Best impact for price
I work in construction Demolition. We sometimes use impacts to take screws off metal studs from buildings, electrical metal conduits, screws and bolts anywhere which is being reused and a variety of items needed to be impacted quickly. (we only use sockets and wrenches for very large nuts and bolts)Most of the construction industry will use brand names such as Dewault, Milwaukee etc, for its cordless impact tools. Since I didnt want to pay for brand name, I bought this deal for much lessI was glad on buying it, since it has lasted me almost 3 years of use. It came with one battery and a small corded charger. Ive dropped it several times from standing position and its impacted alot of items.Mind you now, I don’t go overboard and start impacting 50 bolts and nuts with adapter sockets made for ratchets with massive torque specs. (I would use corded impacts with 240+ torque or more,…besides, impacts were made for “un-tightening” rather than the opposite)Over time, I bought a case, (a gun case at harbor freight which seems to fit my impact drill) 2 more batteries, and replaced the charger with a faster 2 amp charger. I still use it to this day and plan on buying another one for a backup.Only downside is that there is no drill clip to hang the drill in pocket or on a lift like there is for the name brands. (I ended up using thick metal wire wrapped around grip to hang it from homemade hooks)

Works well for light automotive
I use this for light automotive repair. 3/8 square drive 1/4 hex adapter to switch between 8-17mm sockets but still able to use around the shop or house swapping to a Philips bit. I’ll test and update later on the actual torque output it has verified by a calibrated torque wrench. Probably going to end up buying a second one strictly to be used for 10mm so I’m not swapping sockets so often. Plus, once you put the 10mm socket down it’s immediately missing.

Got the job done
I already had the weed eater and leaf blower and drill by Black and Decker so just added this to do some screws in the fencing and it worked pretty well. The items all use the same batteries and chargers. No need for gas motors or extension cords for the average homeowner uses.

Works
I will admit right off the bat, I have not had this long enough to speak about how long it last but if any of my other black and decker products are a sign it should last years. That said it worked perfect, I had a bolt I could not get off and it took a few seconds and it came right off the pully. It tightened up great, worked much better than my other drills, I was surprised at the power it had with the battery. I have 8 black and decker batteries and they last a good amount of time in the drills but only about 30 mins in the weed eaters. The double batteries are much better but are not needed for the drills, unless your constantly using it non-stop for long periods of time. It comes with a single screw bit attachment that is attached by pulling back the sleeve and releasing it to lock it on the bit. I used it with a socket adapter that worked perfectly in it. I recommend this product and will order again if needed down the road. It will get bolts or nuts off pulleys that spin with a regular socket or wrench.

Pretty good
For this price, it actually has a decent amount of power. I was surprised when I first used this at what it could handle. Let me just say this though. If you are a professional contractor that does bigger jobs, you’re better off going with a DeWalt impact driver that can handle those types of workloads. If you just do small to medium sized jobs around your house, this will do just fine. The battery life is alright but could be better. Again, this isn’t the most powerful high-end driver out there, but it still performs well and is great for the average person.

A decent light duty tool
I’ve been using it for a while now, I’m a mechanic for my everyday work job. I mainly purchased this to help speed up the removal of skid plates and such and every once in a while drill some holes and such. It’s held up nicely and has done what I’ve asked of it. It’s not super strong, I’ve had it even fight to break loose some of the more heavy duty skid plate bolts like on the Toyota Tacoma’s and such but to me it’s not that big of a deal I just loosen it with the ratchet and finish it with the driver. Overall I’d say if you’re going to use it for light duty stuff you shouldn’t have issues, but if you want to seriously have some power this isn’t the one you’re looking for.

Drives screws with ease
I had my wife and daughter compare driving a 3” screw into a 2×4 with my normal Black and Decker drill, and this impact driver. The results were night and day and the look on their faces when the impact driver drove the screw so easily was well worth it!

Powerful!
I didn’t know there was such a thing as an impact driver, but oh my, oh my, do I love this tool!Hung some blinds today and the screws went in without me having to drive my shoulders and whole upper body into it like I had been doing with the drill that I’d been using previously. The walls here are weird and about 1 to 1½ inches in, it feels like I hit brick or cement and my drill can’t handle it.I did take off one star because there is only 1 Phillips bit included. The tool has a storage station for the bit on top of the driver, but it would be nice if that spot held a different Phillips bit or a flathead bit for swapping out when needed. All in all, very happy with this purchase.

Fantastic
I am 71 years old and wonder how I lived without this tool all my life. It is WAY better that the regular B&D drill I have. Now I use the regular drill to bore pilot holes and use the impact driver to install the fastener. Everyone needs an impact driver in their shop. This B&D impact driver is a steal for the price and meets all of my needs around the house. Highly recommend.

Nice homeowner tool
Lightweight and easy to use. First time was on a blower fan bolt on my lawnmower which would not come off with even the sturdiest of lever bars, one even broke. Bought this for specifically that purpose and it took bolt out on first try! Have used it to remove some wood screws imbedded into wood and backed them right out. Have not used this long enough at any one time to give battery charge a review.

My First Impact Driver
Growing up, I had to learn home improvement and fixing skills by myself on the fly. Because of this, impact drivers were a blind spot in my tool knowledge; I had vaguely heard of them, didn’t pay them any notice, since I already owned a drill and though it was redundant. Let me tell you: it’s not redundant. Being that its designed slightly different than a drill, it is much more effective and powerful at driving screws. You might say, “whatever, I’ll deal with my drill’s mediocre driving performance, it can’t be that much better,” but consider this: you will not have to swap out a drill bit and a driver bit every two seconds while doing a job. Also, many times I’ve found situations that previously would have needed a pilot hole drilled for my drill to drive the screw, it’s simply not necessary for the impact driver. So, this review is for others like me, who may not have much knowledge of these, or might be struggling to see the need for one; just go for it. It’s a sidekick tool that you’ll quickly get used to having in your arsenal, and you’ll be glad you bought it. Quality wise, I’ve used it a ton in the time I’ve had it and is holding up great. Battery lasts quite a while and the design is really helpful for getting into tighter spaces that a large drill wouldn’t typically fit.

Incredible driver drill for hobbyists and shade tree mechanics
INITIAL IMPRESSIONThe chucks on regular drills are poorly suited for driver bits. Even if the bit spins in the chuck just once, damage is done. To prevent wear on my drills and save time, I had to get an impact driver. The Black + Decker BDCI20C 20V MAX Lithium Impact Driver met my needs on paper. It’s half the price of the popular contractor brands, but the torque and bpm’s is comparable. Low cost off brand high capacity battery replacements are available, which of course provides longer life, and also greater capacity to drive difficult screws as one popular Youtuber found, and provides greater assurance of being able to keep this tool powered for many years to come. The balance with the 1.5Ah battery is at the bottom of the trigger. Even though this tool is capable of variable speed, the manual recommends using full speed to prolong tool life. There is a small LED above the trigger, and a magnet on top of the drill for holding bits. The chuck is about 1 inch deep and is not magnetic, and requires bits with large U slots rather than the kind that has a tiny groove that barely knicks the corners. This will primarily be used on my cars, motorcycle, bikes, around the house and maker creations. I take care of my tools at home and work, so this review won’t cover abuses like letting the motor get infiltrated with metal grinding dust, storing the battery at 0% charge for long periods, or trying to use it like an impact wrench.Overall it’s a great first impression. I’ll provide several updates in the future.Update 1: This has plenty of power, but like any impact driver with a small battery, it fades on long screws due to voltage sag. If this happens, charge the battery back up, or get a larger battery because they’re more resistant to voltage sag. On Youtube check out a video by Charlie DIYte titled “Difference between Drill Drivers & Impact Drivers” starting at 9:45. So far I’ve used mine to replace an oil pan and reinforce some decking with 2 inch screws. It’s about to get a lot more use.

Excellent Little Beast for Home Projects
This thing is perfect for home use when you need more power than just a drill. We had a chance to use it for installation of some shelves and it drove the screws into the studs super easy and fast. Very easy to use and operate. This is a great addition to our set of B&D 20v cordless power tools.

Useful Information
This is a great impact for DIY people as well as people, like myself, who need it for work but not on a contractor level of use. Impact is great when your drill/driver just won’t cut it and you find yourself leaning 60 degrees against it to get grip. This B&D has plenty of torque (I want to say ~1300 in/lb), variable speed trigger, trigger activated led and works with the 20V max line of batteries, of which one is included + charger. I use it for everything, so far up to #9 4-5” deck screws and counter sinks them with ease. Battery life is good, best to have two for long jobs or easily upgraded if needed. Included battery is 2.5 A hr. Included 1 2”philips bit. Quick change chuck for impact/slotted bits. If you plan on using your standard 1/4” bits, you’ll need a magnetic bit holder designed for impact. Yes, the yellow one is better, stronger and available brushless. This is his little orange brother and only costs half as much. Highly recommend for DIY.

New favorite tool
Bought this since I have 8 B&D 20v batteries already. This is great, I’ve used this as a masonry drill, and assemble a kids playset. Handled lag bolts and 3/8 bit into brick without an issue. Compared to a B&D drill/driver this is great. Can’t comment on how it compares to other impact drivers.

Came partially charged, and ready, but the driver bit is NOT impact rated!???
I buy dewalt for most tools however not battery op stuff. I had two dewalt drill/drivers with batteries that don’t run in cold weather or charge in my workshop which is often below 40 degrees and kills the batteries. Yes the manual says that is an issue, and also i believe says this in Black and Decker manual as well, but the B&D has no trouble charging or operating in cold weather. I know that sounds silly because supposedly they are “the same batteries” but i can tell you this is not the case here. So that is why I now bought the B&D impact. However, why the heck is the bit that comes with it a generic low quality bit that is NOT impact rated? I tried it on one screw on my bench to see if it would “impact” it in further than my screw gun did and it just mangled the bit to pieces. I already have to throw it away and replace it

Great Quality for it’s Intended Use
I was initially hesitant because several reviews described this impact driver as under powered or failure prone. For that reason I spent the extra $3 for the three year protection plan so I could have it replaced if it failed.I read reviews for several other brands of impact driver including Ryobi, Rigid, Dewalt, etc. All of them had a few bad reviews and most of them were for the same types of things. There was not a higher instance of failure with any of the brands, judging from the reviews. This one is about half the cost of some other brands so I went with it. I have not been disappointed.I’ve had it for about 2 months and have driven around 300 deck screws 3-1/4″ long. As far as I can tell, most of the negative reviews were written by people who thought they were buying an automotive grade electric impact wrench not a carpentry impact driver. Impact wrenches and drivers are not the same thing. This would be fine for light mechanical work on a bicycle, motorcycle, or smaller parts of a car or truck, but if you were using hand tools and you couldn’t remove a bolt with a 3/8″ ratchet, you probably shouldn’t be trying to remove it with this tool either. So far I’ve framed up two bedrooms, half a bathroom, and a small hallway with this tool. The only time it falters is when the battery is getting weak. I’ll be rebuilding stairs and a deck in the spring. If my review is still 5 stars after May of 2019 then it’s still going strong.

After 2yrs of abuse, I can’t be more surprised with the durability
Been 2 years with it. I bought this although the reviews said that the battery are first to go within the year. With that said 2 YEARS STRONG. No it can’t remove lug nuts, i tried multiple times ( lug nuts are 80-120ft pounds of torque) but the Impact is amazing removes everything else that isnt that tight. Battery lasts a long time even with abuse. Lets just say there is better Impacts but this is a really good one and is forsure not the worst or near it.

Great for homeowner, maybe not for the contractor.
This is a great impact for the DIY homeowner but NOT a contractor. I was impressed with how well this tool worked for basic 3 inch decking screws. I used it for roughly 40% of the screws you see in this deck on a single charge. I would guess about 150 to 200 screws with great torque. After a fully recharged battery, I moved on to the 8 inch lag bolts to the ledger board. After about 12 painful bolts I learned this drill though great for the typical homeowner, is not ideal for heavy contractor work. I recommend this for the person who may need occasional heavy usage but more often than not, will be doing simple DIY jobs around the house or shop. High torque jobs may be too much to handle but this driver gets the job done on typical screws.

My go to screw and small bolt remover in the shop.
This impact is fairly weak, but for me that’s a good thing, as I’m mostly using it for small nuts and bolts (14mm or less) that would be destroyed by a regular impact. Probably makes 100 ft lbs in ten seconds on forward with a fully charged battery, and less than that in reverse. It will loosen most non rusted fasteners torqued to 75 ft lbs or less. Great for top engine stuff, battery replacement, and quickly zipping splash shield bolts out and in.

A Must Have Tool
When young you get your basic tools and hopefully learn to use them effectively i.e. a standard torque drill. You might even struggle for years trying to drive screws etc… in some of the more difficult applications but still not wanting to spring for an actual impact driver like this. I’m telling you, you can’t have one without the other because just like with all things in this world, they have vastly different duty capabilities and there truly is a tool for every job out there. It took me entirely too long to buy this and I’m completely glad I did. No screw has been a struggle with some significant home projects I’ve had recently. It’s light compact design allows you to get into tight spaces much easier than the bulky 20v standard drill I’ve been using. The trigger takes some getting used to because it’s touchy and spins much faster and of course stronger than you might be used to. I have quite a few tools now all with the B&D 20v charging system and it’s been great. Batteries have lasted for years and keep going.

Inpressive
Black and decker is not the best brand by far. But paying 50$ for an impact driver, battery and charger is hard to beat. It drives much slower than my DeWalt. It is pretty light. Battery life is ok, I drove around 150 screws before I had to switch out. The chuck is aggravating, you have to use both hands to change bits. It heats up a little bit with prolonged use. But it never gave up. I hung 200 drywall boards before buying a DeWalt for the faster speed. Now I use it for misc stuff around the house. Highly recommend.

Works great. Good for those jobs that need the extra power a regular driver doesn’t give you. Found the quick release adapters at my local hardware store, so I can use it with my existing tools. However if you want to use drill bits, you may want to purchase a set that work with quick release when you buy this.

Great Tool!
I love this tool. I think it might be an entry level dewalt in disguise? IDK but I imagine this and the 99$ dewalt have some very similar parts internally. I think this one is actually rated for higher inch LBs of max torque.Anyway I bought this cause I wasnt ready to buy the brushless dewalt yet (Almost 200$). I do some real estate investing / rehabbing and so far this tool has excelled at anything and everything ive needed. It will EASILY pull a screw in one side , all the way through, and out the other side of pressure treated 4×4. Using a screw to make holes, what an odd idea, I just wanted to see if it would ever bottom out or if the screw would just keep going. Also I love impacts, I struggle keeping the bit in the screw with a drill, but not with this guy.Anyway 5/5 Value. Also much less likely to get stolen… (Another reason I went with black and decker and not dewalt. Nobody wants to steal black and decker tools lol)Update: Dropped to 4 stars. The charger that it comes with is a joke!
