   Gorgeous lights

   Lights are fantastic, adhered well to my brand new solid wood Walnut bed frame. I was originally going to put them under the kitchen cabinets, but was informed by Litcessory that it will be a year until compatible extensions and other attachments are available for the gradient strips. Not wanting to waste them by having them sit for a year until then, I purchased additional extensions and put them around my new King size bed (The pictures taken are with my old Queen size mattress on the bed before my new King mattress arrived). I’ve set these up to trigger via a Philips Hue motion sensor when someone gets out of the bed and it casts a gorgeous soft glow at night, and adds ambiance to the room (which is admittedly still slowly being setup after my move).The review about the price is ridiculous. Yes, they’re way overpriced. We know that. That isn’t a review, that’s just complaining, as valid as it may be. The light perform phenomenally and will go toe to toe with or outclass any others. The downside is, you pay way too much for this and honestly if I wasn’t so locked in to the Hue ecosystem, I wouldn’t have either. If you’re not balls deep in the Hue ecosystem, explore the Govee lights or do some research on alternative gradient lightning. I’m only just starting to explore Smart Home accessories and setups so I’m still unfamiliar with the capabilities of HomeKit or Google Assistant. I believe there are ways to trigger scenes and the like blending Philips Hue lights with other brands and they may be the ticket. The only other downside with that method is possible issues with color matching, but I’m sure with some manual tweaking you can setup scenes where the difference is completely imperceptible.Anyhow, if you’re like me and pretty nestled into the Philips ecosystem, I would say it’s worth it to just pony up the cash and grab these, they really are a stunning improvement over the last generation of light strips!

   Expensive but amazing

   I linked two together and they fit around my door frame perfectly. Super bright and look great. They are not cheap but the Hue system works really well. The adhesive is kind of blah but I just got double sided tape (otherwise would be 5 stars).

   It transformed my living room

   I just love the different moods that I can create with these strips – from morning to night. My living room was very boring: plain white walls, minimal furniture, etc., but this strip helped to change the whole look and feel of the room. In the early morning, I start with faint yellow and blue lights to mimic the light of the sunrise outside. By the end of the night, I get ready for bed by switching the lights to dark blues before shutting them off until morning. The cons:1. the adhesive didn’t last more than a month. We had to use a stronger adhesive that we purchased separately.2. The extension connection area disconnects easily and can easily be broken because of the tiny pins. You just need to be careful handling the connections.

   Love the Hue system

   I know the Hue system can be a bit of a pain, but the color quality can’t be beat. We use these above our cabinets in the kitchen to give us softer light than the overhead. We can also give our kitchen a festive feel during parties or holidays.

   This product is a mixed bag. Great lights but finicky and don’t stick.

   I adore Hue lights and own hundreds of dollars worth of Hue lights. These were used for the kitchen.PRO- They look great. The ability to adjust the tone/color is wonderful. Overall just top notch quality I’ve come to expect from Hue.- The ability to cut and reattach them is a big plus (especially because you will probably break one bit trying to install them.CON- These *do not stick*. Period. They don’t! I have tried everything to keep them stuck to the underside of my kitchen cabinets. They don’t stick. I cannot understate how much they do not stick.- I have used clips to keep them in place. These work for about 2 weeks at a time before coming off.- The strip itself is made of a chunky plastic. This makes them heavy and bulky, which makes the sticking thing even worse.- The thickness means they don’t bend well, and any bends will cause tension which, again, interferes with stickiness.- They are SUPREMELY DELICATE. You cannot press the lights hard or they will break (turn all green). I learned this the hard way.- Since they don’t stick, you will be tempted to press them into the thing they’re supposed to stick to. This will break the lights and then they still won’t stick.Overall, despite the flaws, I DO recommend these lights. they are just beautiful in the kitchen. But be prepared to wage a war over stickiness with these things.

   Works great!

   Works great! Installed under vanity and paired with Aqara sensor so when door opens lights go on for 10 minutes. No more stubbing toes and waking up everyone!

   Good,, Not great

   I was in the market to upgrade our living room with some new technology. Everyone online raves about these lights! They are great but..PROS: Easy to setup with Amazon (alexa) – I am able to control from my phone ap or verbally tell ALEXA “Let there be light and it turns on”Very bright or dim depending on the “mood”CONS:rather thick for a light stripdoes not bend, so if you want to make 90 degree turns in your setup, you have to order the corner unitsBulky Transformer,(not usb like other light strips) This made it bulky behind the TV,, even though I have an extending FULL motion bracket.I thought it was “peel and stick” be careful when unrolling it, I unrolled it too fast and the 2face tape that was provided came off. DIY HACK: I ended up using COMMAND Strips in place of the 2 face tape.No Motion: If you want the light strip to fully sync with the Movies//TV programming, You have to get a SYNC BOX and re wire your Media through the SYNC BOX (retail 499.99) rather expensive.No Hub included: If you want to control multiple lights with your amazon ap – you have to get the philips HUE BRIDGE (retail 50.00) and have it hard wired to your network ( i am in this process at the moment) I havent bought the bridge yet.Overall its really seamless and good construction, just be ready to purchase add ons to fully have a SMART HOME LIGHTING.Thanks, T

   Attach with something else

   I bought a remanufactured unit which works well enough but the adhesive that is on it is absolutely horrible. I used what was there and the strip ended up falling down. Next I tried some poster strips (3m command brand) and the lights fell down again. It wasn’t the strip that failed but where it was attached to the old adhesive on the light strip. Now I am using some Gorilla double sided tape to hold it up and I expect it to fall again so my next step is to get some Goo Gone and wipe all the delivered adhesive off of the strip to get a good seal with the gorilla tape.

    Gen z era , as a millienal

    New to the light strip era. I’ve been on the smart era for around 5 years now,Just recently started tinkering with the Phillip light category, I’m still an mediocre investor in this project,But I’ve learned quite a deal,With the extension methods, I didn’t have any luck cutting it, and then trying to reconnect,I was able to get the extension cable they make work,But it worked really wonky for about 1 year. The light strip was always one color, (and the extension would always be another color)To prevent this, I recommend plugging in all the extensions first,prep your area, where the light strip will go with a double sided adhesive.Get your ladder ready if needed, and reaching stick if installing this via 1 person,And it should make it a “measures ton easier”To get this thing mounted, and situated in a permanent position, that can easily be removed if need be, for lease or anything.This product goes into depth, you can sink it with your desktop,To mimic your gaming experience.It doesn’t just do all the work, straight out of the box, it does require some doctoring,Feel free to call your local tech, Keo

    Priced well beyond the point of diminishing returns

    So in any sort of consumer product sector you’re going to have various “tiers” of product. At one end it’s as cheap as we can make it by cutting corners and at the other end we have over-engineered splurges where every penny is being wrung out of you for often dubious gains. Think like basic HDMI cable vs. quadruple gold plated name brand HDMI cables. This is well into the realm of dubious gains.I’ll be upfront with you. Every smart bulb/strip/lamp/etc is competing with the dead simplicity of just using your existing devices with a cheap smart plug and even within that context I have a hard time justifying these Hue products. You’re paying a huge premium to have granular control of individual bulbs within their (admittedly slick) app. These products are for relatively wealthy people and/or hobbyist lighting/smart home enthusiasts. Don’t take it personally, this isn’t a call out, it’s reality.This holds doubly true for this *extremely* expensive LED light strip. I cannot emphasize how expensive this product is. I want you to understand: this is just an LED light strip and there are LED light strips you can buy on this website for less than a dollar per meter. Sure, they’re cheap mass produced LEDs with cheap, paper strips and bare circuitry, but functionally speaking they do the job just fine. The exact same job this Hue strip is setting out to do, with just a tiny bit more DIY.This nearly $70 package comes with 2 whole meters (6f) of lighting. That is over $10/ft. The LED strips I normally buy are less than 30 cents per foot. This is not a value prospect, at all. I’ve done entire custom lighting projects with smartphone controls for less than half the cost of this single 6ft light strip + “base kit”.So for that price, what are you even getting? Well, in the box you get the light strip and the power supply “base kit”. The strip itself is nice, I’ll be honest. Compared to cheaper strips, the Hue strip has a clear plastic housing, and a rather clean facing even in places where you can see the circuitry. It has clear markers for where it can be cut and re-attached. It definitely feels like a premium light strip when you’re handling it, whatever that means.Unsurprisingly, the adhesive backing isn’t good enough for the job it’s trying to do, the extra housing on the strip makes it quite heavy. You will need actual double sided tape or command strips to mount this, not whatever post-it note adhesive they’re trying to use.The base kit is fine? The power cable is quite long, but I’ll be honest and say that I prefer the wiring on some of my cheaper light strips – much easier to hide and much much easier to “split” to multiple locations. The designed intent for this power strip as sold here seems to be that it’s run as a single strip with a single power source at one end.As far as the lights themselves, I really like them. They’re bright and vibrant and this strip alone easily casts enough light to brighten a room if used strategically. The app gives you substantial control over the brightness and color hue, and even supports “scenes” where it will cycle through pre-programmed color sets. If you’re after mood lighting, these definitely fit the bill for any mood.One thing to note: the base station is what does the “smart” controls, the strips themselves are not special in any way aside from being housed in plastic. Just like cheaper LED strips, you can cut and reconnect the strips in various configurations provided you have the correct accessories (sold separately). But I want to emphasize that this strip is almost exactly the same as its cheaper counterparts in terms of functionality. Also: every strip connected to one base station acts as one unit. You cannot independently control parts of the light strip, it’s all or nothing per-base station.The app is its whole own review, honestly. It’s nice, at least on android. The controls are intuitive and clear. Putting devices into groups and setting up schedules is a snap and it does pretty much everything you expect it to.So, look, this is getting a bit long and ultimately no matter how impressive these are, they can’t possibly be impressive enough to justify a 1000%+ price premium over the baseline. I have entire lighting setups in whole rooms that I’ve done for a fraction of the cost of this one strip, and those setups offer me just as much flexibility (if not more) because I’m not worried about spending $10/ft for more lights strips. All you’re paying for here is there app, essentially. It’s a good app, but it is not worth whatever this premium is. Look into cheaper options, you won’t regret it.

    Good strip of lights

    There is a space between the lights some people may not like that. What I liked was the ability to sync them to my hue app and picking light streams. CON: I couldn’t find where to replace just the adapter and little connection box that connect to the lights. After moving the strips around that part got crushed under the ladder (🤷🏽‍♀️) I had to buy a. New box. At total cost again! Cut the old strip and connect ( a connector comes with the package thank goodness) to the new one. So thank little power box cannot be brought by itself.

    The lights are amazing but in order to get 2 separate colors on at the same time, I had to buy 2 separate light systems. The look and ambiance is amazing. I’m also able to change the color thru the app. I would definitely buy again.

    The lights are pretty bright and they are pretty customisable

    I like the lights my only reservation is that even though it is called a gradient strip, it is separated into 3 sections of lights so it doesn’t necessarily feel like a true gradient light in my opinion.

    Cool Product, But Serious Flaws

    As with all Hue products, this is really cool and bright, but the two main negatives in my opinion would keep me form buying additional light strips as I planned. First, price is decent for about 5 feet of lightstrip. Retail is $99 and I paid $71 on AMZN. My first problem is the adhesion is ZERO. Non-existent. There is literally NO adhesion. It will not stick to anything, not even glass. Therefore this leads me to my second issue, you can only use it on a floor or table and it’s not perfectly straight or rigid so it’s curved and can’t lie flat. Very limited use and very misleading product. I have it colored red under my three-foot Lego Star Wars Imperial Destroyer and that is the ONLY reason I’m keeping this instead of returning it. Phillips Hue, VERY bad job on this product. Idea is 10/10, execution 5/10.

    Works great, but adhesion needs some improvement

    The lights work great and were easy to add to my Hue Sync setup, but the adhesion came off the back when peeling off the backing and I had to attempt to stick it back on after it stretched some, as well as the end unstuck and started curling. Not to much of a problem as these ones went under my desk but if it can be seen it would be. For a product as expensive as this, and considering I can make and “program” one myself to make it work with Hue as well it should be better.

    These lights are crisp, sharp and the colors are gorgeous. That being said, the price is extremely high. I’ve had some cheap light sets and the quality doesn’t compare to Philips. Would like to say you get what you pay for,but these are very costly.

    Great looks, okay mounting, but expensive

    Pros: The hue app is excellent, the colors are rich and accurate, and it is extremely reliable. Cons: The tape didn’t stick well to the lights themselves (but did stick well to the desk I had mounted it to), and they cost a lot more than the competition. The app made the biggest difference for me. I’ve tried a couple of other brands, but really like the interface on these MUCH more. It was worth the price for me.

    Me trying to add cool lighting to my gaming setup, A Saga

    The pros:I bought the gradient strip to put on the backside of my desk to light up the wall behind my Samsung Neo G9. It looked absolutely amazing and really took my gaming/work setup to the next level. But the fun didn’t last long.Flipping breaker in our house:Unfortunately after I bought this light strip, the breaker in our townhouse mysteriously started tripping every other day. We couldn’t figure out what the problem was. An electrician that we called asked us if we had any LED lights in the house. Surprised, we said yeah. He told us to unplug them. I unplugged this light strip and suddenly our breakers stopped flipping. Coincident? Unlikely.Prob almost burned our house down:A few weeks later I plugged the light strip back in for a day and within 30 minutes of me doing so the breaker flipped THREE TIMES in a span of like 8 minutes.Got a used product apparently:I saw in quite a few other reviews that people said they received used units despite them being advertised as new. Funny enough, when I opened mine up, the adhesive was completely detached from the strip in one spot towards the end of the strip. I didn’t give it much thought until now but why would my “brand new” light strip be in that condition?Hue customer service:By the time I realized this light strip was causing major electrical problems in our brand new townhouse I was outside the return window and had to go through Hues customer service. To their credit they did let me send the product back. They were supposed to send me another one but it was backordered for literally months but weirdly was in stock on Amazon? I guess because they’re secretly selling used units on here that others have returned for defects. Eventually Hue offered me a full refund when it became apparent that it wasn’t going to be back in stock any time soon. Whole process took like 2 months due to the back ordering issue. If I had just asked for money back right away it all prob would’ve been sorted in like 2 weeks.Summary:Was defective. Caused electrical issues in my house. Hue refunded me. Don’t waste your money.Update 2/24/23:I received one of these light strips as a gift (this one came directly from the Hue website), plugged it in, and after literally THREE days of being plugged in, the entire strip stopped working. Only the very end near the plug lights up. I’m literally flabbergasted by how poor the quality of Hue products are. It’s no wonder they don’t let customers leave reviews. I actually cannot believe they get away with selling products of this terrible quality for this much money. STAY AWAY. If you’re going to risk it with these light strips just try Govee. At least they’re half the price so if it breaks you wont get burned as bad.

    Recommend removing the dual sided tape that comes with it and use a good quality 3m double sided tape (1/2 inch tape).I have it connected with Alexa as a bed and crib light. But requires hard resets at times.

    Powercord Connecters are Flimsy

    In the right location, this light strip provides all the great ambiance effects of any hue light. In theory, this strip would work as expected, but a big disappointment is the (3) flimsy connectors along the power cord. Perhaps I received a dud unit: the product I received easily comes loose at the connector between the light strip and power cord—the connector does not attach securely. This flimsy construction causes the power cord to loosen just enough for the lights to not work, requiring manual adjustment. This light strip is positioned in a high soffit, making the adjustment a significant hassle to correct. I would not recommend the product on account of the flimsy construction. If used, I would recommend placing it in a secure place, and using electric tape to secure the powercord to the light strip. Will function, but is not the product quality I anticipated from Hue.

    I’m definitely love all my hue collection. But I have mixing feeling about this light strip. The adhesion is not very durable. Just one week of use it fall off. I had two installed few wire clips to hold it in place.

    Awesome light, but…

    I love the light, have lots of hue products already, but this light adhesive is lacking, I constantly find myself putting it back up, and am about to add my own adhesive to hold it in place behind my TV. Aside from that the light is great, and ties in all my other lights throughout the room very well.

    Great color and responsiveness

    I’ve been a hue user for almost a decade and they never falter. Between Lutron and Hue, my smart home lighting is rock solid. These gradient strips (which I added behind my computer desk) really add a lot to my setup. I can use bias when I’m working to reduce eye strain and I can get crazy when I’m playing PC games and thumping music.The one real fault I find is The sticky stuff on the back isn’t really good enough so aim to buy some third-party clips or some 3M VHB double sided tape. Other than that, very happy with these strips.

    Super cool to use and you will use them a lot!

    Had these for almost a year now and very happy with what I have. I have them installed on two tv setups now. One for the Game Room and one for Living Room where I can show off my lights at parties and such. I try to use them as much as I can. I even use them with a motion sensor in the game room as I walk in they will come on. Yes, they can get that bright to light up the room. Very good purchase, but I would recommend you spending the extra needed to get the HDMI Synch Box, as that just elevates the utilization of these lights and improves the experience. Just buy things a little at a time, as we know it can get costly very quickly. I have a Synch Box for both my game room and my living room.

    The thing is easy to set up the problem is that you have to connect it with an extender and it literally slips off each other there is no latch for to stay connected I literally use super glue for this to stay together which is kind of ghetto. Other than that the lights are nice

    Not Apple Homekit compatible, adhesive is pretty poor, no way to do right angle

    While the colors are quite beautiful and the implementation between Bluetooth app and lights were good, there’s a number of issues that are quite misleading:- This is not Apple Homekit compatible. In order to make it so, you must purchase the Bridge alongside it. The description is very misleading. The only way to access it from an iPhone is through the Hue Bluetooth app, which does not connect to Apple Home app.- The adhesive is pretty dang poor. While it feels quite sticky, the lights themselves are heavy enough that it doesn’t stay adhered to the underside of cabinets (see picture).- While you can cut these lights to fit and I believe even add more (I haven’t tested this, and given my poor experience with it, would not be surprised if it didn’t work), there’s no way to do a right angle. I suppose a little more research should have been in order on my part, but the lack of it means this really isn’t a viable product in the corners of your home. You can’t even connect a second string at that right angle.- While my next frustration isn’t necessary this specific product, it is related to the device in general. While you can set up automations in the bluetooth app, they turn off after each use. So I could set it so that in the morning the lights would turn white and bright and in the evening red and darker, but they would automate only the once. After that, I had to turn on the automations again, which defeats the point of an automation. Given the device cannot be utilized through Apple Homekit without spending an additional $60 (something I’m loathe to do since it won’t stick to the underside of my cabinets), all I really get is a remote controlled string light, which you can purchase for far less with better adhesion and better bendability with another production.So I would say overall, the lights themselves are great; the colors are great; the adhesion is poor, the bluetooth app is poor, the lack of right angle connects is a huge oversight, and the lack of Apple Homekit compatibility without any indication of the required additional $60 product should be considered false advertisement.

    Not extendable but good otherwise

    The lights are bright and work as well as all of the other Hue lights work.There are multiple versions/generations of Hue light strips all with different connection ends. This version has only 4 pins on the finished end and I’ve been unable to find a connector to extend a 4-pin finished end to another 4-pin finished end of the light strip. There are connectors for 6-pin light strips of two different pin configurations but none for these. In the cut-away picture, you can see there are 6 soldered connection lines so I probably could have soldered these together to make extensions, but that DIY work was beyond what I was willing to do for the extension that I wanted. I could cut and shorten the light strips, but extending them wasn’t practical.Other than the disappointing ability to extend the light strips, these work really well and look great. There’s a lot of customization that you can do in the app and they’re HomeKit compatible but with limited scene and color control in the Apple Home app.

    It’s Great, Albeit Short

    I love expanding my Hue ecosystem and had the original lightstrip years ago but after moving several times and it losing its adhesion, I decided to upgrade. I bought the starter pack that included an extension strip, but that wasn’t long enough so I bought this. For context, I was trying to run a lightstrip around the frame of a door. So far I’ve used one base strip and two extensions and I’m still about two feet short. These are short!! And the extensions are too short for the price. I think they should be at least 5 feet. I wanted to run lightstrips around other door frames, but that’d probably cause me to go into foreclosure at this rate. The strip itself is nice, a definite upgrade from the original. But I can’t get over the length.

    They were great until they came off the wall. I’m getting stronger adhesives though. Very bright and responsive. Only counts as 3 lights on the app no matter how many extensions you have, not sure if that’s good or bad.

    One strip worked, one didn’t.

    Love first strip, though it’s not as bright as I hoped.Bought another strip and on two inches of lights worked. Found out it was made in July of 2018. I bought it in December of 2022. Hue support told me they couldn’t help me because it was out of warranty!!!Very disappointed. Hover is much cheaper. For twice the price I expected it to work.

     A simple vista, se ve de muy buena calidad como todos los productos Hue, es una notoria mejora de la anterior Lighstrip Plus, ya que deja poner tres colores en ella desde la app haciendo varios tonos de gradientes entre esos tres colores y ademas es mas brillosa que la anterior tira led, al menos en colores en tonos blancos es practicamente igual. Sirve perfectamente para hacer tres zonas de ambilight, como la parte de abajo de la TV, que la luz oficial para televisores no cubre… pero lamentablemente tiene fallas casi al inicio de la tira led, y por el valor que tiene frente a la competencia, decepciona bastante. Por suerte Amazon me genero un reemplazo, el cual espero llegue sin problemas ni que tampoco los presente en el futuro.

    Waste of money

    Purchased these to mount on the back of our TV to provide ambient lighting. The light quality is nice and I appreciate the compatibility with our other hue lights. The reason for the negative review is the design. There is no way to adhere these strips at a right angle (such as around the corner on the back of a TV). Additionally, as others have mentioned, the adhesive on the back of these is useless and does not stick. The light strip has fallen down daily since I put it up (even with additional support placed at the corners to deal with that issue). I really feel like this was marketed in a misleading way: “Shape Lightstrip Plus the way you like it; bend it, curve it, and cut it to size” and I completely regret spending the money on this instead of going with a less expensive option given the challenges.

    Version 3 versus 4

    The light currently listed here are the same as the V4 sold by Home depot. Prior to ordering I compared model numbers and they matched the Home Depot sets I already had. The main difference is to watch for Bluetooth (V4) non-Bluetooth (V3) I also did the suggestion from others to put electrical taper over the connectors to keep them in tack. The only reason for a 4 instead of a 5 is I had to get other mounts to keep them up and poor packing to help people with version. Make sure you get V4 connectors. I used the RJ45 connectors which were a little more expensive but I could use some of my existing cables of different lengths to connect the lights.

    Great indirect lighting, bad adhesion and mounting

    These light strips are great for adding some indirect lighting to a space. In my case I mounted them to the back edge of my desk, and the back side of my main monitor. This allows for me to do bias lighting while working and gaming, and to just add some cool effects to the room. The app that controls the strips works well, and the presets and custom settings are really nice. However, do note that the adhesion on these is really sub-par. I have had these mounted for about a month now and it is to the point that I have to press them down nearly every time I sit down to my desk in the morning. I will need to add some stronger double-sided tape most likely.

    Adhesive is horrible

    I got this to mount on the backside of a new desk, but the adhesive is so horrible that the light strip just kept falling off and then the adhesive came off the light strip itself and now I’m stuck with a light strip I can’t even use yet. Trying to decide if I want to return this or find a replacement adhesive that does a much better job than what comes on the product.The lights though are bright and perfect for my intended use is ambient light behind the desk. Set up was a little finicky and that I had to take the light strip next to the hue bridge even though it was next to other hue lights that should have carried the signal from the bridge to the light strip. Also having some Apple Home issues with controlling this specific light when others work just fine.I’m torn as I don’t recommend this based off of my issues but I also love the light output and how it matches all my other hue lights perfectly.

    Easy to install but get warm. Didn’t fully stick

    We installed these as under cabinet lighting in the kitchen. Like they were easy to install, connect to Alexa, color options.Didn’t like they didn’t fully stick, had to use command strips in some sections. They get pretty warm when on bright white setting. Excepted LED to remain relatively cool.

    Great color, poor cornering

    Love the colors and the gradient feature is absolutely top notch. These light strips don’t corner or do turns well at all though, and because of their weight if an area isn’t adhered it can drag the whole strip down.

    Terrible Adhesives But Otherwise Great

    Might be our fault, because we have the light strip above our sink, but the adhesives are not strong enough. We have had to put it back up several times. But as our first light strip we’ve been very happy, and it does mesh with our Hue system which is an older model.

    I originally purchased a few year back a Legrand Kit (HKT1), although the Legrand strip color was limited and more annoying, it was making my webcam flickering, typically cheap LED module do that. So I gave up and went to buy a second Hue Strip after a positive experience.Philips delivered. I retrofitted this ophthalmologist lamp and voila

    Adhesive is horrible not really worth it.

    Really disappointed with several things about these lights. let’s start off with the good. If you already have the Philips smart lights and smart hub of course these will work fine in adding more lights and seamless integration and setup. the light quality is good and the features with the app, not needing a remote and can use automation for smart home setups. All that said let’s move on to the bad.The adhesive is horrible for the amount that you spend on the lights you should be able to count on decent adhesive. had to by 5 dollar double side adhesive to actually make the 160+ lights worth it. I have had cheap LED lights that let you cut in several places this light to me makes you cut off too much if it was a little to long and on top of that it does not have sealed cut point so if you leave it open dirt or whatever else can get in your light ruining them. I sealed it with the piece used for the extension but this piece has no adhesive on the back and since it weighs more than the strip it will slowly pull down your lights if you did not buy extra adhesive for that piece of mounting upside down or horizontal. If i did not already have other smart lights i wouldn’t have bought them but the light quality is good and works well with the app.

    It’s a gamble if it will be recognized by the app. Way too expensive for such shenanigans.

    Update on previous review. Finally! Got it to work after a few weeks. It didn’t want to connect to the phone or wifi. And the strip won’t fit with older strips. So beware of that.

    Wanted to like the strip but did not like the dotted presentation

    The strip in general worked as described. I had to support hanging under the counter with gorilla tape vs. the adhesive backing that fell down. Integrated well with Alexa. However as a matter of taste I did not like the dotted presentation of the LED lights. Looked like a marquis. I prefer a smooth light field.

    Attaching to a TV is unreliable

    I purchased this to attach to the back of a 65 inch TV. I got the base kit and two extensions to go all the way around. They do not make corner adapters and as a result you have to create a soft bend. I attached the adhesive to back of the TV allowing it to reflect on the wall behind it. The problem is when you hit the corners you cannot attach to the TV. This change in direction eventually causes the adhesive to pull away from the TV. I have tried numerous approaches such as command strips and zip ties but it requires periodic maintenance to keep it stuck. I wish they had developed right angle corner adapters for the tape itself.

     Beautiful colors and easy to set up, but terrible instructions. I see that if u need to customize the length, you can cut one, and splice in another… but the instructions lacked any sort of explination of how to connect 2 full strips end to end. WithOUT cutting them.So I made a video a few seconds long when I figured it out.     Excellent product

    Overall I really like these strip lights. They are easy to install/setup and being able to control them from the app on my phone is wonderful. My only complaint is the adhesive needs to be stronger. The base piece keeps falling and so I purchased double sided tape to make it stay. Also, when peeling the white paper from the adhesive, be careful because it does stick to it and you’ll be pulling the adhesive from the light strip if you aren’t careful.

    Best lights w twitch integration

    So I’ve been streaming since 2016, And like other content creators you always want to have the coolest lights in your room. The cool thing about the highlights is that they can be integrated with Llumia which then can integrate with twitch and they can have like reactions and really cool things happen when people follow or tip etc. if you’re a content creator who uses twitch often I would definitely recommend these lights. You can also customize they color that they change to the exact HEX code you want to use, Or you can select from the app. Also the adhesive for this product is actually really good I even changed around my set up twice and as long as they don’t get dirty when they remove them you can stick them back on and they’ll stay pretty well
