great product!
i love this keyboard and the detachable wrist rest. one thing though—it is NOT quiet. not loud and tacky but it sounds like a normal desktop keyboard! nothing special about the “silent” to its name. it dims when idle and is very easy to clean.

Great keyboard but poor software support
The keyboard is great but sometimes capslock turns to white isntead of the color it should be with the other keys and sometimes the numpad wont register some number at random

I don’t think I’ll go back to mechanical after this one, this is great
I’m a heavy typer and always went high-end mechanical. My last one broke and funds were tight so I thought I’d downgrade and try this membrane out. I doubt I’ll go back. I’ve paid 3x more for lesser keypads. Only annoying thing is that at certain angles the tops of the letters and numbers fade to black so if you have to rely on looking at the keyboard to type then you might find this an issue. If you’re a touch typist though you’ll have zero complaints. It’s got great responsiveness and feels great, not mushy, and very similar to a mechanical feel.

Must buy gaming keybaord
I was looking for a new keyboard and came across the Roccat Magma. The reviews were pretty good so I gave it a shot. The keyboard is fantastic. I love the way it feels and it’s not too loud when typing either. The only con I have is that from the angle I’m typing I cannot see the numbers above the keyboard lit up even on the brightest setting but it’s not a big deal.

Unmatched product, criminally low price.
My wife can’t stand mechanical keyboards. She thinks the clicking is too loud, they’re annoying, so on and so forth. I game later in the evenings, typically when she’s heading to bed, and I work from home multiple days a week. All of this lead me on a pretty intense search for a keyboard that is quiet, but still feels and works great with a gaming/work setup.I could never recommend this keyboard enough. This is a market leader. I’ve owned everything from Corsair top end models to Logitech Orion boards, and this is lightyears ahead of anything I’ve used. The keys are quiet but responsive, with enough sound to feel what you’re doing, but not enough to be heard beyond a 2-3 foot radius. The actual feel is great – the keys feel like mechanical gaming board switches, with high trigger and fast response, but without the god awful “clacking”.If you’re looking for a super, over-the-top, crazy RGB gaming keyboard, this may not be for you. The backlight is cool, and definitely unique. I like that the lighting is actually on the backboard itself and not embedded in the keys, but it’s not a wide array of lights or customization to choose from. Still the options are nice, and keep some light and life at your fingers.Overall: 13/10. I will have a hard time convincing myself to ever use another keyboard. This is top tier, and the price is unbeatable. It shames $150+ keyboards I’ve used in the past.

FYI
Product is great, no complaints on that! Just be aware that the keyboard did not come in a plain amazon box or anything. Product shipped in actual box (which is fine as far as handling) but if your area is known for porch pirates or missing boxes be carful. Just beware that everyone will know what you ordered. Again product itself is wonderful and the typing is smooth and quite. If you download their free program (in order to change the colors) you can also change the sounds your keyboard makes when typing. So if you like the clicking of a mechanical or typewriter style keyboard you can have that too! Will buy more of this brand in the future.

Beautiful design (attached image is panoramic, not actually warped)
I’ll preface this by saying It is very hard to find a 104-key keyboard with linear keys at this price. Most are going to be TKL or 75% which just doesn’t work for me as I typically use the numpad for hotkeys or rhythm games (and they just look nicer)The keys themselves are beautiful and feel amazing when typing, I was pleasantly surprised by the MX Reds for my first linear keyboard. The keyboard’s rounded outline felt a little bulky at first but I quickly became used to it as it doesn’t actually get in the way where a wrist rest typically would. It also complements the general look and feel of the keyboard nicely. Unfortunately if you would prefer a wrist rest, you’re probably going to be out of luck with a magnetic one due to the designthe RGB has extensive customization using the Roccat SWARM software which is quite extensive as far as I can tell and seems to offer a way to import features however I am not sure. Its key reassignment feature is pretty lacking and I’m not sure if it even works but that’s pretty miniscule

Only one gripe: Not quiet.
I love the design of the keyboard. The blacklight surface looks very nice. The design will be easy to clean without having a recess at the bottom for all the crumbs and hair to fall into over time, so it shouldn’t get so nasty after a couple years.Keys took some getting used to after having loud clacky mechanical keyboard. But it is quieter, just not silent. My mic can barely pick it up, though.Keyboard layout is great. No annoying function key, enter and tab and backslash keys are in my favorite and mostly standard layout.Would love to have media keys though. I miss that from my previous keyboard.

It’s cool but NOT SILENT
Warning not silent at all. Pretty much a mechanical keyboard without the extra click. You can definitely here any key when pressed. Laptop keyboard are more “silent” than this. Cool RGB effect worth the price if it was marketed appropriately. However, this once again IS NOT SILENT.

1 YEAR LATER
I originally bought this keyboard with the idea of productivity and lite gaming. I chose to go with membrane because it was quieter without the need for modifications. I also loved the RGB full pppppppppppppppppp plate view. Now a year later and I am experiencing what is not stickiness in the keys. I was hoping it would do this while I was typing, just to see which keys it would do it on, as there is no consistency as to which key will give out. Reason for why you see a duplication in the letter ‘P’ that was left on purpose. Not a typo or accident. As you can also see. I’ve typed the letter ‘P’ several times after that occurrence and nothing. Oh and my space bar just left a big dump before I could close out my sentence.Huge drawback that I was not expecting to have so soon, was failure of these keys. Thankfully this keyboard wasn’t expensive. There isn’t a way to change out the key caps or switches as this is not hot swappable. Look elsewhere. You will not find them as I’ve been looking. So although the RGB is great and the keyboard looks cool, it has slight flex to it as it is all plastic. The cable is not in the greatest spot so no hiding it unless you don’t care to. The keyboard rest is completely useless due to it not being comfortable to use. You can feel your wrists pain after a while, and it takes up way too much real-estate for it not to be comfortable.RGB functions through software but it is limited as to what you can do with the options. As much as I would’ve liked to have given it a great review because it is comfortable to type on and is quiet, there are too many drawbacks.

Beautiful RGB keyboard
This is my first time using an RGB Keyboard. The back light of the keyboard looks great, it has a lot of brightness, I work in a well lit area and can easily look at the different colors. I can say this keyboard stands out during the night with soft ambient lights.Regarding the software I need to get more familiar with it, it has the basics effects I guess every RGB keyboard has, I’m glad it doesn’t take a lot of RAM memory such as other brands out there. Once I explore more it’s functions I will leave an update. The keyboard feels great, it has some interesting weight to it, which makes it feel a lot more premium, typing is really comfortable and one of the features I like the most is that it isn’t noisy, it’s a membrane keyboard after all, but it doesn’t feel like one. I’m writing this review with it, and typing this many words feels great and relaxing. I’ve never used a mechanical keyboard because I usually play with controller, so for the discounted price I bought for during black friday, I would recommend for anyone who wants to have a more premium feeling with their keyboard

keypressure and angle
For a gaming keyboard it is okay. They keys have a lot of downward travel and the pressure required feels more than most keyboards. My preference for a gaming keyboard is minimal movement and pressure, for speed. The angle front to back is also uncomfortable, I don’t know why they don’t make flat to surface keyboards, so they don’t kink the wrist up. I added over 1/2 of risers to the front of it to flatten it out.

Just overall really great!
I dont often right reviews but after a full day of using my new keyboard here, I have to say this is really great quality, sound, and look for the price. The sounds on a mechanical keyboard will never be near silent but I have to it is the softest sounding one I’ve found so far. Truly happy with this keyboard over my small ducky keyboard that cost twice as much.

Fantastic comfortable true RGB keyboard
The media could not be loaded.
Pros: Affordable mechanical gaming keyboard with RGB (no software required for it to be constantly cycling through colors), comfortable key caps, and even key presses.Cons: none so far.I have included a video of what the keys sound like when they are pressed, since apparently nobody else thought to include that in their video reviews. They are comfortable to press and produce a dull ‘thud’ as they are pressed. The space is more springy in its sound, but none of the keys sound terribly loud when being pressed in quick succession. Not ideal for a shared office space, but fantastic for a good mechanical feel without too much noise.

Can’t be beat for the price!
Amazing keyboard, Can’t be beat for the price! Super comfortable and great for gaming! My only negative feedback is the keycaps are low quality as far as the lettering/numbers, the letters/numbers aren’t machined through enough so the backlighting doesn’t show through many of the numbers as much as it should.

Not sure this is a mechanical keyboard
The ROCCAT Pyro Mechanical Gaming Keyboard with RGB Lightning, Black keyboard is pretty – good RGB.It is the right size for me. Some of the other RGB keyboards have macro keys which add to the length of the keyboard. Not something I use though I game. Prior to this purchase to compliment my ROCCAT KONE PURE mouse (which I love), I have owned the Corsair K95 mechanical keyboard – loved it, but gave to my son and the Razer Huntsman, which I really liked till I read about the security hole the Razer software opens for hackers. Both have a mechanical feel as you type or game with keyboard and mouse. So I went shopping and decided on this Roccat keyboard. Again – pretty keyboard, easy software to use for the lighting,BUT…this keyboard does NOT have the mechanical feel I had come to love from the Corsair or the Razer keyboards I have mentioned nor the clickety sound of those keyboards. One thing that amused me was the addition of keyboard sound choices within the software to enhance the illusion of mechanical keys – BUT you have to have you speakers turned on to hear those sound effects. AND with your speakers on there are two sounds – the actual sound of the keys as you type plus the sound of the keys through your speakers aided by the software. For the price – good keyboard. If you want the “extras”, save your money for a later purchase. Black Friday is coming.

Reliable keyboard, mediocre software
I moved back to a membrane keyboard after deciding I didn’t like the mechanicals after all. As a keyboard, I’ve had no problems at all. The software is pretty limited, not a lot of options with regard to the lighting (for example, sleep behavior can’t be configured at all). I do wish it had dedicated media keys, but I knew it didn’t when I bought it.

Looks Good, Functions Well
Edit at the bottom.I have only used this keyboard for a few days. Will update later if something goes funny with it.The keyboard is made of decent plastic but I’m not going to lie, it does feel a little on the flimsy side. With that said, I don’t plan to put a bowling ball on it so I’m not too worried about it hahahaha. It is probably the lightest keyboard I have ever owned to date which is why I gave it a 3 star rating for quality of material. Probably my only real complaint with the keyboard.Coming from the Hyper X Elite 2 keyboard, I forgot how much I love the feeling of membrane keys. This keyboard is not too spongy, not too slow feeling, but just right. Some people who are looking to become a 360 no scope gaming pro might want to look elsewhere because it does feel a little slower than mechanical keys, but it works very well for my gaming needs. Some people will love it or hate it. I love the feeling of the keys on this keyboard. Another small note, the keyboard is on the quieter side which is great for my wife who works third shift. No more waking her up during the day while gaming. The wrist rest that is included with it is a very sturdy feeling plastic material and does the job very well. It may be on the hard side for some, but I have been liking it more than I thought I would. Also, it is very easy to attach and detach. The RGB lighting is very bright, but not quite as nice looking as I was hoping for. Don’t get me wrong, it’s far from bad, but just didn’t look as nice as I was hoping. I’m not the biggest RGB fan so it’s not too big of a issue for me but it could be for others. Also, options for the RGB lightning setting is a little on the low side. The Roccat Swarm softwear that is used with the keyboard is easy to setup and use. My only complaint would be it doesn’t have a ton of options for customization but that’s okay for me. I’m simple anyway.Overall, if you are in the market for a cheaper keyboard that looks good, feels good, and does the job, then I highly recommend this keyboard to anyone.Edit – after using this keyboard for a few weeks now and more than I thought I would, there are some days after long use that the keys where your hands down a little bit after prolonged use.

Very unique
I had never seen a backlit keyboard like this before so I bought it instantly. I read the reviews after the fact and saw people mentioning sticking. The space bar started sticking almost immediately. Its not so much of an inconvenience because it happens pretty infrequently, and its the space bar so it can be fixed easily. The biggest concern for me is that the top right of the keyboard doesn’t fully light up. It does, in a way, kind of look intentional so its not too bad. Still, would be hard pressed to find a keyboard that looks like this so it is ok for now

Takes time to get used to, better overall.
Need to program this keyboard before being able to use. It is not plug and play. A bit of a nuisance but once you figure it out its a great keyboard that saves space, is more efficient when typing and eventually more comfortable, not very clickey with the noise and has the right feel to each typing click.

Get used to the clicking!
I love how you can make up your own color coordination across the keyboard. The feel of pressing each button takes a little getting used to, but I enjoy it by now and it’s been at least three weeks. But yes, I’m very happy with it. I have loads of keyboards, so this is just one more that I enjoy. : )

Doesn’t stay lit up when inactive
Love it, however the lights go into standby when you are inactive for a certain period of time. They go from 100% brightness to like 0.5%. Orher than that I am loving this keyboard. I found it through a turtle beach advertisement in my email so I’m assuming Roccat is owned by them. So far this keyboard is the best one I’ve bought and cheaper than some of the others as well. Keep Looking
I really wanted to love this keyboard. It’s so unique looking and had glowing reviews. Unfortunately, the space key sticks really bad. For gaming, this is pretty bad.We normally go for Razer or Corsair keyboards, but wanted to try something different. This one stood out because of its beautifully different design, claims of having the top mechanical membrane, and great reviews. We were pretty disappointed. It’s worth the extra money to stay with the main gaming brands.

Good for the price… Mostly
This is a decent keyboard, if you want some color, a quality mechanical keyboard for the money and a gentle sound. However the palm rest is just a piece of plastic and only takes up space. The rgb is only in zone and not individually addressable. And the feet and pads aren’t that good, and still shift in a wooden desk. There are keyboards in this price range that have individually addressable, a more solid construction, better feet, and your choice of key switches. Ultimately I returned it for another brand with those features, that only cost 5 more dollars.

It feels good and types quietly.
this product types quietly for a mechanical keyboard. The keystrokes feel fluid and the RGB isnt overwhelming while still being noticable. DO NOT BUY
I don’t often write negative reviews but this one requires one.The good: The keyboard itself is almost great and has VERY quiet keys, the blacklight is cool and unique and very adjustable. The bad: The number keys aren’t fully visibile at any kind of angle – to clarify the number keys are only half visible while sitting in a normal chair at a normal desk height. Only the bottom portion of the number keys are visible. Slouch in your chair and it gets even worse. It’s really too bad because the manufacturer could have got this right but I believe it is a major design flaw. How did they not test for this? I had to return the keyboard because it was unusable do to this.

Great keyboard, terrible interface
The keyboard feels incredible, and I enjoy it more than my Razer one. The only problem is the application used to change the colours… I’m used to Chroma, an app that has thousands of ways to customize the colours and I had a special design that was a constant wave of 4 colours and left a green spot each key I pressed. With Roccat’s app there is very little. Around 5 different ways to change what you want, and most of it has nothing to do with the colour. If you wanna buy this, expect to use the base colours.

I am a CAD Drafter and love the feel of the keys for typing commands on the keyboard.
