Ok but low torque
It’s a nice little kit, but the very first time I needed to use it, it lacked enough torque to get a screw into the wood. It’s probably fine for removing screws or less heavy duty situations.

Blown away by this little gem. Plenty of torque for smaller projects, I use it for work. She tops out near 5 inch-lbs. My partner at work LOVES this as do I. Can’t replace the battery but a solid charge lasts forever. Just ordered another just in case.

SKIL Rechargeable 4V Cordless Screwdriver
This screwdriver is strictly for light load jobs. The forward/reverse is kinda of awkward to work, but it’s doable. Again, light load jobs. Don’t except this thing to back out anything with the least bit of rust or a lock nut on the end.

Unleashing Convenience and Power
In today’s fast-paced world, having a reliable and efficient tool to tackle household projects is essential. As an avid DIY enthusiast, I recently had the pleasure of trying out the SKIL Rechargeable 4V Cordless Screwdriver with Circuit Sensor Technology. This all-in-one powerhouse amazed me with its versatility, innovative features, and convenient design. In this detailed and unbiased review, I will share my personal experience, covering all the key points that make this tool a game-changer for any homeowner or professional.Product Design and Ergonomics:From the moment I unboxed the SKIL Rechargeable 4V Cordless Screwdriver, I was impressed by its sleek and ergonomic design. The compact size and lightweight construction make it easy to handle, even during long projects. The soft-grip handle offers excellent comfort and control, reducing fatigue and ensuring precise screw driving.Circuit Sensor Technology:One of the standout features of this screwdriver is the Circuit Sensor Technology. It detects live wires in outlets, switches, and cords, ensuring safety during electrical projects. As someone who values safety above all else, I found this feature invaluable. The screwdriver alerts you with a red light and an audible warning, preventing any accidental contact with live circuits.Power and Performance:Despite its small size, the SKIL Rechargeable 4V Cordless Screwdriver packs a punch in terms of power. The 4V motor provides ample torque for a wide range of applications. I tested it on various materials, including wood, plastic, and metal, and it effortlessly drove screws without stripping or damaging the surfaces. The variable speed trigger allows for precise control, ensuring consistent and accurate results every time.Rechargeable Battery and Charging:Gone are the days of dealing with disposable batteries. This screwdriver comes with a built-in lithium-ion battery, which not only provides long-lasting power but is also rechargeable. The included USB charging cable makes it convenient to charge the screwdriver anywhere, from a computer, power bank, or even a car charger. With a quick charge time of just 1 hour, the screwdriver is always ready for action.Versatility and Bit Set:The SKIL Rechargeable 4V Cordless Screwdriver comes with a comprehensive 45-piece bit set, offering unrivaled versatility. The bits are made of durable materials and cover a wide range of sizes and types, including Phillips, slotted, hex, and Torx. Whether you’re assembling furniture, hanging shelves, or working on electronics, this screwdriver has the perfect bit for the job.LED Work Light:Working in dimly lit spaces can be frustrating and hinder productivity. Thankfully, SKIL has incorporated a bright LED work light into this screwdriver. The light is positioned just above the bit, providing ample illumination precisely where you need it. I found this feature particularly useful when working in tight corners or under cabinets.Convenience and Carrying Case:To keep everything organized, the SKIL Rechargeable 4V Cordless Screwdriver comes with a sturdy carrying case. The case has designated slots for the screwdriver, bits, and charging cable, ensuring that everything stays in place. Whether you’re a DIY enthusiast like me or a professional contractor, having a dedicated storage solution makes it easy to keep your tools organized and accessible. Conclusion:In conclusion, the SKIL Rechargeable 4V Cordless Screwdriver with Circuit Sensor Technology exceeded my expectations in every aspect. With its user-friendly design, Circuit Sensor Technology, power, versatility, and thoughtful features, it has become an indispensable tool in my arsenal. The combination of convenience, safety, and performance make it a must-have for anyone tackling projects around the house or on the job site. If you’re seeking a reliable and efficient cordless screwdriver, I wholeheartedly recommend the SKIL Rechargeable 4V Cordless Screwdriver.

Indispensable for DIY projects
I was looking for a power screw driver and was debating between this one and others with pistol grips. I decided on the SKIL and have been pretty happy about that decision. This is now my go-to tool with my DIY projects. Assembling a furniture is now less of a chore and more of an enjoyable experience. While I like my new toy, I do have the following gripes:- Weak Torque. I wish this thing has more torque, and a way to adjust that. The SKIL will help you drive that screw in, but may not have the power to really tighten it for you. Some manual power is require in some cases. On the bright side, this is not necessary since there is less danger of over tightening something and ruin your project.- Control is a bit awkward. The power/direction switch is a ring on the front part of the tool. This is not an issue when you are holding it with both hands. With a single handed operation, you need to either do a pencil grip or to wrap your palm around the front body, rather than on the back of the tool. This does make it challenging in some cases. However, so far, it’s more of an occasional inconvenience for me than a deal breaker.Overall, the SKIL is a great tool and I still give it a five stars, despite of the above list of short comings.

Finally a powerful electric screw driver
Tried a few different electric screw drivers and was extremely underwhelmed by their power and performance. This screwdriver, however, is quite powerful and feels much more premium despite the fact it’s cheaper than many of its competitors. This thing has plenty of torque and attachments to complete most jobs around the house. I use it specifically for building PCs and other electronics. My only complaint is the case seems like it was a bit of an afterthought as it’s very bulky and doesn’t make the most sense in terms of design. That’s a very small complaint. The voltage censor is actually a useful, thoughtful feature as well that I do use. Overall great tool and would recommend.

Seriously Cool
My electrician had one of these in his kit when he came to my house and I instantly knew I had to have one… this thing works great – particularly on tedious outlet covers and switch plates. It also comes with a ton of bits – including security screw bits. This thing isn’t going to apply a ton of torque, but when it comes to unscrewing stuff around the house it’s great.I will say: I tested the voltage detector and it seems to work well, too, but wasn’t really a huge selling point for me.

Not magnetic
Bit holder is not very magnetic if at all. I expected that a screw at the end of the bit would be held in place by the magnetic force, but, it does not. Had to buy another holder that would.

It’s a tiny workhorse!
This screwdriver is great! It is super easy to change attachments. I love that it comes with its own carrying case and charging cord although it works with any micro usb. I used it for several months before I had to charge it a second time. The little twist spot to make it go is so convenient for tight spaces -much easier to use than a trigger button. Just buy it already!

Small and compact.
Works pretty well for the desired application. I’ve read other reviews stating that it didn’t have enough torque or power, that’s CORRECT. If you’re looking for that in a tool, then go buy a real drill or impact. This works great for small stuff, especially when I’m installing light switches all day and covers for plugs. Not sure about the volt tester, haven’t used it as much but so far it works okay. If you want a contactless voltage tester I recommend a Klein or Fluke tester instead.

Big bang for your buck
This was a good purchase. I paid $34 and compared to products more than double the size it stacks up. The Dewalt cordless screw driver is about $90. I’m sure it works fine but it won’t produce more power. It comes with a nice bit set, usb charging cord and a nice little case. I’m very happy with the purchase and the $34 price rag made it extra sweet.

Weak, best thing are the bits
Weak. I assembled several shelves, not once did it screw it tight enough that grownups using a pinkie, or an arthritic 90-yr old grandma couldn’t tighten more (even right after full charge). It’s only useful for getting it half there, and at least includes some bits, hence (generous) 3 stars. I would not buy this again.

Problems: Poor bit selection, no speed control, no friction clutch, rolls away, trigger not good
I’ve had a week to live with this since I picked it up for the Prime Day sale, and to be honest, it’s not a great electric screwdriver. The problems are as follows:(1) There’s no clutch that allows you to restrict the amount of torque applied to a fastener. I was really surprised at this, and maybe it’s my fault for not reading the specs carefully, but the idea that a modern electric screwdriver would leave out a torque clutch really surprises me. As a result, every time you drive a screw, you need to be careful to stop before you over-torque. This makes it nearly useless for any kind of precision work.(2) No speed control. Your choices are full forward, full reverse. This wouldn’t be a huge problem if it had a friction clutch, but it doesn’t. So not only can you not limit the torque, you also can’t slow it down.(3) The body of the screwdriver has no bumps or stops to prevent it from rolling away. I didn’t realize how much of a pain this would be until it rolled off of several surfaces while I was perched on step stools & ladders.(4) The “collar” slider that you have to push right or left to go forward or reverse is surprisingly less intuitive and easy to use than you’d think. With traditional push button or trigger controls, pushing the button also grips the handle, actions that are complementary in stabilizing the tool during use. With the collar, you have to turn the collar left & right with your thumb or index finger, which is a less comfortable hand movement that loosens grip on the tool just as you start it up. As a result, one-handed operation is a bit fraught, and trying to start the screwdriver can lead to misaligning or dropping the tool.(5) A minor point, the selection of bits is odd. No metrics, a bunch of security bits that most people will never use. It’s hard to get the bits out of the box.If you’re mostly going to use it for household maintenance — screws in drywall, lumber, etc — then it should be an OK tool, as long as it doesn’t roll away on you.If you also need to do precision work, it’s the wrong tool. My 10 year old SKIL Li-Ion drill has a high torque setting, speed control, and a friction clutch. I should have just stuck with it.

Nice size battery screwdriver and lots of bits to use.
This is a nice size battery screwdriver kit with plenty of bits. Very easy to use and works well. For something like this keep in mind its not overly powerful and you will need an impact driver to get really difficult screws. But the good thing about this is for smaller screws, you won’t strip out what your working on.

I have had this electric screw driver stored in a closet. I just took it out to assemble a piece of furniture and the battery life was still strong and lasted the full 3 hours i needed it to. I have never had a dead battery and I have owned it now for about a year.

Weaker than I hoped
Just like the title says, this thing is weaker than I thought it would be. It has a hard time dealing with anything more than hand tight. I wish I remember who made the last one I had. The bit set that comes with it is nice but once you remove a bit from the case it won’t stay in there again.

Don’t have to worry about it being charged
My old cordless screwdriver was always dead when needed even if it was put away with a fresh charge. This product has not let me down yet even when it has sat on the shelf for a month before using it again. I even don’t even worry about having to charge it after a short project.I wish it had variable speed but that’s not a deal breaker. Run the screw in fast and then finish it by turning it manually. The same goes for a starting a stuck screw. Break it loose manually and then run it out. It also came with a very cheap, stiff and short USB cable for charging using your own cell phone charger. You probably have a better cable laying around not being used anyway. Neither of these features would be worth adding a lot to the price to fix though. The extra driver bits include a lot of oddballs that I’ve run into from time to time. Good value having them come with the kit. I like that the case fits everything in it too.

Nice tool….
This is a great little tool for smaller projects. Comes with a number of heads n extensions. Powerful tool witch is easy to handle. Does the job well. The Tool Box it comes in is nice, but has a flaw. Once you take a screw head out. You go to put it back in, it doesn’t fit right. It becomes loose and falls out when you close the box. So you need to keep the clear plastic inside liner it comes with. or you will have heads all over.

Not Enough Torque

So far, so good!
Bought this after using a Milwaukee m18 drill for small electronic screws. Didn’t have an issue with the drill, but it was overkill. Yes, I could go with a m12 driver, but its not as compact and then I’d only have 1 tool with that size battery. As hotel maintenance, I wanted something small and not over powering to use either workbench or floating through the building. This almost fits the bill for that. The battery life is fantastic. I charged it once and it has lasted 2 weeks of intermitten work.It only has 3 things I would want to see improved:-some form of clip accessory so I can hang it from my belt instead of dropping it in a cargo pocket.-include a short p2 bit in the kit. I have the 45 +/- piece kit and it had the longer version. Not normally an issue, but would be nice to have.-provide an option without the circuit sensor. It is a nice feature, but in my line of work, it is not necessary and it may add bulk to the driver.Overall, it was worth the money because it has worked well for me. I’ve used all different brand 1/4″ bits and Leatherman bits with success. I just need to find a better way to carry it daily. It currently sits in my tool cart with the most common bits and if I know I’m opening something up, it comes along for the trip. Would recommend to any maintenance tech who wants a low profile driver.

WOW, IS THIS PRODUCT A WINNER
This specific model SKILL battery driven screwdriver is all that one could hope for and more. It was being used by an air conditioning technician when I first saw it. He recommended it highly, a guy who depends upon good tools to make his living. I was immediately impressed with its design and build quality.I went online and bought one myself. That was a year ago. I like it as well as any tool I’ve ever owned.I used it again earlier today – AND ordered TWO MORE.Small in size so that it fits the palm of your hand, or pants pocket. It has sufficient torque to seat or remove most screws that you typically encounter. Charges quickly and holds that charge for weeks. It’s NOT built for heavy duty, repetitive work; get something bigger for those jobs. But for convenience this one is certainly a winner. The build quality is very impressive.

Looks great and compact.
I originally bought this to replace my black and decker cordless mini screw driver. Nothing was wrong with that one it unfortunately got lost at a junkyard. The one thing I didn’t like about that one was that the bits, the drill and the charger were all in separate locations. I saw that SKIL had then all together which really enabled my decision to purchase it. The fact that it had many positive reviews also helped. I really love that it is all in one case. When I first opened the package from the Amazon box i thought I got a defective CASE because it wasn’t closing together properly. Turns out it was just the plastic on the inside that keeps a division between the drill and drill bits. Once that was removed it closed properly. Another surprise was that it had a little charge on it. I was able to test out that electrical tester feature and sure enough that works great. The led lights are really bright. Over all it looks great and feels great. The whole turning of the round switch while holding the drill will take some getting used to but it doesn’t affect my overall 5 out 5 rating I give this compact drill. I would most definitely recommend this if you’re looking to do small jobs. I can’t stress enough how great it is to have all the things in that one little case. No having to search for or carry separate things. Totally awesome.
