The Connect 4 game is a classic strategy game in which 2 players go head-to-head in a battle to own the grid!
Players choose yellow or red discs. They drop the discs into the grid, starting in the middle or at the edge to stack their colored discs upwards, horizontally, or diagonally. Use strategy to block opponents while aiming to be the first player to get 4 in a row to win. The Connect 4 game is a great choice for a play date, a rainy day activity, or anytime your kids want a fun game to play with a friend. It’s fun to go 4 the win! For ages 6 and up.

Getting back to basics
Old school games. No tech, No TV, just good times with actually communicating. My husband and I had a baby in May 2022! It wasn’t until she was about 7 months old. We’d realized that things were going all wrong. We weren’t exactly spending time together, or speaking much to each other. When we did it was almost always an argument. He said let’s get board games. Oh 90s game
I absolutely LOVE this game! It took me some time to kinda “connect” how to play. Just because I hadn’t played literally since I was a kid. But I’ve beat my kid’s multiple times! My youngest is good too! So she’s a lot harder to beat! My husband has tricks, so he can win multiple ways. I bought this for a fun family movie night. They enjoy it at their grandparents house. I felt like we needed one for our home.

Takes me back to my youth!
I had this game during my youth and just had to buy it for my students. I did notice that the colors have changed, though. The part where the discs go into used to be yellow and the playing discs were red and black. The new colors are ok, I just feel a little nostalgic about it. 😉

This game is a classic. I grew up with it and now my kids get to learn. I got this at under 10dollars and is great value for me. Bought as a group Xmas gift for siblings. Can still be enjoyed by adults.Highly recommend it. It is exactly as I remembered it, playing a set in elementary school! If it can survive a mob of elementary students playing it day after day, I’m sure it can survive my household.

Okay
So far, so good. It’s holding up, but it seems a bit lightweight. One thing that annoys me is that the slide bar at the bottom to release the pieces after a game is over moves very, very easily. Too easily IMO. But it’s serving my purpose of increasing fine motor skills for my young granddaughter. She likes putting the pieces in the slots, but it will be another year probably before she understands the real goal.

The CLASSIC Connect 4
This is the classic Connect Four game – a “timeless and entertaining board game that is perfect for players of all ages”. I play this with my wife and with our toddler – they both love it. Doesn’t beat sticking with tried and true sometimes. The rules are simple and my toddler can play along with help (I remain undefeated against her).

Great way to teach kids to strategize
Initially the kids were simply putting the pieces into the slots at the top to fill up all spaces. After a few days though I was able to get them to choose a color and still they were simply filling all spaces. Hopefully the older one will start understanding the point of this game. They are 2 and 4 so not quite ready for this game accoridng to the age rating on the box.

fun game but missing pieces
It is a fun game, my kids love it, but it comes with missing pieces, two yellow and one red pieces are missing, so there should be 42 in total, but I just got 39 pieces.

Get Ready for Fun in One, Two, Three…
A great game that has simple strategy and can be played for a few rounds of fun. I played this game a lot when I was younger and bought a new one when I saw it on sale. It makes for a good present for a niece or nephew, but is a classic and always kept on the game shelf. It isn’t great for travel though due to fragility, usually only ever played at home.
