helping dogs with anxiety issues. It is effective, and it is well-made with quality materials. The latest version has three new features that were not on my original two ThunderShirts: a patch for using a calming spray, snaps for attaching a jacket, and some reflective trim to make your dog more visible at night. Unfortunately, I can’t use the calming spray because I am sensitive to one of the ingredients. I would love to get the snap-on
ThunderShirt Outerwear Raincoat, X-Small
, but so far have not been able to locate one in size XXS. I do appreciate the reflective trim because it glows in the beam of my flashlight when I take my puppy out after dark.I will continue to use the ThunderShirt to help reduce my puppy’s fear and anxiety. I will be using it when I introduce her to new situations, and I will update this review to report on how that goes. The first photo below shows what the ThunderShirts look like from the front, where they can be adjusted with the velcro that is under the front tab. Of course, the photo also showcases how adorable my dogs look in their (almost) matching ThunderShirts! The second photo clearly shows two of the new features on the chihuahua’s ThunderShirt, the patch and the reflective trim at the neck. The rat terrier is wearing the older version of the shirt, which he has had for four years now. He even has his name embroidered on it.The third photo was taken with a flash to show the reflective trim doing its job.

This product has really helped our dog with fireworks and thunder
Been using this product on our Goldendoodle for 2 years. It has made all the difference in mountain thunder and firecrackers that seem to be more prevalent in my area than ever. She now longer whimpers, shakes, heavy panting or restless sleeping. It is like day and night. She stands still and wants me to put it on now. She is still clingy but will lie close by comfortably and not underfoot. She will actually sleep with it on all night. She doesn’t want to go outdoors during these events but she will go out to potty during a break of the events. She is an inside dog.

helped a little
I bought this for my Pom due to fireworks. She hides under things when they are going off. The 1st night she was ok, out of her hiding place, till the fireworks got closer, then she went under the bed. I about followed her as they are LOUD! I haven’t had another opportunity to try it out. Too hot for her outside right now.

Worth the money!
I bought one of these thinking it would not work. My dog goes crazy when there’s fireworks. She can’t sit or focus. Her breathing is always nervous and she’s a hot mess. No joke- within 10 minutes of putting this on her, her breathing relaxed and she calmed down. I was blown away!! We slept through the night for the first time on the 4th of July because of this vest! You won’t be sorry, as it’s well with the money!

AMAZING!
I am so impressed that within 10 minutes, with lightning and thunder happening outside, my little girl actually left her safe place and came into the main area of the house. We live in SW Florida, Lightning capital of the country, in the past I would give my fur baby a calming chew and she would spend the entire weather episode in her safe place. Today, almost immediately after receiving the THUNDER SHIRT, Shayna was happy! So glad we received this before 4th of July!Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

Happy dog
My dog has a separation anxiety issue and she has been destroying furnitures and house plants while I was out. When I ordered this product, I was in doubt about how effective this Thunder Vest will be for my dog and I can tell you it worked miracles!! I can still see my dog whining and barking a bit but she is a lot calmer and is less stressed when she is not around me. This vest was easy to put on and take off and the size fits my dog perfectly. I strongly recommend this product for dogs with separation anxiety!

This works
My dog is terrified of fireworks. At the first sound of a boom this 4th of July I put the Thundershirt on him, with no difficulty, and he immediately calmed. He was able to relax and lay down whereas in previous years he just paced around the house and could not settle down. It was very easy to put on him and I will be using this time and time again.
