FEIT is a great product! I was a manager at Home Depot for the last 15 years and never had a problem with FEIT products. My LED light strip was easy to mount and hookup to wifi. The bonus remote is an added feature!

Good overall, esp if you have other feit lights
There is a color issue as noted by other reviews. The yellow/orange range is tinted by green, so there’s just a sliver of orangeish light between very green and very red spectrum. I have some of the feit rgb light bulbs and i have to heavily skew the color selection on the strip to match the bulbs. But otherwise it works well. The app is servicable. It does the important things i wanted (setting the light to come on at specific time with a specific color) but some functionality in the app could be much better. For instance, there seems to be no way to set up an auto rainbow color fade with a timer – solid colors only unless manually programmed to do red for one minute, then green for a minute, etc. Tedious. I like the included remote because it makes basic features simple to access vs using the clumsy app (like a rainbow fade). I also like that the white leds are not a cold blue light.I used this light strip for under cabinet lighting. I got some generic strip connectors as recommended in the questions, wire and aluminum channeling. Fairly easy project for my first time working with led strip lighting and it really brightens up the kitchen. Turns dishwashing into a party if you put on the rainbow lights. So far no major connection issues aside from a bit of lag. The lights reliably turn on/off at programmed times. Overall, seems like a good addition to other feit lights in my home.

Bought one of these from Costco a while back. Adhesion and light quality is nice, works well. The remote doesn’t work at all, though, which is incovenient

I love these lights
I absolutely love these lights! I initially purchased them to run down my hallway because it is a very dark hallway with no natural light. My father is older, and I didn’t like him feeling like he had to walk around with a flashlight at night. These are perfect and I can change the color and brightness any time I want through the app. I have it set for a timer so it automatically comes on and off as I determined, so I have them from sun down to sun up, so there is always light in the hallway for people to safely walk without having to find a switch. I liked it so much, I purchased 2 more. One now lights up my basement steps and one is on my patio lighting up my hot tub area. The remote didn’t work well on two of my strips, but it doesn’t matter since my Alexa app and the Feit app on my phone both will operate it better than the remote. I’ve had them up and running for about two months, and I am very happy with them. The adhesive on the lights is VERY strong, so once you stick it you cannot adjust without ripping the wallboard paper/paint behind. On the plus side, that means it is less likely to come down when you don’t want it to.

PROs:+ Tape on strip light extra sticky+ Able to hold up outside thus far+ Color is bright!+ Remote/Smart Function works well+ Good amount of length (had to buy two for my pergola 10×10)+ On/off plus dimmer on actual switch near plug+ Able to trim for smaller areas+ Came with Mounting clips+ super easy to connect (do it close to the router first and shouldn’t have any issues wherever you put it long term).CONS:+ tape was extra sticky so had to make sure it didn’t stick to the paper side when first pulling it offAll in all really glad I bought these. Nice addition to patio. I like that there are literally 3 ways I can control these (smart, remote, additional switch near the plug). Going to buy more soon!

No power to lights when first plugging in
I have two sets of strip lights. The first one easy setup no problem. The second one the lights will not turn on. I plugged them into the same outlet as my first one, Nothing. Tried a different outlet still nothing. I emailed customer support of the actual product. They sent me a list of things to try. None worked I told them this. They called me. Told me to keep trying. Nothing work. I’m about done with this companies products.

Great lights
Got these for my home office. They are great for more subtle lighting when I don’t want the Overhead lights heating up the space. The remote works fine and the app is also user friendly.

Cannot connect strips for larger areas
you can’t buy a male connector to connect two light strips and you can’t buy just the light strip. You just buy multiple full sets of an expensive product just so you can extend the strip in larger rooms. This creates excess waste because you don’t need two plugs and two remotes and you can’t use the trimmed off light strip, you just have to throw it all away because it is useless. Terrible. Buy a light strip from a company that lets you connect multiple strips.

Drops WIFI connection constantly
I installed 12 sets of these for s clientI have been back at least 12 times in the last 3 months because they constantly loose wifi connection.I have contacted fiet multiple times with no solution to the problem.Now thatey are justy ghosting me.I will never buy, or recommend these again.I have to go back and replace all of these with something else.It’s costing me Thousands in labor and materials.Extremely unhappy!Other than the unreliability of the controls , the lights are really nice.

Terrible does not connect to wifi
I’ve been trying to connect this too wi-fi for 2 days now. These lights do not work do not waste your money. the wifi router is 3 feet away. terrible product.

Received Used
When I opened the box to install, there was paint stuck to the tape along the entire strip. It looked like someone had put this up and when they peeled it off, the paint came off with it. So I suppose you could assume that the sticky tape is good quality? I never even plugged it in, I just returned it and received full refund. I tried to order it again, but this brand was sold out. We have never had any issues with this brand… until now.

Opened package and noticed product box had some wear already and the tape had been peeled back. All the parts were loose inside and the mounts were missing. Bought this “New” but obviously this has been used or is a return with missing parts.

Absolute JUNK
This is a cheap product that’s not worth buying. The box that hooks up the power is very touchy. It doesn’t work most of the time. I installed these on a ceiling. The box is in the way, no place to conceal AND it won’t work most of the time. There are better options than this. Avoid these!

These are junk
I worked for a half hour to get them to pair/work/change color and all they did was turn on and off using the hard wired button. For nearly $40 these should work easily. Don’t buy Feit products or you’ll be frustrated like me.

Now after firmware update, Retains settings even after power off !
Works fantastic. Just bought this elsewhere, and when first turned on it would not retain settings. After connecting to wifi the app said firmware update was available. After the update and power off,. When turned back on it now doesn’t immediately go into pairing mode but comes back on with the previous color settings… Yaaay

If buying additional cables later, make sure it’s the same model
Easy to set up, cheap, and great color.Only problem is that I bought one at Costco and then another a month later and the color hues for purple and green on the pair of them are violet/lilac and green/yellow. Ie; when the strips are together, one of them is bright green and the other is a very yellow green. All of the other color ranges are fine and my only guess is that they changed the types of leds they used in later productions so just keep that in mind.That being said, very decent for the price

Horrible execution – software and features aren’t good.
I really wanted to like these. Physically they look smart; would be easy to link multiple strips together – which I was hoping for.Unfortunately: that’s all the good that I can say. Two sections of the strips have color problems (like some of the colors don’t work); notice in the picture that while the strip should have been warm white/orange; some were only green. A different section had a different color problem (so the didn’t happen at the same time).It’s likely just a bad strip/batch; but there’s larger problems. The unit has no memory. If you set it to a color or scene; when you turn it back on it’s no longer that setting or color. So each time you’d have to re-change it to be the effect you wanted. That makes it almost useless to me.The other problem is that while it may be Alexa compatible (I didn’t try that after finding out it wouldn’t work for my needs); voice (Alexa/Google) can’t set it to a scene. Only a solid color. That almost defeats the purpose of having color-changing!This will be going back.

Terrible! Very buggy system!
Extremely buggy! It won’t reconnect to my phone after trying for a 1/2 hour! So frustrating! Also sometimes some of the colors won’t work unless I constantly reset it. Especially blue. Which means you don’t get purple, or orange either. It stoped working for the 3rd time in day so I’ve been trying to connect it again to my phone for a 1/2 hour. Not worth the hassle of trying to get it to work properly.

Proprietary connectors and no other products available
My son received this 16 ft. LED Smart Strip Light product for Christmas. The proprietary connectors don’t allow you to join other LED strips. No other products are offered by the Feit Electric that include a less expensive roll of lights. Beware if you buy, you maybe stuck with purchasing only this $60 product if your needs included more than 16 feet total of strip lights.

Remote is Very Sensitive/ Doesn’t work well
Once it connected to the app, it wouldn’t change colors, now it only turns green and white. The remote is very sensitive which may be the reason why it broke. I do not recommend it at all

Not my first set
I have half a dozen (okay I have 4) of these. Same brand so I don’t have to dl tons of apps. Works with my google home. I connected two and ran along my dark hallway. Adhesive is good. Does come with little rubber hooks to wrap around to keep in place. I moved one of my sets so often and it’s placement makes it hard to use those rubber things. So hot glued in random parts.
